WHERE: Lake Party WHO: Diego (@cryptidkeepp)
Xander was bouncing Fabián on his knee as he sat next to Diego. Every now and then his eyes flickered to Cal and Zarina who were holding his other children. Turning back to Diego he gave a sheepish smile, “Sorry man totally zoned out. I um…I haven't really been going to stuff much since…you know. Not sure it was a good idea to bring the kids…,” trailing off his arm tightened slightly around his son's waist. Despite the amount of people here to help him he was still anxious he was making the wrong decision as a father, even if Lia had been supportive.

who: @bigmandiego where: tri delt valentine's party when: during spin the bottle
She thought it couldn't get worse than Charlie. She had genuinely thought it couldn't get worse - and to be fair, Diego may not have been worse than Charlie when comparing them directly, but Sassa had more thought the night couldn't get worse. And then she took her turn for spin the bottle, only for it to land on Diego Fuentes.
Someone or something had a sick sense of humor - because surely Sassa hadn't done anything so bad to deserve this.
Flashing a smile at Diego as she passed by, almost crossing into the territory of being more of a baring of her teeth as her jaw clenched down from irritation, she flounced by him into the closet, not waiting to see if he was following. Maybe he wouldn't and then she could use the seven minutes to get herself off since god only knew it wouldn't be happening now.

Cara paused when she saw Diego, nearly doing a double take, her lips parted slightly as she watched him walk away from the table he had claimed, retrieving his coffee. It only took a few seconds - once she had registered she wasn't imagining the familiar face, transposing it onto a stranger in some bout of wishful thinking - and then she was on the move, her shoulder bumping into someone in her way as she barged her way through the coffee shop to claim the seat opposite of the one he had.
His noticing her though, was awfully anti-climatic - like so much in Cara's life, it left something to be desired. "Oh, hey?" she echoed, the words thick on her tongue as a brow arched high on her forehead. "Really? That's the greeting I get?"
Where: Coffee Shop When: Earlyish in the morning among the first days back on campus Who: Open!
It had been late when Diego had arrived at Waverly, spending most of the night unpacking and checking up with his schedule to make sure that all his classes were in order for the new term. The next morning, though a very small part of him was dreading it, he couldn't actually put off showing up in public. Not when he needed a latte as much as he did. The coffee shop was full of grumpy students when he arrived. It was early enough in the morning that most of them were too concerned with themselves, and their own problems to pay him any mind. Which was welcome.
So, he ordered his latte and a whole grain muffin, before he headed to deposit his thing on an empty table while he waited for his name to be called. Diego scrolled on his phone for a while before he headed up to the counter to retrieve his order, paying and thanking the barista, before heading back to his table only to see that someone else had decided to join him. "Oh, hey," he greeted as he slowed to a stop at his table, taking a seat opposite the other person.

"How's about this, if you want to talk and play catch up- you have to do some manual labor." World might be at risk of ending but he still had work obligations. Closing the gym up, cleaning it up for the night and then plans to tidy up his space some.

"It's been a while since I've gotten a night out." She had texted a few people when she knew that she'd have the night off from both work and her girl's were staying over at Uncle Ray and Aunt Lenny's. They had been so excited, she couldn't have thought of taking that away from them just because she had the night off. When she got ahold of Diego, she had suggested that the two of them go axe throwing. "Have you done this before?"

"Here's that apple cider," she handed it off to Diego with a smile. "I made sure that it was fresh." She had stopped inside Cobblestone Cafe to make sure things were properly shut down so that she, Stevie and the rest of the employees could enjoy the festival in town. "Sorry it took a little longer than expected. The new girl closed last night," she shook her head, "I'm going to have to retrain her." It had been a risk she took in letting her close alone, but she knew she couldn't hover over her forever.

Garden gnomes, as Diego so ranted about, were an unfortunate byproduct of living in a place like Kingshaven. He remembered from his youth how every single trailer seemed to have at least two of them by the front steps. His mother had liked them too. Now, despite his best efforts, his own home had somehow managed to be decorated with two. He didn’t even remember buying the creepy things and was convinced they just spawned everywhere. Frankly, Noah was a little scared of the things. Some people feared clowns, Noah feared garden gnomes. It was a bit comical given he was a giant in stature and that was the very reason he never spoke of the fear publicly. Though, if Diego simply glanced at him, he would be able to see the disdain and unease in which Noah looked down at the thing.”You and me both - I don’t know why people find them appealing. Why did you even pick it up? You could have left it on the shelf before we checked out.”
"you know, people love the beach garden gnome. no idea why. they're ugly as hell, but, people love 'em. i had to order like ten more last week. hand painted. i think they look like something you'd smuggle weed in. god, I hate these things." diego didn't know how he managed to leave the shop carrying the stupid gnome. but it was too late to put it back now, his first instinct was to pawn it off.

