who: Diego Castro @diegoocastro where: The Weatherford Residence
Growing up in East Haven had given Tegan a bit of a 'head start' on learning about the people in town and what they were good at. It was a trait she'd inherited from her father - always have someone you can contact to help with nearly anything - and while that had stood true for him for several years, the people of East Haven sadly grew older and most of his resources had passed throughout the years. So, since Teagan was now in town, she'd been on the hunt for someone that could help her with some small projects around the house. Nothing too major as she knew her father hated change, but she wanted to do something to surprise him for when he came home; and the first thing on her list was renovating the old shed behind his home. She'd gotten word through the street that Diego was good at helping with this stuff, and after some thought, a few days of playing phone tag and such, Diego pulled into the driveway of Teagan's father's house, and from the front porch Teagan greeted him with a wave. "Afternoon, Mr. Castro." she smiled, taking the few steps off the porch so she was standing in front of him. "Thank you for coming out here; how are you with sanding and painting?" she questioned. "Maybe even complete remodel, but, I think we can settle for just a sand and fresh coat of paint at least."

"Washing dishes is definitely my least favorite chore." she admitted, offering Diego a smile. Teagan wasn't one to leave dishes in the sink or messes around if she could help it though, so despite the fact that dishes were her least favorite chore, she always made sure the mess was clean before she went to bed. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with sharing that part with me if you want to." she smiled. "I mean, I'm all for respecting what you want to do, the choices you make, but, just know that I am not one to judge. You did help me fix up a shed that should've just been ripped down awhile ago if you remember." she laughed. Hearing the way he talked about his son made her smile, and she nodded in reassurance at him. He was doing a great job; she knew that and she wanted him to know he should be proud.
Once the night was over, Teagan walked towards her front steps, Diego following along behind her. It had been one of the best nights she'd had in a really long time, and she wanted to make sure he knew how much she'd enjoyed it. Turning on her heels, she smiled, leaning in and kissing his cheek softly. Keep it casual as she'd say; a kiss on the cheek tells enough in itself. "Thank you for tonight, Diego. I had a great night."
THE END
Diego nodded. "That is one of the worst parts of how hot can be." he hated being hot like that. "And the mess dishes are the worst," he laughed. He would do them but it was always the last thing he would do. Hearing Teagan offer to cook he smiled "I will have to take you up on that I know Dev loves food too and trying to help in the kitchen" he smiled.
Smiling at her, "I will let you know soon. I don't want you to see the bones of it like it is now, but I am going to be painting it soon." She was excited about that. "I hate what I missed, but now I won't miss a thing." he wa"s so thankful he came back to town. "I just want to do my best with him" Dev really was his world. He watched the waves crash and smiled at Tegan. "I just.... I've had a good time tonight," he he hoped she did too. He didn't need to be all hot and heavy right away with someone he just wanted to do it right this time. So he hoped this date was going well for her too. @teaganweatherford

DC FanDome: Schedule, Date, Time, and How to Watch
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Fans hoping for major DC news in lieu of an actual San Diego Comic-Con are definitely going to get just that at DC FanDome, a digital event designed to be watched at home like a real con.
Originally set up as one epic night of panels and reveals, DC announced that it will be splitting FanDome into two separate and distinct events: Hall of Heroes, which will be held in late August, and WatchVerse in mid-September.
The August date still holds most of the big-ticket items. It’s billed by DC as “an epic world designed personally by Jim Lee featuring special programming, panels and exclusive reveals from a wide variety of films, TV series, games, comics and more.” Functionally, it’s the Hall H of FanDome.
This DC FanDome trailer gives fans a good glimpse at what they can expect from the event:

