Noah bobbed slowly, getting used to the feel and pace of working someone’s cock in his mouth. He’d been blown plenty of times in his life by eager women, but this was the first time he was in the other role. It thrilled and fascinated him in equal measure, with no hint of fear. As Theo praised him, Noah moaned, the sound muffled yet approving. The feeling of Theo caressing his hair sent a wave of warmth over him, with contrasting goosebumps running across his skin at the touch. Within moments, Theo began encouraging him to take more, and not wanting to let him down, Noah obeyed. Gagging and slurping sounds started emanating loudly from him as he worked. He flicked his gaze up to meet Theo’s as he’d been told, too. He managed a slight nod at the question proffered to him. He also moaned in an attempt to signal his agreement, although a part of him realised that the enthusiasm of how he gave head would perhaps be the best signal of all.
@modcrnspirits
The artist felt no urge to say anything else. There was a moment to direct and one to watch the results of his guidance. And Noah did not disappoint. He moved slowly, as if taking every new aspect of the situation with enough resolve to taste it too. Theo's cock throbbed against the warmth of that tongue and soon he felt the boy taking more of him, inch by inch. His cock felt it could explode at any minute now - it was more than just the feeling of that tongue - it was the fact that Theo would get to fuck Noah quite well and good and his new model would do so obediently. That obedience could not be taken for granted and, in Theo's opinion, was one of the sexiest things another man could give him. "You are doing it just like you are supposed to." Theo's hands were simply caressing the back of Noah's head, as if he was a pup in training. "Try to take all of it now. Every inch. And then look up at me. I want you to try and answer me this: do you like obeying me? Think about it while you try to fit all of me down your throat."

