Mutuals and dear followers,
One of the best reading years I’ve had in some time was a couple of years ago when I read mainly from friends’ recs. I know this kind of thing burns some people, but I guess I know how to approach it in a way that works for me. I want to do something similar this year.
What books should I at least put on my radar that you've loved?
#I'm willing to try most genres and I like branching out - and non-fiction is welcome alongside fiction#But you know me - I especially love historical#fantasy#classics#and children's lit#I tend pretty clean when it comes to language and bedrooms but violence usually doesn't get under my skin as much. (But that's#something I can check out for myself. I do my own due diligence so don't stress it. ;-)#Another year of recovering as a reader - I really need it this time. I started off strong but fell off the wagon. This year the books#come back with a vengeance!#coreander's old books#recovering reader

#crab chatter#i started playing homicipher#i don't normally play horror games#but the language deciphering is really fun#the linguist in me is overjoyed#and the ghost boys are kinda cute#the jumpscares aren't too bad (not too loud like in FNAF)#but the game does have a very eerie feel throughout#i also only play when it is light out because i am a baby#would recommend it if you're okay with ghosts gore jumpscares and quick time events#anyways i got to chapter 4 and the game is too open-ended now#all my save slots of filled with choice scenes so i can go back#the real horror begins when i'm faced with branching options

There is actually a reason why I draw him so spikey! I wanted him to look like his Dad while also resembling his mom a bit as well. I eventually decided to made all the brothers have bits of resemblance of their parents because of genes LOL

I am far too obsessed w crop tops. It’s actually reaching a cataclysmic point but I can’t stop wearing cropped everything help me

when i first played pokemon conquest i really loved it, but i couldn't help but wish there was more emphasis on the relationships between the different characters. later on i discovered fire emblem awakening and my god, the way it took everything i loved about conquest and dialed character relationships up to an 11 truly captivated me and i haven't been the same since
