Inflation is so high, that foods can’t even satisfy your hunger despite of expensive price. Tuition fees and bills will just make you overthink at night, counting all the money left in your wallet, piggybank, and ATM card.

In terms of fun, we still earn our coins to spend with our friends to unwind, and I see nothing wrong with that, if you think that it is what makes your sanity stable, then go for it, as long as you know you worked hard for it, you deserve it, and as long as you still know how to manage your money.

What I don’t understand is some people are still willing to push through on every expensive event just to feed their social life, even if their wallets are whimpering.

I mean, yes, you wanna enjoy, and you have the right to do it, but can’t you see your priorities? Or if you can’t see your wallet, why can’t you just read the room and think that not all of your friends have money? You even tell us that we need to be streetwise to enjoy, yet you’re the one who spends a huge amount here. If your definition of streetwise is spending 1k Php within 1 day, then I don’t want it.

One more thing, I can’t understand is those people who continuously borrow money for unnecessary stuff. I mean, if you borrowed once, twice, or thrice for your ��wants”, I can lend you money, especially if you have valid reasons like your allowance was delayed, but to the point that it’s almost every other day, every week and every month that it makes my wallet slim? No. If it’s your bills or tuition, I am very willing to give, but seeing you spending in on stuff like that? It’s a huge NO.

What annoys me more are those people who suddenly feel weak when the “supposed treat” is canceled due to emergency reasons. Then you better don’t go. If your energy and happiness depend on “treat” or “libre”, then you better back off instead of having a long face that looks like you are compelled to attend.

Some people like to plan a HUGE trip, as if it’s easy to get there as if it doesn’t require a huge amount. Why don’t you plan first on earning and, managing your money? In that way, you won’t be complaining to us that it can’t even happen because of us. Darling, it’s okay to dream big, but make sure first that you are not abusing your wallet.

What do I hate the most? Those friends that like to compare our circle to another circle. We got it, honey, that circle always eats in expensive restaurants, they can go to beaches through their impulsive decisions, but they are them, and we are we, and what’s wrong with that? We are not like them who have black cards. Hindi kami apo ni Henry Sy or relative ni Laude. To be honest, you shouldn’t be saying that to us when you’re the one who keeps wasting money.

today's home-cooked meals.

Breakfast- Tuyo silog. Now ko lang nalaman na puede pala kainin yung ulo ng tuyo. sorry na,

Lunch - seafood pasta (daw) mas madami pa yung mushrooms lol. yung tirang baked salmon hinalo na dito.

Dinner - Callos na konti lang kinain ko kasi di ako mahilig sa tuwalya (tripe) then we had cake for dessert. yung cake yan yung rolls na nabibili sa supermarket. manang cion to make it more pleasing to the eyes, layers it with cream cheese frosting and tops it with leftover fruits. the cake roll costs about 130 pesos each. tipid diba.

nag work from home lang ako today since kinakabag ako at grabe utot ng utot (flatulence) it must be the food or the coffee i had yesterday. my sister in law who is a doctor had me buy gastro medicines and advised me to take probiotic drinks.

1/24/2025 • Thanksgiving Party 🪩

- almost 1 month lang kami nagprepare kasi peak season nung Dec, so January na nakapagplan for the party. it wasn’t grand, we just wanted to make it happen bc our general manager told us it’s been so long since they had a party with everyone. (super busy ng red retail company na to chz)

- 200 pax tapos 10 lang kami sa department, di pa lahat tumulong mag organize (thankful for VM and Marketing) .

- sobrang tedious magmanage ng program, let alone the planning, but it’s possible (found it enjoyable too kahit super tiring)

- i realized parang mas trip ko talaga employee engagement kahit super introverted ako HAHAHA. or baka namiss ko lang being in the field (tangina gusto ko pa rin mag field work, ayoko na ng desk job but i also love my me time-excel time at work)

- what i noticed dito sa HR, magttransform ka nalang talaga pag may pumitik sa sintido mo kahit gaano ka ka-introverted hahahahah.

