She accepts Beth’s hands, squeezing them. She felt bad for Beth. She was a sweet girl, too sweet for this world. This world was either going to spoil her, making her into a monster or it was going to take her precious life away. Lori felt awful for thinking it but it was true and it crushed her inside.

To see this girl of such innocence, and knowing her only two options was almost too much to bare for the woman.

"I don’t want to just survive anymore, this ain’t living, this isn’t a life for a child" She said looking at her stomach.

She smiles softly, at Lori’s squeezing her hand. It felt reassuring.

"I know how that must feel…" It was too much for anyone to have to deal with, and Beth knew that sometimes it was too hard to live in this world.

"Things may get better, eventually. And we ‘ave each other, we can all try to be strong together. I know it’s hard, though…the world of monsters we were suddenly thrust into—it’s completely suck-ass.”

She kissed Lori’s cheek.

She had her head in her hands, her heart was feeling a void, an emptiness. She wanted to cry, she wanted to scream, she wanted to lash out but she couldn’t find the energy. in her to do it. They had been on the road a while after the farm and it was hard to get any sleep.

She spent her nights worrying about walkers about the baby, about everything is she was honest. She may have been above water but she felt like she was drowning in her own faults and her own mistakes.

She heard a person come up behind and after they spoke she realised it was Beth. She lifted her head up to look at the girl and notices a small smile on Beth’s lips, she didn’t even attempt to smile back, she couldn’t fake it, she couldn’t fake being happy.

"For better or for worse" She whispered softly.

Beth could sense that the Apocalypse was affecting Lori more powerfully at the moment, which could partly be also due to the baby she felt like she had to take care of. Of course, she had no knowledge on how Lori was feeling inside, a mix of tumultuous emotions, Beth imagined.

She frowns in concern, at Lori’s response to her question. 

Beth reaches out to take Lori’s hand, clasping it softly.

"I know that things don’ seem so good right now, but we’ll pull through like we always have."

Beth settled down beside the fire, which was still crackling with much welcomed heat, and pulled her legs up to her chest to drum up more warmth in her body.

She glanced over at Lori, who had been a kind and motherly presence in her life. She still remembered how Lori had tried to talk some sense in her, during her most damaging life contemplation, just like Maggie had.

"—-Hey, Lori." She attempted a smile, although it was trembling slightly. A zombie outbreak could do that to her.

character in general:   lori!!! okay, real talk i actually love lori and i don’t think she deserves  a quarter of the hate she gets.  like, she had an immense amount of  pressure and yeah she had a  thing  with shane but she knew it was  wrong and she felt deeply sorry for it.    like people don’t understand  how deeply she cared for  rick  and  carl  and  i’m really going to get  ahead of myself but  basically  she’s  v important  and  she’s a damn  good mother, and she just deserves so much more respect from the  fandom tbh.how they play them:   so i’ve been following you for a long while ( since i made lostherchill  like forever ago )  and  the  development  you’ve given lori is nothing  short of frickin’ amazing. you’ve taken what the comics and the series  gave you and ran with it and i just??? really love your lori???   lori grimes protection squad 2k4everthe mun:    i haven’t actually talked to the mun much but they seem like such a   nice person! ; ^ ;
