I believe this isn't paywalled, since I read it on my phone. (Or it depends on the browser? Firefox Focus, check. Safari with no adblocker, check. Firefox in private browsing mode with ublock origin, sadness.)
Scroll about halfway down to the picture of the little wax figures.
How is André's hat staying on?!
Also, Tallmadge's face is passable, André looks about fifty, and I don't know what's going on with Simcoe but his face is very disturbing. We'll give them Sally and Robert Townsend since I don't think there are good pictures of either of them, though Robert's face looks like a sculpture of Chris Kattan by someone who isn't very good at sculpting. (Now mentally replace Robert Townsend in every scene in Turn with Mango.) Also I don't know what's going on with André's right hand, but typically I think it is the left hand that goes on the neck of the air guitar.
Also please note the visible bulges in Tallmadge's, Simcoe's, and André's breeches. (And possibly Townsend's, but it's harder to tell.....Uh, pun not intended.)
At least André's uniform is the right colors though. And that's probably about the correct height difference between him and Tallmadge.

[personal rambles, feel free to skip:]
so in the last six months:
struggled to find a place to live before my lease expired, thought i might have to move back with toxic family or relatives i don't know in a city i don't like
found a place and moved two weeks before deadline with lots of stress
couldn't connect internet for two months & missed entire GW2 LNY festival (my favourite festival)
troubles with details about moving & feel my new landlord already doesn't like me and feel i shouldn't let her know my heater-a/c system isn't heating properly, which is bad because it's winter now
struggling to de-stress after moving hell ≧ ﹏ ≦
15 y.o. cat is sick and needs vet or possibly to be put out of her misery, but cat is my best friend and i haven't been able to make the appointment yet (┬┬﹏┬┬)
anxiety is at all-time high making sleeping through the night impossible and anxiety/sleep-deprivation is causing weight loss that is hard to manage & trichotillomania (sp?) is horrendous right now
thinking of making a cat side blog to share pics of my beloved kitties and maybe be less stressed a little ಥ_ಥ
trying to do more gw2 & post screenshots to beat back depression apathy with a stick
so, me rn:
Tumblr media
i will post cat updates if anyone wants after the vet appt. i will post more screenshots as i take them and reblog what i see. (i am not following a lot of gw2 people so i will look for more to follow & reblog.) i am almost finished aurene's fang which will make me happy, also working on story returns & other semi-abandoned legendary projects, including spear collection because land spears??👀

@neroushalvaus tagged me to answer some questions!
Three ships: Titanic and Vasa, forever and always... aaaand let's say the HMS St. George, because I've been thinking about the Strandningsmuseet in Denmark lately. It's such a cool place: a world-class shipwreck museum situated in a tiny village of about 300 people, right next to the coast where the ship was wrecked. I want to go back!
Also, because I like many ships, a bonus shout-out to the MS Kronprinsesse Märtha, whom I wish will make a comeback as a hotel ship one day. I miss her lots.
First ever ship: Vasa.
In the other sense of the word, I've never been much of a shipper, so I don't really know what counts here. I want to say something from Corpse Bride because it was the first fandom I was ever involved with online, but I can't remember taking any strong stance – like, Emily/Victor was more fun, but Victoria/Victor was cute and clearly meant to be, so how could you pick one over the other. Maybe Rose and Jack from Titanic – though I was always more passionate about the, uh, other sort of ship central to the story, I do remember reading some fic about them back in the day.
Last song: Belle from Notre Dame de Paris version integrale 2017. This album is my go-to whenever I want to listen to NDdP because it's the only full version of the show I own on CD.
Last film: I really haven't felt like watching films lately.
Currently reading: The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow. I've been working my way through the local library's collection of published Jane Austen fanfiction ever since I finished reading Austen's novels last year.
Currently consuming: Fredsted caramel chai latte, so much of it that my teeth will probably melt away entirely before it's time for my next dental appointment.
Currently craving: Nothing, for I have a cup of caramel chai latte here with me <3
Thanks for the tag! Not forwarding this time.

Happy storyteller Saturday (glad we’re bringing this back)! Your characters go to the county fair! What do they eat? What rides do they go on? Who gets so into petting goats they forget to even look at rides? Who wins a questionable number of clearly rigged games? Who gets their face painted? Who overhauls their entire aesthetic based on booths of scarves and accessories? Who finds something hyperspecific to learn about while the others tap their feet impatiently? Etc.
(that last one is based on me going to the county fair and becoming so engrossed in a local history lecture at the museum exhibit I did not even go check out the rides)
Happy STS Moshke! What a fun question!
I feel like the Twins are big fans of the rides and food trucks, they take turns waiting in the lines and babysitting their other siblings, switching whenever they're bored of one task and feel like tagging in for the other. Like Marco loves spinny rides but hates waiting in line for them, Matteo isn't a fan of the spinning but doesn't mind the wait, so they switch when he gets to the front of the line. Meanwhile, Marco gets funnel cake as a favor so when Matteo switches out, Marco can go in his ride, and Matteo can have a treat! They've really hacked the system.
Tess is Extremely Intimidated by all the hubbub and Hannah hates crowds with a visceral passion, so the two of them gladly hang out at the petting zoo.
Quercu would win all the rigged carnival games. She's been sneaking into human fairs for 200 years and she knows all the tricks. She won't keep the prizes though and passes them off to the kids in line who don't have her kind of faerie luck.
Cecelia gets her face painted so that nobody questions when she uses her glamours, just a tiny bit. It looks a little too hyperrealistic, but no adults are looking that closely.
Lady Brigid would enjoy seeing the crafters, though I don't know if she'd completely overhaul her aesthetic (she is supposed to be based on a nun) but she would like to support the arts, so she'd buy a few pieces as gifts for the girls! I also imagine Mrs. Tegan might run a stand like this. In my imagination, she has a large craft room and runs a fairly successful small business out of her home. Cecelia might help her stock inventory and run the table.
If Hannah ever left the petting zoo, she'd get lost at the farm show exhibit with all the heirloom varieties of vegetables and apples, and the panels on local agriculture. She's a huge plant nerd and learning how to yield a successful harvest would interest her. Her dad would find her talking the ear off a gaggle of old-timers and she'd leave with an internship or something sldjsflkjds.
Thanks for the ask!