The local bowling league was not an every week thing for Ethan. With his schedule and the kids, he jumped in when he could. However, he was happy to slip into a pair of rental bowling shoes and lug his bowling ball over to the lane. "Diego, hey," he grinned, spotting a familiar teammate. "How have we been doing?" He questioned the other, setting down his bag to begin getting ready for the game. "I heard I've missed some good games the last few weeks."

𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 @diegoocastro -- 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩
NEPTUNE OYSTER was one of the many places in town that Chantel loved visiting. She's always been a lover of seafood and she herself also loved pairing it with white wine. There was just something about the combination that made her mouth water at the mere thought of it. She took a step forward, taking a breath as she took a step into the restaurant. taking a step forward in line, she looked over to her right where Diego was standing. She didn't know the man personally but she did recognize him from doing some work around town for others. "You come out here often?" she questioned, looking at him. "I came to assure me and my boyfriend could get dinner here and enjoy some wine before the festival leaves town." she smiled. "But I'm a little stumped on what the best dish here is."

Then we could all just laugh until I cry. ( diego ) @daydrcamings
“I suppose laughing until we cry is something that we can use in this crazy life” Carlos mused he was glad to see more of his original family popping up, he’d missed them so deeply, and with how weird things had gotten with the revel of his birth parents he didn’t want to think about that version of his life at this moment. He wanted to be free to still be Carlos Alvarez for a little while longer. “How are you doing Diego? I’ve missed you”

"You're pissed off at me." It was all of a sudden that Diego could see it clearly as they made their way outside of the restaurant, leaving from out the alley to the private parking lot to avoid the few paparazzi that were undoubtably in wait. His hand encircled Vera's arm to stop her from walking, his brows furrowing. "Come on, talk to me. What's wrong? I promise I can fix it. And if I can't I can buy you something more filling than the bullshit tiny plates they served in here." He said, trying to offer the olive branch, so to speak. He loved his fiancé, but he couldn't help but instinctively worry that she wasn't as excited for him landing this show as he wanted her to be.

"Smaller isn't always a bad thing," Lucia pointed out as she sat next to Diego, hand reaching out to lightly rest on his hand, like there hadn't been distance from the male the previous semester. If Lucia ignored it, she was sure that it would go away. It was her strategy with pretty much everything. It was a bit harder to do with the more...recent events. A student dying was nearly as hard to ignore as a friend of sorts going missing. Didn't mean she wouldn't try, though. "But...it was an accident. Right? Surely people are just being dramatic about this all," she said, giving his fingers a squeeze before pulling her hand back.
Open Starter Location: The Commons Time: early in the week while students are still arriving
His parents had seemed hesitant about him going back to Ogden, asking him multiple times whether he really wanted to, or just felt obligated. Diego thought he just felt obligated, they weren’t wrong, but it was hard to explain why he felt it would be worse to not go back. He couldn’t just let something like this go. Apparently not everybody felt the same way. “Does the campus already feel smaller to you?” He asked, while he sat at one of the tables in the commons, eyes clearly not on the book he’d chosen to pretend to read over the week long forced break they’d been given. “My mom says she doubts even half of the students will be back this year. I really wouldn’t blame them.”

who: Diego Castro @diegoocastro where: The Weatherford Residence
Growing up in East Haven had given Tegan a bit of a 'head start' on learning about the people in town and what they were good at. It was a trait she'd inherited from her father - always have someone you can contact to help with nearly anything - and while that had stood true for him for several years, the people of East Haven sadly grew older and most of his resources had passed throughout the years. So, since Teagan was now in town, she'd been on the hunt for someone that could help her with some small projects around the house. Nothing too major as she knew her father hated change, but she wanted to do something to surprise him for when he came home; and the first thing on her list was renovating the old shed behind his home. She'd gotten word through the street that Diego was good at helping with this stuff, and after some thought, a few days of playing phone tag and such, Diego pulled into the driveway of Teagan's father's house, and from the front porch Teagan greeted him with a wave. "Afternoon, Mr. Castro." she smiled, taking the few steps off the porch so she was standing in front of him. "Thank you for coming out here; how are you with sanding and painting?" she questioned. "Maybe even complete remodel, but, I think we can settle for just a sand and fresh coat of paint at least."

Claudia let him whisk her away. She was still in disbelief. This phantom that haunted her for the better part of 5 years, was now standing in front of her again. His hands on her, dancing into the night like they did before. But they were both so changed. No longer where they the young lovers that danced together in the field, or that spent evenings looking up at the starts and imagining their future. "You're here..." Claudia whispered. "You're actually here..." The last time she had heard about Diego, was when an officer from the prison he was kept in arrived on their door with news of his death. Claudia tried contacting him through letters, but none of them were returned. She had cried herself to sleep that night .
