Luche Lazarus:
"Luche, you´re alive!" you run into his arms at full speed, both of you fell hard on the floor. He seemed genuinely suprised, until his eyebrows knitted together and his lips were pursued just in thin line. You knew what this gesture meant. Displeased.
"What are you doing here!? I send you investigate to Leide. Fuck, this can´t be really happening." he pushed you away from him, making space between you two. You didn´t understand it at all. "Luche, I came back, because I discovered that some of our comrades want to betray Insomnia. So listen to me!" the distress in your voice was palpable.
Luche abruptly stood up. His usually soft features are now graced with sorrowful look . " It´s true, Y/N. Most of us betrayed the king." your jaw dropped. You shook your head in disbelief at that revelation. Luche wouldn't do this, he wasn't like that. Yet you knew him perhaps too well. Luche as any other refugee was despised by Insomnians, and no matter how many people they saved or how many battles they won in the king´s name, Insomnians never accepted them among themselves. Many times you have defended them against rude Insomnians with their snark remarks. But you were just one kind spirit among many assholes. Luche´s intesive stare locked you in place.
" I didn´t wanted you to be caught in this crossfire Y/N. That´s why I send you away on that mission. " he smiled ruefully at you, " But you and your unsatisfied curiosity, always causing trouble." You struggled to get up, it felt like a bad dream that came from the worst nightmare. It's like your mind stopped working, only thing that spinned your mind was betrayl. Luche continued to speak in his soothing voice, giving you a false hope.
" Hide somewhere away from Insomnia, and I will find you Y/N. You´re after all too precious for me to lost." He pulls his gun out, pointing it straight at you. Stunned. Confused. You just stood here frozen in place. Until you finally found the strength to answer him.
" Please, Luche. Stop this madness, this isn´t you! Come with me, we can hide together before the Empire!" you pleaded. He was tempted, but abandoning his cause and be runaway with you, still at cost turning his back toward his people and home? Luche knew it woudn´t go smoothly with you. " It´s too late Y/N. I made up my mind long time ago."
" I am not doing that! Come with me." Luche shakes his head, the gun was still pointed at you. If It can't be the easy way, then you can do it the hard way. " Luche!" you lunged to grab him by the arm in which he holds the gun.
" Go away Y/N!" the trigger was pulled and the bullet bit into your shoulder. Pained scream leaved your lips. It's like time has stopped all of a sudden. You started slowly backing away from him. This is not the Luche you knew and loved. Before you was a cold-blooded man capable of doing anything to succeed in his plan. Tears streamed down your face like a river. Fear possessed you, you heard yourself spoke but it felt like it weren´t your words or even your body.
"You´re not the man that I once loved. You´re just a fucking cruel monster! I wish I would never met you " you throw at him the last thing of your searing bond, the unspoked goodbye. Turning your back at him, you ran as far as possible to safety . Adrenaline coursed through your veins. Even though the injury awfully throbbed, you wanted to be away from such heartless man.
You didn´t turn your back to see those shivering hands which picked your engagement ring. Or how his face was twisted in stabbing pain and cheeks were wet from tears. In that moment you took Luche´s heart with you, and he knew he would never be whole again. Luche became an empty shell, a broken shadow of his formel self.
Nyx Ulric:
Nyx rushes from HQ to the hospital as fast as he could, when he heard the bad news from your doctor. He was so worried for you, yet pissed at why you didn´t told him about your health problem. You dated for five years for Astral´s sake! The recepcionist welcomed him and asked what he needed. " I need to know the room of Y/N S/N. I am their partner, Nyx Ulric." said hastily. She typed something in her to small computer. "It´s room 237 on the six floor, sir." answered the kind woman behind the counter. Nyx went straight to the elevator. Oh, how he hated hospitals.
Finally after some searching, he´s got in to your room. Which was so sterile and white, ugh! Nyx internally cringed. Next to the window was your bed. You were hooked to some beeping machines, your lower half covered in blanket. When your gazes met across a room, a weak smile barely made it on your lips.
" Why didn´t you tell me!?" his outburst suprised you, but it was not unexpected. "Nyx, I don´t want you to see me like that." suddenly your hands looked more interesting that this conversation, "You had already so much on your plate with the Kingsglaive. I didn´t wanted you to be worried for me too." Nyx frowned. " Are you kidding me? Is that why you were distant these few months?! I could have been there for you, by your side. Together we could have endure it. But it seems to me, you chose for both of us." you didn´t miss the bitter tone in his voice. With all your might in your body left, you sharply answered. "If somebody wasn´t always holed in his work or on party with their friends and flirting with everybody there. And then avoiding me like a plague! That is the reason I didn´t tell you, I am not sure I can´t trust anymore." you looked him deeply into eyes at your last sentence. That was the last straw for Nyx. After everything you´ve been through. The anger took better of him.
" Fine! You want it that way, then so be it! I am leaving you, if you can´t trust me enough Y/N! It´´s over, I hope you´re happy!" Nyx stormed off your room, slamming the door shut. " Nyx, wait!" you yelled after him in vain, tears threatened to spill. The pain in your chest intensified, you couldn´t breathe.
The anger made him see bloody red. Nyx slumps to the ground, his palm was balled into a fist, it drawed a blood. He felt so miserable and helpless, just like when Selene died. Nyx lost her and then he´s supposed to lost you too?! He couldn´t stop crying even if he wanted. It was too much.
--
Libertus found him a hours later, on the same spot where Nyx dropped. He had an absent look on his face, usually his stormy blue eyes full of energy were now hollow and puffy. His chin rested on his knees, which he hugged losely to his chest. Nyx looked so defeated, just like when his sister died. Libertus heart broke with grief, at the condition of his almost brother when Nyx uttered his way a single line.
" They´re gone, Libertus."
Titus Drautos:
The blown thrown him harshly at the remnants of concrete wall. Nyx reflexes were too slow from exhaustion, so when his head hit the wall Nyx vision went instantly black. Glauca saw his body slide to the ground, unmoving. Cautiously he went closer to finish his enemy off, while Nyx was still unconscious. Glauca yanked him roughly by his hair, maneuvering him into a semi-sitting position, preparing him for an execution. He let the sword rest on his shoulder, in pose of final victory.
" I commend you for standing by your word, Ulric. But this fight comes to an end."He raised his sword in a final strike. Glauca´s voice sounded somehow strained through his helmet. " Goodbye, Nyx Ulric."
" ARGHH!" a kukri was tossed precisely at Glauca´s head. He at last second ducked and rolled from the way, leaving poor Nyx abandoned on the ground. Glauca quickly scrambled to his feet, eyes frantically searching surounded area for the attacker. His mind quickly analyzed the situation. The kukri came from the right side of that debris. The attacker´s probably light on their feet, so someone from glaives was probably still alive. A shadow flashed in the right corner of his eye. There! So the attack comes from ... A figure dressed in glaive´s battle armor emerged from shadows on his left. Guided by his honned reflexes, he stabbed without remorse. But it was too late when his brain registred who did he stabbed. Y/N fell down on their knees, blood gushed from the stab wound like a waterfall. Glauca horiffied by his own action, took down the helmet. And in his place was Titus Drautos, the trusted captain of the glaives and your lover. He was the traitor, you were looking for among your ranks.
"Titus ... Why?" you tiredly managed to say. The blood loss started to take a heavy tool on your body. Breathing became raspy and beads of sweat were forming on your forehead.
" NO, NO no! Don´t talk Y/N, fuck! I need you to preserve your strenght, okay!" he tried to steady himself to appear calm. Shit, he didn´t have a flask of healing potion on him. Titus managed to apply the first aid, in a vain attempt to keep you alive. He saw too much wounds to knew the outcome, but he will try to do his damn best.
"You´re idiot, you know that? I'd hit you for that kind of stupidity...." You briefly paused. The strength in your body was rapidly dwindling." I would have followed you through a hell, if you asked me." The cold began to spread across your whole body. Titus gave a disheartening smile. " I know you would, love. But this was too much even for you. I had to bear it alone." He squeezed your hand soothingly. You could feel the inevitable coming, yet you weren´t ready to say goodbye.
" I love you, my silly captain ..." was the last thing you said, when Lady Etros took you in her land.
"No, stay with me Y/N! Fuck! Precious, don´t do this to me!" Your eyes became glassy and lifeless, when you took your last breath. Meanwhile Nyx has shaken himself out of the injury, rage boiled in his veins at the sight of your corpse. Titus touched affectionately your cheek, while teary - eyed he whispered his last goodbye.
"I will meet with you on the other side, dearest."

