the cute drunk rosho headcanons have inspired me, would you be able to write some headcanons / a fic for a drunk sasara being clingy and overly lovey-dovey towards his s/o? like i can see him being clingy and calling his s/o stupid cutesy pet names when not drunk, but i feel drunk sasara would dial that up to 100 lol! it can include the other members of dh if you want, either works for me!:) ty !!

Ahhhh~~~~ Sasara is too playful and needs to constantly emphasize how much she loves you! Of that I am sure! 💜He would also drop a lot of cheesy lines because he just isn't ashamed to say them. I totally agree, I feel that this writing does not do it justice and I should write one more

Sasara x Fem reader!

° You were leaving work quite tired, the fact that it was Friday and that you could see your boyfriend earlier than planned would restore your spirits. He had told you that he would go live and you were invited to the studio. So you search your cell phone for the program to see if it had already started.

° You discover that he is not alone, it seems that it was an interview with the entire division, to yourself you think if Rei should be there or not but hey, it didn't matter anymore. The questions flow and even though you try to be on time you think you could only see the end.

° You're already in the studio, you get them to let you in and get behind the scenes. Meanwhile, the boys are participating in a game of questions and answers, whoever loses must have a drink of alcohol. Again you wonder what kind of program they are participating in.

° The one who loses the most is Sasara, just because Rosho was paralyzed a while ago and Rei didn't want to drink something so cheap. You stop counting when she reaches the eighth glass, luckily the presenter decides to end the game and greet the spectators, allowing the participants to say goodbye as well. "Ahhh, I hope my sweet cupcake is seeing me somewhere" he Says when it's his turn.

° at that moment you wave your hand and he sees you, smiling like an idiot he returns the greeting by blowing you a flying kiss, using his other hand to make a heart with his thumb and index finger. Fortunately the program ends there, but not your shame.

° "My beautiful bunny, I'm so happy you're here!" He runs to you catching you in a hug spinning you around with him, giving you a loud and exaggerated kiss. That only means one thing, and that is that he is drunk.

° "Aren't you happy too? Don't you say hello to me? You don't love me anymore? I love you! My little squirrel " He pressed you tighter against him with each question, preventing you from answering "Hello honey, I love you too" but that didn't He reaches for it, he wants you to show it to him, so escaping from his grasp, you hold both sides of his face, depositing a tender kiss on the tip of his nose.

° "Do they have to do all that in public?" Rosho is more flushed than you are, making you aware of the looks people are giving you there, some whispering and looking in your direction. Far from feeling any pressure, Sasara speaks with your hands still on her face "obviously it must be like this, everyone must know how much I love her, she is the queen of my heart" rub her forehead with yours while squeezing your hands keeping them on that place.

° "hey! You're saying some very corny things" despite that, you laugh with him. "Ahh ~~ I can't help it, not when you look at me with those eyes" he is about to kiss your eyes but you stop him with a hand on his lips. "You can't act like that every time you drink!" He complains murmuring something you don't understand and still kisses your hand repeatedly until you take it out of his mouth.

° "No! If my sweet bear talks to me like that I could die..." he dramatizing he throws himself on the ground fanning himself, you're about to say something but he gets up at great speed, staggering a bit. Without telling you anything, he picks you up princess-style, running through the halls of the studio, upon reaching one of the dressing rooms he opens the door and closes it behind him with his feet.

° "Now there's no one… can you do what you always do? Come on, don't get mad, sweetheart" he pouts, twisting his head, with you in her arms, he leans against the door, sliding until he sits on the floor. "Won't you give me anything?... Nothing?... Please?" His eyes open slightly questioning you with sincerity and the faint blush that covers his face dazzles you

° That look is your weakness, you can't say no when he's like this. "You're a complicated little devil" placing your hand on the nape of his neck you kiss his jaw and it's just what he wanted. Laughing at having achieved his goal, he gives you a smile from ear to ear. "S/o, tell me something nice" you pretend to think just to make him nervous "you are so whimsical… my cute cuddly kitty, you have such a dazzling smile, do you want me to give you a treat?" Giving a little cry he laughs out loud shaking his legs moving you too, of course he wants it.

° Caressing his head with both hands, he ruffles his hair in all directions placing sporadic kisses on his cheeks. He responds to your touch by twisting his head closer to your fingers, craving more of your touch. Interrupting your attentions, he pushes your back into the floor, positioning himself above you on all fours.

° "ahhh~~~ you're my sunshine and I'm a sunflower! I can't live without you" you can't tell him how embarrassing his sentence was because he begins to fill your face with short kisses, fighting against your hands that try to stop him, he makes his way In the same way, making use of his strength, he also places his lips on your hands. Your body contorts under him, his kisses tickle you and surrendering to his affection you embrace him bringing him closer to you.

