The city of Townsville, a kind place full of kind people and a kind family!

and look! There are the PowerPuff Girls! 

Settled outside in their front yard on a breezy spring day, 

Charms beads ribbons and strings 

Weaving braiding and crafting these things!

and look! there's Professor Utonium!

Tending to the flora, tending to the garden,

With glove hat and shears in hand 

Maintaining the grounds, oh my! What a man!

The girls are settled on a gingham blanket, their crafting supplies sprawled about.

"Crafting, Crafting, Crafting!", Bubbles sings with her coloring books and crayons nearby. 

Blossom has a focused stare, threading each bead with absolute precision. 

"Aw man! I can't get this stupid pattern right!", Buttercup huffs in frustration. 

As she stomps away from the blanket, a Townsville citizen passes by looking toward the failed effort. You know exactly what that is! 

"Hi! Are you trying a Chevron?", you ask.

"... Yeah.", Buttercup relents reluctantly. 

"I can help you if you'd like! I used to do these all the time."

"You know how to make friendship bracelets!!!", Bubbles cheers.

"Yep, I was a Girl Scout!"

"Would you like to join us?", Blossom invites.

"Sure! Thanks."

You find a spot on the blanket and start undoing Buttercup's bracelet. 

"... You start is like this."

"... then go over right here-"

"Then you tie it off and you're done!"

"Wow! Your bracelet is so pretty!", Bubbles says in awe.

"It's MINE- she made it for ME!", Buttercup clarifies. 

"Yours or Buttercup's , can you make me one?", Blossom requests. 

"Ooh! Me too! Me too!", Bubbles cries.

"Of course! May I use the charms?", you comply. 

You spend the entire afternoon making bracelets for the PowerPuff Girls, each customized and designed by the owner. Bubble's bracelet uses white, black, and blue. It has charms of dolphins, squirrels, flowers, and stars. Blossom's bracelet uses red, black, and pink. It has charms of beads, hearts, bows, and fruits. Buttercup's bracelet uses green, black, and white. It has charms of diamonds, crescent moons, and candies. 

As the sun sets, you finish the last touches and say your goodbyes. You spent the evening with the PowerPuff Girls! 

Any charms and ribbons left unused you asked to keep and when you get home you start on your own. Your own bracelet, your own memory of the moment spent with your city's heroines.

blossom had a bow in her hair, and she was currently wearing a sweater also with tiny little pictures of animals with bows on them as she walked through town. it was a nice town, but it was no city of townsville. she missed her home, but she was glad that her sisters were here with her, but she worried about the professor, as she had yet to see him in town. “do you think townsville is okay without us?” she asked buttercup, looking up from the ground as she turned to glance at her sister.

It's a freaky Friday in Townsville, as an experiment that was supposed to turn apples into oranges went awry when the machine causes everyone in Townsville to switch bodies, with only their souls, superpowers, and vocal cords staying put. Yup, it’s that trope again. This is the second half hour episode of the series. On the plus side, that means they could be as creative as possible in the fight scene where the bodies constantly switch. On the negative side, it’s quite clear when the episode needed to stretch a scene to fill the half-hour. Still, it’s a pretty interesting take on the “body switch” concept. (4/5)

Why CW’s live-action Powerpuff Girl will FAIL

Okay. I usually don’t do this but I need to give my thoughts to this.

On August 24, CW announced that they will be making a live-action reboot/sequel of the Powerpuff Girl, where they will be young adults  who resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting. The articles I used to confirm this are from Variety and EW. Like the 2016 reboot,  Craig McCracken isn’t at all involved. As of the time of me typing this, he hasn’t given out his thoughts. 

Now, I can already see several issues with this. The first is that this is a reboot announced a year after another reboot has canceled. The 2016 reboot is hated by fans of the original show for various reasons, such as not including Craig McCracken, forcing fan-favorite characters, such as Ms. Bellum, to leave, having underage characters to TWERK under the influence in the episode Painbow, which was produced by Julia Vickerman, a pedophile, flanderized the main characters to be unlikeable and OOC, and many more. The 2016 reboot is extremely disrespectful to the original show, its fans, and McCracken. When fans asked for a reboot, studios should get the original creator to make sure it’s done properly and with care, not as marketing to sell toys or to push of how “diverse and woke” they are as they are ignoring racism, sexism, and homophobia in their studios. No one needs another reboot or sequel, especially when the original creator isn’t involved. Just look at Nick. They waited for Stephen Hillenburg (May he rest in peace) to DIED to make a Kamp Koral, knowing that he was against it. 