Sense8 season 2 episode 8:
So Jonas isn’t dead. Look at Noms, being all Nancy Drew with Neets and her cluster. But what if they’re wrong about him? Who’s the Chairman? Maybe I’m looking for twists in all the wrong places. They have Whispers’ personal documents now, thanks to Wolfie and Will, but they must he saving all that for the next episodes.
Lito is a giant, depressed teddy bear in a onesie. This man has hit rock bottom and Sun couldn’t care less lmao. His only purpose for appearing was to cuddle with her, awww 🤣
I think this is the first solo Kala x Will scene we’ve seen, and 98% of it is just her venting about her dumb husband. Bless.
Aww, the old police station. Feels like forever since we’ve last seen it. Will and Diego still play off of each other like two idiots, even when Will isn’t physically there. That’s one great friendship. They still look out for each other, too.
Sun almost knocked Nomi OUT, lol. Poor thing was terrified! They really can’t control who or when they visit, huh? I mean sometimes they can, but when they can’t, it’s kind of hilarious. Lito appeared on Kala’s couch just to tell her her husband was lying, and he didn’t even question why he was at Nomi and Amanita’s. He just started flair bartending and talking about his movies again 🤣 Someone send help.
What’s with these visions of Will and Riley being in the same positions as Whispers and Elizabeth? Is that foreshadowing? Will Will be like him someday? Was that what was planned before cancellation?
“You’re just feeling a little anxious because Teagan asked you to do a toast. […]”
“See? There’s something my cluster would never be able to know about what was going on. Come here.”
I’ve said this in one of my past recaps, but this is why I love Nomanita so much. Neets can’t connect to Nomi in the way the other Sensates can, yet she’s still so in sync with her. Man, they’re so special ❤
The last scenes were so full of little surpises. Nomi falling and abruptly shutting off her connection with the Sensates was such a sick visual effect, and it’s even cooler that they used that as a way to formally and finally introduce Amanita to one of the others! And Bug too, of course hahah. Noms being knocked out in the background with an ice bag on top of her head was adorable 😅
I thought I had already seen all the cool choreography the show had to offer, but I was wrong. THE FIGHT SCENE, okay hold on. First of all: stupid hot somehow-horny-all-the-time evil Sensate lady. So she’s just like the rest of the power hungry people trying to take over, but she has the upper hand of being able to convincingly act like a damsel in distress to evade problems. That’s one thing those other men don’t have.
The choreography and directing in this episode, dude. The cluster moving in shapes and lines, phasing into each other, rising up all together, and then the fucking CLUSTER FIGHT! “Bring it, bitch.” Kala was READY for that. She basically started it. Evil Sensate lady may be cunning, but if Kala could end her herself, she would. She’s always there to assist with health and science, always self conscious about being a bad person, but if she had the chance.. OhohOHO.

this new season of sense8 is just so asdfhklkjhgfdsa like!!! the world-building!!! as a world-builder i have literally SO MANY questions to the wachoswki!!
like. we know that the homo sensorium are a different species, and we know the BPO found Nomi because of the anomalies in her brain, BUT did the anomalies appear *after* she had be reborn as a sense8 or were they always there? if any of the sense8 had had a cat scan before Angelica gave birth to them, would they anomalies show up in the results, or only when the birth happened? (similarly to, say, the x-gene being identifiable even before the mutation being revealed). If that is the case, could any member of the supporting cast be a sense8 without their knowing? Hermano, Diego, Amanita, Daniela or Teagan? ESPECIALLY Teagan?
i mean. During the cut scene when the Old Man of the Hoy reaches the Archipelago, we see someone talking to a pair of twins, BUT we also know that the twin sister of the woman that found the BPO wasn’t a sense8 even though her sister was - so were the first pair of twins part of the same cluster, or were they from two different clusters, seeing as we know it requires them to take the first breath together at the same time for them to be part of a cluster? The head of the BPO was said to not be a sense8, but wasn’t she really, or was she just not a “birthed” one? Is it possible for two people - siblings - to be related by blood while belonging to two different species altogether? How would that work? It’s not like the X-Gene, which is a genetic mutation inherent to most humans.
BUT if all siblings of sense8s are ‘unborn’ sense8s, does that make Teagan and Sun’s scumbag of a brother sense8s in potential? What would be the necessary procedures for them to activate their inner abilities? is the birth of a cluster completely random? we know that all genres can give birth to clusters, but how does that work? how do you “get pregnant”? how does the birth happen exactly?
someone get me on the phone with Lana and Lilly asap