Cor Leonis x F.Reader (x Yandere!Drautos) - Traitor (Part 1)
(Pictures/GIF are not mine! Found on Pinterest/Google/tumblr - Collage made by myself.)
Many thanks to @fangirl-ramblings 🖤 she has been beta reading for me 🌹
Warning: Yandere!Drautos, obsessive behavior, angst, mention of death
Summary: You were supposed to be his, but instead Cor Leonis had found happiness with you. Drauto's obsession with you is getting worse by the day, until finally he would walk over dead bodies to get you.
Cor Leonis x F.Reader (x Yandere!Drautos) - Traitor (Part 1)
"I would prefer not to let you go at all, darling." Y/N looked up at Cor as her fingers gently caressed his bare chest. They had made love in these sheets for hours, and now they lay exhausted next to each other, with Y/N more than happy to have Cor all to herself for once. It often happened that Cor was away on a mission for days or even weeks at a time, all because of his work as a king's guard, and so she wouldn't get to see him. She could never be sure if she would reunite with him, because what he was doing was not without risks. "I know. But I have no choice but to go." Lovingly, Cor stroked through her hair as he looked at her pretty face. "Hey... don't give me that sad look. It's only for a short time and you know I don't take risks with my life. Don't worry." It was so easy to say, but Y/N was afraid of the day when someday someone would show up at her door and give her the terrible news that Cor was dead. Y/N buried her face against his neck and Cor could clearly hear her sigh, whereupon he put his strong arms around her body and just held her. Of course, he was afraid of not being able to return to her, but he was part of the King's Guard and he led the soldiers who fought for Lucis to help protect the people of this kingdom. But sometimes Cor wished he could withdraw from this great responsibility and enjoy life together with Y/N. So far, they had not even found the time to travel together. He wanted to be able to offer the young woman so much more, but his work took a lot out of him. "And tonight there will be a small celebration at the royal palace. You've been looking forward to that for weeks, Y/N." The young woman nodded, smiled a bit, and Cor was very happy to see that. He was also looking forward to it, especially as he couldn't wait to dance with her. Oh, he was very proud to call such a wonderful woman as Y/N his girlfriend. She was smart, beautiful and had her heart in the right place. Sure, some envious glances would be drawn to her, especially since Y/N was a lot younger than he was and one or the other wondered why she hadn't chosen a man of the same age. But the answer was simple. Cor Leonis was the man she loved. He was loving, tender and treated her as she should be treated; with the greatest respect that one had to show a woman. Fifteen years separated them. But what difference did that make? Age did not matter, as is well known, and Cor really did not look his age. Apart from that he was fit and well trained. "I got myself a wonderful dress and I'm sure you'll like it as much as I do!" "Mhm~ I'm looking forward to taking it off of you again" Cor purred, gently kissing her lips. The young woman smirked in amusement, looking into his wonderful blue eyes. "I'm sure that can be arranged."
A few days later...
"Don't worry. I'll be returning home in a few days." With a clearly worried look, Y/N looked up at Cor and yet she nodded. She had absolute understanding for his situation, because in the end it was his job to take care of this kingdom. "If something happens, Drautos will be there to protect you." Titus Drautos; leader and instructor of the Kingsglaives, and an excellent fighter. Titus nodded at Cor, then glanced at the beautiful woman he had secretly desired for months like no other woman. But she was tied to someone else and she showed no interest in him. Actually, Titus had decided to accept this fact, but he found it very difficult. Every time he saw her, his lust and hunger for this woman increased immeasurably. "I miss you already, darling," she whispered and Cor could see the tears in her eyes. He shook his head gently as he smiled at her, taking her petite face in his strong yet gentle hands. "No one will stop me from returning to you," he whispered to her before kissing her soft lips. Y/N could count on Cor, but no one could really say what tomorrow would bring and somehow the feeling crept over her that something bad would happen in the near future. This feeling was so intense that it gave her a stomach ache and made her feel more than uncomfortable. "I have to go now, Y/N. I love you." "I love you too, Cor." A final farewell kiss was shared before Cor descended the steps in front of the royal estate. Before getting into his black car, he threw the young woman a warm smile, which she instantly returned. "Don't worry. Cor is a survivor." The young woman heard Drauto's words and yet she was not really persuaded by them. "I hope he will return to me this time as well." Drautos forced a smile, even though jealousy had him in a tight grip. "He will. Don't worry."
But in the days that followed, Insomnia was to meet a horrible fate. The heart of the city was attacked by Niflheim and many people lost their lives. "Y/N! Y/N!" Drautos strode through the corridors of the palace, looking for the young woman to help lead her to safety. What would happen to his king, or to his loyal companions, did not interest him. Y/N was the only one he wanted to keep safe. He rushed into one of the countless rooms and he was more than happy when he found her. "Drautos!" "What are you still doing here? You need to get out of here right now!" Even as he spoke, Drautos walked up to the dark-haired woman and gently grabbed her hand. "What's happening out there, Drautos?!" She was scared, you couldn't blame her, and you could hear it clearly in her voice. "Insomnia is under attack!" She instantly realized that King Regis was the target. And not only him, but also his followers were chosen as victims. "Regis... Oh my god! I have to get to them!" But Drautos prevented her from risking her life, for that was exactly what she would lose if she moved through the palace without an escort. "Please let me go, Drautos! I have to take care of the injured!" For that was the young woman's job. She was a nurse, a healer, who pursued her profession with great passion. "Be reasonable, Y/N! I promised Cor to protect you!" Cor! Where was he? Hopefully he was not near the capital, otherwise something might have happened to him as well, and losing him would not be something the young woman could handle. "Where is he, Drautos? Have you heard anything from him?" The captain sighed deeply. He hadn't heard from Cor, but this moment would give him a golden opportunity he didn't want to miss. He played with the idea of lying to Y/N. "Cor... Is... he fell, Y/N." His words were barely getting through to her and she didn't know what to say in response at first. She just stared at him with wide eyes and a thick lump forming in her throat. "He won't come back." "No... No, no, no! What are you saying?" The first tears wet her delicate skin as she realized what Drautos was telling her. Her Cor was supposed to be dead? No! This could not be! "Drautos! He can't be dead!" she cried out outraged, hitting the officer as hard as she could against his chest. Luckily his armor prevented the feeling of any pain but the young woman kept hitting, so Drautos finally grabbed her wrists and made her stop. She would only hurt herself. "Y/N! If we don't get out of here, you'll die too! Is that what you want?!" Y/N sobbed loudly, completely distraught and shocked that Cor was no longer alive. "Who tells such lies?! Cor doesn't just die for no reason!" So now she would never be able to lie in his arms again? Never again be able to feel his skin on hers? His kisses and his touches would only be a memory? "I just got this message a few minutes ago. The men who were on a mission with him can confirm it." "No... no, that can't be..." When the young woman made no move, Drautos grabbed her arm and pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, but you're not going to die today either!" The young woman let the officer hug her, but his words gave her no comfort. How could she handle the death of her beloved Cor? Drautos looked at the young woman after he had moved away from her a bit. His hands still rested on her arms. "I gave Cor my word to protect you! And I will!" He reached for her hand and pulled her with him. If he had to, he would throw her over his shoulder to get her out of this building, but the young woman simply let Drautos lead her, because in the end, she didn't care what would happen to her. Drautos walked down the long corridor and in his mind things were happening that should not be. Things that should not be! He had already made the big mistake of lying to Y/N about Cor. Cor was still alive, Drautos was convinced of that, and he was on his way here to bring Y/N out of the capital. But Drautos was faster than the king's guard and may the gods forgive him, but he desired someone else's wife and this obsession was unbearable for him.
♦♦♦♦
Actually, she should get herself to safety. Yes, actually she should live on, but she just couldn't bring herself to leave Insomnia and without Cor, she didn't want to go anyway. She did not believe that he was dead. Y/N felt that he was still alive! And she knew he was on his way to her. But Drautos told her that Cor would not return. Why would he lie to her? During the whole car ride, she silently looked out the window and all felt pain as all the memories of her time together with Cor flooded her mind. Drautos drove on unperturbed, but every now and then, his eyes wandered over to her and he knew what he had done with his lie. But that was exactly how he wanted her to be, so that she would build trust in him, so that he would become the center in her shattered world and then, she would finally be his. Drautos was a patient man in many things, but as far as his passion for Y/N was concerned, it was a terrible enemy to his patience. "Where are we going?" "To Lestallum. There you will be safe!" Y/N said nothing in reply, for in the end she did not care. Not only had she lost Cor, but she had been driven from her home. By a power-hungry Niflheimer who was forcefully taking the kingdom of Lucis. The farther they went from Insomnia, the quieter it became. In Lestallum, there was no trace of the terrible attack on the kingdom. But the people in that city had felt the violent tremors and they were worried about the neighboring country. At some point Drautos brought the car to a halt, but Y/N made no move. Sighing, the officer turned to the beautiful woman and looked at her anxiously. "Come on, Y/N. You should rest and try to get some sleep. Do you want me to send for a doctor?" "No," was her curt reply, but she did not turn her gaze to him. Drautos sighed again, but got out of the car and went around to the passenger side to open the door for the young woman. When he held out his hand to her, she looked up at him and her expression was full of sadness. Her eyes swollen and red from the salty tears she had shed. "Let me be there for you, Y/N," he said in a soft voice and Y/N seemed to hesitate for a moment, but finally she grabbed his hand and got out of the car.

"Sir! Over here, sir!" Cor was shocked by the violence reflected before his eyes. So many victims lay under the rubble and the only thing he could think about right now was Y/N and his king. "Where is the king? Is he safe?!" But Cor was disappointed in this regard. "He... he's dead, sir..." "My gods, no..." Cor sighed heavily, running his hand over his face and thus wiping the sweat from his forehead. "Goddammit! Those bastards!" It was hard to believe that King Regis was no longer alive. How could this have happened? Where were his bodyguards? Where was Drautos? Cor himself had not been able to be with him, for the king had sent him on a mission, and yet, Cor blamed himself terribly for that. For 29 years now, he had been a member of the King's Guard to protect his king, but today, on this fateful day, he had failed. "Where is Y/N? Have you taken her to safety?!" His concern for the young woman was enormous, for he had been unable to reach her by phone and he could only hope that she was not among the victims. "Sir, she went with Officer Drautos earlier!" Cor had no idea what Drautos had done and what his true intentions were regarding Y/N. "Do you have any idea where Drautos might have taken Y/N? Have you had a chance to speak with him?" "No, I'm sorry sir! Have you not tried to reach him by calling him?" "I can't get through to him or Y/N!" said Cor as he held up his smartphone a bit, but the wireless network was completely down. "When did they leave?" Cor put his smartphone back in his jacket pocket while waiting for more information from the soldier. "About an hour ago, sir!" A soft sigh slipped across Cor's lips when he heard that. Lestallum was not far from here and a safe place. There was nothing left for the commander to do but search Lestallum for her, and he hoped he would find her as soon as possible. In the meantime, Cor tried to reach the two of them by phone, but Insomnia was just one more dead zone. "Damn..." But before Cor would start searching for his girlfriend, he wanted to check on his king one last time and say goodbye. So he set himself in motion. "Take care of the injured! Make sure and look for any other survivors! Go!" "Sir! Yes, sir!"

"I don't believe Cor is dead..." "I wish he were still alive, Y/N. But..." Drautos lied shamelessly to her face and it was getting easier for him, but she seemed convinced that Cor was still alive. "Y/N, you're exhausted and you've been through a lot. Why don't you go lie down? And I'll get you something to eat?" But Y/N wouldn't hear of it. She was far too upset to retire. "No, Drautos." "Okay." He headed for the door, and before leaving the room, he turned to her once more. "I'll be in the room next door if you need anything." With that, he left the young woman alone in the hotel room. The moment Drautos left the room, she burst into tears again. Her heart was bleeding because something inside her had died. How could she go on living like this without her soul mate? Cor was her everything. He couldn't just be dead! Suddenly, the vibrating of the smartphone drew the young woman's attention. Drautos had left his phone on the table and suddenly the thought crept into her mind that this call was meant for her. Or maybe it was just the little spark of hope inside her that told her so. Finally Y/N decided to take the smartphone and when she read the name on the display, her heart almost stopped in shock. Cor Leonis. Immediately she picked up the call and she was already afraid that it was not her Love who was talking to her, but one of his men. "Drautos? Drautos, can you hear me?! Where are you?" It was his voice! It was Cor speaking on the other end of the line. Not a word left the young woman's pretty lips at first. "Drautos! Damn it, can you hear me?" "Cor..." "Y/N?!" She had sensed from the beginning that Cor was still alive! Y/N was immensely relieved and this time, it was tears of joy she shed. "You're alive! It's really you!" Cor frowned a bit in confusion, wondering where she would even get the idea that he was dead. "Y/N! Are you all right?" Cor was driving through the streets at a fast speed, probably way over the limit, but he didn't care because he wanted to be with Y/N. "Yes! I'm fine, darling!" "Where are you, Y/N? Where did Drautos take you?" It suddenly became quiet on the phone, as Y/N wondered why Drautos had told her about Cor's death. From a safe source his words had come, Drautos had claimed. She frowned as she replayed Drautos' words in her mind. What possessed him to lie to her like this? Something told her that he had done this on purpose. That bad feeling she had had from the very beginning when she had gotten into the car with Drautos had been a warning. "Y/N! Y/N, are you still there?" "Drautos told me you were dead." "What? What did he say?" Judging from his tone, he didn't like that fact at all. He pushed the stick into fifth gear a little harder than he would have liked, while pushing the gas pedal even more unrestrained. "He said one of your men informed him..." "None of my men did anything like that! I don't know why he would tell you something like that, but I don't like it at all! Where are you, Y/N?" "I'm in Lestallum. I..." The next moment the door to her room opened and Drautos stood at the door, seeing that the young woman was holding his phone. Y/N gave the officer a disregarding look as she finished the following words. "I'm waiting for you at the Hotel Leville, Cor!" Drautos gasped when he heard that name. He had blown his cover and the young woman did not seem pleased by it...
Next chapter is coming soon...