FLUFF, they love each other and their kids <3
Word Count: 3687
Series here
Low whimpering and soft movements shook you from sleep as you rolled over to a sight you had seen many mornings in the past. Eddie was on top of Steve slowly riding him as the other boy softly smiled up at his blissed out face while languidly stroking his cock. You always wanted them to feel comfortable so you laid there quietly as you watched them like a work of art.
“There you go, baby.”, Steve whispered. “Fuck, you take me so well.”
Threading his fingers in his husband’s hair, he pulled his lips to his own as Eddie panted against them.
“Harder, Steve. Please.”
“Yeah? Is that you need, honey? I can do that for you.”
His large palms slide down the man’s back and grip his hips, thrusting up to meet his movements while he continued to bounce and roll his own waist above him.
Both men smirked when they heard you heavily sigh, knowing you were awake.
“Good morning, sweetheart.”
“I bet it is.”, you tease as he bites his bottom lip. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
“No interruption.”, Steve replies in his husky morning tone that you assume is what got the metalhead riled up.
Lifting the boy from him, he turns Eddie to face you on his side as he wraps his arms around him, spooning him from behind as he slides back into his entrance and thrusts his hips at a steady but firm pace.
After softly kissing your lips, the long-haired man rested his forehead on yours as he guided his fingers under your panties and through your core.
“Fuck, baby, you’re so wet.”
Placing your palm over his own, you cling to him as he pushes his middle and ring fingers into your center, groaning when they clench around him at the sound of Steve’s heavy, strangled moans.
“God, just like that, Steve. Shit.”, Eddie grunted as his hand matched the other boy’s rhythm.
“Oh, Eddie…”, you moan as his digits rapidly abuse your g-spot.
Taking ahold of his husband’s throat, Steve tilted his head back, kissing and nibbling on the man’s sweet spot as he thrust his release inside of him. While pumping Eddie’s cock with his hand, the metalhead folded into him as he came, trying to still focus on you as you guided his movements till your own release followed soon after.
You watched with heavy eyes as they continued to softly kiss each other before pulling you closer to do the same.
***
“Good job, Dylan!”, Steve cheered as his son hit the final homerun that ended the game with his school winning. You beamed as James clapped his tiny hands while Aurora danced in front of Eddie shouting her brother’s name in excitement.
After the obligatory high fives to the other team and everyone congratulating him, your daughter ran down the bleachers meeting Dylan halfway and tackling him with a big hug as he lifted her off her feet.
“That was amazing, baby.”, you praise as he flashes you a big smile.
“Thanks, mom. Hey, Noah invited me to lunch but I told him I was hanging out with you guys today and I would ask if I could come over for dinner.”
“Is that a long-winded way of saying you want to spend the night with Noah?”, Eddie jokes making his son laugh as he nods.
“I’m fine with that, my love.”, you smile as you tilt up to kiss his cheek.
“Oh my god. Is that Edward Munson and Steven Harrington in front of me?”
The three of you recognized the female voice immediately as you froze in place by your car. Steve exhaled loudly as he turned first, coming face to face with their ex.
“Hello Emily. Always a pleasure to see you.”
“Oh wow. Look at everyone in your family!”, she coos, her voice making you visibly cringe. “Is this the little boy I met before?!”
“Um, hi. I’m Dylan.” He extends his hand politely for her to shake making her giggle a bit too excitedly.
“I don’t know if you remember me. I saw you at your talent show in elementary. My niece was the young lady who danced.”
“Ooooh yeah. I remember you a bit.”
“That’s actually why we are here now. She goes to the school you just slaughtered.”
“Well, Emily, it’s been great catching up. We’re just going to—”
Aurora cuts off her father as she wiggles out of her brother’s embrace and extends her own tiny palm to the lady in front of her.
“Hello! I’m Aurora Munson-Harrington. It’s nice to meet you.”, she introduces with her big trademark smile. Before Emily can return the salutations, however, Eddie hastily lifted her in his arms, holding her away from his ex.
“Don’t touch my daughter.”
“Dylan, baby, why don’t you take Ro and James and get them buckled in, alright?”
Nodding, he grabbed the baby from your arms and tried to do the same with his sister but to his surprise his father wouldn’t let her go.
“Honey, it’s alright. Dylan won’t let anything happen to her.”, Steve soothed, comforting the man enough to release her from his hold. Rubbing his back, he tenderly kissed his cheek before turning his attention back to the woman in front of them.
“I see you didn’t take my advice. I guess I was wrong though, huh. I mean it’s been what… ten years?”
“12.”, you reply with distain ready to leave her behind.
“Was I also wrong about the genes? I’m guessing the girl came from Ed here? This is also new.”, she snarks as she points between the boys. “You two weren’t fucking when we were together.”
“Hm. Maybe because we didn’t feel comfortable being ourselves with you. Thankfully we found someone better. Come on, guys.”
As Steve tries to guide you both towards your vehicle, Eddie abruptly twists out of his embrace to face his ex.
“My daughter is perfect. She’s smart, funny, beautiful, and very creative. She loves art and is incredibly kind almost to a fault. She’s not trash and neither was I. You made me feel like I didn’t deserve kids of my own but now I have three. Fuck you, Emily.”
Without waiting for her reply, he spins on his heels and marches towards the car.
***
Steve sighs from his spot on the couch as he watches Eddie lazily strum his guitar. He had been melancholy since everyone had gotten home choosing to remain in his own head for the time being. James was on the floor in front of him fast asleep as he sucked his thumb while you and Dylan were in the kitchen browsing for things online while Aurora nibbled on the rest of her lunch.
“This is a cute little place for you and Daisy. It’s right by the school to.”
“Can we afford it?”
“I don’t see why not as long as you two aren’t scarfing pizza every night.”, you giggle as he lightly shoves your shoulder. Your eyes scan over him taking in the young man before you. He had grown up so much and you still hadn’t dealt with the fact that soon he wouldn’t just be upstairs or in the living room but a few states away. “I’m going to miss you, weirdo.”
His grin grows as he circles his arm around you and kisses your cheek.
“I’m going to miss you to, mom. I promise I’ll be here every holiday and a couple of weeks in the summer.”
“Where is Dylan going?”, Ro asked as she glanced your way.
“To college, sweetie, remember?”
“Yeah but… he’ll still be in the room next to mine…right?”
“Rara…”, her brother chuckled. “That would be a LONG drive every morning if I lived here. I’m moving in with Daisy to Virginia. I showed you on that map on my phone.”
Your mom Spidey sense began to sound off as her big chocolate eyes met yours before glaring at her brother.
“Aurora, baby, it’s ok. Like he said, he’s still going to come visit us and—”
“NO! NO, YOU CAN’T LEAVE!”
Both men promptly appeared in the kitchen trying to assess the situation as it unfolded and began to spiral.
“Ro, I don’t want to leave. I have to go to school—”
“Why do you HAVE to go so far away!?”
“I-I-I…”, he stumbled over his words as eyes pleaded with you guys for help.
“Aurora, Dylan is moving with Daisy so they can go to school together.”, Steve tried to assist but it just made her huff as she jumped off her chair and slammed her little feet to the ground.
“I hate Daisy! And I hate you, Dylan! You’re mean!”
“Ro…”
Ignoring her brother, she turned and ran up the stairs banging her bedroom door shut for emphasis.
“I got her.”
“No.”, Steve intercepted as he placed his palm on Eddie’s chest. “I know you’re not 100%. I can handle it.”
“Whatever.”, the metalhead sighed as he headed towards the entry way and threw on his jacket.
“Hey, what does that mean?”
“It means, whatever, Steven.”
“I’m just trying to help.”
“Yeah, sure. As long as you’re the hero, right?”
“Eddie…” The man tried to reach for his arm to stop him but flinched when his husband pulled away angrily.
“I can handle my kids. I can handle my parents and I sure as hell could have handled Emily!”
You and Steve watched with equally confused eyes as he matched his daughter’s tantrum, banging loudly out the front door.
“Wait here, kid, ok?”
Dylan nodded at your instruction as you ran after Steve who promptly trailed frustratingly after the man he loved.
“Eddie, what the fuck are talking about?! You did handle her today; extremely well in fact.”
“Thanks, Harrington. Glad I got your approval.”, he muttered under his breath, sighing as you skidded in front of him, blocking entry to his van.
“Baby, you always shut down like this when it comes to her. I know you’re not mad at him or me. Just talk to us, Eddie, please.”
Tenderly, he kisses your forehead before firmly but gently moving you aside as he gets behind the wheel and drives off into the night.
##########
Eddie exhales heavily as he takes a long swig of the beer in his bottle.
“Nick, another please.”
The man is startled when a hand pats his back and his son throws himself onto the stool beside him.
“Dylan? How the hell did you get in here?”
“I don’t know if you noticed, dad, but this place isn’t restricted to people under 21 anymore.”, he smiles as he flashes him the big X on the back of his hand signaling he’s underage. “I don’t know if you two know this either but mom hates when you both leave like that when you’re upset. When you come home she’s going to pretend she’s not but…”
“How’s Ro?”
“I don’t know. She still won’t talk to me. Dad’s trying to calm her down but he’s having a bit of a meltdown himself. I mean the only one who’s not upset right now is James.”, the boy chuckles sullenly. “Can I ask what happened? Or does it involve taxes?”
They both laugh at the memory before Eddie leans back in his seat and stares into the void.
“That woman we saw today… That’s Steve and I’s ex; the one right before your mom. It didn’t end well.” The metalhead told him the story they had told you many years ago after your first encounter with her. Dylan listened intently, absorbing his words and frowning when he told her about Emily never wanting his kids.
“Fuck her.”, he swore making his father laugh as he spit some of his beer back into its bottle. “I mean come on. You’re a great dad and Aurora is absolutely wonderful.”
“Yeah, she is. You all are.”
“Can I ask why you felt like you needed to leave?”
Eddie sighs as he tries to figure out how to word what he’s feeling.
“Growing up my parents made me feel like trash you throw away especially when my mom left me with my uncle. When we were dating Emily she made me feel the same. She wanted to throw me away and be with Steve. I, honestly, think you and your mom are the first people to not make me feel garbage you cast aside.”
“And Steve.” The metalhead’s eyes meet Dylan’s as he softly smiles. “Dad would have been that first non-Munson to do that.”
“Yeah…”
“And that makes you feel bad.”
“Jesus Christ, you little therapist. Yes, it makes me feel bad.”, he laughs. “Y/N has always been there and defended me which I love but Steve’s always gone that extra mile you know. Throwing himself on the preverbal sword so to speak. Usually, I just let him do his thing but, I don’t know, I guess Emily just really hurt me and I never really got to tell her to fuck off.”
“Why don’t you tell her now?”
Dylan gestures with his head and his father follows his eyeline just in time to see his ex sauntering their way.
“I swear to God, like a fucking virus this woman. Nick! I’ll see you later.”, he announces as he throws money on the bar.
“Hey Eddie. What are you doing out and about? Where’s Steve?”
“Steve is at home with our wife and other 2 kids. He’s spoken for Emily. Let it go.”
“Said the man who gave me shit in a stadium parking lot.”
The metalhead chuckles under his breath as he turns to face her.
“See the only difference is Steve dumped your ass after you said everything you wanted to say. I never got that luxury. I came home from work and you were gone. I hope you know what you missed out on. All of my kids especially Aurora are amazing and my marriage between Y/N and Steve are way better than I could have ever dreamed. That could have been your life but you were too much of a selfish bitch to care about anyone except yourself.”
As both boys headed towards the parking lot, Emily drunkenly trailed behind.
“Listen to you taking about marriage like what you have with of them is real.”, she spat. “Because of you, you denied Steve a real marriage with a real family! You’re the selfish one! I loved him, Eddie.”
“No, you didn’t. If you did you never would have asked him to abandon me!”, he growled. “We are best friends and you tried to split us apart. The fact that you thought he would even consider that shows how little you knew about him. Y/N never once tried to separate us and even encouraged our relationship allowing it to grow. I love him, Emily.”
Grabbing his son, he yanked him towards the van tossing him his keys.
#############
When they got home, the house was quiet with most of the lights turned down except in the kitchen where you and Steve were sitting knocking back small glasses of alcohol you hid in the cabinet for occasions such as this.
Dylan patted his father comfortingly on the back before running up the stairs to get ready for bed.
“Eddie.”, you sighed in relief as you got up to hug him. “Are you ok, baby? We were so worried—”
The metalhead’s lips cut you off as he cupped your cheeks and passionately kissed you.
“I told you once that after Emily, Steve and I thought we couldn’t do the shared partner thing but, sweetheart, I’m so glad we did. Everything we have is because of you. Our kids, this house, our jobs, even Steve and my relationship. You never once made us feel like we had to choose or discouraged it. You allowed us to be ourselves and I fucking love you for that.”
Tilting forward, you kissed him again, continuing to hold him tightly as he addressed his husband.
“I’m sorry I snapped at you. Steve, since I met you, you’ve always gone the extra mile for people you love. Sometimes… it makes me feel bad that you dive headfirst into certain situations allowing yourself to take those bullets for me.”
Coming around the table, Steve wrapped his arms around you both, bringing you to his chest.
“I lead with my heart and I know it’s a strength and a fault. Eddie, I hope you know I don’t mind taking those so-called bullets. I love you both so much and those kids. I’d do anything for them and you. I hear what you’re saying though. We should have talked to Emily together. I should have talked to you about your parents. I should have asked if you wanted me to talk to Rara instead of just…being the hero.”
You both chuckle at his pronunciation of your daughter’s name before the metalhead lifts you in his arms and carries you to the bedroom. After yanking feverishly at each other’s clothes, you grin as he passionately kisses your lips, groaning into your mouth when he feels Steve between his legs eagerly sucking his cock.
“That’s it, Steve, baby. Fuck.”
“Oh! I have an idea.”, you jump up eagerly, stumbling slightly as your tipsy legs carry you where you need to go. Eddie breathily laughs before focusing back on the other boy, petting his head as he swirled his tongue along his veins and across the tip making the long-haired boy’s eyes roll.
Tapping on Steve’s shoulder, he glances your way and smiles at the strap on you have in your hands. Bouncing off the bed, he helps you put it on and watches with eager, lust filled eyes as you climb onto the mattress on your knees, tug on Eddie’s arm, and place him in front of you of you, wrapping your arms around his stomach as he sinks down on to the toy.
His body folds into yours as you both moan and your lips trail along his back as he begins to bounce against you. Your own glassy eyes find Steve’s and he smiles, kissing your lips before maneuvering himself on all fours in front of Eddie as he waited.
“Oh my fucking God. You both feel so fucking good.”, the metalhead mewls as he guides himself into the other man’s entrance. Your breath warmed his skin as you thrust your hips as hard as you could allowing the silicone inside him to hit his sensitive spot repeatedly as his own cock was being squeezed almost impossibly tight by Steve’s own warmth inside of him. “Fuck. I love you both so much.”
“Love you…baby.”, you panted.
Taking hold of his shoulder, Eddie brought Steve back to chest circling his arms around him like you had as the man’s palm covered his own while his head fell back.
“Fuck, Eddie, honey. Just like that. You’re gonna make me cum.”
“Right there? I got you, sweetheart.” Quickly covering his mouth, the metalhead clung to the other man as he grunted loudly, ropes of his spend hitting the sheets in front of him. “I know, baby. I know. Jesus, you sound so fucking sexy when you cum.”
His words and Steve’s orgasm put you over the edge as your body trembled against his as the ball dropped and you whimpered into his back. Eddie soon followed, biting into the other boy’s neck as he released his seed into him.
Everyone fell sideways, panting as you tried to catch your breath.
“Did you know they let minors into The Hideout now?” Throwing your arm over your eyes, you laugh hard as Eddie turns to face you with an equally wide smile, cupping your cheeks to kiss your lips. “Seriously…thank you…for everything.”
After a hastened shower, the three of you curled up in bed, murmuring soft praises and exchanging kisses till you fell asleep in each other’s arms.
##################
“Hey Ro. You wanna play some basketball with me?”
Purposely ignoring her brother, your daughter folds her arms as she looks in the opposite direction towards the tv. Dylan hangs his head as he scoots slowly towards the kitchen where you were eating your lunch.
“How long is she going to be mad at me?”
Placing a finger over your lips, you gesture with your eyes towards the living room and he follows your gaze just in time to see Eddie throw himself down next to his daughter.
“Whatcha doin’?”
“Watching tv.”
Her father nods as he pretends to stretch and glance towards the backdoor.
“You know it’s a gorgeous day and I think Dylan was going to play outside. Geez, I shouldn’t say ‘play’ like he’s six anymore. When your dad and I first met him we used to play basketball with him in the court right in the middle of the apartment complex. Can’t believe kid is going off to college.”, he sighs.
“I don’t want him to go…”
“I don’t either, baby, but you know what? He promised he would be here for holidays and your birthday. He’s also going to be calling mommy 24/7 because you know how much she loves you guys. Of course, we can go visit him and Daisy.”
Aurora’s bottom lip quivers as she continues to stare ahead.
“Sweetheart, you know he’s going to miss you and James as much as you both miss him. Your siblings and no matter where he is he’s always going to be there for you and love you just like me, mommy, and dada.”
Without saying a word, she jumped off the couch, running towards Dylan who placed the ball on the counter to open his arms and catch her as she jumped into them. After putting her back down on her feet, he took hold of her hand as they both smiled and ran outside to play.
Eddie grins when he feels you lightly tug his hair, tilting him back so you could kiss his lips.
“You’re a good man, Edward Munson.”
“Part of that is because of you Y/N Munson-Harrington.”