° He can't take it anymore, squealing as he continues saying ridiculously romantic phrases for you, demanding that you do the same for him. "S/o say I'm a good boy, say I'm your boy" you sigh and roll your eyes before complying with what he asks. "You really are my light, you are the star that guides my life" and he attacks again with his kisses, making sure to make them outrageously loud. Laughter escapes from both of you equally resounding like music in the room.

° he gradually he stops to watch you. Your eyes are closed and your cheeks are flushed from laughing so much. Seeing you like this makes him feel satisfied, moving back a little, he sits between your legs, hugging one of them using it as a pillow.

° "Goodnight, sweetheart" he says, stirring until he is completely comfortable, preparing to really sleep, but he opens his eyes an instant later "you didn't kiss me goodnight" you leave a kiss on the tips of your fingers and bring them closer to his lips, he delightedly receives it, catching your hand to intertwine with his.

° You're tempted to let him rest for a while, but a knock on the door startles you "hey lovebirds, there's a taxi waiting for you downstairs" It's Rei who's speaking and it's only then that you realize that everyone probably heard your embarrassing words and declarations of love . Little or nothing mattered to the scoundrel who slept so peacefully at your feet, but you couldn't get angry with him. You were just as drunk on the love of him.

BONUSES~~~~

° He don't let go of your hand all the way home, resting his head on your shoulder looking for you to continue with your pampering.

° Despite appearing to be in high spirits, he falls asleep instantly upon lying down. In the middle of the night and for no reason, he would wake you up so that you could hear him continue saying corny things "My love for you is so intense that even if you were reincarnated as a flower, I would be able to find you." You are not sure if he is still drunk but he is cloying when he wants to.

My opinions on who can and cannot cook in Reborn, regardless of canonicity. It’s just the Vibes.

KHR characters that can Actually Cook, IMO; Tsuna (it’s the tired mom vibes), Kyoko and Ryohei (I feel like they’d bond over it-), Takeshi, Hibari (for some reason?), Squalo probably (it’s the tired mom vibes again), Skull, Colonello

KHR characters that can’t Actually Cook, IMO; Hayato, Hana, Bianchi, Mukuro and Chrome (one is organless and the other is a melted freezie pop), Lal Mirch, Reborn, Verde (I refuse to believe he eats anything other than instant ramen cups)

Tell Me Your Thoughts

If we're going just Vibes instead of Canon? Well this ended up being way longer than I intended but:

Tsuna - I do feel like he could cook (Tired Mom Vibes like you said) if given the chance in the kitchen with no one around bothering him but most of the time wouldn't bother if it's just him.

Kyoko & Ryohei - I feel like they both think they can cook but in reality everything they make is fucking odd ala Orihime from Bleach

Takeshi - For him the vibes are the same as canon for me - he can make any sushi you can think of but if it's not in sushi form or cup ramen he struggles

Hibari - No one knows because cooking is a herbivorous activity he'd never be caught doing unless it's a freshly caught and skinned animal over an open fire in the wilderness somewhere. Plus he has people for that and/or takes the food off people he bites to death like they dropped loot.

Squalo - can cook out of self-defense/an attempt to herd the Varia and has some of the wildest but most stunningly precise knife work. Can't bake though, he's too Him for that.

Skull - I will always headcanon him as someone who can unexpectedly throw down in the kitchen and he has a wide range of recipes from various cultures because of all the travel he did as a stuntman. But not many people know that cause they just assume he's incompetent.

Colonnello - He can make exactly 3 dishes and only 1.5 of them well

Gokudera - Can't cook and has a complicated relationship with food because of trauma. Prefers packaged food that no one else has touched unless he 100% trusts the cook. But could absolutely bake if he attempted to because he's more science-minded and baking is more precise.

Hana - Normal person levels of cooking but she doesn't enjoy it

Bianchi - Can technically cook but doesn't really matter

Chrome - Can't cook but high-key wishes she could so she could make cutesy bento boxes and cakes

Mukuro - Probably had an incarnation that could cook and as such refuses to cook. Steals food instead if necessary.