Hi! Please :)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ooooooh… YAY! Ok, ok… so I have one fic currently for FFXV… BUT I also have 2 more that I’m wanting to start so, as you are my first ask, and because you sent me so many stars… I’m going to talk a little about those too ☺️💙😉
A Tall Glass of Red Wine - When I found out that Ardyn’s ability to alter his appearance to look like other people was something he did quite often, I immediately had an idea to use it in my fic! He begins to have suspicions about the reader’s identity so plays a trick on her, making her think someone has come to rescue her, when in fact it is him… an unlikely person reveals the truth to the reader 😉
Currently Untitled OC x Ignis Fic - This is going to be slightly Canon… some events will still happen, but not all of them, and my OC is going to be a twin sister to Gladio (still need to decide on a flower name that sounds good) there will be other relationships happening in the background one of which being Cor x Drautos, Titus is NOT Glauca! (I have an explanation for that in my head ready to write) I have quite a few ideas for this one, I’m excited to start it.
Currently Untitled OC x Drautos Fic - This one is completely AU… again I’m not having Titus as Glauca in this fic, he is just Captain Drautos! He and the OC meet when he leads a battalion of Kingsglaive to Galahd to help escaping refugees get out, she had been caught in the cross fire and was injured. Once in Insomnia she joins the Glaive and things escalate from there 😉
The link to the ask meme can be found here ☺️

Bet (Titus Drautos)
{Angst} The Glaive is interested in his private life, but gets much more than they bargained for with a stolen wedding ring.
Warnings: Character death(s)
Song: Where’s My Love (Acoustic)
They say that he is a brute of a man that has never known anything other than the feel of steel against his skin and the pommel of a sword in his hand. The captain of the Glaive is everything they expect him to be: cold, guarded, and as stalwart as a steel wall. Nothing gets past him.
The Glaive knows this is false.
Drautos is just Drautos. He’s just grumpy. That’s what they do know. What they don’t know is how he got that way. Everyone has a story, and one way or another, everyone ends up sharing. Except for him: Drautos. Not a word is breathed about his personal life. Some are unsure if he ever leaves the Glaive headquarters.
That’s just the way that things were, though. As much as all of them would like to know something about him, the man was too guarded. And no one dared to outright ask him.
But on an offhand chance, it was Luche who discovered the only piece of information they had about the man that was Titus Drautos.
It had started with a series of finished reports on a late night once everyone else had left for home. Drautos had been out of his office, and thus the only logical thing to do was to leave them out on his desk.
As he approached, the glimmer of a gold band caught his eye in the dim lamplight. It was a ring, but not just any old ring, a wedding ring. There was no mistaking it. It had been polished to a shining perfection, in perfect condition.
Upon hearing the sounds of scuffed boots against the stone floor, Luche was out of the room faster than he thought possible. Instead of getting out of the building and forgetting what he saw--which would have been the smart choice--he found himself lingering by the doorway, watching Drautos slip back inside his office.
Then, and only once he was sure that Drautos was already lost in thought--as he usually did when he wasn’t barking at the Glaives--did he peek through the crack in the doorway. A hand off to the side of the frame steadied Luche, and he leaned his body as close as he could get, one eye surveying the man inside, breath as still and controlled as he could manage. He was sure that should even a particle of dust be disturbed, he would be discovered.
As expected, Drautos’ hands went to the reports first, dully taking in the carefully printed information before setting them aside, to the brief annoyance of Luche. Instead, Drautos took hold of the glimmering band, tracing the smooth surface with a finger and staring dismally at it. Luche swore that his features were softening.
That was all he needed before he was backing up and sprinting to his car, phone already out in his hand and contacting the others.
~
Meet at the bar, was the bright text that lit up Nyx’s phone screen. Unusually cryptic, even for a man like Luche. Even still, he found himself getting ready to leave. If Luche wanted them to meet, it was probably important, or at least decently interesting. He never encouraged their little gatherings otherwise, but he was always there.
He was the last to arrive of their group, the others already around the table, trying to pester Luche into revealing why he had assembled them.
“A mission?” Crowe asked, to which Luche shook his head, arms crossed and brows pinching together in annoyance.
“Intel then,” Pelna offered hopefully.
Another shake of the head from Luche. When he spotted Nyx he beckoned him over hurriedly. The urgency both surprised and took the hero off-guard.
“About time.” Libertus nudged his friend. Nyx just smirked and shrugged his shoulders.
“So, are you finally going to tell us why we’re here at literally 3 in the morning?” It was Tredd this time, the redhead leaning back in his chair with his feet propped on the table.
“I have some information on Drautos,” was all Luche managed to start with before the group around him erupted into shouts of exclamation, chairs grating across the floor, and the rustling of clothing. Even Tredd leaned forward. Sonitus and Axis shared a dubious glance before they too, were waiting with bated breath.
“Settle down!” he yelled out, quieting the others.
They were far too interested in hearing what he had to say to poke fun at his belief that he was truly in charge of the Glaive behind Drautos.
“Spit it out, Luche!” Libertus urged.
“Earlier this evening, when I dropped off the paperwork, I saw something in Drautos’ office.”
Each Glaive sat on the edge of their seat, literally, waiting with stock stillness.
“There was a ring. A wedding ring. Gold band, well kept.”
“Captain Drautos is married?” Crowe’s nose wrinkled, and she fell back in her chair.
“Or it’s just a memento,” Tredd scoffed. “Doubt you actually found anything.”
“I’m sure of what I saw. Not to mention he got this faraway look on his face when he was looking at it. Drautos has a wife out there somewhere, mark my words.” Luche finished, relaxing now that his story was shared.
The group grew quiet. If what Luche said was true, that meant that Drautos had a family. A humanizing factor that was, simply put, strange.
~
The news was sent through the Glaive, a buzz taking over them all with that little fact being the only topic of conversation. Bets were being made frequently, with higher stakes and bigger consequences. Everyone wanted to know if the rumor was true.
“All right, all right, all right!” Tredd called out in the locker rooms, all eyes turning toward him. “I’ve got a dare,” a smile curved across his face, “and the person that takes it will be recognized as the ballsiest of all Glaives.”
A ripple of laughter moved through the crowd, someone calling out for him to get on with it.
“First person that can steal the ring from Drautos--without getting caught!” He paused for effect. “Gets the title, and a pretty sum of gil.”
Amusement no longer hung heavy in the air, the other members silencing as they weighed the stakes of the bet. Stealing something from the Captain? Especially something that seemed to hold such significant value? If the person was caught there was no telling what would happen to them.
“I’ll do it.” All eyes turned toward Nyx, who was resting against the wall with an easy air about him. Already cocky in his ability, this was just another thing to add to his list of feats.
“All right, hero,” Tredd’s eyes narrowed, “you’re on.”
~
Luche had told Nyx that on occasion Drautos would leave his office. The ring would most likely be kept inside, but these periods were brief and far in between. The amount of late nights Nyx had spent at the Glaive Headquarters under the pretense of extra training was ridiculous. He was certain that Drautos was beginning to catch on, but he never said anything.
Each day Tredd would come with that easy smirk, inquiring about the ring and laughing when he heard that Nyx hadn’t gotten it yet. “Careful, hero, might have to renounce that title of yours.”
Nyx gritted his teeth as the redhead walked off, self-assured that his bet would stand and no one would be able to get that ring.
But now, as Drautos left his office, and Nyx was slinking in, he found himself with the ring at his fingertips. Exactly as Luche described, it was in impeccable condition, polished to a shine, smooth to the touch. His fingers enclosed around it.
“You took up the bet?”
“Sir!” Nyx startled, almost flinging the ring across the room.
“Doesn’t answer the question.” His voice was unusually gruff, and he looked drained as he walked around the Glaive to his chair, taking a seat.
“I… How did you know about that?” Nyx slowly turned to face him, finding himself relaxing now that he wasn’t immediately receiving Drautos’ sword through his gut.
Drautos gave him a pointed look. “You think I don’t know about all of you prying into my private life? Hard to ignore, especially when you’re all obnoxious about it.”
Nyx winced, a forced chuckle coming from his lips.
Drautos opened a drawer and pulled out a picture. The colors were fading and the folds over it indicated just how long he had been holding onto the piece for. He laid it bare on the desk, tapping the corner with a grunt.
Nyx’s eyes glanced up at his captain’s almost as if asking for permission before they peered over at the photo, greedily drinking in every scene. He couldn’t wait to tell everyone about this.
A smiling Drautos stood next to an equally elated woman. She was holding tight to his torso in a half hug, eyes bright and hair that was touched by sunlight, almost giving her a halo.
“This is…?”
“My wife.” He finished with a nod. The usual gruffness had left his voice, and Nyx found himself watching his captain as he traced a gentle finger over the face of the woman.
In the presence of the photo, he was a softer man, something Nyx had never seen before.
“Lost her when the wall went away.” Nyx almost didn’t hear the whispered words of Drautos, they were so soft. He looked up. “We know what it’s like to lose people.”
Briefly, in his mind’s eye, Nyx could see Selena, the photo of her on the corkboard in his run down apartment, smiling as bright as the woman in the picture before him.
“Do with this as you will. Couldn’t care less.” There was that usual hard-shell exterior he was used to. The picture was folded up carefully, tucked back into the drawer. The wedding ring was picked up in his hands, and he offered it to Nyx.
“You’re just going to hand it to me?” He asked.
Drautos arched an eyebrow. “That’s what this is about, right? I know about the bet. Just take the ring, Ulric.”
Nyx took it, caught in a daze as he walked out of the office and back home.
The ring found it’s way onto the desk, just below the picture of Selena, and as he picked it up to inspect it the next day, his eyes briefly traced over hers.
~
“Well, Nyxie, you get the ring, yet?” Tredd called as he spotted the hero stepping into the training room.
Nyx just smiled and shook his head. “Callin’ off the bet, Tredd. You win. The ring’s security is too tight and I’m not about to skin myself to get it.”
Tredd laughed in giddy glee before shouting out to the rest of those present, “You hear that? Hero isn’t nearly as ballsy as we all thought!”
Nyx shrugged.
When Drautos returned back to his office in the morning, he found the golden ring sitting on the center of his desk.
~
He never expected to go out this way. But he couldn’t say that it was all that bad. The sun was rising, and for the first time in a long time he was free.
Nyx had already crumbled to dust, fragments disappearing on the horizon, taking the stories that Drautos had shared with him. Once he himself was gone, there would be no one left to recount who he was. And that was liberating.
He let himself fade, and swore he felt arms wrap around him, a chaste brushing of lips over his brow.
Did you run away?
Did you run away? I don't need to know
If you ran away
If you ran away, come back home
Just come home