My second issue with this is that CW will botch this. The plotline of this reboot is that the Powerpuff Girl are disillusioned young adults who hated crime-fighting because it prevented them from having a childhood. This is already bad if you are remotely aware of how Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup had done in their lives. They have many friends, play with children their age, have a great relationship with their father, Professor Utonium, and there are several episodes where the girls are not crime-fighting at all. So, the reboot’s plot doesn’t make any sense since the girls clearly had a childhood during the original show.

My third issue is the eventual marketing. I can already predict the stupid marketing of this reboot. “ThIs Is AbOuT gIrL pOwEr AnD fEmInIsM!! If YoU lIkE iT, yOu ArE a MiSoGyNiSt!!!” Honestly, these studios kept ignoring the bad marketing of Ghostbusters 2016. (My thoughts on this is that Sony believes that all of the fans who enjoy the original Ghostbusters are misogynistic and racist trolls even though it was a very small minority. If you don’t like the movie, it’s okay.) Diversity and feminism should NEVER be used as advertisement and this can hurt women of color who want to make a show. This Twitter thread explains it better than I do. Now, getting back course, I won’t be surprised if CW doesn’t this. If the live-action reboot fails, which I’m pretty sure it will, they will say how “misogynistic man-children” hate it because it has female main characters. They will ignore that movies like Wonder Women, Captain Marvel, and Mad Max: Road Fury, animation like The Owl House, Kim Possible, and Steven Universe (despite the toxic fandom), and live-action shows like Buffy: The Vampire Slayer have MASSIVE success. It’s important to have a good story and give the characters a personality. Hell, look at the She-Ra reboot. It’s a major success and the fans of the original loved it.

My fourth and final issue is that the studio ignores other sequels and reboots that the original creators WANTED to do. This can’t be more true than Galactic Kids Next Door. Mr. Warburton wants to make a sequel to Codename: Kids Next Door. He even started a campaign to get Cartoon Network to pitch it so it can at least be a movie or a mini-series. However, the executives refused. I believe that they believe it won’t sell enough toys, which I found to the dumbest shit ever. Cartoon Network, you are NOT Hasbro!! You should NEVER put your objective into selling toys. (This is how Thundercats 2011 and Young Justice got gutted. Legends of Chima toys are cheaper to make than Thundercats and teenage girls love seeing Young Justice, which the executives don’t want since the toys are marketed to boys. Fortunately, Young Justice is back.) Just stay at producing good shows.

So, that is my thoughts on this. This is just my opinion.

I’m doing a reds one-shot for once. They’re in highschool, they actually have fingers and stuff so yea, some fluff.

Blossom leaned against the principle’s desk, her bright pink eyes burning with suspicion and slight confusion. “See Blossom, Butch and Boomer have already arrived a couple of days back, since Brick here is now just here, I find it best that you…”

“Watch him?” Blossom finished, her gaze meeting a pair of blue eyes behind her. “Uh, excuse me, but I’m fully capable of taking care of myself,” Blossom’s counterpart intervened, his burning red eyes narrowed. “The only reason you’re here is because the mayor practically forced you here,” Blossom coolly replied. “I’m surprised you even came, although it was fairly late. Afraid that you might not meet up to the expectations?”

“I’m not going to meet up with the ‘expectations’, more realistically, I’ll go beyond them,” Brick bitterly replied, Blossom scoffing at such a comment before going towards the door. “I’ve set Brick on a different schedule, and if he causes any trouble, I’ll be sure to contact you, Miss Utonium,” The principle said shortly after.

Blossom nodded, keeping a firm gaze on Brick’s red glare. The principle being the brave soul she was dared to break the silence, a small smile spreading across her lips, “Ah, 2:34, the two of you should be heading home.”

Brick wet his lips briefly before he headed for the door, Blossom exiting first, a dark glance passing between them before she left, soon after was him. A faint “Have a good day,” was heard before the door was shut and they were on their way out the school.

Blossom’s lengthy red hair flew about, stray strands meeting with the cool winds. She could hear the rhythmic pattern of Brick’s steps a good six feet away, slightly irritating her as she could feel his dark gaze burning into her neck.

She pursued her lips, shattering the eerie silence as she parted her lips to speak, “Buttercup and Bubbles may have befriended Butch and Boomer, but those policies don’t apply to us, and I hope that’s clear.”