Embrace this epic journey of courage, brilliance in the face of corruption, and the ultimate victory of a future illuminated by science and truth.
Detail Synopsis
Step into the threshold of "The Code of Change," a suspense-filled odyssey through the enthralling intersection of cutting-edge science and shadow-laced corporate espionage. Dr. Lily Chan, a luminary in biotechnology and the architect behind the paradigm-shattering 'Code of Change,' embarks on a voyage to irrevocably alter healthcare. Her brainchild—a melding of human genetics and artificial intelligence—beckons a new dawn of medical miracles, poised on the precipice of regulatory acclaim.
Yet, as the beacon of FDA approval flickers within reach, Dr. Chan and her ensemble of brilliant minds at InnovateGen Biotechnologies must traverse a gauntlet where every triumph is shadowed by looming threats, every breakthrough laced with peril. The Syndicate, an elusive cabal cloaked in ambition, covets the power locked within the Code. Under the guidance of 'The Shadow,' Natalia, and the strategic prowess of 'The Architect,' Edward, this nefarious assembly ingratiates itself into the sanctum of innovation, breeding a creeping infestation of treachery.
Amidst the encroaching danger and the harrowing specter of betrayal, emerges an unlikely sentinel—Maria, whose uncanny intuition and steadfast spirit of camaraderie become the linchpin in the unraveling of The Syndicate's dark riddles. With the prowess of FBI Agent Sofie and the cyber virtuosity of Noah, they coalesce into a formidable force, threading through a conspiracy that seeks to pervert the essence of the Code of Change into an instrument of domination.
Through a labyrinth of moral conundrums and clandestine warfare, Natalia—a vessel of The Syndicate's ambition—confronts the cacophony of her inner turmoil. Riven by a dual allegiance, she stands as both sentinel and saboteur, her aspirations for the Code's beneficent potential grappling with the corrupt whisperings of Isabella, The Syndicate's eminence grise. The ticking chronometer of fate propels her to orchestrate a defiant gambit, crafting an electronic scourge to dismantle the heinous web woven by her one-time conspirators.
Culminating in an electrifying confrontation, Natalia orchestrates a tactical tour de force against The Syndicate. Her resolve catalyzes an onslaught of justice, as the venal empire, once veiled in subterfuge, crumbles under the scrutiny of Interpol's reach. In the aftermath, a triumphant duo rises—Dr. Lilian Chan, a trailblazing pioneer at the helm of InnovateGen Biotechnologies, stands at the frontier of a revolution with the 'Code of Change'—a marvel that entwines the destined strands of human genetics with the limitless potential of artificial intelligence. A breakthrough that heralds a new horizon in therapeutic innovation, promising to redraw the contours of medicine and healing.
As the coveted stamp of FDA approval glimmers within reach, the final chapter in the long saga of development begins—an intricate dance through a maze of scientific rigor and the elation of discovery. This journey, imbued with the light of hope and human potential, soon spirals into the depths of intrigue when The Syndicate, a phantom cadre propelled by a voracious hunger for dominion, casts its gaze upon Dr. Chan's creation. Natalia, known in whispered tones as 'The Shadow', together with Edward, the mastermind 'The Architect', orchestrates a covert infiltration into the sanctuaries of InnovateGen, weaving discord and subversion into the fabric of Lily's trusted circle.
As Dr. Chan stands steadfast amidst rising tides of duplicity, a serendipitous ally emerges in the guise of Maria, a virtuoso in AI whose allegiance and acumen become the bulwark against the creeping malaise of The Syndicate's machinations. Aided by the sharp insights of Agent Sofie and the cryptography expertise of Noah, they embark on a quest to clamp down the creeping tendrils of an agenda that seeks to twist the very essence of the Code for shadowed ends.
Within this crucible, the narrative tugs at the threads of loyalty as Natalia stands at a crossroad bathed in conflict, her devotion to The Syndicate's cause wanes under the weight of her conscience. Shattered by the gravity of her inner discord, and swayed by the formidable Isabella's guidance within The Syndicate, she teeters at the brink of irrevocable choices. With the clock of destiny ticking, she executes a defiant design to neuter her former allies with a spectral swath of digital retribution.
As the crescendo of this cybernetic symphony approaches, Natalia steps from the vexing shadows to claim her agency, delivering the final blow to dismantle The Syndicate's charade—an empire built on the sands of deceit and powered by the engine of corruption. This pivotal moment brings forth the agents of Interpol, heralding the collapse of a criminal dynasty and echoing a resounding victory for the virtuous In the wake of this ascending chaos, it is the unforeseen valor and the convergence of genius and grit that reshape the battlefield. Natalia, once shrouded in enigma, emerges as a decisive force, tipping the scales with her act of mutiny against the very architects of The Syndicate's web of deceptions. A digital renaissance warrior, she wields her acumen to forge a malware so potent it promises to be their undoing, to shine a light so fierce that their shadows retreat into oblivion.
And so, within "The Code of Change," we find an exhilarating testament to the power of unity and the resilience of the human spirit. Dr. Lily Chan and her retinue—Maria, the AI virtuoso; Agent Sofie, the embodiment of law; and Noah, the cyber sage—fuse their diverse skills to thwart the looming shade cast by The Syndicate. Their journey is a testament to the enduring brilliance of innovation used for the greater good, a beacon against the darkling aspirations of those who’d usurp it.