- hinatid ako ng manager ko pauwi tapos nabanggit ng workmates ko na may pupuntahan pa nga ako, 10 PM pa lang yun. my manager told me bukas na ako gumimik and they will drop me off sa bahay (alam nila coz she’s been doing it before pa, tinamad lang ako sumabay recently) HAHAHA pero syempre nagpababa ako sa bahay kasi dami ko rin bitbit. tapos umalis ulit para magyosi. tangina next time try ko na sa rooftop namin mag yosi para tipid sa pamasahe. 🙄

- coffee & yap with cath (syempre yosi on the side) hahahahah i love nights like this; walang pasok kinabukasan lol

- memorable tong party na to kasi take out ko, fruits. 🍉🥭🍈 kaumay yung lechon.

first day ng taping niyo ngayon para sa bagong movie adaptation project mo with park jisung as your leading man. you’ve actually met him a lot before through award shows and birthday parties of some of your celebrity friends, pero hindi mo pa siya nakakatrabaho that’s why this movie will be your first project together. nameet mo rin siya nung script reading niyo with the other casts, but you didn’t interact much with him that time, bali nag uusap lang kayo kapag nag babatuhan ng linya. halos lahat ng casts sa movie na ito ay first time mo makakatrabaho and you’re hoping for the best.

“nako, ma’am!” napailing na lang ang driver mo nang tumirik ang kotse.

you had no choice, but to hop in dahil malelate at maistress ka lang kung mag cocommute ka pa. alam mo naman ang transportasyon at ang init dito sa pilipinas, papasok ka pa lang ng trabaho parang pauwi ka na. after contemplating for a second, naupo ka na sa backseat ng kotse— hindi naman dahil sa uncomfortable kang katabi siya, it’s just that you’re not close yet so..

“ginawa pa kong driver niya,” jisung murmured, watching you sit at the back.

“may sinasabi ka ba?” you asked when you heard him saying something you didn’t hear clearly.

jisung chuckled and shook his head, “huh? wala ah.”

ilang minutong tahimik ang biyahe at natigil lang iyon nang basagin ito ni jisung, “have you eaten breakfast? may bibilhin ako sa starbucks, isasabay ko na kung may gusto kang ipabili.”

“my treat,” he added.

you shook your head and smiled at him, “i’m good, thanks.”

jisung nodded, but he still ended up buying you an iced coffee and sandwich just in case you have not eaten yet, he asked the staff for a recommendation, which is why he got the latte for you, while he got himself an iced americano.

nang makarating kayo sa lugar kung saan kayo mag sh-shoot ng unang scene ay nakatulog ka and jisung has no clue on how to wake you up. you must be really tired from taping, he thought to himself while staring at your sleeping state.

“y/n.. we’re here,” gising niya sayo while lightly tapping your arms, “y/n, hey, gising na.”

agad ka namang nagising nang marealize na nakatulog ka sa biyahe, “i’m sorry,” sambit mo at saka pinunasan ang pisngi.

he smiled, “it’s okay.”

“thank you ulit,” sabi mo nang parehas kayong makalabas ng sasakyan.

tango at tipid na ngiti lang ang isinagot ni jisung habang pinaglalaruan nito sa kamay ng susi ng kotse. you immediately rolled your eyes when you saw yangyang grinning watching the both of you walk.

“bakit sabay kayo dumating, ha? ikaw ah,” he asked in a teasing voice.

you rolled your eyes, “nasiraan ako ng kotse tapos nadaanan niya kami ni kuya kaya sinabay niya na ko, kung anu-ano na naman iniisip mo.”

“okay, sabi mo e,” yangyang chuckled at your defensiveness.

