i was just as moved by ellen and thomas as the next guy but it drives me crazy seeing the number of people who are vehemently against the idea that she could also be into orlok as well when the cast and the director have all shared that there’s mutual yearning between them

i honestly think that if they made him pretty and kept bill’s face there wouldn’t even be as much discourse because almost every vampire ever has been portrayed as predatory and monstrous. you just hate the idea that we can like ellen/orlok because he looks “ugly” lol

robert even says himself that she has a husband who loves her and she loves him, but he doesn’t *get* her and that the only two people who do would be von franz and orlok. i did read her as a victim as well but i also see it this way:

abuse can absolutely coexist within their relationship but don’t try to deny that there was romantic or sexual tension there or call us deranged when we do see it. it’s complicated the way vampire and human relations have always been depicted.

like the salvatore brothers and edward cullen were crazy as hell too but nobody ever goes as far as victimizing their love interests this hard or claiming that they “didn’t really want them”

I am not an expert in the symbol but it’s Yuuko Ichihara so what could be more fitting than that?

I also just love the gentle posing of it all. Watanuki draped sideways and vulnerable, his neck exposed and his head turned the other way - but sheltered by Yuuko, held in place by the gentlest touch of her fingers on his forehead. It’s beautiful and speaks of the protection and careful shelter she’s provided for him all this time, especially now that we know just how vulnerable he was to Evil Wolverine without us ever knowing. But this is Yuuko after all, so of course she could pull that off with effortless grace and a sly look directly at the camera at the same time.

Also the COLOURS?

The contrasting yellow-orange and purple-blue of each of their kimonos? Matching the same colours as Watanuki's eyes?? But near their hands their different coloured lillies flow into each other as if they were one and the same? Or two halves of the same thing? Or the end of one being the start of the other?

Paint my entire wall with this I want to stare at it forever.

When Lilith pulled panels of fabric and bags of materials out of the back of her Uber, she didn't think about people watching her like she looked insane. Running her teeny tiny boutique in Hell's Kitchen was her dream and every piece of lingerie was something she'd dreamt up or made to help someone else's dreams come true. She didn't have employees and if she needed a pair of hands she harassed her siblings into being those people. Littlest sibling perks, she called it. Nevertheless, eyes were on her as she bent over the back seat in her tiny denim cut offs. Stumbling into her shop once she got the door unlocked, Lili struggled to the back where she made garments to dump her goods. They'd hardly left her arms before she heard the door chime. "Coming!" She hollered, breathless, and then hustled their way.

Stopping in her tracks, rosy cheeked and doe-eyed, Lilith looked up-up-up the length of the man in her shop, "Hi there. You looking for something special?" Her voice was soft and she cleared her throat, "I just got back in for the day. I usually look more put together than this." She didn't, but he didn't need to know that. Her sisters were always telling her that she needed to stop wearing cut up shorts, dying her hair plum purple, and knotting vintage tees at her waist. They'd even tried gifting her comfortable minimalist attire to get her through her time with clients. At the end of the day, Lili let her work speak for itself.

lily wasn't fond of going to the grand treasure plaza most days so she'd often wind up at the mall instead, sipping on her coffee and reading a book usually alone. her parents often pushed her to make friends, any really and she did and does but it still takes her time to actually open up to those people. lost in her book she reached for her coffee and knocked the cup over, spilling it's contents onto the table. "shit," she swore under her breath and raced to find some paper towels, cleaning up the mess while still cursing under her breath feeling embarrassed.

Soulmates au pureshadow would go hard especially with the Red String of Fate variety because. Strings. Puppetry. I’d imagine that pv was always curious about his soulmate, and once he attempted to follow the string only to have to stop because it was going over the ocean. Anyway time skip, the gang is going to Beast-Yeast, and pv notices with growing curiosity that they’re actually going in the direction of his string. More story stuff happens, they get to the village n stuff, and pv is hit with overwhelming dread as he realizes the string leads directly into the tree. The sealed tree. With the Beasts inside of it.

Calla was Lila's fairy godmother in agos and made her have an unexpected Cinderella moment when she wanted a disguise to attend the party. Calla believed Lila wanted to get pretty for Kell because she assumed they were together so she gave her the dress and did her hair and make up and subtly told her: go get him, tiger <3 Bring Kell's guard down he will fall even more for you it will make him look stupid and at the end of the night he would 100% want to rip this dress off you like the feral kitties that you both are

it was hardly difficult to miss the bonfire , its flames were steady and warm - probably charmed to not burn out until commanded . but lily still hugged the warmed butterbeer to her chest , finding an open seat that was ( thankfully ) by a familiar person . ❝ how rare to find you alone , ❞ she says with a tilt to her lips , turning her body to sirius . ❝ the parade or the ghost duels not your cup of tea ? ❞

Weaving progress for Athena's shrine cloth! It's definitely not perfect but I'm enjoying it. All of the weft yarn so far is either undyed (white) or dyed by me. iirc the light tannish yarn was dyed with tea bags and the dark yellow was dried spearmint. I've got some light blue yarn from Aunt Jenny Makes that I felt like I should add prepped and ready to go for the next time I work on it