WHERE THEY ARE CURRENTLY LOCATED & ANY IMPORTANT ALLIANCES OF NOTE:
– The Commonwealth
IMPORTANT CHARACTER INFORMATION TO NOTE AND SHARE (this could be important headcanons for initial plotting, mini bios etc, supporting docs etc):
Prior to the outbreak, Beth Greene was born to Hershel and Annette Greene in 1993 on the Greene Family Farm in rural Georgia. Beth was the youngest of two half-siblings: her older brother Shawn, who belonged to her mama, and Maggie, the eldest, who belonged to Hershel and his late wife, Josephine. Hershel was known for being very protective of Beth and tried his best to shield her from the outside world and not follow the bad things he had done in his past life, such as going to jail and drinking alcohol. Her family raised her to have good manners and behavior and were usually overprotective of her.
Unnoticed by Hershel, Beth was known for sneaking out with her best friend Clementine late at night to explore and hang out. She attended High School, along with Jimmy, and began a casual relationship with him roughly three months before the outbreak.
At the beginning of the end - As the outbreak went global, Beth’s mother and Shawn were bitten by walkers. The two later died from the infection. Hershel had Otis take them to the barn, where they were reanimated. Due to what they saw on the news, Hershel believed the walkers were still alive and were simply sick people and that, while dangerous, they needed to be cared for as he believed the pandemic would end and a cure would save them all.
Hershel barricaded his remaining family, Jimmy, Otis, and Patricia, within the farm. Beth was devastated by her mother and brother’s deaths, and her typically positive outlook on life slowly started to crumble. After losing the farm and her boyfriend, Jimmy, she started to lose her faith. However, very slowly, she still had that outlook in life where there were still good people in the world.
Throughout the time toward the prison and during, Beth began to find a version of herself that she could place as a visage of indifference. Not wanting to cause a scene, she stayed towards the back unless needed. She soon became Judith’s fill-in mother and took her part seriously. Always loving children, Beth soon became a babysitter for the group, taking care of Judith and other children who would later come into the prison.
After the prison fell, Beth tried her best to stay strong not only for herself but also for Daryl. Having made it out and on the run, the pair started off on rocky shores but soon found a solstice in each other. He would help her become stronger, and she helped him see the good in the world so they could find their people again. Hope always lingers at the forefront of Beth’s mind. Always there to say Judith was alive, Maggie would be okay. Daddy would want them all to march forward and not look back. But it was also hard to live in a world her father was no longer a part of.
Then came the fateful night of the kidnapping. Hit over the head with nowhere to go, waking up in a world where Daryl was nowhere to be found. Grady Memorial was not a heaven on earth, nor would it be a salvation for the human nations. Beth grew stronger there through trial and error. Owning up and learning how certain people threaded the earth with no remorse. Helping Noah escape. And dreading what would happen to her as she soon found Carol being moved within the walls.
She was strong, strong in how she stood up to the leader of Grady, Dawn Lerner. Not wanting anyone else to be subjected to her wrath, Beth stabbed the woman before being shot right through the head. Everything stood still; all that could be heard were screams and a cry out of pain and then another shot.
After the event in the messy halls, a group — no, a family — had to leave behind the one light within their darkness — the one person who tended to keep everyone from falling. A herd of undead made it hard for the family to take Beth with them. Soon, having to leave her behind inside a trunk before fleeing.
After they had left, the group from within Grady soon came to the trunk, wanting to bury the girl as if it’d make them feel better. But as they were about to pick her up, she let out a painful moan. Pausing in their movements, Dr. Steven Edwards pressed two fingers to the girl’s neck, realizing there was a shallow pulse. Beth was alive!
It took weeks to months before Beth reawoke within Grady once more. As if in Deja Vu, she couldn’t walk or speak. It took almost two years before she could walk fully around the hospital without breaking a sweat. But her ability to speak still hadn’t sufficed. Memory was another issue altogether. She still remembered voices and names but faces and places were blurry or gone.
Within those two years of learning how to walk again, Beth had suffered a few seizures resulting from stress as well as had been told she’d forever have headaches due to hypertension around her brain. Yet, that didn’t deter her from stopping. Wanting nothing more than to find her sister Maggie.
Then came the Commonwealth, making deals and letting the people of Grady think they’d all find somewhere to live. It was all coming together; at least, that’s what Edwards had said.
HEADCANONS
Suffers from chronic migraines due to Hypertension in the brain.
Night Singer at a bar within the Commonwealth as well as a daycare teacher during the day.
Due to training under her father and then under Dr. Steven Edwards, Beth is skilled in the medical field. She could have been a nurse within the Commonwealth but hid her abilities.
Has a bullet scar on the right side of her temple as well as a scar from being cut on her right cheek.
Tends to remember only voices more so than faces, though remembers the exact scent of her sister Maggie and of Daryl.
Can sometimes hear peoples voices in her head from ptsd. Tends to hear Maggie, Hershel, Rick, Carl, and Daryl more so than anyone else.
Also has night terrors due to ptsd. Most of the time she tries to say up instead of actually sleeping.