“doon ka na nga, hinahanap ka daw doon! doon ka na, shoo!” you pushed him lightly.

yangyang laughed at your words, “enjoy your breakfast!”

jisung went to his shared tent with a co-actor and started getting ready for the taping, reviewing his script while his make-up artist were doing his make-up. he froze while reading the script when a spark of memory flashed through his mind. that’s why her perfume smells familiar to me, he thought to himself.

“jisung, ready ka na? we’ll start in a few,” yangyang suddenly asked.

jisung didn’t even notice that his make-up artist had finished doing his make-up because his mind was preoccupied thinking about you, “huh? uh— yes, ready na, susunod na ko.”

May nag-maternity leave nanaman, at syempre, ako nanaman ang nilagay na cover. Hindi na talaga nakakatuwa 'tong 0.5 effort-based allocation thing na nalalaman nila. Paano naging 0.5 'yun? 0.5 physician, 0.5 role ng iba, okay ah, tipid sa bayad? Hire 1 to do the work of 2. Walang pagpapahalaga sa mga tao.

CAWAG HEXA DAYHIKE 6 mountains. 26 kilometers. 17 hours.

Alam kong masyadong ambisyoso ang pag-akyat ko ng Cawag Hexa (7/9 difficulty) lalo na't Batulao pa lang ang pinakamahirap na experience ko sa bundok—which is 4/9 and just a minor hike.

But I was feeling very bold and confident, I took the challenge. Nasurvive ko naman ang first major hike ko hahaha.

Here's a quick recap (long post ahead):

Una pa lang, sinabihan na agad kami sa jump off na mag water ration. Dahil impyerno ang Cawag due to limited water source, and open trail with hardly any trees to shed from the sun's draining heat, kailangan mo talagang magconserve ng water for 15-20 hours.

Approx 4 hours daw paakyat ng 1st mountain.

We left the jump off at 2am.

Sobrang OA nung pagka-mabato ng trail, parang rock climbing na esp sa last part ng ascent. Certain parts of the trail are slippery. Mahamog na nga, malumot pa.

Syempre hindi kumpleto ang experience kung hindi tayo nadulas hahaha. Good thing wala namang injury but minimal scratches lang on knee. Tanga lang ako for thinking na kaya kong maglakad ng mabilis on slippery slopes despite wearing proper shoes. Wala pang first summit, may sugat na agad si tanga hahaha 😅😅

MT. BALINGKILAT (1100 masl)

Reached the summit by sunrise.

We were told that the ascents of 1st and 4th mountain are the hardest among the six. Naka-ilang 'take five' din kami jusq. Palakasan ng binti at baga itong unang bundok hahaha.

May water source sa summit, yun nga lang hindi ko sure saan galing yung tubig hahaha. Buti na lang malakas sikmura ko sa mga ganito.

The descent from the 1st mountain was the most challenging. Maraming nag-back out dahil dito. Mahirap nga naman kasi dahil sa big boulders + sharp rocks + knife edge. All these while under the sun. 🥵

BUT because I love rocks, and descents are my fave, sobrang na-enjoy ko tooo. Promise para ka lang nakikipag-patintero kay kamatayan hahaha. One small step and you're gone lol 💀

MT. BIRA BIRA (450 masl)

We reached the 2nd mountain by 9am. Too bad, walang signage kaya picture na lang daw as proof hahaha.

*Yung nasa likod ko, yan lang naman yung binaybay namin papunta sa pangalawang bundok hehe 😎

On to the 3rd mountain, banayad na yung daan pero jusq lusaw na lusaw na kami. Hindi kinakaya ng payong at ng pamaypay yung pagkabanas ko hahaha

Buti na lang at mabait si lord. Mga ilang beses din kaming binigyan ng clouds kaya temporarily nakasilong kami mula sa init ng araw. 🙏🏼

MT. NAULAW (450 masl)

Sobrang weird nito kasi itong bumagsak lang na posteng to ang palatandaan mong nasa 3rd mountain ka na hahaha

Wala ulit signage kaya picture na lang kahit hulas na hahaha

Continuing to the 4th mountain, may nadaanan kaming sapa. We decided to regroup and eat our lunch here. Pahinga na rin ng konti.