Dr. Robotnik x Child! Reader x Agent Stone
Nature and Nurture
Tumblr media
Note: idk why but that one guy who yelled @ me for not specifying that Larry x Child! Reader was platonic keeps popping into my head. Get fucked.
Ivo's kinda autism coded (canon typical) and Agent Stone is a Decent Man (kind & stupid)
Got kinda long 🙃 2 dads, lessgo
-----
Ivo Robotnik is a narcissistic jerk
He cares more about being the smartest person in the room than the lives of those he's outcompeting
Still..
I don't think he'd be a "bad" dad
Ofc he knows how kids are made, how to hold them, bathe them, feed, and generally care for
But he's not an emotional parent by any stretch
He'll try, because you're his! You have so much potential, just because HE'S your father!
Taking you to museums and expos so you can learn while outside of the house
Teaching you as many big words as he can, because extension of vocabulary is VERY good for intellectual growth!
Having any day he wants be "take your kid to work" day so that you can see exactly what your father does, how great he is at it, and what you'll be expected to do..
Seeing a pattern?
He doesn't explicitly believe that nature is a more prominent tool than nurture, but he's trying to raise you to be a mini him
He has high expectations for you, and ofc he'll be disappointed if you can't keep up
And with him being primary caregiver, there's no way you'll grow up with a healthy self-image, or your emotional needs being met.
Still, all of your physical and medical needs are being met, so only the social/emotional aspects of your childhood are being ruined!
Enter Agent Stone
He sees what's going on and resolves to fix it for the good of you, Robotnik, and his own moral conscience
Encourages the doctor to take you to the park, or movies, or, well.. anything that's not *just* math or science related
Your father agrees..
The first few times
Unfortunately, he truly is a busy man with a difficult job (to any lesser man, ofc)
So Stone offers to take you himself.
---
Doctor Robotnik glanced up as the door opened, a quiet laugh meeting his ears. Brow furrowing, he went to investigate..
As he rounded the door into the entrance hallway, he was met with a curious sight, at least to him. His little lab partner, laughing as Agent Stone followed them through the doorway. Stone's hands were occupied with bags printed "THANK YOU" as many smaller businesses have, and Tiny Robotnik kept a tight hold on the man's pant leg, as though trying to pull him into the hall.
"-And then they started making pictures!"
"I know!" Stone's voice was airier than usual, as many adults' seem to be when talking to excited children. "You know, your dad works with laser-produced images all the time."
"Yeah.." (Y/n) stuck their bottom lip out, pouting. "But he only uses them for work! They made stars and planets and animals! Not just.. numbers."
Robotnik frowned slightly. Were they really that impressed with a laser light show? His child had seen what he worked with on the day-to-day, and not to toot his own horn, but his designs were far more functional than any of those moving pictures on the sides of old buildings.
"Doctor?"
He looked up from his thoughts, eyes meeting Stone's. (Y/n) hadn't seemed to notice him until this point, jumping ever so slightly as you turned to grin up at him.
"Papa!"
"Little one!" He picked them up, a smile pulling at the sides of his lips. "Did you enjoy yourself with Agent Stone?"
"Mhhm! We watched the light show, then went and got dinner!"
"Local grocery had a nice selection of hot foods, pick and choose."
Little (Y/n) grinned, turning to flash a smile at the Agent as well. Robotnik chuckled quietly, pulling their attention back to himself.
"Well, I'm glad you had fun. Now, go get yourself cleaned up and into bed, okay?"
Their smile fell slightly. Disappointment, he presumed, quickly flicking the thought out of his mind.
"Okay.."
(Y/n) turned back to Stone. "Night-night, Mister Stone." Back to your father. "Night-night, Papa." And turned to another door, little feet patting on the hardwood floor.
"Goodnight, little one."
A few moments passed as both men watched the child turn the corner, then the door clicked shut. It barely took another heartbeat before Robotnik turned to Stone.
"How are you so good with them?"
The agent turned quickly, brow furrowing.
"What do you mean, Doctor?"
"Little (Y/n). They smile and laugh whenever they're with you.. I haven't seen them laugh like that in a while."
A few beats passed between the two men before Stone chuckled.
"They're human, Doctor. Even though (Y/n) is yours, they're a completely different, unique person from yourself.. even if they have your intellect -"
"They do."
"- They may not necessarily want to get into the sciences like you did. What if they're a lawyer, or teacher, or writer? What if they're an artist or actor? What happens if they don't choose any career at all, and decide they want to live in the woods and play survivalist for the rest of their life?"
Robotnik blanked.
Then he blinked.
"I... Being unsuccessful is completely out of the question!"
"Who defines success?"
"Who.. what?"
Stone took a tentative step closer to the doctor.
"What if their version of success is different from yours?"
He blinked again, heavily, finding it difficult for once in his life to think.
Sighing quietly, he let his eyes meet Stone's again.
"What should I do? To ensure their success.. to ensure their version of success is met?"
Agent Stone smiled gently.
"You nurture them, Doctor."
-----
WOW this got long! I love Stobotnik already (FINALLY watched movie 1), and I kinda feel this could lead to some of That™. Reqs open, sorry I'm not answering any verr fast but I'm tired & finally finished finals. Love y'all, Ciao!

