Hosted the first Meet and Greet of Sun Life Foundation's new partners. I cannot tell you how much that microphone was instrumental in making this simple event a success. I almost used a broken microphone and amplifier. I cannot imagine handing a mic with masking tape to the CEO and President who will be speaking in front of our guests! Somehow, I thought God will pull through. He promised us a seamless event, I prayed. There was stillness in my heart, the kind of peace that says , The Lord got this, Tin! And he did it again! The minute I came in ready to do our sound check, Kuya Obet came in carrying this beautiful wireless mic! I haven't been that happy seeing a microphone 😂 Thank you, Lord. Momdate Moviedate These days, my constant movie date is my mom. Works for me cause she either has a 20% senior citizen discount or a free cinema pass in Makati 😂😂😂 (yesterday libre nya pa mcdo haha :) Seriously though, watching Tagalog films has been our family bonding tradition. The best surprises are surprise visits from friends. This definitely beats any surprise flower deliveries (which I wished I would get in the office! That was a secret wish for years 😝) This beautiful lady with a glowing skin (no filter yan ah, kainis!🙈) surprised me with the devotional I've been wanting to get. Two weeks ago we mounted the one and only big event that we do every year- The Children's Hour Annual Benefit Lunch. This year was special for me because it was my last fundraiser. I was privileged to work with a hardworking and dynamic team. This year, we had the best turnout. We raised about PhP 5M, all seats sold out. A lot were saying that it was the best program flow as well. Seamless and well put together. Partners were happy, more kids will be happier. It was a gift to the children, the team, our donors and the gift I gave myself. The 2 hours of sleep the night before was well worth it. I made the best decision 4 years ago when I took the big leap from the corporate world to the Social Development sector. It was not an easy one to make (career change is scary folks!) plus I had to give up a lot of corporate perks. The transition was not easy but the journey shaped my character. Looking back, I knew God's hand was on my path. Tomorrow I start with a new adventure. It has been a wonderful four years of sweet adventure CH. I will always be proud and feel privileged to have been a part of the CH fambam.
