When I look at these cards, I think of everything in my past that brought me here. The knowledge that I've gained has enabled me to look back and forgive myself for perceived mistakes. My husband came home from the hospital today. He needs warmth and gentleness right now as he heals. I need to give him love and light. This evening, I asked the card “What did I learn today?” I drew cards from The Threadbound Oracle. Sometimes when change comes, it’s not big and splashy but soft and gentle. I’ve been trying to change the say I think about myself in terms of my self-worth. I’ve had to learn about myself again in order to find balance and change the way I think about myself. My husband has helped a lot with this, but I can actually look in the mirror and I like myself. I’m working on love, but I think it says a lot more than I like myself, too. I can love myself, but liking someone on a continual basis, especially yourself, takes a lot of work. I’m breathing a sigh of relief. This evening, I asked the cards “What did I learn today?” I drew The Flame and The Ritual from The Threadbound Oracle. ⭐ This evening, I finished round two edits on my novella for Christmas. I’ve been so focused on the writing and the editing of it. It’s filled my world and my mind, and I can’t believe that it’s almost ready to go out into the world. This evening, it occurred to me that writing for me is part creative endeavour and part ritual. Every time I set a word to paper, it’s like another layer to the spell that I’m weaving. 🌟 Throughout the story, my light and the flame that is me shines through. Ever since I started writing about people that are disabled or challenged in some way, the stories have become more personal to me, living with a disability as I do. Even though this story is about superheroes, I thought it was rather fitting. This evening I asked the cards “What did I learn about myself today?” I drew the Six of Ink and The End from The Threadbound Oracle. I learned to go with the flow today, to just enjoy life for what it is instead of worrying about what it will bring. I’ve been so afraid for so long now that it almost feels like a second skin. For a while, I’ve tried to turn away from that fear and focus on other things to take my mind off of what is coming, but it’s always there in the back of my head. I’ve become over sensitive and tired. I’m exhausted and we I haven’t even gotten to the medication change. I can’t keep going this way. I don’t know what it will do, but I do know that I can’t be afraid to live my life of what will come around the corner. I will meet everything as I’ve always done, head on. I will enjoy whatever life brings me, must as I enjoyed today. I went with the flow and learned not to keep emotion in. It’s also okay to be afraid. That is part of the emotions that run through me and I can’t run away from them. This evening, I asked the cards "What have I learned today?" I drew the Three of Paper: Fold and Two of Ink: Medium from The Threadbound Oracle. Today I did...nothing. Well that's not really true. I read, I relaxed, I took a nap and spent a great amount of time on the balcony. This is a change from what I would normally do and fill up my time. I actually gave myself a day of rest. I'm learning to listen to my body. I have a purpose in my life, everyone does. However I can't sparkle if I don't keep the light alive. In order to keep the light shining, I have to learn to give myself time to grow and change. Rest is so important for that. When I sat down to write today, the words poured out. I lost track of time and lost myself in the story. The novel is taking me places that I had never dreamed of. When I see these cards, I am drawn to think of my current work in progress. There is an abundance of words that want to fall onto the page to tell the story. I'm having so much fun writing it.