2018 VoicePlay summer activities — projects, planning, and the Philippines
Summer is often a time for fun and relaxation. For the VoicePlay guys, the summer of 2018 was largely a time of planning, rehearsing, and pursuing some individual projects. Though they did also do some significant travel.
.
Following a comfortably busy spring, they took the beginning of July as a time to rest a bit and work on other things.
Tumblr media
"You're not going to start chasing me like Eli does, are you?"
.
J.None spent the Fourth performing with Paradigm at a local event, before zipping up to Virginia for his aunt's wedding.
instagram
J.None sings "Why I Love You" by Major. at his aunt's wedding reception.
.
When the weekend rolled around, the PattyCake guys took over a grocery store in a nearby town for an overnight video shoot with the ladies of 4Eva29 and a group of dad friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
All aboard
The second week of July began with a flight to Puerto Rico so VoicePlay could board the Disney Fantasy and perform on the last third of its trip back to Florida.
When they were ashore once more, they released their epic Panic! at the Disco two-parter, which received a flood of attention. They then spent the rest of the month preparing for the coming months.
instagram
.
Up, up, and away
August kicked off with a trip up to the northeast, returning to New Jersey, where they'd received a warm reception the previous winter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
photos by Duane Smith and Leon King
Leon also posted a few short clips to his Instagram.
.
On your marks…
A week later, they convened at Rayne's Room to film three short music videos geared toward social media that they could release over the following weeks, as well as a promotional video for their upcoming concert with Rachel Potter in the Philippines.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Recording all of that in one sitting was apparently a little rough on their bass man, though.
instagram

.
Get set…
The first item from that marathon session they released was, of course, the announcement of their concert in Manila.
instagram
Tumblr media
.
Go!!!
A few days later, they boarded their flight to The Philippines. Once they arrived, they had a little time to get acclimated, so they decided to visit The Dessert Museum and sample some local sweets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
The show itself went swimmingly, and the crowd had a grand time singing along with some of their best tunes. The only hitch was Geoff having to tough it out with a minor case of food poisoning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
The next day was the party with their hosts. They gave the tiny birthday girl a private preview backstage. (Scroll to the third slide.)
instagram
instagram
Carrot shenanigans will continue indefinitely.
.
The trip happened to coincide with Eli's birthday as well, so their hotel surprised him with a tasty treat for the occasion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the food might not have agreed with Geoff, but Earl clearly enjoyed himself more and found a new favorite dish.
After just a few days on the other side of the world, it was time to head home.
.
And for our next trick…
While the rest of VoicePlay recuperated from their globetrotting, Layne and Tony announced upcoming auditions for PattyCake's second scripted series, The Princess Academy.
.
Once they were well rested, VoicePlay hit the road again to kick off the main stage performances at the Woodstock Fair in Conncecticut. They were in a double header with Lee Rocker from the Stray Cats.

post show silliness // travel advice
.
As the rest of the guys spent some more time at home, J.None headed over to Dallas to visit with friends. He even happened across a bonus pal from high school.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he got back to Orlando, J was greeted in a brotherly fashion (by his fellow mischievous middle child Layne, of course).
instagram
.
Just a few months after VoicePlay had hit 300K subscribers on YouTube, they celebrated gaining twice as many followers on Facebook.
Tumblr media
.
Here, there, and everywhere
Since they weren't returning to Disney World for the holiday season, the guys announced a much more reasonable tour schedule for the end of the year.
Tumblr media
.
As the month hurtled toward its end, Layne and Tony gathered a cadre of their favorite Disney antagonists to film the first episode of their new Villains Lair series.
.
A couple days later, VoicePlay hopped up to Little Rock for the ACANSA Arts Festival at the University of Arkansas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
Over the ensuing weekend, J.None made another trip up to Virginia. In addition to visiting family, he also fit in a video shoot with his longtime friend Najee for their song "Dues".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
Everybody scream!
VoicePlay closed out the summer by preparing for their favorite time of year with an elaborate music video shoot. After two long days of props, prosthetics, silliness, snacks, and hard work, the boys had the makings of a fantastic visual tale to accompany their wonderful singing.

pass the happy!🌻 when you receive this, list 5 things that make you happy and send this to 10 of the last people in your notifications!
My girlfriend--though she's visiting family in another country right now. I try not to brag about her too much but she really is amazing, not just because she's beautiful but because we have a very similar sense of humour, she genuinely likes the "weirder" things about me, and it is very endearing when she turns into some kind of walking encyclopedia of classic film at the slightest prompting (she has multiple films completely memorised and I'm more than a little in awe).
Fencing. Been getting back into it over the past few months in particular, after a few years of not doing it so much, and it's a lot of fun.
Music--of various genres, but if we're talking the most "make me happy" stuff I'd think of a song like...maybe I Am The Fire by Halestorm, or Faster by Within Temptation...
My fandoms. Not necessarily...going into the fandom tags...but the actual canon itself, writing and making art for them, and getting to discuss them with other people who love them.
Just...trying new things whether that's watching a film or reading a book that I hadn't before, or learning something new (been learning chess recently--technically I learned the rules as a kid but now I'm trying to actually get good at it and learn openings and actual strategy) or a new food or drink (this year I've discovered pandan ice cream, and had Turkish coffee for the first time), or the time me and my girlfriend decided to head down some tiny little corridor I'm not sure visitors are actually meant to go down in a local museum (that we'd both been to before and didn't think there'd be much new to see at) kind of expecting to just end up in a cupboard or something and instead found ourselves faced with an extremely creepy painting of...some kind of disturbing-looking, only vaguely humanoid entity staring down at us.
...that last one went places. Well, you get what I mean. Explore. Discover things. Find creepy paintings! you never know what might happen.

