WHO: naomi stevens. pod cast host. bisexual. alisha wainwright fc. OPEN TO: anyone 25+
naomi's headphone hung around her neck as the two of them ended the pod cast for the evening. "thank you for being a guest again. i know everyone's going to love the show," she started and shifted her microphone away partially. "and i know i enjoyed myself. feel free to, you know, stop by if you ever just want to hang out." she hoped she didn't sound desperate but she was only being honest. she really did have fun and it'd been a while since she'd enjoyed any of her guests the way she enjoyed them.

she nodded her head in response to his words, "i've done a couple of shows on all of that. i'm still trying to get one of the girls that worked with manson to come on my show but i don't know if i'll ever be able to talk any of them into it." and a part of her wondered, despite how they'd aged, if she should be alone with them recording a show. naomi didn't allow her fear to show though, not when it came to things she was interested in.
"oh yeah? funny how timing works," she paused, laughing at his question when he asked what she did before the podcast. "i worked at a bank. it was boring and i felt like i was wasting my life. i wanted to do something i enjoyed and i enjoy the podcast."
"Well there's plenty of crossover between crime and the supernatural. Son of Sam. Charles Manson. Cults in general. Saranism. I bet you have loads of material for then," he offered. "No problem. It was a welcome change from my day to day," he welcomed her thanks.
Three years was a good bit of time for her to be doing her show. It was almost the same amount of time he'd been employed by the bureau. And if his work was any indication of the way things worked in the world, a lot could happen in just a few years.
"You started your show right around the time I got into the bureau. It was special forces before that," he commented as if his work history was common knowledge. "What'd you do before the casts?" he asked genuinely curious as he took a turn toward the restaurant.

naomi stared at him as he went on, shaking her head in response. they were neighbors, hung out here and there, but since she’d found out he was injured she had to check in. “please tell me you’re not going to get back together with your ex girlfriend.” she spoke, pausing to pop a couple of french fries in her mouth. “everyone and i mean everyone knows that getting back together with you ex is a stupid idea in anyone’s case but especially yours. it’s not that she’s not nice or whatever but she’s a total wreck. you’re far too mature to be with someone like that. what do you see in her anyways?”

“-oh god,” she grimaced. naomi was a clutz if anything else. she was smart and good at her job but her hand eye coordination wasn’t there and that’s how her boss’ cup of coffee ended up in his lap. “do you have a change of clothes here or should i go pick up your dry cleaning?” being a personal assistant consisted of a lot of these tasks so it’s not like she’d mind. the main thing she was worried about in this moment was potentially losing her job for something that was definitely an accident but she wasn’t necessarily sure how the other was going to react. “please tell me what i can do.”

WHO: Naomi Lu. Personal Assistant. 28. PLOT: here (second bullet included)
the last thing she expected to have to deal with today is shoving her belongings in the back of her toyota 4runner with no place to go. her parents weren’t an option. her siblings were even less of an option. her friends were all married and the last thing she wanted to do was act as some sort of third wheel when she’d just had her heart ripped out of her chest. she sighed, finding herself in front of her now ex boyfriend’s siblings place. she slowly made her way toward their door and knocked on it, her sad eyes meeting theirs when they swung the door open. “...i have no where else to go. can i...just crash here for tonight?”

Naomi stood there looking over at the guy for a brief moment, she was glad to finally be seeing him face to face. As she followed to him, he handed the water to her and she smiled listening to his story and laughed, "Oh my gosh I am going to have to get this on vlog but I will get you to sing once this week." She giggled looking at him, "That is a pretty great story! I can't believe that the world doesn't know this about you yet."
@strawberrylaceswrites continued from here Andrew for some reason felt slightly nervous around the girl but was also glad to finally meet her after all this time. They had two other friends who lived in his area who they were spending most of the week with so it was okay. But being alone with her in person felt surreal in a good way. He walked towards getting the water before he looked at her, "Family stories huh? Well my dad is a teacher as you know and he thinks he can also teach people how to sing, lets just say he tried to teach me and my brother and sister how to sing, it didn't go very well. We still can't sing." He laughed a little as he handed her the water.