Lal Mirch - Tries but constantly gets frustrated because her dishes never turn out right

Verde - Doesn't cook but probably could if he tried but it's a moot point because he's developed a nutrient slurry/pill that gives him everything he needs so he doesn't have to waste time in the kitchen. Makes a bitching coffee though with enough caffeine to kill a lesser man

Reborn - Can cook because he has a chef cosplay and he can't help but commit to the bit. That being said he generally prefers to mooch off someone else. Also low-key has a soft spot for peasant food/dishes when no one is looking.

hhh I have 3 episodes left in the tenjiku arc... so now more than ever I think mikey regressed :3 tw for abandonment

I think this is one he's kinda secretive about. the only people who knows is draken and you! also emma but not fully!

whether you've been friends with him from the beginning or came around later like takemichi. he senses a deep trust with you and having seen time and time again how you care for him he decided to open up a bit

+back on draken knowing. I think he might've put 2 and 2 together but didn't know how to call it! mikey is pretty childish by default; napping 24/7, throwing a tantrum if his meal doesn't have a flag on it, wanting to be carried. others over look it but draken looked a bit deeper. being so close to tomans leader. before you came along draken did care for him occasionally

now for emma, she notices when he's more childish than usual. sometimes his words slur when he's really tired, he can be a bit more irritable as well. sometimes he gets over excited about the simplest things.

she also has a slight influence over how his regression looks. I think mikey has a small bias for cutesy things, a pink stuffed animal here, a skirt there, pink paci or gacha character figurine. (most of his regression items r black monotone but u see pink here n there)

now for his regression hc's + reader lawl

his range is anywhere from 4-10

when he's older it's more discreet and just played off as his usual childish self, he's a bit needier, clingier, loves babbling and going on errands (they gotta be short, he will tire quickly)

whenever he's sleepy he loves hearing you info dump, or hum ur favorite tune, he likes your voice. plus it lowers his thoughts of you possibly leaving. he knows ur there, it soothes him and his racing heartbeat.

when he's younger he's less verbal, short sentences that can even be replaced by nouns, pronouns and titles

"mama/baba/dada, hug?"

little things he carries around as a comfort is a little plush taiyaki coin pouch and plush. def a kiddo that picks up shineys off the ground. has to empty his pockets at the end of the day ☹️

has an extra hair tie on his wrist and a small kandi bracelet that emma made him. he sometimes shakes it around to hear the click, clacks of the beads.

(aside from draken having like 3 hairties and baji having like 2. they always carry an extra for mikey)

probably has a stuffed animal from when he was younger aside from his old blankie/towel

big on contact. when he's regressed he has small tells but him latching on to you and touching you at every opportunity he gets. also the type to cling to you when he falls asleep.

not the type to walk off but he will stop and stare. of ur out shopping and he seems something he likes he will make a full dead stop and stare

5. how accurately is your country depicted?

(For Canada) He fits the global stereotype but, like some people have pointed out, I'd have expected him to be a bit more rugged and woodsy loll the amount of people I grew up with who just hiked and camped and mountain climbed and hunted all over the place all the time every weekend 🤯 I'm also from Alb*rta though so my opinions basically mean nothing! Now that I'm living in Ottawa for school, I think Canada should've been meaner underneath his veneer of shy politeness (noah fence to Ontarians I'm just not used to how you guys interact with each other kdjslhgf)

(For China) Hmm this is a difficult question ngl LOL there are some things that I was super pleasantly surprised about, Hima once said he made China more cold and cruel/intimidating seeming but after meeting actual Chinese people ended up making him more cutesy, I think the affection for pandas and hello kitty and cute things is accurate, these things are popular in China! I like that he's a little bad-tempered and irritable with western countries and the way he's proud and overbearing and clearly ancient both in a humourous grandpa way and in a serious and slightly tragic way.

However, parts of his characterization bother me a little... low-hanging fruit, but I hate 'aru' deeply and with a passion, whether or not the concept of Chinese people saying 'aru' really did come from the colonial era, it's just tired either way and I cringe whenever I hear it. I don't love how clumsy and stupid he acts, like I think it's cute in an isolated way, but in the greater context...

Ultimately, I don't think it's horribly egregious. A lot of Chinese and Sino diaspo fans enjoy his character and/or have interpretations that still clearly have their roots in canon, and I'm personally fairly satisfied with it. Oh, and one thing I loved is how originally all of the provinces were supposed to be their own characters who live in China's house! I wish Hima had brought that up more than once, I love that idea.

7. food-related headcanons?

MAN ok hmm! China has 8 great food regions, Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Szechuan and Zhejiang, and I'd imagine he can cook them all, but as Han Chinese culture has always been more concentrated in the vaguely more Southern regions, I'd imagine he'd prefer relatively more Southern food... dishes from Dongbei and Inner Mongolia, the north, in general, all have heavy influences from Mongolia and northern groups, and tend to be more wheat, butter, and milk heavy. and I'd imagine he's lactose intolerant and prefers rice LOL although he still enjoys Northern food that he can digest! For an example, breakfast.

