....time to expand on thunderclan's mildly outdated, and very shunned by the other clans' tradition. (for everyone that's new here it's child brides as incest prevention.) ...at least in regards to flaming wishes.

(once again, i'd like to recommend that people block the tag ❀ flaming wishes ❀ for their comfort. it's probably going to be filled with darker themes than most warrior cats content will go into and frankly it's a wip and i have no idea what i'll stuff into it yet. this is just a courtesy warning cause i don't know where this fucking ride's going.)

if a leader wants to instate arranged matehoods, it's heavily recommended they lead by example and take an arranged mate themselves. this can be done at any point in a leader's reign, but an arranged mate has to be a cat that no one has seen the leader spend much time with. naturally, this typically results in cats who are born during the leader's reign.

from seedstar (two leaders before oakstar) all the way to sunstar (for canon compliance), we know for certain that thunderclan leaders instated this tradition. there's a handful of cats who can be traced back to these leaders, which gives them a surprising amount of influence in the clan.

after the mapleshade incident, families are tracked through mothers, though leaderkin is tracked differently.

littlestep's mother, deerdapple, is the daughter of tinysong, the daughter of seedstar. (how my family tree pans out has littlestep as the father of willow-, spotted-, red- so they're reasonably influential kitties. willow's kits won't have the influence of seedstar's lineage as a great-great-great-great grandparent isn't worth remembering.

additionally, leopardfoot's mother swiftbreeze is hollypelt's -- from deerdapple's first litter -- daughter. this technically gives tigerclaw two different leader lineages, but he's too far descended from seedstar for it to matter.

speckletail's and whitefern's (one-eye's) mother, raindapple (the rainfur in goosefeather's curse) was thrushtalon (hit with the lady beam), daughter of owlstar. this makes goldenflower, lionheart, mousefur, runningwind, and dustbreeze pretty influential.

the simplest one is one that canon's already sorted out for us! oakstar's the father of pinestar, who's the father of tigerclaw! granted... pinestar fucking off has completely tanked tiger's and leopardfoot's reputations, to the point where tiger has tried to completely ignore his father's existence and try and coast off of oakstar's existence. this fails for the mapleshade incident.

weedwhisker is doestar's son! doestar, who kept getting unlucky with her chosen mate dying during her short leadership (starclan was very pissed with the whole mapleshade thing and refused to give her nine lives) got desperate and chose both heronwing and rabbitstep, poppydawn's littermates. neither one really claimed parentage over weedkit, but thunderclan knows it was one of them.

frostfur and brindleface are weedwhisker's kits!

longtail is sunstar's son! sunstar died before longkit was apprenticed, but because he's a leader's son, that makes him extra important! his sister, cherrybranch, is also important, but she wasn't spoiled nearly as much as longkit.

...as for thistlestar's legacy, well everyone knows whitestorm is his from a previous mateship, but for some reason the older cats don't question it when thistlestar arranges mateships for his acquired clanmates...

Tinykit is the most childlike and hyper of her sisters. And acts like a foolish sibling to Crouchpaw and ravenfall. She is noisy, outgoing, and playful, whereas ravenfall is sensible, introspective, and serious.

leadership changes that happen:

ThunderClan: redstar dies, leafstorm steps down and lets eagleheart take her place back. eagleheart tries to make applestrike deputy, but she refuses. i think maybe icefang could be deputy, shes been established as super cool and talented. i think eagleheart would value having someone older than her to help her lead

SkyClan: doesnt have any changes due to the war other than tigerstar losing a life or two at some point

WindClan: meadowmist dies. willowstar is missing and buzzardthroat is dead. hollyfang is not trusted as a temporary leader because he was meadowmists apprentice. they start searching for willowstar, and i dont think theyll find him. i dont know how the decision will be made but i want snowfern to become leader, with pebblespots as deputy. they also need a new healer once hollyfang leaves. thrushleaf takes his place until she can train an apprentice, who i think will be one of briarstripe or lupineclaws kits.

RiverClan: doesnt have leadership changes due to the war, but i intend to make tinysong become deputy under owlstar

ShadowClan: cloverstar was killed and brightclaw was driven out when ThunderClan invaded. they could search for brightclaw while the healer oakfoot takes her place temporarily? if i need to replace her I'll do darkstrike with beetlenose as her deputy.

this is just me brainstorming publicly but have fun reading a bunch of warrior names with little to no context

And so is all my music posts since I never downloaded or uploaded music on the net and used GROOVESHARK as a stream source that up to yesterday I thought they had some kind of agreement with the copyright owners, but seems they didn’t. Anyway, guess I will have to move on and find an alternative to keep up with my humble but resilient Tumblr. Wish all the best to Grooveshark team.