naomi didn't have a lot of suitors trying to woo her. in fact, she spent so much time working that most of who tried to approach her was intimidated by how independent she was. hopefully, the same didn't go for alex. she had high hopes for what might happen between the two of them once they got off work. "i'm a big movie buff. i'm always watching something in my free time. outside of that, i'm usually hanging out with friend. we like to try new places when we can. you're welcome to tag along at some point." that is, if he did decide he wanted to see her again.
"You got it." Alex grinned as Naomi gave him the green flag to flirt with her. Waiting for her to get into the vehicle he then walked around to get in himself. "Alright, let's go." With a smile her way, Alex tucked the seat belt and started the car, soon they were on the streets. "So, Naomi, what's there to know about you? We talked a lot about lots of things but I don't know much of the woman behind the mic." He started. "Like hobbies, uh... friends.... or are you single?" Sure they were going out for dinner, she said it was alright to flirt with her but that didn't mean she wasn't seeing someone; it wouldn't change his intentions about trying to woo her enough for a second, or rather real date, but he wanted to know where she stood in that area.

a smile managed to take over her face as the other spoke, "of course. you're welcomed back any time." naomi was more than willing to allow him to star on another episode of her pod cast. he'd been a pleasure to have and on top of that, he was certainly nice to look at. that wasn't something that she was afraid to admit. "is that so? well, flirt away. your job here is done." she cooed, her smile widening further, which seemed impossible but it wasn't. "i'm up for anything. if you know a place, i'd love to check it out." and with that, she climbed into his jeep and buckled herself up. tonight, she hoped, would be a night to remember.
"We might not get anywhere because if that's your excuse, I should be thanking you for giving me a space to share my thoughts, so..." Alex grinned with their back and forth while getting ready. "Wings it is." He was quickly to agree, he'd worry about his diet tomorrow at the gym. Naomi's words got him perking up and holding back a chuckle before shrugging. "Well I do find you attractive, I was planning on flirting now the job is done, sorry if it's not a surprise any more " he laughed. "And the only right way of eating wings is by getting a bit dirty. Nothing wrong or unsexy about it." He smirked. "I know a place that have the best wings. It's a couple of minutes away driving." As they reached the street Alex unlocked his shiny black jeep and opened the passenger door for Naomi.

naomi watched as he pulled his phone out and then slid it over to her. she couldn't help but to smile at the action and she wasted no time grabbing the device and typing her phone number in. once the contact information was saved, she handed it back over to her. "i think so but, i guess i'll be the one waiting for your text now. after all, you do have my number." she hoped that he would text her. after all, she was more than looking forward to talking to him some more outside of all of this. her smile grew as he mentioned taking her out and she nodded, "nope. my entire day was cleared for you. so, should we get out of here?"
caleb didn't care if his manager was pretending to be on his phone and not listening. he didn't really care who heard or saw. she wasn't the type of girl to hide and caleb had no intentions of it. he grins at her words before he's pulling his phone out of his pocket. he hadn't touched it the entire pod. which, despite how sad it is, was a good indication that he was enthralled by her. he opens a new contact and slides it over to her. "oh yeah? you think you'll wanna use it? might actually call me." caleb laughs softly. he feels warm all over at the idea of laying up in his bed excited for her texts. it's kinda embarrassing how he's mapped it out already. "could maybe take you out unless you got another important guest waitin."

naomi couldn't help but laugh at his mention of fighting her for the bill. "come on, let me get it. it's like a thank you for coming on the show." even so, she had a feeling that he was not going to let up and allow her to take care of the bill. still, she could at least try, right? she got up from her seat, watching as he grabbed his things and then let the man out of her studio. "alright, so, i don't know about you but i'm a huge wing fan. though, if we get wings, you have to promise you won't find me any less attractive if i have sauce on my face. that being, you do...you know, find me attractive."
Alex smile widened when Naomi accepted his suggestion, it had been a shot in the dark so the chances were 50/50 but he was glad to hear she was on board, whether it was to get to know someone interesting or if there was some attraction between to lead to something else. "Awesome, great. But listen, as good as we just got along..." He said in a serious tone and paused a few seconds before speaking again. "I'll fight you for the bill. For real." Alex went back to his grin. "Even if I didn't listen my mom about her 'no fighting' rule, she did raised a gentleman." Putting his leather jacket on his Bruins cap backwards on his head, he waited for Naomi to lead them out. "Is there any place you wanna go?" He wondered. "We go in my car if it's too far, then I get you back home." He offered.