lost you anyway pt. i
Remember, I didn’t walk away. You let me go.
for @the-immortal-marshal
You had started sleeping in separate rooms. You had moved into the guest bedroom and you couldn’t speak to Titus with it turning into a fight. If you didn’t realize it then, you do now. Your marriage crumbled into dust because of it. Any dream of little feets running through these halls and rooms were gone; he was a traitor. He was General Glauca.
You were a proud Lucian.
You didn’t know how he was pulling it off when the Glaive was deployed when he had to lead both sides. You didn’t care. And when he disappeared for several weeks, you started the process of being reinstated from your early retirement. Ezma was ecstatic; one of her seasoned hunters would be returning to duty and she helped speed up the process. You have reissued dog tags after you finished the paperwork on your end.
And no matter how rocky your marriage to the man was, Titus was the only one you had left and so he was to be notified and given your tags if you were killed in action.
Titus returned as you were watching the news. Tenebrae annexed by Niflheim; The Oracle-Queen Sylva dead.
It was another argument. You both hit the other with words meant to hurt. (You are not the man I fell in love with! The boy you fell in love with is dead!) He stormed out the house you had bought together, door slamming behind him. And when you knew he was gone, you broke down and cried. When you rose from your ashes, you burned with a vengeance.
To hell if the process wasn’t done yet. You were going now.
You packed up your gear. Your rifles and guns in their crates, ammo in the canisters, potions, and elixirs in a box on the back seat. You put on the body armor and holsters you hadn’t touched in years; surprised it all still fit after so long. Your boots on, and hair tied back.
Titus came home as you finished loading up your Humvee early the next morning. He didn’t say anything; it was as if he had already known you’d leave. And you didn’t know if that hurt worse. He didn’t do anything. Said nothing. Just watched as you made your last checks in the driveway and he watched as you got in the vehicle and drove away after one last look at him.
He stood there as in the rearview mirror until you couldn’t see him anymore, hands in his pockets. A part of you, still desperate for this to work between you, hoped that he would call the gates and tell them to not let you through. But no.
They waved you through with no questions. “Captain Drautos’ orders.” The glaive on duty there said.
And you left Insomnia with no more backward glances.
You let her go, Titus. You could have a little harder to get her to understand. You could have held her longer. Loved her sweeter. And you let her go.
If anyone asked you about her, Titus Drautos, you would have to say, “She was the only one you loved, and she became everything you had lost.”

002. playful | titus drautos x fem!reader |
There is happy bantering. Titus is amused.
Word Count: 359
At first glance, Titus Drautos is grizzled and cynical.
And at second glance, he is still grizzled and cynical.
He is not the type of man most women look at twice, if at all: there’s an aura of intimidation that comes with being captain of the Kingsglaive, and he wears it well like armor. Even you were not always immune to his effect.
(You still vaguely remember wishing to shrivel up and die the first time his gaze fell upon you.)
But you are not afraid now.
No, now, you say cheeky things like, “If your frown lines were any deeper, they’d have to name a canyon after you.”
And instead of tossing you into the dark recesses of some prison cell (as the rumours would have you believe), Titus only harrumphs and says without missing a beat, “If you’d stop being a brat, I wouldn’t have any frown lines.”
You gasp in mock betrayal, kicking at his shin. He doesn’t defend himself, secretly pleased by the domesticity of it all. Titus enjoys indulging in your theatrics.
“You’re a brute,” you pout. “You’re sleeping on the couch tonight!”
“Ah yes, one night free from your snoring.”
“I do not snore!”
Not quite ready to concede defeat, Titus sweeps you up into his arms before plopping down on the couch. “If I am to be banished from the bed—that I bought, mind you—then you’d better be joining me.”
“That kind of ruins the whole point,” you mutter but it’s difficult to keep up the pretense with his steady, firm chest beneath you, his strong arms encompassing you. Shyly, you glance up, meeting his gaze. To be sure, Titus makes for an awfully stern portrait of a man in his uniform, but his eyes are filled with mirth, even as his lips dip into a mock frown to chide you for your stubbornness. It’s an uncommon gaiety you bring out in each other.
He is not the type of man most women look at twice, but he is your big, bad brute of a man and on days like today, you could stare at him forever and be content.

(idk man, I just wanted to write a smut where Titus, Nyx, Cor and Gladio fuck the readers brains out. So away we go!)
Tagging:

Genre: Smut… it’s all smut. BDSM. Possible triggers for some. (Pain, humiliation, choking, orgasm denial, the whole shebang) If any of that makes you uncomfortable you’re going to have a bad time.
Word Count: 2,293
Pairing: Reader x Titus x Nyx x Cor x Gladio (oh yeah… we all fuckin)
PART 1 of 4
Your body lay still on the soft bed; you gulp down the small lump forming in your throat before taking in a deep breath through your nose. Warm, rough fingers trail down the side of your neck causing your heartbeat to quicken. A gasp would of followed, if it wasn’t for the gag around your mouth. The warm fingers now trailed down your smooth skin, passing between your breasts, then to your stomach before vanishing. You glance down to see him kneeling on the bed between your legs, a proud smirk on his face.
“I’m going to have fun with you doll.” he said, grabbing the hem of his shirt.
Lifting the shirt over his head to reveal his rippling muscles. Tossing the shirt aside he then sits up onto his knees and reaches for his belt buckle. Your eyes quickly found the distinct bulge in his pants, and your body reacted accordingly. Your legs quivered a bit and you arched your back while edging down closer to him.
“Hm?” he questioned amusingly. “Someone impatient?” He slowly began to unbutton his jeans, pulling the zipper down at an unbearable speed. His removed his jeans, revealing his boxers. The bulge stressing to push through, showing just how big and hard his dick was. That was where he stopped unfortunately. Instead of fulling undressing, he put his hands on the bed and leaned down towards you.
Pressing his hard dick down between your legs he started to move his hips, slowly rubbing himself against your clit. You let out a soft moan and spread your legs wider for him. The pleasure, as good as it felt didn’t last long. He lifted his hip off of you, causing you to whimper underneath the gag.
Your protest was amusing to him. Making him chuckle as he smirked down at you. His gaze quickly traveled down to your breast, and he licked his lips. Inhaling sharply, you held your breath as he leaned his head down. His tongue found the sensitive skin of your right nipple, licking at it in spirals.
He pulled back, the cool air of the room nipped at the wetness making your nipple harden. Next, just the tip of his tongue begins to dance circles around it. Finally, he opened his mouth wider and took your breast, slowly pulling back, sucking hard as he did. A warm sensation pinched at your nipple, when you glanced down you saw that your nipple was between his teeth. He sucked harshly and you let out a small cry. You arched your back, wanting more from him. Small jolts of pain and pleasure filled you until he released the hardened bud from his hold.
Your left breast soon received the same amount of attention. Leaving it hard and radiating with pleasurable pain. His mouth then moved to the skin just under it, sucking hard and long enough to leave a red mark.
He sat back and moaned as he gazed at his handiwork. His face glowing with accomplishment from marking your body. His rough hands moved up along your sides, cupping your breast he slowly started to massage them. Then squeezing harder and harder until you squirmed.
“You can handle it.” He uttered and flicked his wrist.
As your back came off the bed, a loud metal bang echoed around the room. Bound in handcuffs that connected to the metal headboard, you could only move a little as the contraption forced your hands to stay above your head. He chuckled at the sight of you squirming below him, and wanting more from you, he dug his fingertips into your flesh. More pain shot through your body until finally, he let go.
You blinked your eyes and took in as many breaths as you could through your nose. His hands were still on your body as you feel them begin to snake down your sides, right below your breast giving a little squeeze. Then he moved down another inch and another while squeezing. As they made their way down your body, you glanced down and saw the look on his face. Your legs on their own pressed against his body in a useless attempt to close.
His hands rested on your knees, waiting for you to open them. When you didn’t budge, he pried them open for you. Your legs widened, exposing yourself more for him. He stared down at your pussy and subconsciously licked his lips at the sight.
He moved back on the bed and laid down on his stomach, perching his head between your legs. The warm air that escaped from his mouth was so inviting, it took everything in you not to push up in to him. He took exception to that and moved him mouth away. Instead, he turned his sight towards your inner thigh and placed a trail of kisses down it. Then your right thigh received the same kisses. When his mouth inched closer to your heat once more, he kissed the skin around your clit.
You whined, as the pulsating ache between your legs was growing stronger. Gods he was so good at teasing you. Suddenly his tongue flicked at your clit, making your jump a bit from the rough sensation. A few more flicks before the tip of his tongue circled the small bud laying between your wetness. Relief filled you as he pressed his tongue against you in a long, slow lick.
Your eyes fluttered shut slowly as you laid your head back and moaned in pleasure. He licked you over and over, the roughness of his tongue drawing out the intense pressure deep in your core. You wanted to grab his head, hold tight to his hair not letting him come up to breath; instead, you used your legs to touch him. Rubbing one ankle down his side as your other leg bent to go behind his head, pushing him down slightly closer to your pussy. As you pushed him down closer, his mouth clamped down and sucked harshly on your swollen clit.
Instantly your body jerked from the sensation. It was all too much for being so close to climax. The pleasure changed to pain; it was if lighting was running through your entire body. And he didn’t stop. Crying out your body thrashed around as you attempted to get him off you. His arms quickly wrapped around your legs, holding you in place. You tugged on the cuffs that binded you, feeling the metal dig into your skin as you attempted to break free. You closed your eyes shut and shook your head back and forth hoping he would stop.
Just when you thought you couldn’t take anymore, he pulled away and released you. Your legs landed heavily on the bed and your lungs quickly filled with air. Lingering pain radiated from your clit, taking its time to fade away. You whimpered under you gag as you felt the bed dip. Opening your eyes you looked up and saw the man who had tortured you.
“Hey doll.” he said defensively. “You’re the one who put on that gag.” He brought one hand up to gently wipe his thumb over the cloth covering your lips. He leaned into you, his lips hovering just above yours, “means you don’t have a say in what happens.” Then his hand reached downwards.
You felt the tip of his cock rub around your entrance just before pushing in, slowly filling you. You let out a throaty moan under the cloth.
“And I can tell you’re loving this.” Gladio continued with a smirk. “This soaking wet pussy of yours says so.” Turning his head, his attention went to a dark figure in the corner of the room. “Though, honestly I still can’t believe you like watching dude.”
You turned your head and saw the man slumped in a chair. Your boyfriend, who was watching his fellow colleague crawl all over your body. From the outline of his hard dick in his pants, you knew what Gladio said was true. It was turning him on.
Nyx huffed. “Are you complaining?”
You tuned you attention back to Gladio, just as he turned his head back as well. His eyes roamed down your body, “Hell no.”
You heard Nyx chuckle but Gladio held your attention by moving his hips, moving them in such a pleasurable motion that sent small waves of ecstasy through your body. You glanced down to watch as his dick thrust inside you.
“Choke her.”
Gladio stopped moving and frowned a little. You eyed him as you felt his left hand lightly take hold of your throat. His grip was so light that you were still able to turn and face Nyx. You knew that he wouldn’t be happy with such a pathetic grip.
As you suspected, Nyx frowned and lowered his head in disapproval. “What the fuck was that?” he growled.
“You know I’m not into that stuff.” Gladio protested. “If you wanted her to get chocked out you should do it yourself, or get Titus in here.”
Nyx scoffed at the suggestion. “Well Drautos is in a meeting still with the Marshal, and she can wait a bit longer for me.”
Suddenly you felt Gladio pull away, as he flipped you over onto your stomach. Then you jumped as a stinging smack landed on your ass.
“There. Ya happy?”
Nyx rolled his eyes but didn’t say anything. He just simply adjusted in the chair as his erection was fighting to release from his pants.
Gladio’s hands grabbed at your hips, yanking you upwards. You were on your knees, your ass in the air as you rested on your elbows. You turned your head as best you could and caught a glimpse of Gladio licking his lips again. He rubbed the head of his dick over your pussy before putting just the tip in. Then roughly shoving himself all the way in. At this angle, his dick went further in you and felt a sharp jolt of pain deep inside you. You yelped and your body surged forward away from him.
“Where the hell you think you’re going?” Gladio questioned. His hands gripping at your hips even tighter, pulling you into him. His dick now buried deep inside you and you whined as you shifted your body, attempting to find a position that alleviated this pain.
A chuckle made you turn your head to look at Nyx. He was sitting straight now, no longer slumped in the chair. His soft blue eyes filled with excitement.
“She always did have a hard time with your size.” He commented with a smirk. His right hand started to roam over the large bulge in his pants. “Fuck her real hard.”
Gladio adjusted on the bed making sure to have a firm grip on you.
“Now that I can do.”
You little time to brace yourself as Gladio pulled himself almost all the way out. Then he slammed in to you with such a force that it sent a jolt of pain through your body. Over and over, his hips collided against you as he fucked you relentlessly.
You grabbed at the metal bed frame and used it as best you could to stop yourself from moving forward. All while at the same time trying to find a position that helped to lessen the hurt he was giving you. Your pained whimpers were muffled from the gag, but you knew that even if he had heard you, he wouldn’t stop. Which brought a new flame of arousal inside you.
Pleasure mixed with pain started to muddle your mind as you found yourself losing control of your body. Mixed emotions of wanting him to stop, but also silently begging him to keep going. Your muscles tightened and you found yourself shifting again. Trying to move in sync with him rather than against.
“Oh fuck.” Gladio groaned, his fingernails digging into the soft flesh of your body.
All of a sudden, you felt his thick muscular arm wrap around your neck, pulling you into a new position. You cried out, quickly lifting your upper body up and tilting your head back. This new angle had Gladio hitting you in just the right spot that had your entire body shaking. Your core starting to twist, desperate for release. Through hooded eyes you could see Nyx was beside you now, an amused sparkle in his eyes.
“He did well. Reward him.” He commanded. You felt as his hand reached underneath you. You inhaled sharply through your nose and your vision unfocused at the touch of his single finger toying with your clit. Squeezing your eyes tight, your orgasm flowed over you and sent you reeling. Your body bucked on its own but neither of the men were fazed. Gladio’s hard dick contained pounding into you and Nyx’s finger rubbed over your throbbing clit. Drawing out your orgasm until all the pleasure faded away.
The arm holding you at your neck released and you completely collapsed on to the bed. Laying on your stomach, you felt Gladio still pushing inside you. Your mind was a cloud of fog as you slowly came down from your high. You let Gladio have his way with your body as his orgasm was nearing. Then the sound of him loudly cursing and moaning reached your ears before you felt his weight land against your back.
He huffed, forcing warm air to tickle at the back of your neck. Rubbing the side of his rough beard against your back he took in your scent before lifting up. He sat up with a groan and climbed off the bed.
You overheard the two men exchanging a few hushed words, then moments later the door open and close.