This is inspired by my mum watching lile a million and one movie24 Christmas movies and would like to preface I've never actually watched one all the way through, but I know the basics.
City girl, she's a romance author, goes back to her hometown for Christmas. She has not seen her parents or childhood community since she left at age 18, she's now 27 and is now Angie, not John.
Very nervous she stays in one of the local motels (that's the thing right? Like a tiny hotel on the side of a motorway/highway but they can be cheap inner city/town things just believe) and tried to find a way to get in contact with her parents, not expose herself to people she doesn't want to know the new her AND find inspiration for that Christmas getaway rom com her publisher JUST KNOWS will be her next best seller.
Being a purveyor of Hallmark movies she sees if there's a local Christmas project, it's ran by her parents she immediately strikes it off the list. The bakeries, her (embarrassing) childhood crush works there now, she's not looking to work through that so she strikes it off the list.
Animal shelter, Christmas fate, the local lumberjacks she tries every trope!
And then walks face first into the old grandpa who runs the blacksmiths. She doesn't know why the town still has one, she doesn't really know anyone that orders from him but apparently reanactors and museums do so he has work-
He's married though so not a meet cute. She used to spend her says at his forge trying to learn to "toughen up". He's her old best friends grandfather and treated her much the same. He was the first person to get her makeup and realise that oh, she wasn't trying to be a man she wasn't one.
She also hasn't seen him in years.
He recognises her almost instantly. On the street. A crowded street. He says her name, loudly. People are staring.
She ends up being his great niece by the end of the conversation. No one is any the wiser. She thinks.
Anyway, she visits him and he insists she takes her best friends old room, and wow its nice, it's fun and she's actually getting treated like a member of the family. Her new great aunt, who also recognises her somehow, immediately plays along and she ends up accidentally with a whole three pages of her work notebook being taken up with her new backstory.
As she continues to try and get inspiration she's pulled away from her work by her great aunt and uncle not intentionally mind you. They're just... existing.
(GU = great uncle // GA = great aunt)
She gets up to make a cup of tea and go back to writing and paused and waits until they've finished their slow dance in the kitchen, not wanting to disturb them. She walks in after helping her GU move some stuff about in the forge since the misses has atheritis and can't help much anymore, and bared witness to the utter adoration they share for each other as her GA starts chastising her GU for 'pulling her from her work, you'd think he'd understand how hard getting an ides right is.' She sees how when her parents come round to ask for their help in the festivities her GU looks his wife in the eyes and asks her to keep the spoons in the draws because he knows she wants to hit HER ma and pa if they don't recognise her (and she doesn't want them to, really she doesnt) but that's only going to make things worse. And how her GA bristles not for being told off preemptively but because her husband knows her too well.
She sees these two people so in love and just happy and every meet cute she writes in comparison is just tragically boring and lacklustre in comparison.
Her parents don't recognise her, it hurts but it's also for the best. At the Christmas light switch on - the last day of her trip before she heads off tomorrow as per the genres traditions- some random guy she kept bumping into at a coffee shop confeses he's missed her for the longest time, and he knows they haven't seen each other in years but would she just give him a chance to be friends again
It is the best friend.
Apparently Angie is not the only one to have a massive change. The friend had been under the impression they had in fact you know TOLD Angie- he had not. He hadn't realised by fate both he and Angie had changed their numbers at the same time so neither or their texts about their changes went through and both thought the other just didn't want to talk anymore.
His grandfather had been keeping him updated on the fact his best friend was back in town. The meetings in the coffee shop were him trying to reconnect thinking Angie really was ignoring him, hence the desperate last ditch attempt at the lights.
Angue obviously says yes, we can be friends again.
She goes back to her big city, new York, Chicago they're all the same in these movies and goes on to wrote a book about two grandparents falling in love with each other over and over again during the Christmas period.
The last shot of the film is Angie and her friend giggling childishly over a picture of his grandparents in reindeer antlers as the two lived together platonically or romantically in queer platonically nobody really knows. But they're happy.

THE INTRODUCTION
(death tw, loss tw, grief tw)
Maisie Inez Espinosa was born a local to Providence Peak, the fourth in line after three brothers born prior to her, her very own cavalry ready to ride into any battle and wage any war for her. That backing she needed very little of, even though tiny as she was, Maisie was scrappy and insisted that she could fight with the best of them, often insisting on wrestling her brothers for fun and often not folding until she won, whether that meant they gave in or more often the case, their parents scolding them for the mock violence they inflicted on each other. Despite being born at the tail’s end of winter, she thrived in the springtime that gave way to new life and new opportunities.
New opportunities seemed to be the theme in her life as she found herself growing up and navigating a world that wasn’t built with her in mind. A world that she didn’t just navigate with the bare minimum, but set out to change and prove wrong with everything that she did. It didn’t hurt that she had the help of her second oldest brother who, struggling just as she was, had already paved the way before she was born and despite their parents leaning toward the stricter side of parenting, they did everything they could to make sure their children were set up to be successful in life, even if society thought that being born deaf should have led to failure for Maisie.
Failure was the last thing on her mind as she worked her way through school and college falling more in love with the idea of space each day, just as she had with the planetarium she’d spent days in as a child in the local science museum in Providence Peak, and eventually graduated with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, leaving Colorado and her family behind for the first time as she scored her dream job with NASA’s Aerospace department in Washington D.C., slowly working her way toward the stars. She was nothing short of a genius (okay, maybe a little more humble than that), but all it seemed to take was a soft look and a smile from someone at a coffee shop for her to realize that maybe the only stars in the world weren’t those that existed in space.
And for awhile, Maisie allowed herself to fall, building a whole galaxy with the person who seemed to hang stars on Earth just for her and it was good. But just like all good things, this too eventually came to an end. Her job with NASA became more demanding until she was rarely seeing the outside of their headquarters, leaving for work before dawn and sometimes not getting home until the last metro ran for the night, barely crawling into bed before she had to wake up and do it all over again. She was married to her career and it took a toll on her relationship. The stars began dimming until they all faded and all she was left with was an empty apartment and, for the first time in her life, too much space.
Paired with the untimely death of her remaining parent, Maisie decided to make the decision to leave her job in Washington D.C. and move back to Providence Peak to be closer to her family, her third brother who she was always closest to, and her nephews, not wanting to destine herself to an empty life that revolved only around work. Even though she gave up her dream job, she still found satisfaction in teaching aerospace engineering at Providence Peak University and fostering the next generation of space explorers. Ultimately thankful that she’d moved back when she did so she could be there for her nephews when her brother and his wife lost their lives in an accident, a loss she is still navigating her way through as she offers whatever help she can to, Nari Yang, the woman who stepped up to raise their shared nephews in the wake of the unforeseen tragedy.
THE HEADCANONS
Loves space more than Earth and was often jokingly told to get her head out of space by her father. She can often be found at the Planetarium at the Wonderwell Science Center and absolutely takes her classes on field trips there.
She has three older brothers, the oldest of which being roughly 55 years old and the younger of the three was around 43. Although her middle brother was the one who shared in being deaf and taught Maisie how to utilize the world around her to her advantage, she was always closest with her youngest brother and is still working her way through grieving the loss of him.
Maisie has a cat named Constellation and jokes that he’s the biggest ‘Con’ artist she’s ever met because he’ll stop at nothing to steal a bite of every meal she has.
Gender is usually an afterthought for Maisie and she happily accepts she/her or they/them as her pronouns on any given day.
Though she does primarily use ASL to communicate, she doesn’t expect everyone to be fluent in the language and therefore always has a tiny lil notebook in her pocket and a pencil behind her ear to communicate or just utilizes an app on her phone. When the opportunity arises, she will always take the time to teach someone a sign or two during their conversation.