It was harder than it should’ve been to place people @rainbowsidesofacat
Alastair:
He did it for us, the ultimate sacrifice
He gave me his trust, and look how we paid the price
This bloodshed could have been avoided
If I convinced Heaven to work together
I took a hotel and I destroyed it
I know I could have done better
Better, instead of letting you down
Royce:
Come on little man, why the frown?
In the last 10,000 years
You're the first one to change this town
You can do this, now I know it!
For your story has just begun
You can't quit now, hell, you owe it
There's still damage to be undone
You've changed my mind, you've touched their hearts
Found the good in souls gone bad
The stage is wrecked, the crowd is gone
But my God, Alastair!
The show, it must go on!
Everyone:
We can do this
We can build it
Best hotel that you've ever seen!
Twice the bedrooms, we can fill it
Royce:
With more sinners than you can dream!
Everyone:
It starts with you, you know, it's true
Fulfill your destiny!
Alastair:
So long as I've got all of you with me!
Noah:
To build a hotel, I think we need some brick and lumber
Royce:
Good thing we're in Hell. Check out this little magic number!
Adrien:
Start with foundation
Royce:
A remedial creation from me
Royce, Noah, Adrien:
It's as easy as can be!
Alastair:
No time for crying, we got a lot of work to do and
We gotta try and make the best of what's in ruins
Edward:
New coat of paint!
Zavis:
New lights across the marquee
Alastair, Edward, Zavis:
With a little sorcery!
Alex:
After the battle, masterless cattle
Alex and Damien:
Overlords hanging by a thread
With a bit of bravado
Maybe tomorrow, we'll be atop the heap
Damien:
While the rest of Hell's pissing
Alex:
Abby is missing
Alex and Damien:
Fled with his tail between his legs
Nature abhors a power vacuum, it leaves room for you and me
The future of Hell belongs to The Vees
Abby:
This place reeks of death, there's a chill in the air
And I barely escaped being killed by a hair
"Great Abbadon, altruist, died for his friends"?
Sorry to disappoint... That is not where this ends!
I'm hungry for freedom like never before
The constraints of my deal surely have a back door
Once I figure out how to unclip my wings
Guess who will be pulling all the strings!
Everyone:
We can do this
We'll be better
Though redemption may take a while
Wayward sinners, clear their ledger
Abby:
And we're doing it with a smile (Royce: Oh this guy...)
Alastair:
We’ll make a difference, wait and see
Alastair and edward:
We're gonna do this, you and me
Everyone:
And then tomorrow it will be a fuckin' happy day in Hell!

The National UN Volunteers-India
Annual Day celebration
04 November 24
St. Mary's Academy, Meerut Cantt, Meerut
(The UN designated school in India)
Theme: Annual Day-'Footsteps of Grace: Divinity’s Spark' To Noah’s Ark”
The final traces of golden warmth were left by the sky, a canvas of lavender and amber. It was a moment of change, when the day gave way to the embrace of twilight and anticipation characterized the atmosphere. "Footsteps of Grace: Divinity's Spark to Noah's Ark," the next chapter in St. Mary's Academy's rich history, was ready to open.
November 4, 2023, marked not just a date on the almanac but a portal to enchantment. The atmosphere puzzling with the energy of infinite aspirations, set the stage for an extraordinary voyage. It was a night when the ordinary would transform into the extraordinary, and the air itself was magical.
The arrival of Chief Guest Justice Pankaj Mithal, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, our Guest of Honor Bro. Jerome Ellens, Provincial India & Ghana and other dignitaries at our event elevated the atmosphere to another dimension.
As the evening continued, the prayer wove blessings into the very fabric of reality. Each word, like the thread of grace, wove its way into our hearts. The Welcome Dance was a dynamic overture, transposing the audience into a captivating cultural epic. With captivating movements and beautifully choreographed steps, the dancers narrated how Lord Ganesh with his wit & dedication became the first God to be worshipped in any event.
The lighting of the lamp by our Chief Guest Justice Pankaj Mithal, Guest of Honor Rev. Bro. Jerome Ellens and Principal Rev. Bro. S. Edward Sebastian symbolized a luminous beginning, infusing the ceremony with wisdom and honour. Brother Principal's address resonated through St. Mary's Academy, leaving an indelible mark on hearts.
Through skillfully choreographed dances and a spectacular laser show, students of classes I-V depicted an epic story of a pirate bootlegger’s daughter who went on to become a scientist and launched Chandrayaan: a testament to the fact that anyone can achieve anything.
Marians then presented the school annual report, a culmination of our school’s achievements and milestones, which reflected the dedication of the entire Marian community. Another highlight of the evening was the performance of Noah's Ark, a theatrical masterpiece, written, directed, designed and choreographed completely by our innovative students and teachers of the middle and senior wing. Through captivating dance performances and engaging acting, the play delivered a touching message – even in the face of adversity, faith and unity can navigate the storms of life, leading to a brighter, renewed future for all.
The Chief Guest's address, a beacon of wisdom, made an enduring impression on the hearts of the audience. The memento presentations and tokens of gratitude to Justice Pankaj Mithal, Mrs. Anju Mithal (aunt of Justice Pankaj Mithal), Brother Jerome Ellens, and Mr. Yashmani (our Choreographer) were a heartfelt acknowledgment of their invaluable contributions.
The grand finale, a majestic performance by each and every member of the Marian family, was a fitting conclusion to an evening filled with brilliance and camaraderie. As the school song echoed through the grounds, pride and commitment radiated from every corner.
This night will forever be present in our memories, a reflection of the remarkable synergy that defines St. Mary's Academy

