Went Doll Thrifting recently

So Yesterday (Monday) I decided to hit up the thrift store right by my house on the way back from lunch. I saw they had crhistmas stuff out already and became upset. In Terms of Dolls, it was 2 Boxes of Miillies, a 2013 Mattel Princess Anna, a Party and Play Stacie, or possibly Todd. I say possibly because while they had Stacie's pink soccer outfit and the doll was headless so IDK for sure which one they were. They also had this 80s Barbie who was Too Cute to Pass up:

Her hair is cut on one side and her legs and one of her arms is loose, but she's super cute regardless. I still need to style her hair

Today I ended up heading into the Old Downtown area by me once again to check out the thrift and antique stores:

The Vintage Vault Antique store had some nice collector barbies and a handful somewhat overpriced 90s barbies but other wise not much

I also checked out a near by Thrift/Collectibles sore that also had plenty of somewhat overpriced 90s Barbies. They also had a few Vintage 60s/70s Gi Joes but I didn't see or ask how much they were. The other stores I checked out had no fashion dolls.

Lastly I hit up good 'ol 2nd Chances, a thrift store that has been VERY good to me for Barbie stuff. Last Feb-March I made 3 separate trips spending FAR more than I should have on A LOT of new in box 80s and 90s barbie stuff, it was awesome. Anyways aside from the glass case pictured they had some Kenner Miss America Dolls, some Maxie Dolls, and a Hasbro Sindy. Some Cool stuff but nothing I Really wanted or needed to have right now.

There are some other places by me that are bit farther out I might hit up when it starts cooling down like the Antique Mall and some of the farther out thrift shops.

Guess who found a genuine Franken-doll out in the wild? Me!

It was crazy! I was at the thrift with my dad, when I saw her wrapped in plastic at the bottom of a bin.

Obvi. I freaked out because I knew her head was 1968 “Hair Fair” Barbie’s and she was marked at $2.

So I forewent my usual inspection, opting to just run to the counter and buy her in my excitement.

It was only when I got home and removed her clothes to clean her that I realized that she was not on the right body.

So now I’m on the hunt for her OG body and a head to go with the one she’s on right now. The body she currently occupies is older than her—so I was thinking about trying to find like a bubble-cut head or an “American Girl” head.

I found this Holly at the thrift store. I guess I’m mostly familiar with the earlier releases of EAH because I don’t remember them looking this intense. 😭

I don’t have any clothes for her right now, so she’s borrowing G3 Lagoona’s.

Went thrifting today and saw this gorgeous doll. It reminded me of Ethel and it had a long ponytail and everything. Didn't end up buying it but I might next time around. ♡