naomi hadn't been on a date in quite a while and if she were being honest, she was enjoying the way he was treating her even if all he'd done was open the door for her. "awhile," she replied, lifting her shoulders up in a shrug, "at least three years. people seem to like listening to me talk, which is good because i feel like i always have something to talk about." she added with a light laugh. "well, mostly. during halloween, i branch off a little bit and talk about hauntings but it's usually crime. thanks for coming on my show by the way. i know the listeners will love it."
After holding open her door for her he headed over to the driver's seat. His mother would have been proud of how gentlemanly he was, all things in his life considered. "How long have you been doing...podcasts?" he asked as he drove, unsure if it was the right term for her show. Oscar was never one to keep up with the times, even in his youth, but he also wasn't one to avoid trying when the need arose. "Have they always been about crime?" he inquired further.

naomi's smiled widened in response to his words. "thank you." she didn't find herself all that charming but then again, she didn't see herself the way others did and so it was nice to know that he thought she had some charm, especially since she was slightly interested in seeing him again. or well, more than slightly but she was trying not to get too excited. she opened her mouth to speak again and then paused after he mentioned getting her number, "no need to put that in the contract. i could just, you know, give it to you."
caleb nods as he reminds himself there's other people in the room. there's more he wants to say. "you did, natural charm." he props his chin in his hand and stares at her. "use it on every guest?" caleb raises a brow in question. fishing for an answer he thinks he knows the answer to. he hopes he knows the answers. he leans forward a little bit on the desk. "yeah wanna see what you put in the nda." that grin on his mouth meets his eyes. "gunna put your number in it?"

the fans seemed to be more than thrilled to have the other on the show and she would be lying if she said that she wasn't a fan of his anyways. naomi had definitely been looking forward to this interview longer than she'd like to admit and she really didn't want thing between them to end, even if it was just supposed to be for work. though, he seemed to be on the same page and he seemed to want to hang out with her too. smiling at his words, she nodded her head. "i don't have anything going on. i'd love to go out for a drink. it's on me though. you know, as a thank you for coming on the show."
Alex liked attention, it was no secret, he liked to take part in thing and if he could do some good with that, the better, he used to be a lot less conscious in his younger years but he learned to make himself useful using his status as an NHL player; plus since comeing out as bisexual years ago he'd been speaking up in a lot of platforms. He was just a guy with a lot to say about everything. So, when he got invited to participate in a podcast, Alex didn't hesitate to say yes; he'd listen to Naomi's pod cast before, followed her on social media but he hadn't been ready for how gorgeous she was in person and how fun it'd been talking to her. "I hope so, I'll be waiting to check out what people say." Alex smiled. "I'd had a great time, thank you for having me." And at Naomi's proposition to hang out, he decided to take a chance at it. "How about now? I mean, if you don't have plans or work we could have a bite and a drink."

naomi didn't want the other to feel pressured into hanging out with her just because she had him on her show but she did want to give hanging out with him outside of all of this a shot. "well," she started and took in a deep breath, her eyes focused on the man across from her. "i was just about to go out and grab dinner. you're welcome to join me if you're not too busy?" she suggested.
Oscar removed his headphones and set them on the table. This was honestly a first for him - his work usually unkown and done without notice, but it had been fun to talk about some of his more memorable cases. "Yea. No problem. I'm flattered you invited me. It was nice to talk about a case without worrying I'm giving away too much for once," he welcomed her thanks with a small chuckle. "I just may take you up on that. I have a lot more than just fed talk you might be able to use too," he added, leaving the door open to get back together.

naomi was thankful that the two seemed to be on the same page when it came to what it was they were going to eat. then again, she wasn't all that picky when it came to food. shaking her head, she smiled at the man. "i'll come back later and clean things up. i'd...much rather get out of here and grab something to eat with you." she didn't want to work anymore. she wanted to get to know oscar a little more. "sounds good to me. let the way." she encouraged, a smile resting on her lips.
"Italian is one of my favorites," he agreed. "The good place it is," he further accepted. "Do you need any help shutting down before we go?" he asked over her content creation. He was glad she hadn't taken it as an insult when he offered to drive. Oscar may have been a hard ass when it came to his work, but he was chivalrous when it came to the fairer sex. Even if it was considered old fashioned nowadays. "I'll drive, you pay," he joked back.