A small forced laugh escaped Brick’s lips, “Crystal.” She nodded, keeping her same pace as she patted at her beige and white sweater and clean jeans. She drowned slightly as she tugged at a loose thread, snapping it which seemed to have caught Brick’s attention.

It couldn’t have been that loud?

Wait, he had powers as well..

“Something’s wrong,” She finally muttered, spinning on her heel to face her counterpart dead in the eye. “Your brothers haven’t caused any trouble at all during their short time here. Why?” She queried, the need for an answer etching behind her smooth voice.

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Brick questioned as if it was obvious, shoving his hands into his Jean pockets. “I-I don’t know, you and your brothers have a reputation since you have.. matured, I understand you guys have grown up and all, but I would have thought you would still be.. criminals?” Blossom suggested, her pink gaze hardening.

“Why does it matter to you?” Brick questioned, slightly arching a brow. “That’s a very stupid question to ask,” Blossom retorted crossing her arms. “I’m a superhero, I get to the bottom of things. And you, my friend in which you are not, are the reason why.”

“Hah, find that hard to believe,” Brick sardonically muttered, his gaze starting to cool. “You avoided my question,” Blossom restarted smoothly uttered, lacing her arms together before her chest. “As did you,” Brick countered, her gaze didn’t even falter at the slightest.

“That was your opinion, not a question.”

“Why aren’t you here to cause chaos, madness, destruction? I appreciate the fact that you aren’t, but I don’t understand why.”

“What I’m hearing is that you want us to go back to being criminals, causing chaos, am I right?”

“You’ve ignored my question again.”

“Then what do you want me to say?”

That was it, Blossom curled her fingers around the collar if his shirt, bunching it up and dragging him down to eye level, barely a gap between them. “Why are you here?” she huskily whispered, his firm red gaze slightly faltered, startled by the sudden violence.

“Why can’t I be here?” He responded in the same tone, his teeth gritting against one another. “You can’t return to Townsville without a reason in mind, you and your brothers are criminals. Buttercup and Bubbles may have softened up on their counterparts, but I haven’t on mine.”

“So I’m 'yours’ now?” Brick restated, a smirk twitching at the tip of his lips. A faint blush managed to redden her face before she licked her lips and shook her head. “There’s no way I would have ever said that,” Blossom scoffed, her fist clenching tighter around his collar.

“Heh,” He gave a short laugh before mumbling something.

“Now what was that?” She questioned, quirking am eyebrow.

“Go to hell.”

She learned forward, their cheeks gently pressing together as she whispered quietly into his ear, a strand of his red hair crushing against her forehead.

“I’d tell you the same thing, but you’d probably just feel at home.”

               his voice is so soft it makes her heart ache. “i wouldn’t,” buttercup says immediately, settled in the chair beside his hospital bed. he looked like total shit when they got him here. there was so much blood  ---  god he could have died. if it weren’t for chemical x, he would have died. he’s still so frail. the doctors warned about letting him fall asleep, but they did that because they HAD to. first: do no harm. they would take care of him, give him the treatment he needs, but she can tell from the cold look in their eyes that they wouldn’t be happy about it. she doesn’t care, so long as they do what has to be done.

               buttercup’s hand reaches out to her big brother, threading their fingers together. they’re not the touchy feely type, but she needs this  ---  needs to feel his warm skin against hers, the faint flutter of his heart beneath his skin. she needs to know he’s alive. cleaned up now, he doesn’t look so awful. the wounds have been dressed and by this time tomorrow, she’s sure they’ll be healed. they fix themselves up fast, the utonium kids. buttercup squeezes his hand. this will be better by tomorrow.

               “bubbles and blossom are going to be here in a little bit,” buttercup says. bubbles had gone home to tell the professor what happened and blossom is talking to the doctors. even down the hall, buttercup can hear what they’re saying. blossom is as close to threatening them as she ever gets to threatening anyone. their big brother NEEDS to be taken care of. no one is to slack off just because he’s made some bad decisions in the past. that’s exactly how she phrased it, too: bad decisions.

               she doesn’t tell him that the professor is coming too. that would upset him. as much as jojo hates him, he’s still his father. he still worries. he probably won’t ask to see him unless jojo will have him, but he still wants to be nearby. as close as he can be. just like the rest of them.

               “i’m right here, jojo,” she promises. “i’m not going anywhere.”
