Trip to the "City of Love" (Part 2)

A/N: Finally finished!!! Right, I hope you enjoy the second part ( I tried to keep it as romantic as I could) while I go work on the third part 🚶‍♀️

Summary: In which you and Timmy spend your first night in the "City of Love"

Warnings: I wouldn't really say there are any, apart from a second mention of alcohol.

Your phone was in your hand the moment you landed. Every pretty street, cafe, building, and extraordinary landmark; you wanted to capture it all so that even when you would leave, the reminiscence of the city will stay with you forever. It took your breath away, throughout the entire duration of your car ride to your hotel, all you could do was stare out the window, unable to tear your eyes away. The night cityscape flashed before your eyes, as the car raced through the streets. You felt overwhelmed, you wanted to do everything, see everything, have it all, feeling as though there wasn't enough time.

On the backseat beside you, Timothée gazed at you, smiling at how you admired the view.

He reached over, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You spun your head around, breaking out into a wide grin before leaning over and capturing his lips in yours. Your hand was soon at the back of his neck, softly tugging on his soft curls. When you pulled away, the smiles on your faces only grew. You felt so much love at that moment, holding him in your arms, about to explore this beloved city together.

The room was flooded with the first rays of sunlight, casting a heavenly glow on your boy. Your eyes were met with his divine features and messy curls, behind him the Eiffel Tower was visible through the doors of the balcony. You allowed yourself to dwell on the moment, feeling completely content beside him. His hand rested on your waist, hugging you closer to his frame, warmth radiating from his body. You were soon met with his open eyes, staring right back at you. They seemed to sparkle, as a light blush coated his skin.

You moved to cup his face in your hands, thumb stroking his soft skin.

As you arrived during the late evening, the two of you were too drained yesterday, and so had to wait till morning. However, now nothing stood between you and this dream of a city just outside your windows.

Your mind was racing with all the possible places you could visit and the things you could do, heart thumping just at the idea.

Although you had a rough idea of places you wanted to visit, you had no particular order or schedule, so you were free to do whatever your hearts desired.

This newfound liberty excited you like nothing else.

You and Timmy agreed that the Louvre would be first on your agenda, especially since it would be good to arrive there early before the crowds started pouring in.

After scouting a small patisserie just by your hotel, you grabbed a pastry and a cup of coffee each before calling a taxi to drive you to the gallery.

Once there, no one could pull you away. You were utterly awestruck. Hallway after hallway, you skipped from room to room, each one seemingly even more beautiful than the last.

"I wonder what's in this hall" You muttered, following a rather large group of people into a room that was packed to the absolute max.

After noticing the increased number of security guards, it didn't take long for your eyes to land on the one and only Mona Lisa. There it was. This legendary piece right before you. You waited your turn patiently, before asking a nearby stranger to take a picture of you and Timothée.

He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, leaning into you so that you could place your head on his shoulder. Your smiles were bright as ever.

Walking out of the museum, you felt like dancing. You were engulfed in this feeling of pure joy and carefreeness. Enjoying the luxury of time, that you came about very rarely, you Timmy decided to just wander around the city, without a map or any particular destination in mind, just explore where your heart pulled you.

You walked by the river bank, the air cool from the body of water, ruffling your hair slightly. A soft crackle of leaves sounded beneath your shoes, as you and Timothée talked quietly, walking further down the Seine river. You made a short pit stop for Ice cream before continuing last the Notre-dame de Paris, standing grand among the trees.

At one point, a particularly large group of your fans recognized you two. You hadn't noticed them ( to this day you weren't sure how) as they crept behind you, sneaking photos of you as you walked along the streets and exchanged kisses under the Parisian bridges. When one of you finally caught sight of the cunning group, it took one wide-eyed glance between you two before you were running hand in hand in the opposite direction, laughing uncontrollably.

As time went on, your legs were growing tired, but the festivities were not over yet. As the sun began to set over the horizon, you and Timmy made your way back to the hotel to change into your evening attire. As the only thing you planned, you had a reservation awaiting you in one of the most expensive restaurants in the city. You were hesitant about the idea at first, however, Timmy insisted to treat you.

The most beautiful of gowns was layed on the bed; a shimmering black dress that fell to ankles. It was lined with golden detailing and hugged your figure perfectly. You paired it with marching heels and diamond earrings, feeling like a million-dollar jem.

At the sight of you, Timothée's jaw dropped. His eyes roamed your body, trying to memorize every inch, finally coming up to meet yours. No words were required, you could feel the love he felt for you.

You admired him in return. Somehow, he managed to match your dress, looking his usual stunning.

The restaurant sat on a low hill, with a magnificent patio, adorned with grape vines and surrounded by a large variety of fruit trees, producing a lovely sweet scent.

From the restaurant, the Eiffel Tower could be seen clear as day, now shimmering with thousands of tiny lights.

Timothée and you were shown to your table, at the edge closest to the Tower, and menus were displayed before you.

You took your time looking over the menu, asking Timothée for help translating a dish every now and then.

While waiting for your starters, Timmy insisted to take a couple of pictures of you in front of the Tower. You agreed, posing for the camera, your smile iridescent and bright.

The food was absolutely divine, carefully prepared, and plated beautifully. To say you enjoyed it would be an understatement.

At last, it was time for the highlight of your evening: climbing the tower itself.

You made your way through the gardens that led it, fingers brushing the soft flower petals.

The closer you got, the more wonders truck you were. It stretched before you into the night sky, glittering and magnificent.

Once at the top, you couldn't belive the sight before you. Timmy stood beside you, his arm safely wrapped around your waist, head resting on you shoulder, occasionally angling his head to place a loving kiss upon your neck.

The wind whipped up the edges of your dress slightly, stray stands of hair slipping into your face.

The city sparkled below, life still visible on the busy streets despite the late hours of the night.

A glass of champagne in your hand

Your eyes were on the city but his were on you.

You inhaled the night air, closing your eyes at the thought that you were finally here, in the city of love, in Paris, at the top of the Eiffel Tower with your lover. Your Timmy.