I think China likes to make food from scratch sometimes taking days at a time to cook, but also enjoys instant noodles (though he modifies them and adds eggs and veggies) and pre-made food but he would never admit it. This is based off of canon, but he also likes fusion food and international food! Hotpot with cheese-filled rice cake and fried chicken, salmon sashimi was popular in parts of China for a while recently iirc, he's just a big foodie who likes a variety of flavours. He's very adventurous.

I think he likes to cook most of his meals but goes out for breakfast a lot, before a meeting or while out on his morning walk he just swings by one of Beijing's many breakfast stalls for a doufunao, some youtiao, shaobing, some doujiang, etc. I can't speak on Southern breakfasts, but when he spends time down there, I imagine they would also have a lot of cheap and fast breakfast shops, though the food is very different.

General headcanons: I think when he's tired he just gets a flavourless bowl of congee with some salted duck egg for breakfast, and that when one of his kids are sick he makes them steamed eggs and boiled pear soup. He has a strong grasp on the different elements of food in Chinese medicine and can integrate it into his cooking easily! He also makes his own xiancai (pickled veg) and has a doujiang machine for homemade fast soy milk. His cabinet filled with spices and vinegars and chili oils and cooking wine and so on and so forth is this huge walk-in closet of a place organized with homemade labels and filled from the top to the bottom. When he cooks, he has several stoves going at a time, frying and boiling and steaming and chopping all at once, before celebrations like new years he spends days in the kitchen. The only thing he doesn't make from scratch himself for celebrations are dumplings, while he's working away everyone gathers around the cleared-off dining table and Macau shapes the dough and they all make dumplings together and Hong Kong puts weird fillings in some dumplings as pranks and Taiwan folds them into cute little animal shapes and fills them with brown sugar.

I have a lot of things to say about food but if I say anymore it'll turn into a book, so I'll leave it at that for now hehe maybe I'll make a proper post on it's own sometime!

36. if you could, what event would you host?

Hmm maybe one for OCs, or minority/native culture OCs! I don't think it would get enough traction, but I'd also love to host a China based event LOL I just don't think there would be enough people to participate :')

headcanon larry is VERY particular about his hair and never let's anyone near it. it may not look like it but he does take a lot of pride on having it that long even though it started because he wanted to look like a band singer he really liked. does he brush it as often as he should? no. is it filled with mats? kind of!! lisa sometimes can't get to them and has to wrestle larry so she can cut those off? ABSO-FUCKING LUTELY!!

if he lets you touch it, braid it or style it you are hereby considered one of his besties for life. my man turns into a straight up puppy and leans onto your hand when you do as much as smooth out his hair so it doesn't look like a bird's nest (it doesn't work, btw)

Bubba

Bubba is a bashful sucker for any physical attention you give him and most of the time can't contain his excitement around you anyways. There are a lot of times that Bubba vocally and physically stims to release all of that energy from your kisses

While he isn't picky about the contact, Bubba eagerly enjoys hand holding. It's the easiest and more convenient way that he knows to show his affection towards you and to receive it. He's a simple man

Actively searched for you throughout the day for contact and soothing words. With how chaotic it is with all of his brothers Bubba is brought down a lot and isn't quite sure how to handle it so he always comes looking for you! You have the best way of soothing and showing him how much you love and care for him

It is hard for him to get work done when he requires your touch but it's something he's willing to work with. Bubba finds himself scurrying across the house from task to you to task throughout the entire day

Thomas

Thomas is quite similar to Bubba in regards to being very overwhelmed with the nature of his household and just exactly how to release his emotions throughout the day. Thomas often finds himself exceptionally depressed and no way to let it out until you came along

He appreciates everything you do for and to him with every ounce of his being and refuses to let you think that he doesn't appreciate you. While his affection is a bit different than yours, he is still learning

Kisses are his kryptonite. There isn't a lot of affection that he receives that actually make his brain shut down completely, but kisses will do it, especially to his face. He's self-conscious and nervous but you reassure him that you love him no matter what

Routinely sits down every hour or so with you on his lap so that you can give him kisses and pamper his tired hands and body. You're his little, scary bodyguard and masseuse

Billy

Enjoys the superiority he gets whenever you gentle give him affection. It's a power and an ego booster depending on his mood but especially if it's in public. Billy is subtle about how to responds to your touch but he does enjoy it

He's possessive over your touch and can grow very grouchy if gone too long without it. While he isn't very vocal about wanting your touch again you can tell by his mood and stance when he's in need or just needy. He get's what he wants

Playing with his fingers and kissing his knuckles as he converses if a soft spot for him. Making sure to relay this affection by running his thumb along your skin and using his other hand to squeeze you gently as you do so