Show must go on
Você pode me ajudar.
Bors estava quieto no canto, mexendo no celular.
Lancelot tinha dezessete anos.
Jogariam videogame a noite toda.
Bors sorriu, balançando a cabeça negativamente.
Tipo, do outro lado do país?
A vida deveria continuar.
─ x ─
A chuva havia parado lá fora.
Eu... Só não estava esperando uma visita. ─ Lancelot encolheu os ombros. Conversar.
Vou tentar me aproximar novamente.
─ Você devia trazer ela na próxima noite. Sei lá. Eu não me importo.
Talvez você pudesse me ajudar essa noite? Eu...
A vida deveria continuar.
─ x ─
Um encontro. É. Lancelot não estava preparado pra isso. Ele achava que estava. Quer dizer, ele deveria estar.
─ Obrigado. Foi minha ex que me deu e... ─ Se interrompeu. Não, não, não. Havia falado demais.
─ Pensava, pensava, pensava. É. Não sabia o que dizer. ─ Enfim. Mas então, você tava dizendo que...
─ É. Eu acabei esquecendo que eu tinha que ver algumas coisas no Bowery. Tudo bem se eu for indo?
E Lancelot aqui. Sozinho, depois de ter cometido a gafe. É, Lancelot. A vida deveria continuar.

who: Diego Castro @diegoocastro where: The Wilson - Celebration of Life
As much as she hated to admit it to herself, the celebration of life was only the beginning of the things she had to do when it came to her father and getting things sorted now that he had passed. It was one of the many things on what felt like a very long list that she could check off, but, she still had to make it through today first. She was standing at a table, a glass of water making a ring as it sat, her hands looking through a stack of photos she'd been handed by one of her father's most loyal customers. But within seconds that proved to be too much and she placed the stack to the side before making another round, greeting anyone she found. It was during this time that she found Diego, and she offered him a small wave as she approached him. "Diego, hi." she smiled, looking at the man. "I hope you haven't been standing around looking for me too long."

"I don't get it, but, you're totally right." she nodded, offering him a smile. "Don't get me wrong, making up languages, words, phrases, nicknames is so much fun when you have friends to do it with but, I don't understand how the entire world eventually learns." she shrugged. Truthfully, languages - foreign or made up - was always something that Teagan had struggled with; she had taken French in high school and had struggled through it. "But, I guess kids are resilient, a lot easier to learn." she shrugged. Once they'd taken their seat she offered Diego a smile, looking over at him. "I'm so excited. Thank you for coming with me!" @diegoocastro
THE END
He had to pause to think about it, and you could see it on his face. "It's weird that each generation has their own slang, and somehow all of the country knows it." In today's world, it wasn't as hard to think of how, but when he was a teenager, it was a different story. Diego sighed with a chuckle. "For sure," he smirked even more, remembering how he didn't speak the best English when he was younger. "I wasn't gonna say it, but you are right," he said, moving to a seat close by. He smiled at her; he was having a good time with her for sure. "Alright, we just made it," he said as they arrived to see the show was starting. - @teaganweatherford

"It does." she nodded in agreement. "Sometimes it just makes you not want to do it because you just spent so much time cooking it that you're just hot and miserable." she laughed, shaking her head. "But honestly please do. I'd love to cook for the two of you." Teagan loved hosting, and she'd love to cook for Diego and his son if that's what he wanted. Teagan listened as the other spoke, nodding. "I'll definitely come check it out. Just tell me when." it wasn't like she was on much of a schedule these days, and she'd like to see the result of all the hard work he had. She let her hand randomly pet the horse, doing her best to bond with it. It was Diego's story about discovering his son that made her smile though. "I think that's a really sweet story." she nodded. "Honestly, I'm sure it sucked knowing later on that you had missed so much time but it sounds like you're making up for that." she smiled. "Can't deny that it's not admirable." @diegoocastro
Hearing what she said he smiled at her for a moment. It was nice of her to offer that for him. "I think that makes food taste even better when you love doing it" he did always think that food made with love did taste better. "I may have to take you up on that Dev can only eat so many quesadillas" he laughed.
Diego chuckled a moment "i guess I have that look about me" he didn't now he always loved it since he was younger. "I guess it's why i teach shop classes" and auto shop but that was a different kind of fixing and building. He was glad the horses were so good just walking along having a good time too. So Diego made sure to give them a pad every now and then. He smiled. "It's been a dream of mine, and if I can do it myself, I am gonna do it." It may take longer and may not be perfect, but he was doing his best. "Driftwood Haven," he smiled. "You should come by and see it," he said, looking at her.
Diego looked at the water for a moment. "I actually just found out about him last year when I moved to town." He hated missing the first few years. "Long story short, I have cousins in town I'd visited over the years, and I hooked up with his mother one trip, and we didn't really think to exchange information." he made it so he never do that again. "But first it was for work, but now it's for him." he smiled as he slowed the horse down as it was heading towards the rocks. @teaganweatherford