List of Famous Singapore Tourist Attractions
What was once a fishing port and harbour during the British colonial era is now one of the world's cleanest and classiest global destinations. Singapore may appear to be a tiny speck on a world map, but a single visit will guarantee you an array of mind-blowing experiences to explore. When you return, you will have new ways to describe Singapore other than by name. You may find yourself calling it the cleanest city you have ever been to, a city within a garden, a place where walking is fun, or even the term "Fine City," pun intended! Singapore is a must-visit destination for anyone with a wanderlust. If you have travel plans to Singapore soon, you absolutely must visit these Singapore tourist attractions there.
Gardens by the Bay
Tumblr media
Singapore's Gardens by the Bay is a lush natural paradise in the middle of modern wonders along the Marina Bay waterfront. Visit and admire the impressive Supertree Groves and their vibrant floral vertical gardens. Take in the 101-hectare nature park's over 400,000 plant species while strolling through it, and be sure to stop to see the Flower Dome, Skyway, and the captivating Garden Rhapsody light show at night. At the Cloud Forest Conservatory, you can view the tallest indoor waterfall in the world.
Singapore Botanical Gardens
Tumblr media
One of Singapore's most ancient, thriving natural spots, the botanical garden is another fantastic attraction to catch up with green nature. The attraction is over 160 years old, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is also free of charge to visit. However, there are entry charges at other attractions within the Singapore Botanical Garden, such as the National Orchid Garden, which has the world's largest colorful displays of orchid blossoms! It is just next to Orchard Road, so once you have your fill of nature, you can return to the modern world to dine, shop and be merry!
Orchard Road
Tumblr media
Singapore's best dining and shopping venues can be found along this stretch. It is best known for its opulent, high-end malls and vibrant nightlife. Shoppers can visit malls like ION Orchard, Mandarin Gallery, and Paragon for retail therapy. But in addition to dining and shopping, the vicinity also gives visitors a glimpse into Singapore's history through prominent attractions like the National Museum of Singapore, Emerald Hill Road, and the Singapore Art Museum, all close to Orchard Road.
Sentosa Island
Tumblr media
Sentosa Island, known as the ‘State of Fun’, is most likely the only island in Singapore you have heard of due to its unparalleled enthusiasm. You can experience as much fun and adventure as you want on Sentosa Island, from taking the Singapore cable car to the island to bungee jumping. You have a beach to unwind on, an assortment of adventures to give you an adrenaline rush, and a fun family time together at a movie theme land with Universal Studios Singapore tickets in hand. There will never be a dull moment while you are here, and you will want to return for more in the future.
Little India and China Town
Tumblr media
In this tiny nation, renowned for its harmonious multi-ethnicity, you can find a mashup of Asian cultures coexisting side by side. Visit Little India and Chinatown to understand the region's cultural diversity. Here, you can enjoy the energetic atmosphere, experience some of the locals' warm culture, and sample delectable cuisine. You won't believe how quickly time passes when you explore the stunning temples and shrines of Indian and Chinese heritage, indulge in decadent Asian flavors, and mingle with the locals in these cultural neighborhoods while enjoying good food, good vibes, and great company.
Night Safari Singapore
Even though Singapore is home to many wildlife attractions, including Jurong Bird Park and Singapore Zoo, Night Safari Singapore stands out as the world's first nocturnal wildlife safari park. It offers a unique insight into the lives of animals and their nocturnal behavior, and it is thrilling to observe them in the stillness of the night. If you have plans for a family trip with kids to Singapore, you should include this on your itinerary. They would love going on a guided tram ride through a silent, dark jungle to witness some of the most exotic animals in the world, such as binturongs, tapirs, pangolins, and clouded leopards, to name a few, in their natural habitats.
Jewel Changi Airport
Tumblr media
As soon as you arrive in Singapore, this incredible attraction will likely be the first thing you see. If you take the airport tram, this lovely indoor cascade will be right in front of your eyes as you navigate the airport to the exit. Even so, you are welcome to arrive and take your time exploring this attraction at your own pace since it is a free sightseeing attraction! You can also enjoy an indoor trek through the lush Shiseido Forest Valley and some leisure time at Canopy Park and explore the indoor Rain Vortex and its sparkling waterfall. These attractions might have varying entrance fees.
You can get around and see the sights for free if you have a layover in Singapore and a transit visa. That's right! The destination also offers free Singapore tours to transiting passengers so that they can enjoy the sights of the city rather than wandering around the airport while waiting for their connecting flight. The tours are on a first-come, first-served basis, but if you can see what Singapore is like, grab the opportunity!
It gives you a general idea of how Singapore is and can assist you in planning a proper Singapore visit. These above-listed places are among the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. A trip to Singapore would only be considered complete with visiting these spectacular tourist places while you are there.

