Ok. Bodies (2023) had one of the best emotional payoffs in a time travel series I’ve ever seen. A fantastic standalone if you ignore the last 10 seconds.

But also, I’m gonna contradict (X)Twitter here, some reasonable thread to put out and bait for a season renewal too. I mean the inventor and the machine will inevitably exist. So. They could just as easily put Gabriel as the Next Big Bad— he’s certainly got ambition that could turn dark if nudged a bit if they wanna, or the people the tech will attract.

I just mostly want the detectives to be a team solving temporal anomalies/crimes. When it happened, their teamwork, even when belonging to such drastically different time periods, were stunning and a freakin highlight to behold. I legit started tearing up. And I want more of those ngl.

They could leave the KYAL behind tho. It’s Elias’ thing and a staple of his character. Doesn’t have to be a staple of the series.

This week; pointing out how it is kinda silly they just looked at the butler that had been working for the Waynes for about 3 - 5 years and went yeah he can look after the orphaned child it's fine

Awkward meetings

Pretty much the same things happen as in canon, but Danny almost constantly bumps into Ra's in his time travel (where dc and dp can exist together or as separate/parallel alternate universes). After an indeterminate number of meetings, the contents of which I won't reveal, both came to an unspoken agreement to ignore each other no matter what.

Remarkably, the order of encounters for Ra's and Danny is chronologically confusing, as is their timeline relative to each other. How strong. No one knows at what segment of their meetings the other is. It's so damn confusing that Ra's and Danny keep logs of meetings, in a futile attempt to sort this shit out one day without potentially destabilizing the current time stream, the Flash's bullshit is more than enough, thanks.

And out of a desire to avoid all this headache, they most often just walk by and report their subjective meeting number. On rare occasions, they warn each other about how their next meeting might go, or simply ask the other to remind them of something.

Their awkward meetings/attempts to avoid prolonged interaction will look quite funny from the outside.

It seemed that the League always had its own "Cryptid". At truly random intervals (day, week, month, years), the same child quickly appeared in front of the Demon Head and just as quickly disappeared. Most often they exchanged some numbers, less often he uttered some phrases. Neither of them will even look at the other, eager to leave as soon as possible (the longer they are around, the higher the chance that something unpleasant will happen, strange, but together they often attract any kind of trouble from an earthquake to level threats end of the world).

(So the "Conan lives with Kaito" AU evolved to include this. Oops. I'm imagining time travel as the end result, and the beginning of steps taken until Edogawa Conan is the cousin of Kuroba Kaito.

Meanwhile, Kudo Shinichi's newest mystery includes this little kid who keeps getting involved in his cases and is somehow linked to these men in black the kid saved him from in Tropical Land.)

okay but the implication of the principal/the Night Nurse's superior being Niko is that present-day and future Niko where both around at the same time for at least some period of time and I need an explanation for how and when their timelines or whatever merged/diverged.
