Thank you everyone for your patience! You can find a playlist of the accepted submissions here. In total, there are 1080. (Some of them are missing from the playlist but I don't know. which ones 😭 If you can't find one of your submissions please let me know, & otherwise I'll try to catch the missing ones when I'm adding videos to polls.)

Couple notes:

The video linked by the submitter for the Prelude theme from Final Fantasy is from an orchestral performance, not the games, so I'm using a different video for it. I just went for the one from the Final Fantasy soundtrack, but if the submitter would prefer a different instance of the theme, please let me know!

Break: Primrose, the Dancer from Octopath Traveler is a piano arrangement that doesn't seem to appear in-game, so it wasn't accepted (but Primrose, the Dancer was also submitted and was accepted).

The rest of the submissions I didn't accept were all pre-existing tracks or covers/remixes of them: Termination Shock from Just Shapes & Beats, Isolated from Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Get It Together from Little Big Planet, Nuclear from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Focus from Super Hexagon, Sans Toi from Helix Waltz, Moon River (∞ Climax Mix) from Bayonetta 2, and Title3, Title1/Flip-Flap, & THUNDERDOME (Sector11) from Space Station 13.

There were a couple more that I wasn't going to accept, specifically video game tracks remixed in other games (as in, from unrelated series), but then I remembered Most of the submitted tracks from Super Smash Bros and kind of threw my hands up. So I'm bending my rules to allow those for consistency's sake. To be honest, if I ever do a season 2 of this, I'd probably just do away with the 'no pre-existing tracks' rule entirely but that would obviously be a while from now so. Focusing on getting through season 1 for now!

Flask-SqlAlchemy Adjacency List Relationship backfref unexpected error

I am working on a small project where I am using Flask-SqlAlchemy to implement an adjacency list relationship. I have a model (table) which has an attribute for db.Relationship() which references the parent_id column of the same table.

Here is the following code (partial):

class Node(db.Model): id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key = True) title = db.Column(db.String(80)) folder_id = db.Column(db.Integer, db.ForeignKey('node.id')) children = db.relationship('Node', backref = 'parent', remote_side=[id])

When I try to add a child folder to a parent folder using the backref attribute on the child in the Python Shell such as the following code(partial) :

parentNode = Node('title1')db.session.add(parent)db.session.commit()childNode = Node('title2')child.parent = parentNode

However, I get the following erros after I try that in the Python shell:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>TypeError: Incompatible collection type: Node is not list-like

I have read the SqlAlchemy docs to figure out a solution and they have similar syntax for adjacency list relationships. It has a similar example but does not show how one can add a parent node to a child node like I was trying in the shell. The reason for adding the parent node into the child's backref property is that it works with one-to-many relationships. Any help in finding the problem with the code would be greatly appreciated... Please feel free to suggest alternate solutions.

Welcome to the ER Fandom! :)

Considering ER's final episode aired 2nd April 2009 and Ao3 was created on 14th November 2009, it's not surprising it's missing a lot of the OG fanfic (though plenty of it has been posted to Ao3).

I do highly recommend lots of the ER fics on Ao3, though I do agree there is something oh so delicious about reading the fics written before much of canon existed. Fortunately for you, I did a deep dive into all the old fandom/fanfic specific websites for ER when I joined the fandom, so hope you can enjoy some of these sites that were the hubs of ER fic during it's run. Some are massive archives, others are smaller archives or personal sites.

Got to stuff my car today with 10 bookbags filled with school supplies for a local middle School. They are a title 1 school and have a Blessings program that helps homeless and at need children attending. This particular lot is going to the 8th grade children who will be headed to high school next year. I organized this with other Hilton Garden Inn hotels and @intuitiveentertainment in the area for donations. We were also able to give out gift cards so the kids could buy shoes or clothes for their 8th grade dance and graduation. If I could do this for a living I would be so happy. Year Three.

(August 2, Friday) I’m wrapping up my first week back at work after a month of summer break, and somehow I think this is the best week of teaching I have done in my own classroom. 

I spent an hour the Saturday before planning and visualizing (new habit I’m trying out). I made a promise to myself and God that this would be the year of Good Attitude. 

When I got to school Monday morning, office told us there were no materials. No paper, no pencils, no chrome books (all which were told would be provided). Quick panic then focused on adaptability and flexibility. Year of Good Attitude of a shaky start. 

But this week, with these 4 classes of 6th graders have reminded me why I am willing to try again this year at teaching. They are cute, curious, expectant, shy, and silly. They are His precious kids that I get the honoring of helping to shape and equip and empower. A night and day difference from my last years students, but maybe a night and day difference in my last year’s perspective.

I implemented the critical reading and focused note-taking strategies I learned in AVID last week. I also made sure to use tons of speaking and listening strategies: partner talk, group talking chips, getting up and moving around, group high fives, writing quick notes with sentence frames before sharing. I made slides for everything. Each day I started with a different fun warm up. We did the animal name game, two truths and lie, listen and draw, roll the dice questions, and connect the dots. The students were curious as to what we will start with every day. 

It was a joy. 

Next week is PD, and the week after that is the starting line to a 180 marathon to sharper skills, maturity, better confidence, and critical thinking. This year I have a lot of hope for what it will look like to cross the finish line.