Titus x reader "breakfast"
This thing you’ve been having with Titus, Captain of the Kingsglaive – more rock than man, this non-relationship-purely-physical thing you’ve been having has been going on for the better part of the past year.
It’s always the same; every Friday evening 10PM at the dingy bar near your apartment. He’d come over, you’d fuck, then he’d leave, simple as that.
No sweet words, no soft caresses, no loving gazes, just hard brutal fucking that left bruises on your skin for days long after.
It didn’t matter, you’ve always had a thing for powerful men or so you’d tell yourself...then why, why are you crying at the sight of him standing in your doorway with a bagel and coffee?
» send me a pairing/character & a word; i’ll slowly write a 5 sentence fic.

MISTLETOE
Pairing: FFXV! NYX ULRIC x GENDER NEUTRAL!READER
A/N: I always wanted to write something for Christmas. Failed many times. Maybe I could overcome my kind of trauma.
Words: 1.448
Warnings: none
Summary: Nyx isn't too fond of celebrating Christmas. You get that regarding his loss but you're also a big fan of the most wonderful time of the year so, you create something that reminds Nyx that he isn't alone, at all.
Kingsglaive. An honorable troup of adorable dorks who were fighting to keep other people safe. You were one who got kept safe by them. Being close friends with Nyx and the whole gang gave you support and love and everything you needed and wanted. The others felt the same as you. They could protect you. Watching out for you. You were there for them as everyone else had left.
At least, that was what Nyx saw in you. The closest he had left he could call family. In the beginning, he had been distant to you. Keeping you at an arm's length. To keep you safe and to keep himself safe from catching too many feelings just to lose you once again.
But you had been determined in your kind of treatment and slowly but surely, Nyx grew more fond of you than he ever wanted to admit. He saw himself as bad luck. Bringing death to his family and friends. And yet, you found a way into his heart. You were sweet, smart, beautiful... You had just one, big flaw: you loved Christmas.
You lived long enough with your friends to know how their reaction would be the moment the first Christmas light would get lit. So, as the calendar changed from November to December, you turned on all the lights you could find.
As the Glaives entered your bar, they all stopped, staring at the decoration and groaning at the same time while you approached them with the biggest smile on your lips you could even produce, "And? What do you say?"
"It's bright.", Pelna said, trying to sound diplomatic.
"It's... It's sweet.", Crowe said and shot you an apologetic smile.
"It's a bit too trashy for my liking.", he said, "But you did great.", Libertus said, trying to make up for the rudeness before.
Finally, your still sparkling eyes landed on Nyx. The last one of the group. He took a breath. You never were sore about their comments but Nyx knew how much this time of the year meant to you so, he tried his best to be a bit more polite, "You did a great job with the decoration. As always."
You raised a brow questioningly while you were smirking, "Liar. You also don't like it.", you said, leaning closer.
Nyx sighed, "It's not the decoration. It's what comes with it. This whole circus reminds us what we have lost. Our friends. Our family. Our homes.", he said softly.
You nodded, "I get that. Trust me. Don't forget that I also have lost everything before I came here."
Nyx' eyes grew big with shock as he realized that you were right. You cared so much about everyone around you that he and his friends totally forgot that you also just were a refugee. Just like them. You had left your home as Niflheim took over the control. Nyx was about to apologize, feeling bad about what he had said.
But you cut him off, "It's ok. I know you didn't mean it like that. This time of the year always gives me warmth. Even after I've lost so much. It still has the same effect. But maybe we could start seeing us as some kind of new family instead of just mourning the past.", you said softly, still with a smile on your lips as you left.
Nyx stared after you. His blood was running hot and cold. You could endure so much of their bullshit. You always accepted the worst jokes. You never complained about their bad mood. But Nyx was sure, one day, you would have enough and then they would lose you. He could lose you and that was the last thing he wanted. He just needed to find a way to show you how he felt for you. A different way than just words because obviously, he wasn't good at that.
**
By the time your planned Christmas party was around the corner, you even had decorated the Glaives HQ much to Drautos' dismay but he let you do. You even behaved yourself with the lights - not to stress the Captain's goodwill too much - just enough to illuminate the darker hallways and the common room. The windows were covered in fake snow where real snow slowly took over the corners from the outside.
At the evening of the Christmas party, everyone you had invited came into your bar. Quickly, the small room got filled with laughter, the smell of alcohol and warmth because all your friends had found their way to you as planned - enjoying some quality time together.
Nyx stood in a corner, watching you chatting with Cor and Drautos while he let his fingers drum on the table's surface.
"What's the matter, hero?", Crowe asked, slightly swaying from the egg nog she almost devoured cup after cup.
"Nothing.", Nyx answered, trying to ignore his friend.
"Yeah...no. I know this face you make. It's your 'something bothers me face'. So, what is it?", she asked with a grin as she saw that she was right.
"Really, it's nothing."
"Oh, if I have to guess, it's something with YN, right?"
"Could you please guess somewhere else? Thank you.", Nyx said more serious, looking Crowe straight in the eyes.
Crowe patted his shoulder, "As you wish. But you really should talk with them about the feelings you harbor for them."
But before Nyx could ask anything else, Crowe was gone. And he was alone again with his gnawing thoughts if he would do the right thing or not.
*
Around five in the morning, the bar emptied itself finally and you walked around, collecting glasses and bottles. You were tired but happy because the party had been successful even if it had been Christmas themed.
You placed a bunch of new collected glasses on the bar counter as someone stepped next to you, "Nyx? You're still here.", you stated surprised. Somehow, you had expected him to be gone already.
"Yeah, I would never leave without saying good night to you.", he said softly, showing you a gentle smile as your own lips curled up. Some colorful fairy lights were illuminating your eyes in a magical way and Nyx knew the time was perfect. He stepped forward, getting closer to you and had your whole attention. It was the best feeling he could ask for as he saw your eyes fixated just on him. Slowly, Nyx looked up, "Oh, look what we have here.", he said, eyes directed at the lamp above the counter.
You followed his glance with a frown, "What do you mean- hey! I didn't put it up there.", you said. You liked mistletoes but you had avoided decorating them so no one was kinda forced to follow the tradition to kiss someone just by standing underneath it.
Nyx watched your surprised expression and smiled, "No. I did."
"You? But why?", you asked surprised, big eyes and a frown displayed on your face.
Nyx scratched the back of his neck. Now, there was no turning back, "You know, there's something I wanna tell you. But I think words aren't really enough, tho. The mistletoe gives me the opportunity to do this.", he said with a shy smile before he leant in, cupping your chin between thumb and index finger to kiss you gently.
You still swooned as Nyx leant away from you a few moments later. As you opened your eyes, you saw his blue eyes sparkling, "Why do you stop?", you whispered, missing his warm, perfect lips already.
"Well, I also wanted to say that this is the best Christmas for ages. Thanks to you.", Nyx whispered, leaning against your forehead with his own.
"Maybe it's just a Christmas Wonder.", you whispered with a soft smile and your heart racing in your chest.
Nyx pulled you closer, relaxed about the fact that you seemed to want him as well, "Maybe. But maybe you're just the wonder I fell in love with after all the time I have known you.", he breathed and waited for your reaction.
"Y-you do- what?", you asked startled, looking at the Ghaladian man in front of you but instead of saying something else, Nyx just cupped your face with one hand, chuckled softly and kissed you once again.
You leant stronger against him, searching hold in his clothes, pulling him closer before you snaked your arms around his neck to deepen the kiss even more. While inside the bar the situation became a bit more intimate, the first snow of the year fell silently in Insomnia, covering the city in a white coat.
Maybe, it was, in fact, just one of these Christmas wonders.

