Hey thx for the ask, you and mira were actually the first two people I followed on here. I love ur blog!

I'll just do the uchiha and senju brothers, because the others don't get any screen time and I haven't seen much of them in fanon either.

4. Hashirama

I love him, he has the potential to be such an interesting character, thematically. But I haven't really seen it done well. He's either characterised as a completely goofy idiot, as a prop or foil for other characters (often madara), or if they try to make him darker it's just the bad brother trope for madatobi fics. And it drives me up the wall. My personal take on him is that he's a kind person through and through, he puts his dream before everything else but I don't think that makes him as callous as he's made out to be sometimes. I think his reasons for what he does are very valid. And he would be very interesting to explore the weight of power and responsibility through, and how despite best intentions dreams can go sideways. Man didn't even expect the village to survive lmao, says a lot. He's more of a typical shonen protagonist, which I'm usually not a fan of, but I loved every second of screen time he got.

3. Madara

If I were talking solely about canon he's definitely my favourite. Completely iconic! I'm still salty about how they dealt with him towards the end of the war arc. But yah he is such an interesting character, I could write essays about him and his philosophies and his actions and how much more potential he could have had if Kishimoto wasn't sus. I loved every second he was on screen, especially his interactions with Hashirama! He's completely obsessively unhinged and I love that for him. This man tried to become God and force world peace lmao, what else needs to be said. And I can appreciate his nihilistic take on dependent origination, enlightened King lmao. Absolutely insane. Also I love torturing him.

2. Tobirama

I just think he's neat. I instantly get obsessed with any character who is remotely autistic coded, what can I say. He's low key an asshole and completely insane, even if he tries to rationalise everything he does. But he's also loyal and self sacrificial when it comes to the people and things he cares about. In the sense that everything he's cultivated himself into has been in service of something bigger than himself. Second heirs am I right. This is also very true, more so, for Izuna too. I think he's also very misunderstood, and very polarising lmao. It's kind of funny to watch when it's not frustrating. Yes he's morally grey, yes he's capable of doing fucked up shit, no I don't think he hated the uchiha, and no he'snot some unredeemable monster. Let the man have nuance. I haven't seen many fics of him I like, but that's probably mostly because 90% are madatobi (if I could completely block and never see this ship again I would in a heart beat lmao). But yh I haven't seen a lot of him so he's been living rent free in my head because of it, more so than hashi or madara, so now I'm completely attached to him lol. Also aroace King, love that.

1. Izuna

Yh I'm obsessed with everything about him. He's my little guy. I saw a character who was insanely important to the plot but got no screen time, and who is only ever mentioned in relation to Madara (he didn't even get a personality lol), and said this is free real estate. I like maybe two or three fics with him in (and a few that are just pwp cuz they don't get the chance to mess up his characterisation lol; I blame WASS for being so picky). So he lives completely in my brain, he's mine. I characterise him as completely insane lmao, he's just a cocktail of mental disorders, and I love torturing him.

He's also very capable though, he was Madara's right hand man, and based off how Madara handles the 4th war... he definitely needed all the help he could get. In this way I think Izuna and Tobirama are parallels of each other.

He's also such a fun character. He's pretty, and he knows it, he's confident and he knows what he wants. He's also a bit of an asshole, a pretentious art hoe, definitely judgemental and a complete drama queen at times lol. Also morally grey, in a similar way to Tobirama actually (god I'm obsessed with the dynamic they could have). He's also a bit of a control freak, and definitely insanely nihilistic and paranoid (I actually think Madara only got that paranoid after Izuna died, despite the peace, or maybe because of it). He HAUNTS the narrative and I love that. Madara actually develops Izuna's worst traits after his death.

He's also my favourite to write. Especially his internal monologues. I also think he's obsessive and insanely possessive. Deranged. I love it! But he also puts his duty and everyone he cares about before his own needs and wants. So yh jts just so interesting to explore. I get obsessed over characters with shit loads of wasted potential lol. Also he has big aro energy, completely repulsed by romance and I definitely support that lmao.

Hiya hiya! Dude yeah, the similarities to Naruto were the first things I noticed! Sasuke being a sort of angsty love-child of Killua and Kurapika def stood out immediately 😂 Kurapika's tragic last of his clan backstory plus Killua's beef with his older brother lmaoooo

I was honestly pretty disoriented at first because there's so little setup in the first episode before they launch you into the exam, but as soon as they got to those mindgame fights where they were betting with the time they had left I was hooked! There's so many parallels between the hunter exam and the chuunin exams, watching it made me really nostalgic for back when I was a kid watching Naruto for the first time. I wouldn't say it's almost hunter x hunter fanfiction, but the influence is really apparent and it's cool to see these legendary artists being inspired by each other!