Your demeanors clash in a good way while in public. Your soft appearances and his stoic, sturdy posture as he walks alongside his boyfriend. You're the little ray of sunshine that has an odd amount of physical control over him to keep him sane for the time being

Stu

Unlike Billy, Stu is heavy on the PDA when it comes to your relationship. Any amount of soft affection you give him through the day is met back with 10x force and effectiveness. Stu thrives off of this attention and doesn't settle for anything less

It's expected of you at this point for comfort and touch no matter the circumstances or environment and he makes that very apparent, you know he isn't very quite about what he wants

A competition breaks out every time no matter if you meant it to or not and he's set out to win. Stu adores your cutesy attitude and makes sure to compliment on how handsome you look coddling him. Go on, wipe that red off of your cheeks and give him a phat kiss

Any sort of kiss is a go to with Stu but that doesn't make him any less handy. Especially when you mindlessly play with his hair and kiss the top of his ears, it's an easy way to knock him into a deep sleep if he happens to be getting on your nerves

i feel like taeil would want someone closer to his age (+/-), unless,,, UNLESS he finds someone he really clicks with (like haechan for eg) if they’re at a younger age

if he really does then taeil will 100% make the effort

ngl taeil would love a person taller than him, would worship the shit outta them

if he gets teased for being shorter he doesnt care LMAO this man will have his hand around your middle and eye the other person mockingly

would love when you own your appearance with confidence, he likes to be by your side to admire how comfortable you feel in your skin

see him being a more traditional man by dating a korean person, but if he’s attracted to someone not of his race, i can see him making the effort

My thoughts on how an Alchemist revolution could go

I turned some of the initial points into a one-shot, but I'm very unlikely to actually write anything that sees all of it through to the end, so I'm laying out what I imagine would happen. I could follow the initial fic's format and just write cutesy domestic fluff with hints of what is going on in the Alchemist revolution in the background, but who knows

In The Golden Lily, Sonya thought Sydney's blood might be key to a vaccine, since it was undrinkable to Strigoi. Later, in The Fiery Heart, in their visit to Inez, we find out that it's because her blood is coated in human magic. That makes it taste foul to undead vampires, and also broke her Alchemist tattoo, by countering the compulsion of Moroi magic with human magic.

She eventually uses a similar principle to make the tattoo breaking ink she gives to Marcus, and that she uses to help the other re-education inmates in Silver Shadows.

So, with that in mind:

My initial idea was that one of Marcus' operatives, who got tattooed with Sydney's ink, would suffer a Strigoi attack. Their blood would turn out to be undrinkable. Since Sydney's ink breaks the Alchemist tattoo, the receivers blood would get coated with human magic, like a witch's.

I would like it if that person was one of the people Sydney helped in re-education, because I'd like to think those people stayed loyal to her, and maybe see her as a leader. Just because it's really touching to me how she was still worried about others, and risking herself to help, while she was going through her worst nightmare.

In my fic I went with Sydney's roommate Emma, "the Sydney Sage of re-education", because I really love her. She really did turn out to be the Sydney of re-education, at least in part, because while she was repeating the party line and trying to seem cooperative, she was actually a badass rebel who fights back. There are other reasons, I'll get to that in the end.

Sydney's ink potentially working as a Strigoi vaccine is something important enough that she would risk her truce with the Alchemists to investigate. And since the ink also makes people immune to their mind control, the Alchemists wouldn't work with them like they did for the spirit vaccine. I truly believe that they value their control more than human souls.

I'm sure Declan’s blood will be important to the spirit vaccine. They couldn't mass produce it since it required a recent Strigoi restoration, trapping the spirit before it left the blood, while his blood is described as brimming with spirit. But Sydney and Adrian don't want their son to be experimented on, so that's just more incentive to seek an alternative.

I think Sydney’s ink wouldn't work on Moroi, going by the logic of the magic described in the books (human magic wins out in humans), but helping humans is already a big deal, and it could maybe work on dhampirs.

Meanwhile, the Alchemists have been getting polarized. When it's revealed that some of them were helping the Warriors of Light in the end of the series, while Warriors were keeping Moroi captive, that causes controversy. They eventually start to get divided into factions.

After the US re-education center burns down, those who oppose re-education try to defend that it not be rebuilt, and that other centers be shut down. There are symbolic concessions, but they eventually get basically re-education by another name. Similar things happen when it comes to demands for more transparency, and less authoritarianism in general.

And of course there's a reaction to progressive demands. A hardcore anti-Moroi faction is amenable to teaming up with the Warriors. They're tired of "fighting evil by cataloguing it."

If this faction wins out, they won't actually care that Sydney is blackmailing them into letting her live with proof that they worked with the Warriors, since they openly want that, and they consider her continued existence a humiliation. So Sydney and Adrian wouldn't be able to sit out this fight.

