so tired of the bluza objectifying women takes.... obviously all media is polysemic whatever but in my opinion bluza doesn't? at least not in a way we're supposed to agree with. while zoran is definitely possessive over her in a way that points to objectification i would not in ANY way suggest she is objectified in the mv itself. she clearly portrayed as her own character with personality, she is clearly as infatuated with bojan as he is with her... it's mutual. bojan literally doesnt even address the other man until HE HITS HIM-- its not like theyre fighting for dominance (and "possession" over the girl). ultimately, she CHOOSES to kiss bojan.

some could argue that the way bojan seems to fall in love in a split second is incredibly shallow and could signify her status as nothing more than eye candy. however i believe the "love at first sight" trope (GOING ALL THE WAY BACK TO LITERALLY ROMEO AND JULIET) is clearly utilised just to show romance. does showing interest in someone new inherently suggest objectification? even if so, not to repeat myself, but the attraction is mutual-- it wouldn't be something exclusive to women in this mv. i could start referencing visual codes and stuff but i soo cant be assed

at the end of the day is the plot maybe a bit overdone? yes. could the girl have played a bigger, more active role in the narrative? definitely. but i really think the allegation of objectifying women in bluza is BARELY substantial.

Of course Soundwave reassures him, promises him, proves to him that he loves Cosmos and not Megatron, but it’s hard when Soundwave has night terrors and he’s calling out Megatron’s name instead of his. When he sees pictures of Megatron on the Lost Light and stares for hours, obsessive, fixated on the mech he once loved a mech he swears he doesn’t love. It’s hard.

Also Coswave unrequited love scenario……..,, Cosmos loves Soundwave and Soundwave knows this, but he can’t love Cosmos the way he loves him. So they’re stuck in a perpetual state of “I love you” “I don’t know how to respond to that” and it’s awful and horrible.
