To me, interior design is about both the big picture and the small details. Of course, a good quality sofa, bed, or table can make or break a room. Yet small details are just as important! In 2020, we began renovating the century-old tiny home into a modern loft hotel as a passion project. Our intention was to allow guests to feel the tranquility that comes with such a quaint village as Winchester, ON. During the design process, choosing a colour palette was one of the most exciting parts. Just like scents and textures, colours carry specific feelings and sentiments in a home or any space. As you may notice, we chose a lot of bright soft whites and blue tones in the loft, with gold as a delicate yet lively accent. Of course, colours were but one of the many special touches we focused on when designing the Lofty Nest.