And oh bro, I'm loving JJK so far too! It's just taking a lot longer to get through because it's the latest anime my brother and I decided to watch together and he's back in school now. We joke that Gojo's an even worse sensei than Kakashi lololol

to make a excellent book/show/movie or like story if u want it to be incredible you need the same amount of eq and iq. for example the great gatsby. the book itself isnt the most exiting read however you can dissect all the paragraphs and go through all the symbolism and double meanings. in my opinion kishimoto has a very good eq (at least for men). throughout the naruto series he gives character good emotional development (until he changed sasukes character lmao) he can put emotion into the characters very well, however due to this it makes some plot holes along the way. ex: the corrupt government, he made it like that to add more emotion into the characters he wasn't trying to make a corrupt government. this also causes the plot to be a bit shaky. anyway thx for coming to my ted talk lmao

Q.1 –Please, tell us about how this time’s enemies, Momoshiki and Kinshiki, werecreated.

Kishimoto: I feel like I put inorder my thoughts while I had gone eating and had a conversation with oneassistant. Because even if I thought about it by myself, [my thoughts] werelying idle (laugh). This assistant was the type that unexpectedly restores ideas.Starting from the point in which the enemies that used traditional legends asmotifs were good. I want to stress that it’s easy to understand the fact thatwe used Momotarou and Kintarou. At first, I thought of including alsoUrashimatarou, but in the end I cut it. I wanted to create a parent-son likerelationship also in the enemies, and make it contrast with Naruto and Boruto.To be honest, I also firmly wanted to portray Momoshiki and Kinshinki’sbackground, but I gave up for the fact that the length [of the movie], short evenunder normal circumstances, was even more pressed. Really, I had also thoughtof depicting the scene of a conversation with Shikamaru and Shikadai, and eachparent-son relationship.

Yamashita: The relationship between Momoshiki and Kinshiki had the scent ofsomething between those lines.

Kishimoto: That’s right. In Momoshiki’s world, I decided a system ofpowering-up inheriting chakra generation after generation. Also in Naruto andthe others’ situation Boruto is entrusted with the Rasengan, but take intoconsideration that he’s not entrusted with power alone, and he has to gainpower though training. There’s a distortion because Momoshiki and the otherstransmit power alone. Considering also the circumstances of the length [of themovie], I couldn’t portray such a difference in details, so I thought that itwas hard to transmit, but… By the way, visually, I used Ushiwakamaru and Benkeias a motif.

Q.2 –Was there a point in which you paid attention to the expressions of the newcharacters joining the old ones?

Yamashita: I paid attention so that it was not out of sync from the roughillustration that Kishimoto-sensei created, including the involvement and thetraces of the characters that have appeared until now. If they were theirchildren, they should behave like this, things like that. As for everyone ofthe cast, I left everything to the sound director without practicallyinterfering.

Kishimoto: So as far as it goes, I had roughly written their way of behavingand their favourite food. And also the master-student relationship. However,it’s not that the new characters, including Boruto, were active for the firsttime in the movie. I had to decide all that, the way of they’d behave withrepeated meetings that the director decided. Of course, that took more timethan the TV series. However, it didn’t take more time than usual. Also for thestoryboard, the original author speaks naggingly about the distribution oftime. If they had made him work among such things, I think that also thedirector would have been in trouble (laugh).

I’m not confident on my translation of thesecond question (though it shouldn’t bother you very much, since you’reinterested on the Otsutsuki). One small note: it’s often repeated “the way ofmoving/operating”, which I’ve translated as “behave” or “act” or somethingalong the lines, I think they meant something like “how the characters shouldhave acted” in the movie. As for the paragraph of the storyboard, I guessKishimoto is saying something like “the original author (i.e. himself) alwayscomplains about the schedule”. Anyway…

- Momotarou: hero of the Japanese folklore,his name means “peach boy” because his old and poor adoptive parents found himinside a peach that was floating on a river. He fought a band of demons,gaining their treasures. Note how the ‘heaven-sent child’ motif is similar toKaguya’s (in the original legend, she came from the moon and was found by anold and poor woodcutter inside a bamboo tree).

- Kintarou: another hero of the Japanesefolklore, his name means “golden boy”. As a child, he was said to be raised inthe woods and had a super-human strength. This led him to become the servant ofa Samurai warrior.

- Urashimatarou: another folkloristiclegend, Urashima Tarou was a fisherman who saved a turtle/princess and wasallowed to visit her palace at the bottom of the sea. When he comes back,however, he discovers he’s been away for 300 years.

- Ushiwakamaru and Benkei: apparently,these guys are real people. Ushiwakamaru (better known as Yoshitsune) was agreat warrior and a nobleman, and defeated Benkei in a duel. Benkei was awarrior-monk, and after being defeated he became Ushiwakamaru most trustedright-hand man.

I really like your GaaLee theory, but thinking about it realistically, I doubt Kishimoto would ever do something like that, which is really unfortunate. LGBT+ stuff is somewhat frowned upon in Japan and it would be incredibly risqué, especially for a super popular Shounen.

Kishimoto don’t give a dame about Naruto, remember that time he said that those Kyuubi marks Naruto has where the result of demon chakra in the womb or some such and that they could ONLY form this way? in the womb? well both of Naruto’s kids have those marks, so that must mean they grew in his womb or canon in Naruto is as loose as the wallet of a dad trying to buy his child’s love.

So if y’all keep your mouths shut we could totally fucking sneak this into canon
