Not plant related....Thrift day!

We went to Goodwill today and scored some serious treasures. Michael grabbed the caddy at the end, which he found out to be worth a good amount of money. We aren't resellers but a valuable find is always exciting. I absolutely love the metals and asian decor. The mugs are so cute and will fit great with the home themed gift I'm putting together for some friends. Woodsy Christmas/Yule themes are my favorite so this Santa candle is also a win. I found the olive boots this time and the other boots a few trips back. I don't get shoes unless they're barely worn, it's feet. Happy day!

*poured red stuff out, was water and dye atop an old musky perfume bottle and was molding. Soaking in vinegar now and gonna think of a sustainable pretty liquid to put in him*

the last one isnt technically stobotnik but the vibes are related i think so it gets to be included in the spread

So I picked up this copy of The Giver from a Little Free Library box this summer.

I just looked inside today and saw that it was signed by Lois Lowry 30 years ago!!!

Love Little Free Libraries! You never know what treasures you’ll find!!!

Ogilvy Springer Spaniel | Douglas Cuddle Toys, 2018, Discontinued

Thrifted this a few months ago because she looks exactly like my childhood dog, a liver and white English Springer Spaniel. I love the details of the fur, it is similar to the way Springer Spaniels are groomed. Even has a docked tail!

This was really dirty when I got it. I had to wash the whole thing and use stain remover. Cleaned up nicely though, and the long fur brushed out without issue.

NPR: My son created some paintings today and this one is perfect for the frame I picked up a couple of weeks back. I polished one of the brass vases but still need to do the other one. Love it 🤩

Today I unearthed a dog-eared paperback copy of Jane Eyre at the thrift store (for 1€!!), and it still smells like someone’s tiny flat in the 1970s. There are notes in the margins, in green ink no less, that say things like ‘too dramatic’ and ‘poor Helen’—like, who were you, mysterious annotator?

And now I’m in my favorite café with a cherry danish and this perfect book, reading, daydreaming, pretending it’s raining outside, trying to decide if I’m more of a Jane or a Helen what about you?
