may we have some wisdom on layering scents ?

yes of course, I have some tips, lemme do my best🙂‍↕️

- if it’s scent longevity you’re after, using oil based perfumes or using an oil first, then spraying a scent over it, works well

- hydrating bases are essential! your perfume wont last as long if it’s sprayed on dry skin. ik a lot of my fellow perfume girlies who also use a thin layer of vaseline before spraying

- unscented lotions are a good way to ensure this but also if you have a scented lotion that aligns with the perfume you wanna wear, combine them!

- for edp’s and edt’s btw i wouldn’t recommend layering for an extrait de parfum just bc its already oil heavy and theres the possibility of staining, scent manipulation etc etc.

- i would avoid layering with super complex perfumes…these usually stand well on their own

- but! if there’s a note you rlly wanna amplify, pair a complex perfume with a very simple, 2-3 note max one, just so it doesn’t complicate things

something I’m always referring to is that fragrance wheel! literally sooo helpful when it comes to categorizing scents and deciding on combos. I like these two but when you google it, plenty more show up

- example: if you’re looking at the wheel and you want a floral scent, look at the scents under floral, see its subcategories, then layer at your interest

- it’s really up to preference and based on what scents you wanna combine. what works well with what is definitely subjective and some combos I like, others may dislike and vice versa

- experimenting never hurt either!! doing lil scent tests on those paper testers is a good start but you’ll get the best results if you test on skin and see how the notes interact and react over time

- If you want something more complex, choose opposite sides of the wheel with the scents you like the most

- pay attention to notes and where they’re located (top, heart, base) so you know what’s gonna be strongest and how each scent compares with the other

- the more you pay attention to notes and to the combos the perfumers do for certain scents, you’ll see what works best with what and start making your own guesses and experimenting your own concoctions

- a great way to start is to combine perfumes that have notes in common…it’s all based experience, on trial and error, the performance of the perfumes, and body chemistry ofc!

- I don’t always layer just bc I like to experience the scent as it was created butttt combos I’ve used and rlly liked are: Nest Indigo with Gucci Memoir OR Silver Al-Rehab. turned out super fresh and clean with a lil earthiness too it..love! I was my go to during spring/summer

- Chai Épicé by Le Monde Gourmand with Milk by Commodity. I usually don’t layer gourmands but I took a risk with this just bc I kept thinking…hm chai and milk…that should be cute? and it was!🤭 the note descriptions on here for chai are throwing me tho (proof that you need more sources that fragrantica!) but yeah i got a spicy-sweet, warm, creamy, woody finish from this and I loved it!

What kind of home would u and gojo have?

WHAT A SWEET QUESTION ANON no because i was thinking about this the other day…..

this is more general thoughts on gojo as a character but !! i truly do see him as someone who yearns for soft domesticity and a sense of belonging / home above all else :’3 and i think a lot of his loneliness stems from the fact that he can’t really have it, either because he’s travelling all the time or because he doesn’t allow himself to feel loved by others in the way he needs.

with the weight of the world on his shoulders, he just isn’t really allowed to have a home, even if he has a big luxurious apartment all to himself… and obviously the tragedy is that he wants the former. i’ve read some fics where gojo moves into his s/o’s much smaller apartment because he doesn’t care about the actual place, as long as it feels homey, and as long as he gets to share it with someone he loves :((( if anything i think he might even prefer a smaller apartment, maybe a little cramped, because it comes with a slice of normalcy that he otherwise can’t have….

idk i really do just see gojo as a big softie who gets sappy when you’re napping on his chest after eating take-out and binging five different kdramas on your uncomfortable couch <33 it makes him feel human!!!

all this just to say that i’m literally exactly like gojo when it comes to this question and we would 100% live in a small messy apartment and exclusively eat sweets, take-out & slightly burnt food <3333 the dream honestly