She nodded as the other spoke about not cooking much and she smiled. "I love cooking honestly. I don't consider myself to be good at it, but I love doing it." she spoke, shrugging. "If you ever want my help with anything, feel free to ask." she smiled. "I'd love to teach you." And Teagan wasn't just saying that. It was true. "I can see that. You strike me as the kind of guy that likes to fix things." she nodded, looking at him, moving as the horse walked them along the beach. It was a relaxing evening to the day, that was for sure. And in this moment she was reminded how much she had grown to enjoy - and miss - interacting with horses. "That's so cool." Teagan smiled. "I mean, I obviously knew you were pretty handy but I would've never thought you were flipping an entire house." she smiled. "Where is it?" she questioned, wondering what part of town he was fixing the place up at. Not that she needed to know but her mind as curious. "I think a year is about a normal time frame for people to decide that this is where they want to live." she nodded. "Did you move here for your son? Or did you move here on your own?" @diegoocastro
Diego smiled at her, "It's a classic, and I think everyone can eat it." It was a go-to kid's meal for many kids, too, something you could make very quickly. "It is very nice, now I don't cook enough it's not my thing" and he was normally busy with work and his son to have time to cook that much. But he did enough to make dinner for himself and Dev when he needed too.
"I think I am more of a fix-it sort of guy, so I'd rather build something or fix something." I also paint, but that was painting walls, not art, really. "Very soon" so he be busy during the weekdays for a while. "I have two auto shop classes and 3 wood shop classes each day." it worked out for him. "I bought a home, and I am remodeling it, you know, flipping it, but for myself and Dev," he smiled. "It's almost done, so I can show you soon." he was excited about it. "I have just been here a year, and I want more space for Dev and me, and I just always wanted to fix up a place." That really could be his. The horses were great and kind pretty much walking on their own down the beach. "I mean, you can always ask the stable here if they need a hand or something?" he asked, wondering. "And I think the rescue farm in town would be glad to have your help," he said, thinking of the ideas. "I only ever did if my family went someplace," so it was a vacation thing for Diego. @teaganweatherford

"Okay, but quesadilla's are delicious! One of my favorite dishes is a good quesadilla." Honestly, Teagan loved most anything that could be tossed on a tortilla shell and warmed up. It didn't take much to please her though, especially when there was food involved. "I agree. Sometimes spending time in the kitchen cooking is the best way to pass the time."
Listening as the other spoke, now comfortably sitting on top of the horse, Teagan looked over at him. "Oh yeah, I guess those classes are starting up again soon. Do they keep you busy?" Teagan was curious what his work load was like once the school year was in full swing. And she also knew that he had shop class that they both attended during the year as well, not including her own work schedules. "What are you doing to your house?" she questioned, looking at him for a moment. "Remodeling?" the question was genuine, but she didn't want to sound like she was just being nosey. When he asked the question as well, she shrugged. "I'm not really sure. I think it would be cool to be working or around horses more closely again, actually." she admitted. "I used to ride a lot as a kid, and I think it could be fun to kind of see myself get into that again." @diegoocastro
He snorted. "My cousin has all the skills; I can just make a quesadilla at the most," he joked. He had a few basics but nothing that would be a real meal. "But that sounds like fun, one thing we can make and eat and another going to a real restaurant." he thought both sounded great and would give him more time with her.
He smiled at her from their hands. It had been a while since he had met anyone he wanted to date and be around like Tegan. "That is true; it does take a bit to ride a horse." You had to hold yourself in place so the ride wasn't as rough. He was glad to find two nice horses who already knew what to do so they could take it nice and slow. He smirked. "Mostly getting ready for the new school year and finding new ways to raise funds." his classes did cost a bit "and finishing up my place," he smiled at her. "What about you?" he asked @teaganweatherford