May I possibly ask for a Glauca kidnapping his s/o as a distraction, they’re apart of the royal family or a top glaive -someone important-. Maybe he’s having a hard time doing it.
Hello there anonie! Of course, you can! :)
--
Titus aka Glauca has got a very simple mission: kidnapp glaive Y/N Y/S, who where per chance HIS s/o. (But nobody knew that, obvi)
You, as Sigil bearer of Yore, possesed great danger to the Niflheim, because your sigils were boosting power of the Kingsglaive ( even though the sigils were "borrowed" from the old rulers. And you were the unfortunate soul, who was chosen "There are other plans with your fellow "comrades" the old rulers said)
even Verstael showed interest in you, thats what urged this mission (your powers could benefit his godly plan greatly and make their daemons even stronger)
I would be honest ... if you´re really important to him then he would be so conflicted in completing this mission and would try to somehow twist it in his favour.
Glauca/Titus is man of his words. He´s a double agent for Six´s sake, he better be good. He will devise plan in which he would kidnap you.
PLOT TWIST! He would fake your death, so not only Lucis lost valuable asset, but also Niflheim would be screwed. Verstael was in particular pissed, that he lost such interesting lab rat.
Meanwhile you, would be probably locked in Titus huge af mansion that was somewhere on Niflheim´s border.
YOU will be treated like a fucking royalty. He has two or three very loyal people, who takes care of this house. They would told you, that their master saved you and that you´re treated as their guest.
Just a .... when you find out that Titus is Glauca and viceversa .... oh boy, Titus is not prepared for that storm.