Cool predictions! It seems like there's been a lot of threads left hanging over the years. If I can jump off some of these:
1-2. Lord Tedd just got brought up again, so maybe he'll come into play sooner than expected? Maybe with Kaoli
4-5. Now that you mention it, near the wedding does seem like a likely time for Verres family drama with Noriko and Van, but maybe only if there's some other reason for her to be there... like a giant monster fight, I guess? It seems like she's not in touch with Edward. Mrs. Kitsune might be - but would she go to the wedding? She and Nanase are related to Tedd on his mom's side, so wouldn't Edward's remarriage usually be considered kinda awkward for them? Speaking of, Raven probably should be there, as an old friend of the family, but will probably be busy
6. Pandora's refreshed self might not have made an appearance yet because of difficulty with the new Immortal rules - which have been roughly sketched out but haven't actually been relevant yet. This is just a wild guess, but I think the new Immortal rules will become relevant in the same story arc as the uryuom refugees from the other world.
There's a few groups of characters now who seem unlikely to get actually integrated into the main group, and I expect each of them to only occasionally come up, possibly getting their plotlines resolved "off-screen" or in np.
Abraham, Vladia, Adrian Raven, and Agent Wolf, who I'm grouping with Bishop, Arthur, Dr. Germahn, and the rest of "the agency" - Ellen will get involved when they find Magus, and Tedd is involved because they're funding the lab, but not day-to-day involved.
Catalina, Rhoda, Liz, Diane, Rhea, and the other characters specific to Diane's story - there's connections to Susan and Grace but that's kinda it
Jay, Luke, Camden, and Sam, "the college students." I know Sam isn't in the friend group, but, like them, he's got magic because of one of Pandora's marks. He's also been approached by Jay (probably) in Camden's smoke form about magical abilities. They'll almost definitely come into contact with Tedd's lab, besides the dating connections.
The Raven family: Adrian Raven, Noah, Diane, Susan, refreshed-Pandora, and "a friend of your mother's" Sarah - all of these characters are busy with other things right now.
George, Larry, Rich, Tensaided, Justin, Luke, Sam, and the other Salty Crackers regulars.
Grace's brothers/siblings and grandpa, who are in some kind of government program with "the agency" - maybe invited to the wedding or working with Tedd's lab?
Sam/Sarah, Justin/Luke, Diane/Lucy, Elliott&Noah, Greg&Dexter, Tedd's gender, Sam's transition, Grace's friendship woes, Diane's family finding out she found her bio dad, and other interpersonal/self growth, will come up when they come up (or not, as the case may be?)
The gryphon couple, Lord Tyrant Slayer, Adrian Raven (who was supposed to fix the magic dam), Moperville University (where he now works, and the new location of the magic wormhole), the uryuom refugees, and maybe the dragon scale and Hecate (previous systems of magic) - Will all probably get addressed in mainline canon actually, is my prediction
Finished my re-read of @egscomics! Also the canon bits of EGS:NP, for how much that might matter. I also made notes about plot hooks for potential storylines. I've tried to group thoughts I had by how related I think they are. In no particular order...
The final arc will likely deal with Lord Tedd and the Master of Fire prophecy. Dan mentions, possibly jokingly, in one of his commentaries that he would likely be considering doing the Lord Tedd storyline around the time EGS is 30 years old (around 2032).
In an arc that will likely be called "Sister 4: The Final Chapter" - Abraham, Vladia, Adrian, and Agent Wolf are tracking Magus. Ellen has a plan to help Magus get back to his universe as soon as Kaoli finally shows up. The significance of the Dragon Scale from the Dewitchery Diamond may be involved in the storyline somehow.
Uryuoms have access to magic now, and there is a trio of Uryuoms from the Other Half who snuck into Our Half. Lord Tyrant Slayer's schemes and whatever the deal is with those three needs to be dealt with. Also, Uryuoms existing has yet to be revealed to the public.
Van and Noriko are going to enter the story at some point, probably ending up in Moperville. Given the emphasis on Edward and Lavender's wedding guest list being "heavily lopsided" in favor of Lavender, it's possible that Lavender moving into the Verres Household (June) and marrying Edward (July) may coincide with Noriko and Van coming to Moperville, because of drama and irony.
Tedd will get to see his new lab at some point in Summer (June~August). Soon after (August~September), everyone will be going to Moperville University, where the center of the flow of Magic will have relocated by then. Tedd needs to come out as genderfluid to his dad before leaving for college. Also, Mrs. Kitsune knowing about magic may have to be revealed before college as well, possibly during the wedding mentioned in point #4. Related to the Lab is Tedd's goal of wanting to reveal Magic to the public once it's safe.
Pandora made a vow to Sarah before she did her refresh that she would help Sarah awaken, and would discuss the method of awakening with Sarah first to get her full consent. Her refreshed self has not yet reappeared in the narrative and may reappear before Edward and Lavender's wedding so she can help fill out Edward's less-than-full half of the guest list. Also, refreshed Pandora may have been the one to save Diane at the end of "Brother".
One of the commentaries mentioned a potential late-game arc about why the Dunkel parents are so chill and competent. It's possible Dan wasn't fully serious about it, but it's in the cards.
Catalina, Rhoda, Liz, and Diane have yet to go on their double date that was mentioned back in "The Legend of Diane." Catalina and Rhoda's powers may be revealed on accident, and Diane will possibly let slip stuff SHE'S aware of, leading to Catalina and Rhoda finally being let in on the bigger picture and no longer isolated.
Sam & Sarah's relationship needs to develop a little more, and Sam needs to be introduced to the rest of the group so he's not kept in the dark.
Jay, Luke, Camdin, et al are all going to be at Moperville University when the main group goes there in autumn. It's possible that they'll be relevant to the story then.
Hanma hasn't really appeared in any notable canon capacity aside from a single panel, for what that's worth.
...I think that's everything from my notes, organized as best as I can.

continued from [x]
“Reprieve and a reward? Well, I can’t argue with that,” Noah quipped to Lucy’s reply, his gaze dropping briefly to the tray of ice water and large Hershey’s bar that she’d brought in for them. He adjusted his position slightly to make sure that the tray could balance nicely upon his lap, though his gaze fixated upon Lucy as she climbed back into bed beside him. “Nah, you’re alright. This is plenty fine enough for an after sex snack,” Noah replied, reaching first for the water. He took a large gulp from his glass before setting it back down, his focus then upon breaking up the Hershey’s bar into small chunks so they could both share from it.
Noah had been working quite hard of late, and he knew Lucy had been too, so their athletic fuck session had been quite welcomed. A sense of warm, content satisfaction still emanated from him, though Lucy’s question about whether he was in the mood for more made Noah grin over at her. “Perhaps we’re both needy for each other? Or maybe I’m just too hot and horny for you. Either way, I’m not gonna say no if you’re up for more before I leave, baby…”

Noah strolled back into the bedroom with a grin upon his face, his gaze immediately falling onto the sight of Emily sat up in bed. “I got the munchkin down to sleep, though I had to give her a few daddy kisses and cuddles before she finally settled down,” Noah announced, grinning still whilst a laugh also accompanied his words.
He moved to the edge of the bed on his side and pushed down the hemline of his grey sweatpants so that the garment fell around his ankles, leaving him in just his black boxers. “One other thing I noticed... I’m pretty sure she’s her mom’s daughter because she once again tried to make a grab for my ring...” Noah then said, laughing again as he got into bed next to Emily. “Who knew that a love for jewellery was genetic...”