Inspired by gravity falls
(This is a Rough draft, i don’t know if I’ll finish it but please enjoy, feel free to give criticism or suggestions!) Her phone let out a small sound as the car passed the sign welcoming them into the small town, “Welcome to Star Fall!” The sign rusted and graffitied with one of the wooden legs looking quite thin and rotted, she sunk into the front seat as, ‘Game Over!’ flashed over her phone screen screen her father glancing over at her frowning a bit, “you know why we had to move June bug, I know you had to leave all your friends behind, but think about it this way! You can make even more friends! Explore new things! Try new food and such!” He gave an excited smile as he focused back on the road their little van stuttering a little as they went over a large pothole. “If the car stops in the middle of nowhere I’m heading back to Denver” she muttered turning off her phone and hooking it up to the unoccupied charger. They passed a few sprinkled outsider cabins of those who preferred to live alone, her eyes catching onto a home/shop with a giant sign labeled, “Monster shack!” and a tour bus with multiple foolish people filtering out. “Maybe I should check it out when we’re done unpacking” she thought as they began to enter the town passing by shops, restaurants, a library, a small museum and what looked to be a police station. They went through all of that going off onto beaten path their van rattling as it went over the uneven road it probably would take longer to walk on foot but in the car it took no time at all they came across a newly renovated two story farm house with a little barn on the side, “Sooo how you like it June?” Her father asked as he stopped right in front of it looking hopefully at his daughter, “it’s… not to bad” she murmured getting her phone unplugged and into her pocket opening up the door, making sure to unbuckle herself before hopping out. She stretched herself out as her father soon joined her, she heard him groan and his bones pop as he twisted and turned his body, “Sure hope we have a chiropractor around here we’re gonna need it after that trip” he commented as he opened the back of the van, “thankfully I paid extra to get the movers to unpack all our things for us! Though some things might be out of place, that and we have what we got in the van too” June went to help already grabbing a couple boxes to take to their new home. They arrived at the start of the day but by the time they had got everything out of the van, got them in their respective places and almost fully unpacked them the sun was beginning to go down and they both were more then hungry. “June bug, what do you say we go out in the town and have something to eat and a break” he called up to her as she placed on of their family portraits on the wall, it was when she went fishing with him one summer a stranger had kindly taken the photo for them she was holding up a fish twice her size one that nearly took her and her father off the dock. She smiled a tiny bit before going downstairs opting to slid down the railing stumbling a bit as she hopped off at the very end, “It’ll be fun! You might make some new friends, meet some people, try the local food and such!” He smiled at her as he went to the door digging his keys out of his pockets getting a simple nod in return as they went out the door and to the empty van covered in travel stickers, small dents and scratches. She glanced at their bikes sitting locked up to the porch as she stood by the passenger side door as her father fiddled with the fob trying to unlock it though that thankfully didn’t take long, once again they were in their van driving off though this time they were going simply just to get food and to get a break from the tedious work of unpacking their things.
The ride was less quite then their last one, the radio had been turned onto the only station it had a static filled station with some elevator music, it changed from area to area but always had the same amount of static every time. They were slowed down now this time focused on looking at the sights, “Well look at that! There’s a mansion just on top of the hill! Can’t escape the rich huh?” Her father pointed to a large looming mansion that looked over the small town she could faintly see the a rather fancy limo heading up the hill. She just nodded a bit as she observed the small yet lively town the people there were odd to her, they talked to one another offered gifts, maybe even hugged on a rare occasion it was different then the city quite different, she almost dreaded the conversations she’d be forced to have and the needless information she’d have to hear honestly she’d rather spend her time exploring the surrounding forests. “Well! This looks like quite the place!” Her thoughts were drawn away by her Father as he slowed their van down on front of a packed diner, well as packed as a diner in a small town can get in the late evening the place was shabby almost like what you would expect a hole in the wall place would be. Yet it stood out there was not a single building quite close to it every side had parking spaces to spare and the road even split to go towards the place, “Let’s try this place June Bug!” She really didn’t feel like this was the smart option, “Is that a raccoon?” She thought as her eyes caught onto a rather fat raccoon squeezing out from what looked to be a doggy door slowly trodding off to what suspiciously looked to be the diner’s dumpster, she quickly looked at her Father who seemed to be none the wiser as he pulled in, “I’m going to die to a raccoon’s restaurant” she thought as the van let out a small squeal as it parked she was more then hesitant to exit the car but decided to try and have faith in her Father’s questionable food choices. Entering the diner it seemed a little homey like the places they had stopped by on their way here yet definitely needed repairs, “I didn’t see a food safety sign or is it somewhere else?” She looked around hoping that at least the kitchen would be out in the open for her to judge wether or not to even order anything yet it was blocked by the dreaded wall. The two were greeted by an older lady (well she looked older anyway) with a patch over one of her eyes, (to be continued)

What if all of the animatronics were suddenly allowed to leave the Pizzaplex during certain times and on certain days but they had to take like a tracker with them in case something happened
They've conveniently 'forgotten' that tracker so many fucking times they're driving management up the wall.
More importantly, this lines up with a few AUs I got lying around so I got some ideas for this!
They ride DJ Music Man into town like a giant fucking horse. He's their mode of transport and it's amazing. They all show up in town with their giant enemy spider steed to go explore the local areas. He tips his hat as they pass the little old ladies in greeting and waves to the kids staring on in wonder as he follows Bonnie and Roxy around the town and they all share opinions loudly on what they see in shop windows.
They can all hangout in town centres, get a bus or a train and go on seaside visits and see the sights. Foxy and Monty would drag everyone to an aquarium on a monthly basis, and have to keep Freddy and Chica on leads so they don't disappear and try to eat the fish. Roxy can go racing on bigger and better tracks now, if she saves up any allowance she gets for these trips out, maybe she buys herself a dirtbike to drive around on in any nearby outdoor tracks. Freddy likes taking them to space museums and planetariums or just out to fields at night to stargaze. The night time things are only really possible in the winter when it gets real dark out real early so the entirety of winter, whenever there's a clear sky, he's dragging everyone outside for stargazing. Bonnie loves going out and getting silly outfits. Like, he has a squid hat, a whole box of funny bowties and at least three different pairs of joke glasses. Monty and Foxy hang out at the local pool and Foxy likes taking any floaty he can fit on and calling it his ship while Monty plays the sea monster and tries to sink him. Chica goes with anyone and everyone but she adores the petting zoos, climbing trees and the seaside trips. Sunny loves the seaside too and Moon loves the stargazing, both of them will tag along with almost anything though. DJ loves carrying everyone around and walking them to the seaside so he can play in the water with them. The minis don't like the ocean because it carries them away really easily but they do like when DJ gives them boat rides through it and they have fun acting as the tiny marching band for Roxy, Foxy or Freddy.
If they aren't given any money to work with - which is more likely - I can see all of them taking on odd jobs under Faz Ents nose in order to pay for stuff they want. Like, Roxy goes and fixes cars and stuff for people, Foxy, Monty and Chica give swimming lessons at the local pool, Sunny and Moon teach sign language - mostly for free but sometimes for a price - Bonnie steals merch from the Plex and sells it and any jackets or quilts he's made off. They all go around and do odd jobs for people for small money that they save up for seaside trips, trinkets, gifts, etc. It's difficult to get money when you're a robot but where there's a will there's a way, right? They want nice things too!
They can't do any of that stuff with the trackers though. If they're tracked making money, they may lose those privileges and that's not good. Not only that, but there's probably a shit ton of rules they have to follow whilst outside otherwise someone goes and gets them. The consequences for offences could be huge.
Got a lot of ideas for stuff they'd all get up to outside though. The sky's the limit here!