Synopsis: Your father was the king of Insomnia. He was good and just. You never thought you’d meet anyone like him after he was taken from the world. Your Uncle Regis, has taken the throne and followed through on your father’s plans. It was good to see the city in capable hands.
Enter Nyx Ulric, refugee, Glaive, fighter…how is it he can see all your secrets? He knows how to set you off and he’s promised to not let you go…(AU for sure, Regis wasn’t supposed to take the throne, and our lovely Nyx has more of a past then we thought…)
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five Part Six Part Seven Part Eight Part Nine Part Ten
**NOTE** For optimal reading pleasure…Listen to this! in the background when you see (*) in the story
You chewed on your nails looking over the proposal. Your eyes scanned over everything several times make sure it was worded correctly, “Chewing your nails while working on something shows that you’re not confident in your work.”
You scowled dropping your hand to the table turning to Ignis, who smiled at you holding a book in his hand, “I’m not unconfident, I know it’s good…I’m nervous.”
“I have never known you to be nervous. What are you working on, if I may ask?” He stepped up to the table looking over your shoulder.
You looked back at the thick document, “It’s…my father’s work actually. I’m trying to get the resources for the refugee wards. The conditions down there are not adequate.”
“I remember this. It was one of the last projects your father asked me help with.” Ignis smiled a little taking a seat next to you, “If you like I can take a look at it.”
“Would you!?” You smiled at him feeling relief spread through your chest, “I’m just concerned with the war effort that they’ll say no to the expansion. It’s going to require a lot of building materials…I’ve made a new case…it’s the blue sticky note. It follows my father’s points for majority…”
He nodded pulling the proposal in front of him glancing at you as he pulled out a pen, “Do you mind?”
“Please.” You waved your hand toward it, “Be my guest.”
He began flipping through it making delicate notes in the margins periodically, “I’m surprised to see you here alone without your shadow.”
“You’re referring to Nyx?” He nodded again scratching something out. He hadn’t even made it to your amendments yet, “He had some time off, and won’t be back for a couple of days. A use it or lose it situation…and I was assigned your everyday guard who promptly at 5pm scampers off. If I have another shadow, I’m not aware of it and I don’t mind it. These past couple evenings have been nice on my own.”
Ignis chuckled turning the page, “You never really needed one. You were always about creating policies, and when you did go out you were the one arranging most of it.”
“And here we are sitting in the library like old times.” You chuckled a little, “I do miss it, but from what I understand you are busy attending all of Noct’s meetings.”
He let out a sigh looking at you, “You were so good about being present…in his defense though, he his finishing school where he started. You were here the entire time, with your own schedule.”
“He is lucky in that regard.” You sighed looking at your fingers, your nails looked dreadful now, “His people will know him from the beginning.”
“You people knew you.” Ignis frowned a little setting the pen down taking your hands in his making you look at him, “Your people loved you. They still love you…”
“Yes…they did…” You smiled sadly taking in a deep breath before letting it out, “But they’re not my people any more…I’m just a…well I don’t really know, but I’m not their princess anymore.”
“You will always be their princess…as you will always be my princess.” Ignis lifted your hand kissing the top of it.
Something inside of you swelled as he gave you a small smile before turning back to the proposal. Ignis had always been the one the give you good council. After the trials, he had been the one to call on you, being the only one not assigned right away. He kept you from losing it completely and never expected anything from it.
You leaned forward making the chair creek as you wrapped your arms around him tightly. You felt him tense under your grasp, “Oh…whatever did I do to deserve this?”
You kept ahold of him as you spoke feeling your eyes water, “Thank you, Ignis. I never said before…but thank you for being there, and for still being here.”
His one arm circled around you briefly before you pulled away. He stared at you for a moment before he spoke, “There was never any need to thank me…but I appreciate the gesture. It means a lot.”
You sniffed wiping a hand over your face nodding as he went back to work, “If I’m keeping you from something…”
“Not at all…” He glanced at you as he crossed another line out, “I was merely spending some time here reading. Tell me, what prompted the sudden revival of your father’s proposal? Was it your little escapade a couple months ago?”
You sat up thinking back to a couple days before when you came home from the trip with Nyx. Everything had gotten very serious…very quickly… Then you were invited back to the Hearth where everyone raised a glass to your father. Good food was made, dishes you’d never experienced before with such color and spice. Throughout it all…they smiled. He smiled…and it made your heart flutter thinking about it…
Nyx walked next to you through the training ground halls. They were connected to the garage and he wanted to make sure you found your way back. You could feel his eyes looking you over, “Y/N…I…”
“I had a great time today…despite everything.” You turned to him cutting him off, “You were right. I don’t regret it and I’m glad to have experienced it.”
He stopped looking down into your eyes before he nodded, “I’m glad to hear that. I hope it’s not the last time we can do something like that.”
“I’d like that…” You looked away from him, “I think I can manage it from here, you should go home. Enjoy the rest of your week.”
“Tch…doing what? My life is my job right now.” He smirked a little take a step with you before his face fell a little, “Y/N…I feel like…”
“Stop…please…” You stood in front of him giving him a forced smile, “Today was perfect…let’s let it end that way.”
You told him goodnight leaving him in the dark hallway. You held your breath waiting for something to happen, but it never did. You didn’t know what you were expecting…were you expecting anything? No, but you wanted something to happen. You let out a heavy sigh stepping out into the hall leading to the royal living quarters.
“Y/N?” You stopped looking up seeing your uncle stepping out into the hall, “You’re finally back.”
You looked surprised as he stood there looking you over. He looked relaxed for once, sleeves rolled up, vest only buttoned once, and collar undone. Despite all that…he looked tired as he asked you a question, “Did you have fun?”
You blinked a few times before you nodded, “I did…thank you for asking.”
He smiled at you nodding a little, “Good…goodnight…”
As he turned from you, you felt your heart quicken as you stepped forward, “Uncle Regi…”
He turned back eyes wide with surprise as he smiled at you letting out a soft chuckle, “You haven’t called me that in a long time.”
You smiled a little crossing your arms over your chest, “It’s been a while since I felt…like me…I guess.”
He watched your carefully understanding filling his eyes, “You have been through so much, it’s only natural to feel different.”
You looked down to the ground nodding standing in front of him. For once you didn’t feel like he was putting you on the spot and you felt the patience he would give Noctis, “I saw dad today…”
“You did?” His voice was soft as he spoke, “How is he?”
You looked up at him seeing a tenderness in his eyes as you teared up, “…he’s good…I think a little sad…”
He took a step toward you tilting his head a little, “Sad? How so?”
“That I’ve been so quiet for so long…” You felt a tear fall down your cheek, “That I’ve just sat by and watched everything…”
“Oh…” He took the final step forward embracing you tightly, “Y/N…no…no he wouldn’t be sad. He would be proud of you. It takes a bigger person to say you’re not ready for something. To realize you need to heal.”
He pulled away wiping your tears away shaking his head as he went on with a smile, “You’re exactly where you need to be and when you’re ready…we will have a place for you.”
“That isn’t what you said before.” You frowned seeing how your words hurt him, “You said…I needed…”
He looked away ashamed shutting his eyes as he took his hands away from you, “I know what I said…I was wrong to say it. I was wrong…a lot that day…If you haven’t figured it out yet, I don’t know what I’m doing. I wasn’t supposed to be king.”
You stared at him taking in a deep breath. No, he wasn’t meant for this, but he was doing it. You were meant to be there in his place, and he was supposed to be supporting you. Not the other way around.
You reached out taking his hand in yours, “…then let me help.”
“I have recently taken on some responsibility, but I made my uncle promise to give me some time on the council. So we compromised…” You smiled a little watching your friend make more notes, “To make the motion I have to allocate the resources without putting a huge dent in the war budget. Only then would he support me and see that it happened. So yes, I guess it was my little adventure.”
He stopped a looked at you a very serious look in his eyes, “…when is this on the docket?”
“Day after tomorrow, why?” You watched him take his glasses off, “Ignis, it can’t be that bad…”
“No, not entirely.” He looked at you as he began to roll up his sleeves, “But we do have a lot of work cut out for us if we want these numbers to be acceptable.”
A lot of work and barely any sleep you managed to do it with Ignis’ help. You looked at yourself in the mirror adding another bobby pin to keep your hair up before taking a step back. Jumpsuits were not your favorite thing in the world, but you were trying to impress everyone and this blue one didn’t look like a ball gown.
You took a deep breath in and let it out grabbing a large stack of booklets, your proposal, and turned for the door. You stopped with your arms full. You hummed staring at it for a moment before kicking the door with your high heel, “Nyx? Are you there?”
“…uh…” You heard him on the other side, “Yes ma’am?”
“Can you open the door for me? I’m in a bit of a bind and can’t do it myself.” You stood there adjusting the booklets as they started to slip, “Nyx?”
“Sorry, I was deciding if this was a trap or not…” You rolled your eyes practically seeing his smirk as you heard the click of the handle. He opened the door eyes widening as you struggled to hold everything, “Damn, you weren’t joking…”
“Nope…” You smiled as he stepped over to you taking a majority of the stack from you, “Thank you.”
“What is all this?” He asked following you out pulling the door shut with his heel.
“Uh…it’s a proposal for the council.” You glanced at him as he looked down at the title ‘Expansion of the Refugee Ward.’
“Y/N…” He slowed down a little bit, “I don’t understand…”
“Well you’re about to get a very long earful of it.” You told him turning down the hall to the council room.
“Wait…” He hissed at you getting you to stop, “What is in this proposal?”
It was the first time you saw worry in his eyes. The first time saw a defensiveness, “Nyx, there’s nothing to worry about, I promise.”
“Y/N…” His eyes narrowed as he took a step forward, “If this is about what happened at…”
“It’s not.” You put your hand on his arm smiling, “This is what your residence here should have been when you first arrived. It’s been on my mind a lot since you took me to the Hearth the first time. I’ve seen your community, your homes…it’s not right. You shouldn’t be living out shipping containers. I’m going to fix it, let me…”
“But…” He looked at you surprised when you placed your fingers on his lips making him stop.
“I cannot be late for this. I promise we will talk about it later.” You moved your hand starting down the hall again. You held your breath until you heard his footsteps fall in behind you. You relaxed a little hoping you hadn’t lost his trust entirely as you entered the council room.
Everyone looked over as you entered, all were surprised. You strode forward your heel’s clack echoing against the walls. One of the councilmembers stood up, “Lady Caelum…to what do we owe this unusual visit?”
“I invited her.” Everyone looked to the back door seeing Regis walk inside holding the booklet you gave him the day before. You watched everyone stand to their feet, “She made a case to me the other day, I told her if she could find the means to present a solution…I would support her. If you look at the agenda she’s clearly on there.”
“Uh…your majesty…there were some changes…” You took a breath looking down as they spoke. You had expressed to him that this might happen, and you wondered if he would hold up his end, “Our discussion on the war is…”
“Can wait.” Regis interrupted them looking to you as he took his seat placing a hand on your proposal, “It was brought to my attention that our guest, the Galahdian refugees, are not being housed properly and as they make up forty percent of our current forces…well it’s imperative that we attempt to fix the problem. Y/N has taken the time to prepare a solution.”
You turned back to Nyx taking the stack from him so he could take his place with the other guards. You made eye brief contact with him and you could see the stress and worry. He looked caged and frightened as his eyes darted around. Instinctively you reached out grazing his wrist with your fingers.
He looked to you and you give him a firm nod which seemed to help a little before you turned back to everyone, “If you can please take one and pass them down, we can begin. I assure you that this solution will be cost effective and raise morale. I hope it will bring out city together with our new friends as well.”
Grueling…that was the word you would describe the last three hours you went over everything. They argued with you, demanded changes, but you stood your ground insisting if the agreement wasn’t followed through on the Citadel’s end then there was no point to it at all. In the end it was a split vote, which meant it fell to the king to make the final decision. You held your breath as he flipped through the pages in those last moments before he looked up and smiled.
You stepped out into the hall after being excused letting out deep breath leaning up against the wall, “Six…that was hell…”
You glanced back at Nyx who stood behind you. He had a look about him that you couldn’t read. He was rigid as you stood up straight stepping toward him, “Nyx…”
He looked at you when you said his name as if snapping out of a deep thought, “Yes?”
“Are you alright?” You took a step toward him concern evident over your features.
“Of course.” He shook his head scratching the back of his head before smirking, “Why wouldn’t I be?”
“I don’t know…that’s why I’m asking.” You felt your cheek pull up as your hands folded behind your back.
He stared at you before he licked lips preparing to speak. The door opened and he took a small step back. You both looked over seeing Drautos who was giving your both a smile. He seemed rather happy, “Your Ladyship…I’m glad to see you didn’t get too far.”
“Captain, is something the matter?” You stared up at him as he stopped before you.
“On the contrary, I believe everything is fine.” You watched him as he produced a small envelope, “The king wished me to deliver this to you and to tell you that you did well. He’s excited to see what else you bring forward in the future.”
You took it from him as he turned to Nyx giving him a nod before disappearing back into the council chamber. Nyx looked toward the door before stepping close to you, “A gift from his majesty…will wonders never cease…”
“We only have one way to find out…” You slid your finger under the lip looking at him with a smile. You pulled out a small note hearing something fall to the ground, “Oh…”
“I got it.” He held up his hand crouching down as you began to read.
“A green key, for your green thumb. Let no one stop you from growing…” You stared at the letter as it went on. Your face fell a little as you read it.
Nyx looked at the key in his hands, “I don’t think this is going to fit that padlock…”
You looked over at the ornate green key he held out to you. You took it feeling the weight in your hand, “No…it’s for the door itself…”
“Does he think one successful council meeting and a key is going to make things better between the two of you?” Nyx put his hands on his hips.
“It’s from my father…” You told him holding the note out to him, “I think he left it before he went to Lestallum…”
Nyx took the note as you turned from starting the down the hall. He followed as he read:
My little bud,
A green key, for your green thumb. Let no one stop you from growing. You're hurt right now and I only wrote this because I have to go away, and I didn’t want you to wake up and be afraid. We will only be gone for a little while so don’t wait up too long.
Rest well my dear,
Your extremely proud father.
He tried keeping up with you, but you managed to lose him just enough as he read the letter. He skidded around the corner just in time to see you insert the key and open the door to the greenhouse. The sight of the sun hitting your skin was a sight to behold.
He smiled a little as he stepped inside seeing you looking around at everything. Two months was a long time. Everything was overgrown, some of it dying, but it didn’t seem to upset you, “Looks like we got some work cut out for us…”
You turned to him smiling, it was a good sight to see, “Indeed, I can finally see if you were paying attention.”
He held out the letter to you, “Is there a reason why you’d get a special key for here?”
“It’s the family garden, my father didn’t want anyone but us to come in. He would lock it when we left. It would drive me crazy at times because he was the only one with a key and I couldn’t just interrupt him during his day to ask for it…” You took the letter back before hugging yourself frowning a little, “He apparently didn’t think to lock it when he left for Lestallum…”
Nyx nodded a little giving you the moment to grieve before he began unbuttoning his jacket, “So where do we start?”
He practically laughed when your eyes widened, “Well I…I’m not exactly dressed for gardening.”
“Somehow I don’t think that would stop you.” He smiled stepping past you to hang up his coat on the shed grabbing your apron, “You look better with grass stains anyways.”
He held the apron out to you waving it a little as if trying to entice you. You let out a small snort before swiping it from him, “Don’t think I haven’t forgotten about what we were talking about.”
He groaned a little shaking his head as he opened the shed for you, “I’m fine, really…”
“You are now, yes.” You stepped over grabbing the tools you’d need before looking at him, “Are you upset that I didn’t discuss the proposal with you?”
He looked at you quickly shaking his head, “No, it’s…I mean it would have been nice to have some warning sure, but it wasn’t that…I’m grateful for the help.”
“You’re sure?” He nodded and smiled as he saw relief spread through your face.
“It was…the setting.” He turned carrying the small gardener box you prepared hanging his head a little, “I’ve never really been good in meetings…that’s why I didn’t make a great prince. I’d always find a way to get out of it or escape.”
“Fear of speeches or fear of responsibility?” You tilted your head a little continue to walk toward the back of the garden.
“I didn’t mind the work.” He shook his head smiling a little, “I did a lot with my mother and enjoyed it, but I…I fear presenting myself to people and sounding like a fool.”
“I understand that. That’s how I feel about people in general. I can handle a room full of old thinking council members,” You took in a deep breath, “But put me in a room with my peers and…I don’t know it’s like I forget everything…”
“You do alright.” He set the box down when you stopped pulling off your heels, “Everyone really likes you from my group at least.”
“You all make it very easy. Most of you at least.” You smirked, “Crowe seems a bit prickly…”
“She’s protective of me…doesn’t want to see me get hurt.” He chuckled a little bending down starting to pull some weeds that had popped up, “I wish I had the confidence you did…maybe we wouldn’t have had to leave Galahd then.”
He looked at you when he felt your hand on his arm. Your face was full of sorrow as you shook your head, “You can’t think like that. It doesn’t help anyone, most of all you.”
“You make it sound so easy.” He sat back on his heels letting his hands rest in his lap.
“It’s not.” Your hand trailed down his arm to his hands giving them a squeeze. Your eyes were full of compassion, “And you do have the confidence…”
“I’m cocky…I don’t know about confident.” Nyx watched you turn to the plants picking off dead parts.
“…it takes a lot of confidence so say what you did the other day…” You spoke softly as you picked up the petals setting them off to the side.
His face flushed a little as he swallowed nodding some as he started pulling weeds again, “…that’s not making promises to thousands though…”
“So, it’s…” You trailed off for a moment before picking it back up, “it’s easy for you to promise yourself to one…but not to the majority…”
He looked at you seeing your cheeks flushed as you continued working on the plants, “It’s easy to make promises I know I’ll be able to keep.”
You looked at him shaking your head getting frustrated, “You can’t know that you’ll be there…”
“I will be.” He stared into your eyes desperate for you to feel what he was feeling in that moment. He’d made an eternal promise to you, one that was reserved for generals and marriages. He saw a future in your eyes that he desperately wanted to attain and to feel.
“Nyx…” Your brow came together as your eyes shut, “I won’t hold you to it…it’s okay…we were in a life or death situation and then my emotions were high and so were yours…”
He loved it when you looked surprised, so when his hands took your face gently and your eyes sprung open you looked perfect as he spoke with clarity, “I will be.”
You stared into his eyes as his forehead finally rested against yours, “What does it even mean? To swear yourself to someone like that…I know it cannot be a plain promise…”
“It means…exactly…” He whispered as his nose nudged yours his breath tickling your lips, “what you think it does…”
Your lips were soft under his. It was stupid thing to do, but he wasn’t known for being smart. He expected you to pull away or to slap him…but your hands found a gentle resting place on his shoulders. Sensing no reason to stop he let one of his hands slip gently behind your neck, while the other moved down to your side.
It was enough change that the kiss deepened for a moment. Soft moans escaped both of you hungry for the attention. That seemed to be the moment that it came to a halt.
You pushed away from him hand coming to rest over your lips while the other rested on his chest, “Nyx…”
His hands slowly moved away from you as he shook his head, “I’m…”
“I’m sorry…” You looked away from him flustered, “I shouldn’t have done that…”
“Wha…no I…uh…” He rambled for a moment, “I’m the…one…why are we apologizing?”
You looked at him stunned before you stood up speaking softly as you began to walk away, “Nyx…you’re a king…and you cannot just swear yourself to someone…it has to be the other way around…I’m sorry…”
He stood up following you confused, “What does it matter if it’s true?”
“We barely know one another…” You spoke over your shoulder, “Broad stories…that’s all…I like gardening…you like beer…we both lost our families…that’s all we know…”
“I like that you’re a kind person who cares for people.” He moved quickly cutting you off making you stop, “What you did for my people today told me volumes about your character. While everyone else in the room was agreeing that it was a good move to appease troops, you were concerned about the children and their families and where they would sleep…You have a beautiful heart.”
“So, one more thing you know…” You shook your head, “Doesn’t stop that you are above me…”
“That doesn’t matter to us…my father was the royal, my mother was a baker’s daughter and after he passed, she remained queen.” Nyx smiled a little shaking his head, “I like you…and nothing may come of any of this…but my promise to stand by your side and see your goals come to pass will always be a true statement…I am yours.”
“Stop it.” You hissed at him pulling him behind a bush as you saw people walking outside the door, “You can’t keep saying that…”
He stared into yours eyes watching them chase every thought, trying find a way to run away from this, “No…this isn’t about rank…or knowing one another…this is you scared…”
Your eyes flashed like lightening up to his gaze. He could tell you were mad that he called you out, “What do I have to be scared of?”
“…losing me.” It all made sense now. You kept everyone except for Noctis and Regis at arm’s length and even them you distanced yourself, waiting for them to abandon you in some way, “In the van…when Libe mentioned the detail and I mentioned that things could change…you didn’t like the idea of losing me…”
“Don’t be…” You shook your head as you began to step away, “ridiculous.”
His hand reached out taking yours gently getting you to stop, “Prove it.”
You huffed glaring daggers at him, “And how will I do that?”
He smirked a little pulling you back towards him feeling satisfied that you didn’t put up a fight, “Let me kiss you again…then let me walk away…”
“That’s it…you think I won’t let you walk away? Nyx this isn’t a game…” You frowned shaking your head.
“I’m not playing…you let me walk away with no indication that you want more…I will let it go and simply be your guard.” His hand reached up brushing a small piece of your hair away from your face, “…but if I can make you believe that I will never leave you from a kiss…isn’t that something to hang on to?”
You scowled a little before you spoke, “Fine…but don’t be angry at me when you’re wrong…”
(*) “I have a good feeling about this…” His eyes twinkled a little as the backs of his fingers gently caressed your cheek. He watched as the simple touch made you blush as you licked your lips staring up into his eyes.
He didn’t want to rush this. He wanted to show you what he meant about being there for you. He stepped forward letting one hand rest on your hip anchoring you to him letting the world fade away. His face came within a breaths distance away from your face slowly working his way around every inch of it as if he was creating and orbit. The warmth of his proximity overtook you and when he began to see your chest rising up and down with heavy breaths of anticipation, he knew he was going in the right direction.
His other hand slithered up your neck as your eyes closed, his thumb cresting over your chin gently finding your lips. They were warm to his touch and parted softly as he felt a small tremble move through you. A small smile appeared on his face when you leaned into his hand after it cup your cheek.
When his forehead came to rest on yours, your eyes opened showing him how dilated they were from the stimulation. If nothing else…you couldn’t deny the fact that there was something between the two of you. His nose gently bumped yours as he let out a warm sigh against your lips. Your heart was beating wildly against his pinky that rested just under your jaw.
As you swayed his hand on your hip moved around drawing you closer to him as his lips pressed against yours. Instead of tensing like he expected you seem to relax into him allowing him to deepen his kiss briefly.
A soft sigh came from you as he felt you adjust yourself stepping closer to him as he began to pull away. Your hands gently moved to grasping his shirt like a lifeline as you looked into his eyes tearing up, “Nyx…”
He cupped your face with both hands kissing you lightly one more time before he whispered, “I’m not going anywhere.”
He wrapped his arms around you tightly as you began to shake. You had become vulnerable around him and he needed to make sure that you knew it was okay to be. He knew that would take time and he was willing to wait with you…but you knew how he felt now…
…and you didn’t reject him…