"I'm sure your cooking skills are fine." she nodded. "Maybe we can find a recipe to make together or something?" she questioned. "And in the mean time find that authentic place out of town to visit. Maybe compare the two." she winked.
Laughing, giving his hand a gentle squeeze, Teagan smiled. "I mean, we'd burn some calories." she laughed. "But horse back riding sounds like a much better relaxing evening." she smiled. Once they were on the beach, she returned her attention towards him, letting her horse slow to match his horse's speed. "So, tell me, outside of signing petitions to get authentic Mexican food here in town, what's something you want to be doing in a year? If you could pick anything at all?" @diegoocastro
He was glad to see that she was down for the idea of going to the next town over for Mexican food and would be there to hope for a place to open in town. "I wish I could cook to make you some but I'll take you to the best place to make up for it" he smiled.
Diego was happy to have this time with Tegan and that it was going well. He wanted to take his time with her but was glad to feel her hand brush his that he had held her hand now. It wasn't much of a walk to the stable, but it was a start. "I don't think bike riding would be fun after dinner," he joked as he got himself onto the horse. "Please I will be the one on my ass I've ridden like 3 times in my life" he chuckled. He just never was around it so he could do it. @teaganweatherford

"That sounds amazing. I'll be sure to keep an eye out, but I think you have a point." she laughed. She was really having a great time, and she loved how lighthearted the conversation was. Diego was great, and Teagan was glad that things were going so smoothly. "It's okay, your forgiven." she laughed, taking a few steps towards the stables her hand brushing against Diego's as she walked. "But honestly, if you'd have told me it was anything else I likely would've been disappointed." she laughed, shaking her head, approaching the stables slowly. Once they were at the stables, horses being led to the sand a few moments later, Teagan looked over at Diego as she mounted the horse. "You've gotta promise me that you won't laugh at me if I end up falling off of this or something." she chuckled. @diegoocastro
He nodded "I think we do, we have a bit of everything else and more one one place to get coffee but no place to get killer tacos?" he said with a laugh. He had gone to fast food places but nothing was better then good Mexican food place. "You know you need a place that just had small walk up window and drive threw and has one person making it all and his name is Matro" he smirked. "Like next time we can go into the city nearby and I can give you some real Mexican food." he smiled at the thought of a next time. He was having a good time with her now, they did get along well so he was hoping she felt the same.
He chuckled at her for a moment lightly. "No, I should have said it was horseback riding," he rubbed the back of his neck. "I forgot there was so many things you could ride on the beach." he admitted. "I am just glad you want to do this I know not everyone would be down for this" he said as they made their way over to the horses "It should be really fun" he was excited he did love animals and he knew it was going be good time on the beach. @teaganweatherford

"They really do, we should petition for one." she laughed, though Teagan wasn't at all the person to ask about a good genuine Mexican meal; she was often times satisfied with Taco Bell enough to satisfy any 'Mexican food' cravings that came through. She was thoroughly enjoying herself, and she loved that she found it easy to talk to Diego; the conversation had truly changed at least four times since they started eating, which made it easy to be comfortable. His laugh once they were at the stables made her laugh, the slightest hint of pink flushing her cheeks in embarrassment. "I know that was a silly question, but, I've seen people drive their cars on the beach, ride bikes, all of that stuff." she spoke. "So, honestly, While it was silly, I needed to clarify." she laughed along with him, nodding when he said he thought it would be fun. "I agree though. I think it's the perfect ending to the day." @diegoocastro
Diego smiled at her, glad that she liked that too. He knew people who liked chains since it was always a safe bet for something to eat for them. But half the time, the food wasn't good and made in a rush. "Right? I love them for sure," he smiled. But this town does need a good Mexican place." He had to go out of town to get a good meal. He cooked okay but not as good as the real deal. "Right you and me both? But the cokes are so much better." he was glad he always had case at his place. "But I will have to get you one" once they went bac later or another day whatever happened.
Hearing what she said, he laughed, almost going to make a bad joke. "Yes, horseback unless you wanted to walk," he smirked. He was glad she did seem into it. "Glad you like to ride" he smiled it would have been harder if she didn't know how to do that. "But I thought it is fun for us and nice..." around sunset, so it ended the date nicely, he hoped. @teaganweatherford