End of Year Faves (2020)
goodbye 2020! thanks @kelseaaa for the tag. it took me a while to repost all the fics i wanted on this list. tagging whoever else wants to share / hasn’t yet: @agentnolastname; @kat-tia801; @pearlsandsteel; @katbee; @robintora; @raleigh-edward
Rules: It’s time to love yourselves! Choose your 8 (ish) favorite works you created in the past year (fics, art, edits, etc.) and link them below to reflect on the amazing things you brought into the world in 2020. Tag as many writers/artists/etc. as you want (fan or original) so we can spread the love and link each other to awesome work!
fics listed under the cut!
1. the perfect gift: part 1 | part 2 (18+) - noah harris x mc (emma price)
this was the first piece i wrote where i really felt like i was coming back into my own as a writer. i wrote part 1 in 5 hours, which is still my fastest record - and i can’t quite explain how significant  it was tome. compared to any other fic, it draws the most on my personal experiences. when i realized i was able to write a part 2 and give it a happy ending / closure, i just felt incredibly satisfied.
2. until now (14+)  - m!raleigh carrera x mc (cadence dorian)
this was my first fic for this pairing and for platinum; i didn’t intend for it to be angsty but it i really wanted to write a strong female mc and was happy with it - i think it inspired something very personal in me.
3. with every step together (14+) - oliver cochrane x f!mc (peyton bellamy)
i struggled to get inspired from prompts or random ideas i’d see on my dash. but then i saw a thread from @robintora and a few others about a scene where oliver cochrane and mc aren’t allowed to dance so they sneak away and it was just so cute - an idea literally visualized in my head of this scene unfolding and i had to write it and this was the result. first time i think i’d ever done something like that and super happy with the result.
4. expectations (13+) - beckett harrington x f!mc (celeste russell)
this was another unintended fic that came out of the brainchild that is me and @robintora after tanu read my other TE fic for TEAW. again, i didn’t think this would be easy to do and was very pleasantly surprised when the words just flew out of my fingers 😊.
5. the antidote (18+) - m!raleigh carrera x mc (cadence dorian)
the first time i really wanted to write a fic that went from angsty to happy ending was with this one. i knew when i finished writing “hopeless,” that i’d want to write a follow-up with a happy ending. i also just really like the dynamic of two people seeking each other out not realizing the other person is at their home and i’m glad i got to write it.
6. cottage by the sea (16+) #not choices - adam du mortan x f!detective (regina bishop)
first twc fic, which is significant for me. albeit, this one is really sad (in a fluffy way?) but it’s very emotional and i felt like i really got into the right headspace with this AU piece. very excited to write more for twc going forward.
7. glow (16+) - m!robin tora x mc (hayley thompson)
second fic i ever wrote that was directly inspired by choices fanart, but the first of fanart done by someone i didn’t commission. it was definitely a different experience diving into the headspace of a “scene” presented by the art and to imagine what happened before/after.
8. “if you can breathe, you can stand” - olivia nevrakis moodboard (trr)
my first ever contribution to the choices fandom! i was defnitely a tumblr lurker earlier this year (only after i finished reading the BB and TRR series and was searching for fanfics on AO3 did i realize there was a tumblr fandom) and saw some posts about how to create moodboards, etc. and was tempated to create one for olivia since i didn’t see specific ones for her in the tags at the time. i was super happy with how it turned out.
don’t know if there’s still time left in the year, but who cares i’m going to tag anyone who might be interested!

Memories : The Best Films of the 2010s
Tumblr media
Only a few years into my tenure as a film blogger, and I’ve been tasked with a monumental undertaking : ranking the top films of the last decade.  Reflecting year by year is a journey in its own right, and with things like recency bias to take into account, plus the dice roll of blessing and curse that perspective and time bring to older films, I knew that this would be memorable at best, and stressful at worst.
That being said, I don’t claim to have seen every movie, so I know that there are some ‘glaring’ omissions.  I am always open to recommendations for films I should watch (for the purpose of blogging on them or otherwise), but DOOMonFILM has always been about my personal experience as a film fan, first and foremost.  Discussion is welcome, and constructive criticism will always be considered, but this is one man’s opinion.
_________________________________________
THOUGHTS ON THE DECADE
The 2010s, despite moments of controversy in terms of diversity, turned out to be surprisingly forward-thinking in hindsight.  On more than one occasion in the decade, the film of the year (in terms of awards or in terms of critical/public reception), as well as highlight films of each year, were made by foreign directors.  Women and minorities also managed to be recognized in front of and behind the camera at what seemed like a higher rate.  Newer technologies were embraced, such as pushes forward in new cameras or directors opting to shoot on devices as small as iPhones, leaps forward in special effects, and a multitude of movies given the iMax treatment.  A handful of directors happened to put out multiple movies throughout the decade, and a few of those in that handful managed to make multiple award-winning and widely accepted films.  Marvel left such an impact on Hollywood, and the worldwide movie industry, that DC was forced to try and follow suit, and mergers with Sony and Disney were top tier news for months on end.  Actors like Scarlett Johanson, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Leonardo DiCaprio, among others, solidified themselves as box-office legends, while actors on both sides of their career (first-timers and those in the twilight of their career) found success throughout the decade.  All in all, it was a decade that continued to make me happy to be a movie fan, and as hard as it was to do, I managed to find 100 films throughout the decade to rank.

10. The Last Black Man in San Francisco (dir. Joe Talbot, 2019)
I saw this film as the decade was winding to a close, but it made easily one of the starkest impressions on me of any film-going experience I can recall.  The movie looks amazing, the score and soundtrack are powerful, the acting is rich and dynamic, San Francisco is as beautiful on film as it is in real life, and the thoughts that arise from the narrative presented are the kind that hang around and result in personal changes that matter.  A shining achievement from a stellar year of film.

9. Inception (dir. Christopher Nolan, 2010)
If Christopher Nolan wasn’t already considered top tier prior to Inception, any doubters were left floored at the close of this masterpiece.  For a story that could have easily been way too convoluted for standard audiences, the visuals, direction and pacing guide us through the madness perfectly.  For anyone interested in dream depictions on cinema, for fans of stellar action, and for the smart people who know the quality that comes with the Nolan name, this one was a no-brainer.

8. mother! (dir. Darren Aronofsky, 2017)
After being a bit on the nose with Noah, in terms of a film on religion, most directors would take that as a sign to move on from the topic.  For a director like Darren Aronofsky, however, the next step was to seemingly go back to your mind-scrambling roots, dig deeper symbolically, narratively and metaphorically, and come back to the table with one of the most divisive and controversial films of the decade.  mother! will clearly be a film ripe for analysis for years to come, and for as subjective and deep an experience as the film is, this reflection is welcome, as it serves to enrich future viewing experiences.

7. Uncut Gems (dir. Josh and Benny Safdie, 2019)
How long does a film have to be out to be considered one of the best of the decade?  In the case of Uncut Gems, I will allow recency bias, as it is clearly evident at the beginning of the closing credits that the film is special and will resonate for years to come.  The Safdie brothers already had a classic under their belt with Good Time, and throwing that Sandler magic into the mix only amplifies their heightened and immersive style.

