Okay so there was some speculation because an account named "David Jenkins" started getting into the fun with everyone today (but not Chaos Dad's account). Many folks thought it was a bot that maybe somehow got attached to our trends, but I read back to when the account was created back in January and they've been around a bit. They've hopped on the bandwagon against WB for quite some time (for CoyoteVsAcme, etc) so it's still possible they're a bot, but hard to tell for sure. What did cause some excitement was Chaos Dad then blocked them.

Red Carpet Style: Garfield Movie Premiere

Harvey attended the world premiere of the Garfield movie at the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood yesterday in another gorgeous outfit by Christian Siriano!

The ensemble includes two pieces from Siriano's Fall 2024 collection, and marks the seventh time the two have collaborated for red carpet looks since Harvey first approached Siriano to create his red carpet look for the 2023 Oscars!

The suit jacket is this bronze cropped blazer ($2200), which features an elegant pinstripe texture, a broad peaked tuxedo collar, and a single matching cloth-covered button closure. The pants are these bronze wide leg cargo trousers ($1400) featuring a high waistline, relaxed hip, and extra-wide leg that evokes men's fashions of the 1930s. Both items are currently available for pre-order, and come in sizes ranging from US 0 to US 30.

These were styled with a pair of black platform lace-up boots (similar to styles found at sites like Demonia Cult and Lamoda), a black scoop-necked undershirt, and a delicate gold circle pendant necklace. The look was finished with hair styling by Connie Agawin and makeup by Romie Macedo. Harvey has worked with both Agawin and Macedo numerous times in the past for his red carpet and event looks.

This look is both gorgeous and on-theme, and it's impressive how Harvey and his team managed to create a look that stood out and looked incredible against the most garish orange background imaginable. I've been dying to see what red (well orange in this case) carpet looks Harvey would come up with this year, after so many incredible best-dressed moments last year, and this did not disappoint!

I hope we can look forward to many more collaborations between Harvey and Siriano in the future as well, and that their continued successes will inspire more designers to create stunning pieces for plus sized people!

EDIT: As additional photos become available, I am no longer 100% certain if that is a gold circle pendant or a pearl pendant that Harvey is wearing. I will update the post with a correction if additional information about the necklace becomes available!

E assim começámos, com um total de 9 horas dormidas em dois dias, onde passámos deste glamour:

Chegados a LA, primeiro destino Hollywood

Tenho a dizer-vos, e não virá com surpresa para alguns de vós (ou até para a maioria depois de me terem visto actuar no casamento) , que me sinto em casa. Sempre disse que estava destinada a Hollywood... não seria era numa perspectiva de turista mas sim de uma estrela em ascensão mas potatoe, potato.

A verdade é que aqui estamos nós e a sensação, por muito corny que pareça, de olhar à volta e ver os cenários de montanhas e palmeiras com o Hollywood sign faz sentir que tudo é possível (até o meu American Dream de um dia ser atriz de Hollywood).

Embebidos neste espírito de glamour do cinema, estrelas de televisão, celebridades seguimos até à Hollywood Boulevard para duas primeiras pit stops:

Um restaurante da icónica cadeia de hambúrgueres In-N-Out, uma celebrity favorite e aclamada por muitos por ter os melhores burgers de sempre. São, de facto, muito bons e valem o hype sim senhor. Para além da envolvência engraçada tal e qual os reality-shows das filas de Teslas e Chevrolets gigantes no drivethrough.

Uma CVS Pharmacy porque - não vão acreditar - o doente crónico esqueceu-se de trazer todos os seus comprimidos!! Já cheio de síndromes de abstinência e com os sintomas da rinite no pico, teve de lidar

com a desilusão de que um dos que toma só vai conseguir com a receita médica

com a confrontação que os anti-alérgicos que toma em Portugal não estão aprovados nos EUA, pelo que teve de arranjar substitutos

com o facto de que iria estar um mês sem tomar o seu comprimido para a queda de cabelo, facto com o qual se conformou rapidamente (para minha surpresa) alegando "já estou casado, já não preciso" 😂

Daqui seguimos rumo ao Hollywood Walk of Fame (a passadeira de estrelas), ao TLC Chinese Theatre (com as pegadas e as impressões das mãos dos famosos) e ao Dolby Theatre (onde são filmados os Óscares).

Ficou muito contente por ter o mesmo tamanho de pés que o Terminator.

Depois deste passeio sucumbimos ao jetlag, não sem antes sermos convidados a fazer um teste de personalidade grates para ver se seríamos gullible o suficiente para entrar na Cientologia -- Murica at its finest.

Voltaremos já descansados e com a promessa dum vídeo que mostra o que dizia uma review do nosso hotel "the rooms have a weird configuration". Apenas vos deixando com um teaser: nothing screams honeymoon-romance more than a bathroom door shared between the shower and the toilet and that doesn't fully close. The price you pay to be in Hollywood.

