A lil sketch that got a bit more complex than intended. This is for my secondary blog @runaway-inspirer where I pretend I'm a bard. The queue of shirts is longer than it should due to minor illusion.

If I could draw, I would draw my Tav, who is a gnome illusion wizard, (only because the vanilla game had no option to make an extra small goblin like she was in the dnd campaign where I first played her) playing around with enlarge/reduce.

Specifically; reducing Halsin, and when he's still taller at 3.5 ft, enlarging herself to a whole 4 ft and being the big spoon for once.

And then doing it the other way; making him 14 ft tall and her about 1 ft, and being cradled ever so gently in his hands.

But I can't, so the image has to stay in my head. Tragic

Down the parsed dialogue rabbit hole again, this time looking at Ethel's Vicious Mockery lines for all the characters, and goddamn, they are brutal.

HALF-ELF I wonder which parent regrets you more, half-breed. How revolting. Another thin-blooded mongrel. Half-elf. Half-human. All useless.

HALF-ELF (DROW) Even the Underdark doesn't want you, half-breed. A half-drow? How grotesque. Surprised you show yourself in public, abomination.

HALF-ORC Come now, tusks-for-brains! Doesn't this make you angry? All that bloodlust. A little tap, and I bet you won't know friend from foe! Lumbering half-orc. Twice as ugly as your parents combined!

HALFLING Come closer, little softie. You'll be tender. A tiny, sweet morsel. Just for me.

HUMAN Another human rat infesting Faerûn. A human! So desperate to be special. Pity. That tadpole actually made you interesting.

Tbh how would Gale accommodate gnome/halfling Tav in his tower? Some stools, magic? My brain is not braining this and if you're feeling like that you may give this idea a shot?

Summary: I absolutely love this idea! Sorry it took so long to get this out to you! No need to be nervous, you are welcomed and loved here! 💜 I did this in the form of headcanons if that’s okay!

Gale honestly forgets you’re so short. Sure he kneels to kiss you all the time, but it became second nature so fast it slips his mind. He is smart but also kinda dumb.

During your travels to Waterdeep he helps you into a tall barstool and then it hit him. Shit, your tiny and his tower is not built for tiny. But don’t worry he is already planning on how to fix it.

I think Gale is rather a tall guy. Probably 6’0. Idc if canon says something else this is my blog. >:) so everything in his tower was built for his lanky ass, but magic can fix that!

Of course he has stools crafted and placed all around the tower for you so that you can reach onto shelves. All the stools were custom designed because his extra like that. They have romantic patterns with swirls and hearts, or your names, etc. you get the picture.

Downside to the stools. Our beloved wizard forgets about the stools and trips over them ALL THE TIME. Has so many bruises from times he just randomly toppled over a stool. Tara gave up trying to warn him cause he just keeps doing it.

Gale also is no stranger to using magic to fix problems. Suddenly the floor boards can move on their own, lifting you up to reach whatever book you were tying to grab! It’s almost scary how sentient the floor boards seem.

He also wants to teach you magic, or at least mage hand so you can grab stuff when he isn’t around or if you want to be independent.

Plz let him help. He saw you struggling for a book in the study and he is on his feet in a second, standing and ready to help. Gale understands if you want to do it yourself, but he just loves doing anything and everything for you. When you ask for help he proudly gets whatever you need, chest puffed as he kneels down to steal a kiss.

Gods forbid you try climb onto the counter, this man will STRESS. He’s borderline motherly “Well, what if you fall and crack your head open?!” But it also isn’t him who worries for you, Tara does as well. She will use her ability to fly to help you grab things off high shelves, and then give you the longest lecture if you climb on multiple things to try and reach it yourself.

Gale’s bed wasn’t too high of the ground, but he still had mini steps made to make it easier for you. (Tara also used them lol)

I can’t stop thinking about it a halfling or gnome Tav would be too small for the toilet in his tower and I’m fucking dead.

He also uses his magic to create portals from different floors. The tower has so many stairs and he doesn’t want to tire yourself out.