003. stubborn | titus drautos x fem!reader |
In which Titus meets his match. Alternatively, Titus Tries to be a Good Boyfriend™.
Word Count: 414
This is it. This is how he dies.
Not on the battlefield as General Glauca nor in prison as Drautos the Traitor. No, instead, Titus Drautos, captain of the Kingsglaive, commander of the Niflheim army, is going to perish in—of all things—a bloody Bath and Body Works.
You are a gale of energy, bustling frenetically between shelves, sampling endless hand soaps and candles and body sprays, either curling your nose in distaste or perking up like a gopher when you hit the jackpot. Meanwhile, he is left standing helplessly by your side. The vibrancy of the store is disorienting and he can hardly discern lavender from chamomile. Every now and then, you push some product or another in his face (“What do you think of this?” you ask) only to pull it away before Titus even registers the question. Sometimes he is unfortunate—like when you lather his hand generously with a mystery lotion (“Peppermint and apple cider,” you explain; Titus calls it Christmas on Cocaine).
Waves of eucalyptus, vanilla, and bergamot assault him from every which way. To think that a mere fragrance store has accomplished what hundreds of soldiers could not. Titus is fairly sure his pride and olfactory system alike have suffered a great loss today.
You approach him, yet another candle in hand, and Titus sorely wishes to die. But he voices none of this. Because that’s not what supportive boyfriends do.
“Okay, okay," you chirp and Titus reluctantly takes a sniff, “smell this one, it’s citrus and rose!”
“It’s strong,” he says helplessly. And then he sneezes four times in rapid succession. Startled, you hop back, eyes wide.
“Ah, Titus! Are you okay? Do you need to step outside?”
“No,” he says through gritted teeth, even as every microfiber of his soul screams YES, “I am fine.”
You look skeptical, and Titus senses that you’re about to usher him out the store without buying any of the things you’d been eyeing. The most stubborn part of himself (the only part not decimated by fragrances) refuses to put an early end to your shopping trip. Blindly, he reaches out to grab something from the shelf—a scented plug-in—and places it in your hands.
“Oh look it’s in the shape of a penguin!”
Crisis averted, you are now sufficiently distracted and Titus recedes back to his stoic self. Satisfied, he glares at another bottle of body spray before taking his spot at your side, ever the Good Boyfriend™.

#17 “If we both stick to the story, they can’t prove anything.” Nyx x Reader or Glaive-trio. For inspo: a) reader and Nyx shenanigans on a mission, do something they're not supposed to and arrested by altissan police/gaurds; b) glaive trio does some stupid drunk shit (drinking games? dares?), gets caught by drautos oops!
Nyx x Reader - True Story
Okay this is going to be so out of character, but at least I had a good laugh while I wrote this. Hopefully it pleases! *evil cackling*
Apologies for not using the inspos you gave me, I uhh…. forgot you had those and wrote the drabble already. *bows in shame*
I asked for prompts in discord to wreck the boredom I was in.
This is also SFW and a crack fic. Also completely random. But it’s cool. I think.
You thought you had seen something. Something familiar. A flash of blue eyes shamelessly seeking for yours in the crowded briefing room.
So he was up to no good after all.
Just a few minutes before Drautos had called all the glaives for a meeting, Nyx had pulled you behind a corner and after making sure no one was listening, he had told you: “If we both stick to the story, they can’t prove anything.”
Nyx had come up with a perfect plan to infuriate Luche, who had been so upfront with his intentions to sleep with you. Obviously his attempts to seduce lacked finesse and Nyx nearly died from laughter when he had heard it from you.
But you could catch a hint of jealousy in his words, when he had explained his devious plan to put some chocobo poop into Luche’s locker.
You had laughed at his “prank” as there was no way in Ifrit’s fiery rear that he would do it. But as you saw him across the briefing room, his amused smirk didn’t leave any doubts about his schemes. Fortunately Drautos didn’t notice the mischievous glances you got from the other side of the room.
After the briefing was over, Luche had a short talk with a handful of glaives — you included. You couldn’t help the small snorts escaping your throat every time he looked at you and you could feel Nyx musing in some corner with Libertus and Crowe.
Never had you heard anything so annoyed, frustrated, pissed off, agitated, furious as you did after Luche went to grab something from a locker room.
Nyx moved to your side, the most bright beam on his face when he turned to face you. “Remember, no slips from the story?”
“Well, if you want me to stick to it — we’d better go and make it true as well,” you giggled.
Nyx eyed you, weighing the options. “I’m sure no one will go to the armory for the next hour…”
“Meet me there in five,” you giggled and batted your lashes with a seductive smile on your lips. Luche’s enraged roar still echoing from the locker room.

The sounds of chains rattling as you thrashed about were drowned out by your screams.
"Fuck you! You killed him, you traitor! The king you swore to protect!"
Titus paced in front of you, staying silent as you berated him with words of pure hatred. His expression reminded unchanging despite your tone of voice. When you finished your tirade, your captain turned to face you.
"I did what I had to do in order to move things along." Drautos moved closer to you until he was mere centimeters away from your face. The pure animalistic growl that left your lips made him smirk. "And now that there is no king, there is no glaive." Titus leaned in closer to speak directly in your ear. "But you will refer to me as general." Stepping back, he seemed to peer down at you from his new position.
"Do I make myself clear, y/n?"