hi! so this is a really specific request but I was thinking abt it for a while 😅😅 can I request traveling hcs w junho? like how he takes care of u during trips, types places he likes to visit, how he’s like on the plane, is he picky with hotels, little traveling quirks he has, stuff like that! 💗 I love traveling but I haven’t done it in a while and this is all that’s been on my mind lately 💔 I love ur work btw!! 🥰
Literally the same second i saw this my head just FLOODED with ideas and all i have to say for the love of creepy porcelain doll, please let me travel with Jun-ho.
Traveling! headcanons Jun-ho x reader
- First of all. First of all. This man will fall asleep the second his ass hits the seat. It’s like he got hit to his head with a brick and he’s just out.
- He always lets you to take the window seat too, he doesn’t need to see anything anyway. He does rest his head on your shoulder though.
- Also if you happen to have a fear of flying he’ll be there reassuring you all the time, holding your hand.
- Always in bigass hoodie and baggy sweatpants in airport, he puts comfort before anything else whenever he’s traveling.
- Does not understand the people who willingly sit on the plane with jeans on.
- That being said he always goes to the airport super early so that you two will have few hours to kill before your flight. Though the time is usually spend in a tax-free shop, sniffing some perfumes and laughing at the tacky souvenirs.
- Jun-ho also always makes a playlist for your trip. Always. If he doesn’t he’s not going.
- He’s not picky about the places you two go, all that matters to him that he’s on a vacation with you as long as it’s relatively safe place. Yes he does his research.
- So he mostly just listens to your suggestions. But he does have to admit he likes to visit cities with a lot of culture and things to do and see.
- But he does love Europe. Especially the small villages in the middle of nowhere you two can drive while watching the scenery and stopping by the most random places possible.
- Current favorite country is Switzerland just because of alpine skiing. He loves it. Though he loves to mess around in the snow too.
- Almost broke a rib once while skiing and you haven’t gone back since.
- Likes comfy hotels and his only requirement is that the bed is big enough for cuddling with you and that the room is clean because there is no way in hell he’s staying somewhere which looks straight from a murder scene.
- Will fuck around with the soaps in the hotel just for the fun of it. Yes such a basic thing but he steals them always. police who
- Sometimes you’ll see him practically glued to the TV and when you ask if he even knows what’s the show is about he’ll just say “I have no idea but it’s dramatic so we’re watching it.”
- Far more comfortable with PDA during traveling and is constantly holding your hand if it’s possible.
- But even if he’s letting his guard down, he’s constantly looking over you in case you start to feel sick.
- Always have a bottle of water ready for you and yes he does remind you to stay hydrated if you’re getting distracted.
- Gives you small massages whenever you two are on the hotel room.
- Oh- also would prefer that the hotel has a bathtub....for obvious reasons i don’t think i have to explain why.
- Usually just wanders around in his boxers in the hotel room, not that you mind.
- Jun-ho likes to visit museums whenever there is one worth going, he’s incredibly curious about history and he’ll drag you with him
- Also enjoys wandering through local markets and buying fresh fruits and shit. Which usually leads you two to go to the park or somewhere quiet where you can enjoy the said fruits together.
- Nightlife. You two will have some late night walks, which sometimes may or may not turn into visiting a neat bar, pub or club.
- It’s mostly only because you are curious about what they look like.
- That being said he actually really enjoys visiting tiny cozy cafes with not many people in them, for him they’re like a tiny heaven in the middle of a chaos.
- And also local restaurants. Like i said he really just wants to know and learn more about different cultures and “weird” food around the world.
- Just don’t let him buy a cook book for your own good okay?
- Jun-ho hates doing schedules when in his free time because they make him anxious so it’s either spontaneous idea to visit somewhere or just don’t hit the time you want to visit somewhere into the stone.
- He deserves his damn peace.
- Now that i mentioned the spontaneous thing...he does have stupid ideas from time to time, might want to go hiking one day and then visit the closest small village the next.
- Always buys a small thing for you to remember about the trip, for example a small plushie or a bookmark.
- Traveling with Jun-ho is a healthy combination of lazy days and days you fear for your life do something new and exciting.

