Of course, because it's a video game set up for the player to win, we know the danger isn't that serious. If we go down in this boss fight, Aloy essentially travels back in time to beat it correctly.

But as for what's really going on, if Tilda defeats Aloy, not only will she kidnap her, not only will she doom life on earth for everyone else, there's a line that haunts me.

"It may seem harsh now, but you'll forgive me in a few centuries."

Tilda fully intended to also give Aloy the immortality procedures the Zeniths all had, whether Aloy wanted them or not; so that she could keep "Elisabet's best possible self" alive and captive forever.

The weight of that fight feels much scarier than every other fight where the consequences of failing are only death.
