Comparing the 2020 Nissan Titan Vs 2020 Nissan Titan XD
Tumblr media
If you're looking for a full-size truck, you'll find the Nissan Titan to tick all the boxes. However, with two different options to choose from, many buyers in the Alvin, TX area may be wondering which of the two pickup trucks is better for their needs. As with most large trucks, there is a clear difference between the half-ton and the heavy-duty versions. That's why we made a direct comparison between the 2020 Nissan Titan and the 2020 Nissan Titan XD.
The 2020 Nissan Titan and Nissan Titan XD share more than their names. They have similar designs, are equipped with matching interior options, and are powered by identical powertrains. However, taking a closer look at their specs, we can see how the two mixes are different. Read on to discover if you want Titan or Titan XD.
What’s Precisely the Same?
The two Titans share much more than insignia, names, and general designs. Under the hoods of the 2020 Titan and 2020 Titan XD is Nissan's 5.6-liter Endurance V-8 engine. It produces 400 hp and 413 lb-ft torque over the 2019 model, increasing 10 hp and 19 lb-ft. It also shares a standard 9-speed automatic transmission. The 5.0-liter V-8, previously available on the 2020 Nissan Titan XD diesel has been discontinued on the 2020 model.
In Titan XD the bed is longer, but the interior is the same size as the 2020 Nissan Titan crew cab. It has the same seating configuration for five passengers and the same head, knee, leg, and shoulder dimensions. Both trucks feature an improved 9-inch Apple CarPlay-enabled infotainment system with forward collision warning, automatic front-rear emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear-crossing traffic warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beam, and lane departure warning. They also share Nissan's Safety Shield 360 Driver Assistance Suite.
What They Got Different?
It's a matter of size - the Titan XD, a 6.5-foot-three-quarter-heavy truck, has a longer wheelbase than the Titan and taller suspension. The Titan Crew Cab is a 139.8-inch wheel sport with a 5.5-footbed, 79.5 inches wide, 228.2 inches long, and model-based height is 75.1–77.2 inches.
Mechanically there are two differences between the two titans. One is in their standard gears; The Titan comes standard with the rear-wheel-drive while the Titan XD is only available with all-wheel drive.
The Titan has a maximum payload of 1,680 pounds and a towing capacity of 9,210 pounds in its most capable configuration. 2020 Nissan Titan XD towing capacity is 10,880 pounds, a gooseneck towing capacity of 11,000 pounds, and a maximum payload of 2,450 pounds.
Which is Better to Drive?
Globally, two trucks drive more differently than numbers. The Titan XD's shorter gearing, for example, actually makes it faster than the Titan, even if the numbers prove it. Unexpectedly, the standard Titan feels a lot more agile than its older brother. However, the lighter and more reinforced steering of the two trucks deserves no criticism.
Titan XD's aircraft carrier, such as the turning radius, is definitely worth it. At 53.8 feet compared to the standard Titan's 48.0-foot bend radius, the XD requires multiple points and a lot of patience at any turn beyond 90 degrees in a smaller area than a wide-open space. Both trucks drive the same; the suspension well absorbs massive effects.
Which is the Better Buy?
Both the 2020 Nissan Titan and the XD bring incredible power and capability, so your choice will depend on whether you need the hauling and a payload or not. Are you interested in learning more? Check out 2020 Nissan Titan XD and 2020 Nissan titan for sale at Reliance Nissan in Alvin, TX.

Out with the old in with the new. And a reason. I got rid of my 2017 Nissan Titan, and traded it for a 2019 Nissan Titan XD both were 4x4 and crew cabs. Difference the XD Has a Cummings Diesel and the heavy duty chassis. Reason. I want to put a camper in my truck and the old one wouldnt support it. #titan #titanxd #titanxdcummins #titanxdcummins #cummins #cumminspower #titan #nissantitan #nissantitanxd #nissan #truck #4x4offroad (at Nissan Sunnyvale) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAeAP5Dgl90bWnu4mr7C8QsURIQ5J1jMdoeng80/?igshid=1eibj6cgjlw83

Stompin’ visitor We're still the kind of extended family that - when your brother-in-law in Missouri gets a shiny new pickup truck, he and his son hop in and take it for a little break-in ride to New Mexico. The new Cummins turbo-V8 diesel is smooth as silk and still a stump-puller.