Hopefully this puts things in greater perspective because some tourists just don’t get it and need to hear this. For those who are curious and looking to travel in the future I hope you find this is informative! :) We could all use more perspective on linguistics and traveling imho. I have made some of these mistakes in the past too. We can all learn to be better guests/tourists. This mindset people have that not only is it okay for tourists to exploit and mistreat local populations, but it’s something that should be encouraged is wrong. You’re not entitled to anything special as a tourist just because you have enough money to play around somewhere “exotic” for a few weeks. Regardless of where people travel to. As a guest in someone else’s home you should put more effort into not being a total asshat. You will have a better time and you might learn something cool along the way. I will mostly be using France as an example since I live here and have more insight, but everything I say applies outside of France as well. Note: This information only applies to tourists. Immigrants and refugees are a unique situation and thus face different challenges and have different needs. A tourist chooses where to go and has time (and money) to plan for their trip, which is often only a few weeks or days. Immigrants and refugees often don’t have that same luxury and remain in the country for far longer. (in many cases permanently) Moving to a country places a greater linguistic and cultural demand on an individual. Remember to check your privilege. tourism =/= immigration/asylum. A) English is not the only language in existence. It might be a widely spoken language, but it’s not the most widely spoken language (that honor goes to Chinese) nor is it the only lingua franca. Chinese, Hindu, Spanish, French, and Arabic are all widely spoken across multiple borders and where you are on the planet will obviously dictate which one of these people go with. If you expect that to be English because your sphere of the internet happens to put you in that bubble of “my language or bust” ignorance then like... that’s on you pal. Get with the times and stop assuming everyone should just speak English. English speakers are not the only tourists and English, though widely used, is not the only other language a person might need. I have a friend from Laos who speaks absolutely no English. He doesn’t need it and never has. (even now) He speaks Lao (the regional dialects can be as different as Thai is from Laotian btw), Chinese, a bit of Thai, and French because they still use a lot of French for business dealings there. (something I didn’t know ngl) Assuming he should just speak English because “everyone else does” is ignorant. It’s rude. It puts no thought into his situation. It’s entitled. He’s traveled to visit friends in England and he has an English phrase book. He doesn’t need a lot of English so like... the phrase book is absolutely perfect. Most of what he does in England is sight see and speak Chinese with his friends. Be more like my friend from Laos. B) Official languages may not be the only language a country speaks within its borders. Regional and native languages exist and expecting the locals to speak a 3rd language on top of all that is unbelievably entitled. France has a number of them. There are people who are born and raised in France who don’t speak French in their day to day life. (or at all) Basque, Breton, Occitan, Alsatian, Yiddish, Ladino, Arabic and a number of others are all spoken within French borders. Many are at risk of being permanently lost (that’s why our new regional language law is important btw) and as a result a greater emphasis is placed on preserving them as opposed to learning something new. Most people have to learn the official language as it’s the only language a lot of countries will accept for paperwork, but anything else is up to the individual and you can suck an egg if you don’t like that. (this also applies to immigrants and refugees btw) Heck there are places in the US where people don’t even speak English day to day! Some places actually speak French or Spanish. I heard more Spanish in my day to day life than I did English where I grew up in NC! (moved to Florida and Spanish exploded. loved it!) C) Borders are a thing. People working and living across borders exist and English is often not the language they chose to go with as a result. France borders Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, England, and Switzerland. People who share these borders often choose to go with these languages. English is in there, but please note it’s not the only one. D) Culturally speaking a country may not like [insert common language here] and as a result may refuse to speak it. That’s entirely their choice. If you don’t like that then don’t visit the country. It’s really that easy.  Colonialism is often a major factor at play in these situations. Respect that choice. You do not get a say in how people reclaim their identity. As for France? This might come as a shock to some people, but France doesn’t like England. I’m 100% certain these two places exist solely to punch each other in the nuts. (ball tap. an international past time) As a result getting English people to speak French or French people to speak English is about as easy as pulling your own teeth. I’ve been spit on for speaking English because people here just assume I’m from England or they hate “annoying Americans” and after seeing how y’all responded to the last post I made... yeah I totally get it now. Granted, that’s no excuse for someone being hostile, but it is something to keep in mind when you visit and applies to more than just France too. E) Retail workers and small shop owners don’t owe you shit. You have absolutely no right waltzing into a shop and demanding the staff speak your language (I don’t care how common it is) for the two weeks you’ve decided to play around in their home. Always ask them first. If they can’t or choose not to then tough luck. This is why a phrase book is important!
Tumblr media
Retail workers and small shop owners get treated like shit enough. Some of y’all have never worked retail a day in your life and WOW does it show. Please respect retail workers and small shop owners. You don’t know what their day or life has been like. If they’re tired and don’t want to speak to you in a foreign language then that’s their right. I have had no issues using my phone or a phrase book to help communicate concepts when there is a language barrier. (and I fucking live in France. I’m not even visiting) Emergencies also happen and a phrase book or medical card in the native and/or official language is absolutely essential! Even if you just have an allergy to something! This is a great way to stay safe! When you visit another country being aware of and researching cultural differences includes linguistic differences. Tourists are guests. You don’t live here, you don’t get a say. Remember, learning a second language (esp if you don’t use it often) is really hard. If you’re visiting a country do not expect them to just use whatever language you speak. Mind you a phrase book is also important because people within a country may not have a strong grasp on English even if they do speak it. You can very easily get lost or injured without a phrase book to help you. These things allow you to better experience a country and communicate without actually having to learn the entire language... or any of it. And, once again, they exist for free online! You do not need to learn an entire language to visit somewhere, but you need to be prepared for there to be a barrier. People assuming I mean you need to learn a whole language are uh... really something else. Like do you guys think half the people bending over backwards to communicate with you know the full language? Go ahead. Fuck around and find out. ;) Obviously I’m not saying you should be treated poorly when visiting if you don’t know the language. Unfortunately no matter how much effort you put in there will always be someone who’s a jerk and I’m sorry for that. All I’m saying is as a tourist you owe it to yourself and others to be better prepared. Trust me. You’ll have a better time in the end. (and if you did the research you’d find that Paris is not the best first place to visit... even if you’re french lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS64ZT4eWUA Please watch this guy’s video. It is hilarious and touches on a lot of the same points I just made. Thank you for your time. :) ---------------- Cultural tidbit for those who are curious about where I live in France: I live in Alsace currently! (moved from Lyon, but my spouse is from here) In Alsace you might meet people who speak English, but it’s also entirely likely you won’t! Alsace is also a very tourist heavy area because it looks like a German fairy tale and has a lot of tiny villages with cool stuff to do! I highly recommend visiting here over Paris! We have so many storks! (clackclackclack)

That being said, Alsace has its own regional language!

It’s not uncommon to see bilingual signage or to pass someone on the street and hear them speaking Alsatian. You’ll usually hear it from older people, children, or those from rural areas. It’s really fun to listen to and absolutely wild to see written on museum signs!  Kids here will start school learning French, regardless of what they speak at home, which has resulted in a downswing of Alsatian speakers in recent years. That’s why the new regional language law I mentioned waaaaaay above is so important. It’ll allow schools to teach most of the day in Alsatian instead of French with the goal being fully bilingual adults! :) As of right now, most kids here choose German or English (depending on the school) as their second language. Some kids pick Alsatian and honestly? Good for them! I’m glad!