Epic USA Birthday Adventure

My birthday is in April. For the first time in a number of years, I wanted to do something to celebrate my birthday. So the decision was made - I was going to spend my birthday at Walt Disney World.

From there, plans were made for an Epic Birthday Adventure....Four Australian girls taking on (select parts of) the USA.  Come along as I recap our adventure!

Part 12 – Los Angeles, Part 3

Our final stop of the day was on Hollywood Boulevard, at the historic TLC Chinese Theatre. It was smaller than I expected but very cool to see the prints and signatures on the ground. We also went for a wander along part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame to check out the brass stars.

When we were ready to return to the hotel, we had a bit of a dilemma. The hop-on hop-off buses had finished running, so we ended up having to take an Uber back.

So I saw an Exclusive Sneak Peak/Making of Panel for Frozen 2 Today!!

and I have this awesome pin to prove it! lol. I’m Not much of a pin guy but this is one Nice as hell pin.

But Basically Long story short is that last year I had the opportunity to Volunteer at the Animation Is Film Festival down at the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood right by where I went to school. I had a lot of fun last year and decided to volunteer again this year. The event itself is largely Anime Movies from Japan getting their first major screenings in the west, with usually a Q&A afterwards, though there’s some other international and western animation presenting as well.  My Duties mainly consisted of stuff like helping set up, scanning and ripping tickets, handing out ballots for people to rate the movie, etc. The Thursday night before the Event officially started I’m mentioning in a GC how i’m Volunteering at the Event again this year and a friend of mind asks if i’m going to the frozen 2 panel they’re having. At that time this was the first I was hearing of it and said I would try to get in. Towards the end of my shift Friday I ask about possibly getting into the making of Frozen 2 Panel on Saturday, and they said they’d try to get me into the stand by line, and on Saturday I asked again and they said i’d be able to go but I’d probably have to stay a little longer to help out some more, which worked out with my train schedule home perfectly. 11:00 am rolls around and they still had tickets left for the F2 Event so I pass my job off to another volunteer and make my way to the Theater

The Panel Featured Co Director Chris Buck Discussing his history in the animation industry and Going over the BTS History of Frozen 2. He Discussed Working with Songwriters Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez again, showed some pictures and video clips from their research trips to places like Norway and Iceland and it was awesome and absolutely beautiful.  

Afterwards he went into talking about Frozen 2 itself, doing a brief overview of the story to introduce the Clips they had, and they had a surprising amount. He also went into the cast and mentions Lieutenant Matthias and I found out it’s pronounced Mat-Tee-Us, so that’s good to know

(very very mild spoilers, nothing that really hasn’t been seen in any trailers or ads yet but just a heads up anyways)

 The first clip they showed was a snippet of Queen Iduna’s lullaby with young Anna and Elsa. Next They showed a VERY lengthy clip that was the entire Charades scene up until when everyone is fleeing Arendelle after Elsa awakens the spirits, including into the unknown and Elsa and Anna snuggling. For Starters, Kristoff is 1000% DOUBLE CONFIRMED HOLDING A RING IN THAT ONE SHOT. Into The Unknown sounds Fantastic! I already like it more than Let it Go, it sounds so Epic and dramatic I love it. The Charades scene is great, and the bit with Anna and Elsa snuggling is cute as hell. The next clip they showed is Elsa and the Gang initially heading into the fog to get to the enchanted forest, then the next clip they showed was the Olaf Song, which sounds great, feels like a sequel to the first song in style and tone. The last Clip they showed was Elsa Running across the water, which is specifically Called “The Dark Sea”, which is an awesome name, sounds like a mortal kombat Stage, and bit of her her almost fighting game like encounter/battle with the Nokk. The Water Looks amazing in this movie, and The score, or at least the temp score in this clip, was great! After That they went into a Q&A. Some Highlights include (mild ish spoilers):

- Chis Buck making a slip of the tongue and saying “We Really like this Water Made of Horse”

- When asked about Marshmallow, Chis Buck Said “I can’t say anything but you will be surprised”

-When asked about Alan Tudyk showing up, he said yes, but not who, other than “ he doesn’t sound like King Candy or the Duke of Weselton

And that was the end of the Panel. It was great and I’m so Glad I was able to Make it. If any of y’all have any questions feel free to message me.

This was probably the best set I’ve done since I came back. I was prepared, and I didn’t have to work today, so I wasn’t harried or overtaxed. And I have the next day off too. Of course, always room for improvement, but I’m getting some practice in matching beats, flowing disparate things together. It’s amazing to me how some things work in this setting and some things don’t. And it has nothing to do with the quality of the music, just it’s width. And breadth. Music and records are the best. I like it at least.