There are more and more defectors who simply leave and join Marcus (or go into hiding and try to stay away from that whole mess). But out of those who stay Alchemists, as things start to devolve into an actual civil war, the moderate faction has a lot of infighting about joining up with the rebels.

That's at least in part because Sydney is one of their most notorious members, and while they might not want to see all the Moroi exterminated, marrying one of them is still going way too far to a lot of them.

So, let's talk allies. Sydney definitely put Marcus in touch with more witches and taught them how to make the ink. And I think besides kidnapping Moroi and dhampirs, the Warriors could be capturing witches too, which would turn them against each other.

In re-education, when it's revealed that Sydney has magic they say that has happened before, and I imagine they handled it with the same amount of compassion. I think maybe Chantal is a witch too and that's why she was fown in the punishment level with Sydney.

Alicia definitely showed that some witches might be willing to work with them for their personal gain, but I think as a community they would protect their own. They wouldn't look kindly on Alchemists torturing witches. And even if they were born into the Alchemists, they chose to be witches, so their allegiance to them would take precedence in their minds. Sydney's coven and Ms. Terwilliger are definitely on board.

I think the rebels might be able to get the Keepers on their side, since they have a complicated relationship with the Alchemists, where they seemto deliberately keepthem dependent. Marcus' stated goal for a long time was helping Moroi on their own terms, that's what he did for a long while. He definitely didn't have any plans to topple the Alchemists in the Bloodlines era, he didn't thinkthat was possible. So they occasionally helped them get better technology and resources that the Alchemists don't want them to have, and they promise to help them further in the future. That gets them the Keepers sympathy.

The Moroi government obviously isn't gonna side with the anti-Moroi faction, but I think they'd try to stay out of the conflict and not be dragged into the fighting for as long as possible. But they've come to depend on the Alchemists too much to keep them hidden, and they're now in chaos.

With the Alchemists weakened by a civil war they aren't really doing a great job of keeping up the masquerade, Moroi secrecy gets very precarious.

Now. While Alchemists claim to be very worried about human souls, absolutely no one in the VA universe seems that worried about regular humans' lives. They don't even know about the existence of Strigoi so they could protect themselves. And yes, there are humans who'd work with Strigoi. Strigoi seem to have zero issue finding those humans as is, they simply tell them about vampires themselves when they wanna get servants.

Now there's a vaccine that could help protect humans, and really reduce Strigoi's capacity to feed, but you have to actually apply them to humans. And more and more supernatural events are being sloppily covered up since the Alchemists are otherwise preoccupied.

I'm sure there are some valid reasons for the masquerade, and humans might not behave amazingly towards supernatural creatures, but leaving them completely helpless to this threat isn't very ethical, and certainly not when you have a vaccine that could help them.

And honestly, as cliche as that argument is in discussions of monster hunting, humans could potentially take the Strigoi out, we have some pretty amazing weapons. Or we could be massively incompetent about a problem that we are fully capable of solving. You know...

So the supernatural world gets revealed, and that makes the Alchemists pretty obsolete. Of course, although they have been weakened by the decade(s) of infighting, that doesn't mean they lose all of their resources and connections all at once, but it would be a huge blow their relevance.

They get splintered into a lot of different groups that can still cause trouble, but they're no longer the omnipresent shadow organization they used to be.

And if this whole process took about 15 years, Declan and his buddies would be neatly protagonist aged in time to deal with the huge upheaval and the new mess of problems brought on by the integration of the Moroi and human world. And he'd more capable of thinking about his own relationship to the spirit vaccine and making his own decisions.

So most of this post was written to be understood whether or not you read Silver Stars, but this final bit is more about what could directly follow. When it comes to the fic I was more worried about the characters and their feelings, and excuses for domestic fluff and hurt/confort. So here's the fic on AO3 and on Tumblr.

In the end of The Ruby Circle, there's indication that Zoe Sage and Stanton, with the incentive of Sydney's blackmail, will be trying to reform the Alchemists. I don't really think they're reformable, attempts to extinguish re-education would basically result in rebranding. @sydneysageivashkov has some lesbian!Zoe head that I think are pretty compatible with my headcanons for an Alchemist revolution, and what Zoe would be doing during that initial period.

I think it could take a few more years, 3 or 4, for Sydney to actually have to leave her home and go into hiding. Declan foes actually get a little bit of a normal school experience. I imagine this whole process going very slowly, as the situation gradually deteriorates. And the witches would now claim Sydney as one of their own, making it a bigger problem for the Alchemists to attack her directly, lest they make enemies of the whole magical community.