6. The Florida Project (dir. Sean Baker, 2017)
There are a small fraternity of directors that put out their first films and follow-up films in the 2010s, and while examples of possible award snubs can be found for these directors, there was one clear-cut case of oversight : the 2017 lack of recognition for Sean Baker’s immaculate, beautiful and moving The Florida Project.  While Tangerine was certainly the loudest of warning shots a first time director could provide, the amount of growth, nuance and confidence found in this follow-up deserved multiple awards, not just an acting nod for Willem Dafoe.  Perhaps Baker’s next film will bring him the recognition he deserves in terms of awards, but he’s already made a clear cut name for himself.

5. Hereditary (dir. Ari Aster, 2018)
I rediscovered a love for horror films in the 2010s, and a key reason would be the emergence of director Ari Aster.  Upon seeing trailers for Hereditary, I knew that it would probably scare the life out of me, but the taste of the story given was so gripping I had to see it.  The fact that the trailer was so powerful, only for the movie to unfold in ways that I never would have imagined or discerned from the trailer, was one of the most rewarding film experiences of the decade.  Toni Collette also gave a performance for the ages.

4. You Were Never Really Here (dir. Lynne Ramsay, 2018)
It’s arguable that Joaquin Phoenix may have had the strongest decade of any actor, and for my money’s worth, he was at his best in You Were Never Really Here.  Much of the angst presented was previously explored in The Master, and as great as Joker is, it’s essentially the DCEU version of You Were Never Really Here, tonally and in terms of specific elements.  Nobody short of the Safdie brothers are making movies that look, sound and feel like this one, and the unfortunate practice of human trafficking hitting the news forefront makes this film as timely as it is sad.

3. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (dir. Edgar Wright, 2010)
Hands down the coolest film of the decade.  Not since Who Framed Roger Rabbit? had so many elements that I loved from other properties managed to find their way into the same movie, and the way that the gumbo was prepared and served was pitch perfect.  As my friend Erin stated after we viewed the film, ‘If you watch this movie and don’t like it, I don’t think we can be friends’.  Some of my favorite sequences of any film are in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and this is the EXACT kind of film I look forward to one day sharing with my children.

2. Parasite (dir. Bong Joon-ho, 2019)
Another recent film that made an instant impact.  In terms of topics like honesty, entitlement, and family dynamics, nothing I can think of in recent memory is touching Parasite.  The parallels between the two families presented are perfect both visually and in the performances, and with each new bit of information presented, much of what you were previously presented is immediately recontextualized and put into question.  This film, from front to back, is one of the most gripping journeys a filmgoer can take.

1. Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu, 2014)
Easily my favorite film of the decade.  This is the closest thing to a song-poem that I’ve ever seen presented on film, and it’s heartbreakingly beautiful.  Nothing else released in the decade looked or sounded like this film, and the way it meta-reflects on Hollywood, Broadway, superhero films and the importance of actors is equal parts hilarious, thought-provoking and wonderfully frustrating.  The film answers enough questions it posits so as to not completely confound the viewer, but it leaves enough open-ended so that repeat viewings are rewarding.  A true achievement of film, regardless of decade.

Who do you think should be the one to find Beth first if she’s out there besides Daryl?
You know it’s funny… I’ve thought about that plenty of times and this might sound weird but…. I’ve always wanted C@r0l to be the one that finds Beth. Shocker, right? I mean why would I think of Her as the one to find/come in contact with Beth?
Well it’s actually pretty simple if you think about it. Number one, it’s no secret to TPTB that people have a whole “Beth VS C@r0l for Daryl” thing going on. It was blasted on Twitter, at conventions, on social media… It was pretty obvious there was – and still is – this war of Bethyl vs. C@ry1 wagging… It’s been going strong since about S3 when Beth was taking a more frontal approach among the group and then exploded during S4.
So isn’t it interesting that the person Beth ends up with in Grady… is C@r0l? Think about this with me. Noah had revealed he knew Beth and where she was. Daryl and C@r0l aren’t dumb. They’re survival pros – even before things went to full shit in a hand basket they’ve been survivors. They could’ve formulated a plan with Noah and could’ve gone back to the others so they could get Beth. Or Hell the both of them and Noah could’ve found a way to get Beth back by maybe sneaking her out or something… All I’m saying is that those two could’ve done some damage together.
Instead… They incapacitated the Queen and left no choice but for Daryl and Noah to go get help. Daryl could’ve dealt some damage for sure, but without Queen C for backup/to bounce off of, Noah is a sitting duck for them. He’d probably be gunned down and Noah snatched up… So instead they write Queen C (imma just keep calling her that now) into the clutches of the Grady Goons.
If I had to write a list of top five people that would cause serious shit damage to Grady, Queen C would be player number one. We’ve seen her do some damage by herself. Look at what she was able to do with Maggie when they got caught. Look at what she did when she ran away - she killed a shit tone of Saviors and even bleeding out and dying she was still being strong and a badass… Yeah she’s definitely the one I think would’ve actually been dangerous to grab outta her and Daryl, honestly…
Which brings me to Beth and her scissors… I think - and I’m sure I’m not the only one - that the idea to hide the weapon on her body… Was Queen C’s idea. Because we’ve seen her do just that before. She’s hidden stuff on her person before. Like in 6x13 with the rosary beads, which she uses not only to play up a meek role… while also sharpening the crucifix and uses it to cut herself free of her bonds, which means it was sharp enough to kill or maim someone. Then in 6x15 Carol again played defenseless and meek and shot down Saviors with a gun she had hidden in her sleeve. This happens a season after everything with Beth happened and the thing I always think about is that Carol has Beth’s knife on her – hidden – before she got it to Daryl.
Which clues me – or at least gives me this feeling – that Beth had hidden the scissors on herself for a reason. She needed a weapon. She needed a way to harm. She had the scissors from before and was gonna use them on Dawn before Queen C came in… Beth has the thought to use the scissors, but who better to tell her to keep them hidden than Carol? Who we see knows how to play up meek and defenseless to her advantage and knows how to use stuff as a weapon or hide what she can for a weapon. Because before that, Beth had them out at her side and ready to use but ducked them away when Queen C was rolled in.
There’s this whole mystery of what went on when Queen C was knocked out to being awake in the hallway exchange. They just suddenly jump to her wide away in the Hallway. They show Beth getting dressed and ready but all we saw of C@r0l before the hallway exchange was her knocked out in bed with Beth trying to save her/arguing with Dawn… There’s another story there. There are all these different stories around Grady and none of them have been answered. Not really…. Which is why I felt if we suddenly had C@r0l come across some clue of Beth being alive or actually was the one to find her… Then it could help lead to some exposition on just what happened during Queen C’s knocked out to C@r0l suddenly awake in the hallway exchange…. How much time passed between those scenes? Was Beth with Queen C when she woke up? When Dawn told her that Rick and them were coming to get her? Was Edwards in the room when she woke up? Did he talk to both of them? Did Dawn talk to them both? We don’t know… It’s something I keep thinking about and I just feel like what happened before the exchange and they’re not telling us along with what happened after carrying Beth out of the hospital…
So I think I’d like to have C@r0l be the one to find her/get clued in, anon..
Maybe ask @twdmusicboxmystery or @frangipanilove or @wdway or @bloodrose28 too. They have a better TD feel of things than i do, honestly. I don’t mind pitching in what I think and feel and even spinning my own threads but I’m not a mastermind like them lol
