ya_bae_nemo: Showtime!!!

It's been so awesome to put together this showcase with @ashlee , one of my best friends and my dance soulmate! It's really hard to explain what that means to people who aren't dancers but it really does feel like destiny when I dance with Ashlee. We have such great chemistry and flow and trust between us. It's like she's reading my mind when we freestyle!!! And I never have more fun then when we get to choreo together. I'm gonna really miss her when she goes on to London, but I know that she's gonna be amazing!

Thank you Ashlee for asking me to do this, dancing with me again, and even letting me do buchaechum, a traditional Korean fan dance I've been wanting to do for years! This whole show is a dream come true!

She can’t hide her awe as she watches him from the shadows. He flips, twists, flies through the air in a way she’d thought only birds could. Does it so naturally and clearly feels so at home while doing it that she can’t help but wonder if he is. If he wasn’t actually born in the sky. If he doesn’t just live there. At least, she thinks that’s where he lives, since he’d said safe, secure, familiar without words as he’d entered the building.)

She creeps closer as he flings himself into another fight. Protect, he says, while he laughs and laughs and laughs with his words. Distracting. Taunting. Look at me! he says. Keeping the attackers’ attentions on him instead of their victim. And once they’re all down on the ground and restrained, once they’re groaning and moaning or sleeping-but-not, he turns to the victim and his body says calm, safe, not a threat.

Sitting on the edge of the rooftop, she doesn’t bother keeping herself hidden anymore as she watches him. He’s known she’s been following him for a while now, anyways, even if he doesn’t know who’s doing the following—she can see it in the tense line of his shoulders, despite the way he still always tries to seem happy, calm, not worried, oblivious. So, when the victim eventually runs off, she stays where she is. Doesn’t bother hiding the way she’s staring at him, heels kicking lightly against the bricks. She’s curious.