Anw, wala talaga sa plano ko ang maligo pero dahil banas na banas ako, nagbasa na ko just to beat the heat. Nagpatuyo na lang kami paakyat ng 4th mountain.

Also, huling water source na to kaya after this, tipid na talaga sa tubig.

Nalagas na kami dito. From 26 pax, 12 na lang ang naglakas loob na tumuloy. We were given an option earlier to exit at Bira-Bira, kasi wala na raw exit moving forward. Pag tinuloy mo, you rly have to finish 'til jump off.

Medyo gloomy na yung weather while climbing the 4th mountain. Somehow thankful because the heat from the sun's gone. But still, kabado pa rin dahil baka abutan ng ulan sa summit.

Wala na kaming idea gaano kalayo ang peak. Nilalaban ko na lang ang bawat hakbang kasi pamatay tuhod at baga din tong bundok na to jusq.

MT. DAYUNGAN (935 masl)

Exactly when we reach the summit of the 4th mountain, saktong bumuhos yung ulan. Wala na kaming nagawa, kanya-kanyang payong at kapote na.

The 5 of us in the lead decided not to wait for the rest of them sa summit, dahil bukod sa malakas na ang ulan, kumikidlat-kidlat pa. Bumaba na kami agad and went straight to the next mountain.

Walang signage + walang clearing. Next! 😂😂

Mas lalong naging challenging ang descent from the prev mountain all the way to the 5th mountain. Aside from the cold weather and heavy rain, madulas at maputik na yung trail. The odds of falling are very high this time hahahaha

Well, tumigil na rin naman yung ulan after 20-30mins, pero sobrang dreadful na maglakad because of our wet socks and shoes.

MT. CINCO PICOS (881 masl)

Hindi ko masyadong naintindihan yung talak pero parang sarado raw talaga at hindi pa binubuksan ang Cinco Picos, and will require more than a day to climb it. Kaya diyan lang daw talaga sa area na yan (am not sure if we were at the foot of the 5th mountain) ang mga Cawag Hexa hikers.

Huminto na nga yung ulan, pero umay na umay ako sa talahib. Parang 65-70% ng trail going to the last mountain puro talahib.

Sobrang taas, humahampas na yung talahib sa mukha mo, nahaharangan pa yung path. Madulas na nga yung trail, di mo pa masyadong makita yung dinadaanan mo bc of the tall grass.

Buti na lang talaga naka-raincoat and pants ako. Hindi ako masyadong nagasgasan hehehe

MT. REDONDO (660 masl)

Finally! Ang mga bagong graduates ng Cawag Hexa dayhike hahaha.

Sobrang solid din ng mga kasabayan ko sa lead group, mapupush ka talaga to move forward. Ang lalakas! 💪🏼💪🏼

Hindi na kami masyadong nagtagal dito sa last summit kasi nagparamdam na naman yung ulan. Nag-snacks lang ng konti, pahinga, tapos laban na ulit.

*Akala ko mae-enjoy ko na yung descent pabalik ng jump off. Puro talahib pa rin pala jusq. Umay talaga. 😤

We arrived at the jump off by 7pm. Tinapos ang Cawag Hexa in 17 hours. Pinilit madaliin pabalik para di abutan ng dilim at ulan sa damuhan hahahaha.

Still amazed with my ankle mobility kasi naka-ilang tapilok at dulas ako pababa pero dedma lang hahaha. Hindi naman ako na-injure hehehe.

So that's it. I'm keeping a lot of core memories from this hike 💖

Akala ko ang tipid ko last month kasi mas mababa yung binayaran ko sa credit card kesa nung mga nakaraang buwan. Tapos nung chineck ko yung bank statement ko, may dalawang refund nga pala ako nun. Hahaha akala ko nagbagong buhay na ako nang hindi ko namamalayan 🤣