By the time Sydney has to go into hiding I imagine Zoe is gonna have to leave the Alchemists as well. The other reason why I chose Emma for the first fic, is that she was in re-education in part for her sister's actions, so it shows that the Alchemists wouldn't be above hurting Zoe for Sydney's actions.

Sydney has very important reasons to join the revolution, and in fact she might eventually not have a choice, but she knows that once she officially breaks her truce with the Alchemists her whole family and even her fellow re-education inmates that she got amnesty for.

I imagine Sydney, Adrian, Eddie and Declan could spend a while hiding in a ranch very out of the way that Chantal and Duncan got themselves. Insert Adrian joke about that escape plan where cute blonde girls had to wear cow girl outfits.

Duncan has been shown to be pretty hesitant to risk going against authority, and Chantal is even more psychologically messed up than Sydney and the rest of them. Sydney feels pretty awful about placing them in danger, but they're both very grateful to her for helping them escape. Also Chantal is a really badass witch, although a bit unstable, I'll eventually find something to do with that, revolution wise.

But Sydney and Adrian would eventually leave and get more active roles in the revolution. I would very much like it to be an actual collective movement and not one special girl bringing down the Alchemists by herself, but I think Sydney would have a pretty prominent role after everything she went through.

Alfred has Annoying High School Freshman Energy and you can’t tell me otherwise

Anyway, he couldn’t actually believe when he developed feelings for you, he’s 19 afterall!! or, I mean looks like he is

Regardless. he thought he shouldn’t be in a relationship, he should be out there living his best life! Right???

As it would turn out, in order to “live his best life”, he needed you to be by his side

When you two are in an actual relationship, he spoils the ever living f u c k outta you, getting you extravagant gifts and taking you to expensive dates

The ‘expensive date’ portion of that usually isn’t fancy restaurants, but instead trips to Disney World, Magic Mountain, and other fun or fast pace places

He calls you so many cutesy pet names (babe, sugar, honey, darlin’, etc.) that you start to think he forgot your actual name

He wants you to call him cute names too!!

I hope you like stereotypical cowboy accents, because normally he has a mid-western accent (read: none at all), but when he gets tired, it sort of drops to a low southern draw

He lowkey gets embarrassed being all cute with you when his friends (The Boys™) are around, but he’s working on it

At the end of the day, he’s a real sweetheart

Now that the most important thing is out of the way, Allen is very much brash and a fast paced guy, never really staying in one place (or with one person) for too long

When you two are dating, he’s the type of boyfriend to flirt with you in public when he sees you, pretending like you’re just some attractive stranger who caught his attention

It’s a little game he enjoys plating so try to flirt back

His dates are more old school too, taking you to drive-ins and family diners mostly

However, if you’ve eaten meat or other animal products, he will straight up refuse to do so until you brush your teeth

Will encourage you to eat animal substitutes too but won’t force it in you

He does, however, have some anger problems, so, when arguments between you two do happen, it can get l o u d

If you ask him to and give him encouragement along the way, he’ll try his best to seek anger management counseling

In spite of his flaws, he really does just want to make you happy and feel safe

Matthew is an absolute sweetheart, but he has the habit of being a tab bit on the shy side

He developed feelings for you when you two were hanging out as friends, getting coffee/hot chocolate/tea in the early afternoon, both wearing what you slept in and his hair was a bit messy, tied back in a tiny pony tail

Maybe it was the way the afternoon sun hit you, maybe it was your smile, but he was s m i t t e n

He most likely didn’t tell you about his feelings right away, you being the one to ask him out

He’s not great at expressing affection or romantic interest at all

He didn’t ask you out when he liked you, as he had it in his mind that you deserved better than him

When you asked him out (or if you’re too shy, Allen got impatient and asked you out for him) he was a little on the cautious side of things

As the relationship progresses though, he’s quite happy, even if he doesn’t necessarily show it

The way he shows affection for you is through quality time

He’ll set some time aside just to spend hours with you

Which reminds me, his dates aren’t anything extra, he prefers spending them at his place, and he wouldn’t go out of his way to do much more unless you ask him too

my brain is dead and if i try to write fic rn i just know it won’t be coherent so have these dumb headcanons instead.

what iwaizumi calls oikawa

oikawa

when they're in front of other people, he just calls oiks by his last name

iwa isn't huge on pda (though he puts up with it from oikawa because he's sOFT for him) so he doesn't feel the need to stake a claim on oikawa in public with cutesy nicknames or whatever

he's not gonna admit it but he already knows oikawa belongs to him & vice versa so,, what's the point?

also he doesn't need to be mocked by hanamaki or matsukawa for being a sap, thanks.

shittykawa/trashykawa/crappykawa/loserkawa/assikawa/dumbass...yeah

ok i feel like iwaizumi doesn't use these insults super often, especially when they get older and more settled in their relationship

it mostly happens when he gets mad that oiks is being negative or self-deprecating or overworking himself again

sometimes he uses them teasingly when oikawa's being a brat on purpose, but he always sounds so affectionate that oikawa can't even bring himself to be offended

doesn't really use them in front of other people just because he'll fight anyone who dares to laugh when he says them. he's the only one who can insult oiks and get away with it!!

tooru

saved for intimate domestic moments, when it's just the two of them

oikawa LOVES it when they're staying home and cooking breakfast or something and iwaizumi calls him tooru without thinking twice about it (”tooru, can you pass me the salt?” or “hey, tooru, wanna go see that new movie that’s in theaters today?”)

he just says it so casually but it feels so right and oikawa melts every time

iwa loves saying it because it sounds so sweet and full on his tongue, and he thinks it suits oikawa so well

((iwaizumi loves oikawa, but he has to share him with the rest of the world. he loves that he gets tooru all to himself.))

similar deal. i like to think that iwa alternates between this & tooru.

happens more often when iwa isn’t fully awake

iwa likes to wrap his arms around oikawa and bury his face into his neck and mumble “g’morning, baby” with his voice still hoarse from sleep

oikawa literally can’t handle it. he combusts. it’s his favorite part of the day even though he refuses to admit it

once it slipped out in the middle of practice (iwa may have been distracted by oikawa’s smile after landing a perfect jump-serve, shut up) and matsuhana would not let it go for DAYS.

every time they saw oikawa they would be like “hey captain - oh wait, i mean babe” until iwa threatened to hurt them if they didn’t stop

the first time it happened was on accident because iwa was just trying to make fun of oikawa

he wasn’t expecting oiks to go bright red and speechless when he said it, but it was SO funny

now he says it to tease oikawa whenever he needs to be taken down a peg. he’ll never get tired of seeing his usually polished, in-control boyfriend become a flushed, stuttering mess

oiks has no idea why it has such a big effect on him?? he knows he’s attractive & he hears it all the time from his admirers, but it’s so different to hear iwa-chan, of all people, calling him pretty.

what oikawa calls iwaizumi

i couldn’t think of as many things for oiks to call iwa because iwa-chan basically covers it all??

no one else is allowed to call iwaizumi “iwa-chan,” just like no one else is allowed to call oikawa “shittykawa.”

tbh iwaizumi isn’t even sure oikawa remembers what his actual last name is at this point

whenever he hears it, iwaizumi is reminded of humid august nights catching fireflies & failed volleyball tosses in the park & sharing futons until they grew too big to fit.

it makes him think of their childhood, of growing up together, of each being the other’s first love, first everything.

they learned to love together & oikawa has changed so much, but at the same time he hasn’t, and when iwaizumi lets himself think about it he gets emotional

so he usually doesn’t think about it and just lobs a ball at oikawa’s head and tells him to shut up LMAO

hajime

oikawa probably uses iwa’s first name less often than iwa uses his

not because he doesn’t want to or because he’s uncomfortable with it, he just thinks it’s special (iwa-chan never let me call him by his first name when we were kids!) and he wants to make it special whenever he says it

iwa makes fun of him for being sentimental, but he adores the thought oiks puts into it, and he falls HARD whenever oikawa does say it.

again, it usually happens in private

oikawa will whisper it into the space between their bodies when they’re curled up together, ready for bed

he’ll say it like a prayer, hushed and reverential, because he can’t believe iwaizumi has stayed by his side, has chosen him and chosen him over and over again, all this time.

and then iwa kisses him, as if to say of course, you idiot, i’ll always choose you, and oikawa murmurs hajime, hajime, hajime into the kiss.

oh also he knows how much iwa likes when he says it & he’ll definitely use that to his advantage when he wants attention

mi cariño/mi corazón/mi amor/etc.

listen, oikawa speaking spanish to iwaizumi makes me hyperventilate

as soon as this boy knew he was moving to argentina, he went and looked up all the spanish pet names he could because he wanted to fluster iwa as much as iwa flustered him

for a solid month he was walking around san juan not knowing how to ask for directions when he got lost, but at least he knew how to say “you’re the light of my life and i love you.”

he’s also 10000000x flirtier in spanish than he is in japanese which was a surprise to everyone, including iwa, because no one really thought he could get any worse.

iwa has no idea what oiks is saying half the time, but he likes the way he says it

oiks, on the other hand, is glad iwa can’t understand him because it gives him an excuse to say as much sappy shit as he wants

picture him,, like,, kissing iwa's hand and putting it over his heart and calling him mi corazón
