Thrantovember Day 3 - Blind AU

“You wear… contacts?” Eli stared up at his boyfriend.

“Yes,” Thrawn admitted. “For a couple of years now,”

“Huh,” Eli tilted his head. “I didn’t know you needed contacts…”

“In order to fly a ship and train in the academy, I needed to be able to see,” Thrawn explained. “My brother helped me get to the doctor to get me contacts,”

“I see…” Eli hummed. “Well, you can’t wear contacts while ya sleep, hon, ya need to remove ‘em,”

“...I can’t,” Thrawn’s lips pursed. “I… get the engulfed with darkness the moment I remove them, and I need to see the way to my bed,”

“Darkness?” Eli frowned. “Thrawn… are ya… blind?”

Thrawn nodded, though it was slower than he wanted. Was it a sensitive topic? “Yes… I am,”

“Oh,” Eli gave a hum. “Were ya… born blind?”

“...yes,” Thrawn gave another slow nod. Ah. That’s why. “A Chiss is usually born with glowing red eyes, shimmering through the darkness of a room… but I was not. The moment my eyes opened, they did not shine. They did not glow. They were dull, and we could not afford to fix them,”

“Fix them?” Eli asked. “Have Chiss found a solution to fixing blindness?”

“Only for newborns, but even then, it would be a process,” Thrawn explained. “A special eye drop is set in the eyes of each blind newborn, and it should be dropped every day to help the child to see… but it was expensive,” He let out a sigh. “My family was in poverty, only able to buy food for one day per day. By the time I finally had managed to gather enough money to fix my eyes, it had been already too late,”

His voice slowly grew quiet. Eli’s eyes softened, reaching out to caress his cheek. “May I… see your eyes?” he requested.

Thrawn’s breath hitched, but he gave in with a small nod. Eli smiled and gently reached out to remove the contacts from his lover’s eyes. His eyes saddened, finally seeing the dullness of the red in the other’s eyes as he set the contacts aside.

“Oh, Thrawn…”

“Is it… that terrible?” Thrawn swallowed.

“No… No, no, not terrible,” Eli shook his head. “Just… different, but…” He smiled and kissed him softly. “Your eyes are beautiful, no matter how they look,”

Thrawn felt his face flush before he gave his own smile. “Thank you, Eli…”

“You’re welcome, honey,” Eli giggled. “Now, let’s get to bed,”

“Without… my contacts?” Thrawn tensed a little.

“Don’t worry, baby,” Eli held his hands gently. “I’ll be here to guide ya to bed. Just trust me, alright?”

Thrawn hummed. He gave a smile and squeezed his lover’s hand in response. “I trust you,”

Eli’s smile widened. He slowly led Thrawn to the bed, placing him beside the wall to keep him from falling off the bed. He laid beside him, hands never leaving his own, to make sure he knew that he was still there, even as Thrawn closed his eyes to sleep for the night.

Thrantovember Day 2 - Assassin AU

“Would you get out of my way!?”

Thrawn grunted. “You’re in my way.”

“No way! I was hired to kill the target first!” Eli argued. “You’re the backup!”

[Can you two cut it out?] Their comms echoed through, and their colleague Karyn let out a groan. [You BOTH were hired to take out Krennic. Just two different clients.]

“See, Eli? You weren’t the first,” Thrawn smirked.

“My STARS, shut the fuck up.” Eli glared.

[Target first, argument later.] Karyn reminded them. [Now go! Get moving!] With that, the comm disconnected.

“Karyn is right,” Thrawn nodded. “Perhaps we can work together on this target? Double the payment is good for us,”

“...fine,” Eli let out a sigh. “What’s the plan, then?”

“Well, I’m better at long-range shooting between the two of us,” Thrawn hummed. “And you’re better at surprise attacks. Perhaps we can use both to catch Krennic off-guard enough, so we can both take a kill,”

“Alright, sounds fair,” Eli nodded. “You shoot to distract an’ I’ll come in jumpin’?”

“Yes,” Thrawn gave a nod, placing the mask over his mouth. “It’s better if we follow him to an empty room, to not catch anymore attention as well,”

“Right,” Eli placed his own mask on him. “I’m aware that he is to meet with Governor Pryce later today at the factory. We can either sabotage his walk to the factory or…”

“...we create a holographic illusion to trap him on sight,” Thrawn grinned. “I like the way you think, my dear,”

“I know,” Eli chuckled. “Now come on. Flirts later, action now,”

“Right,” Thrawn took out a bow and arrow. “Praytell on how you only have a knife on you? This assassin might be a droid of some sort,”

“Whether it is or not, I always trust my precious knife,” Eli twirled around his blade before placing it in his pocket. “And I always hit my target,”

“Good,” Thrawn snickered. “With our skills together, we would be able to do this before the night ends. Perhaps after, we may get to know each other then, hm?”

“I’ll take ya up on that offer, Thrawn,” Eli turned around. “Come on, I saw Krennic run along this side,”

“Lead the way, dear,” Thrawn faked a bow, a grin on his face.

Thrawn could feel Eli’s smirk within the mask, but he argued nothing, only following after the other assassin without a second word.

Needless to say, they both managed to earn money for a date that night.

Thrantovember Day 1 - Angel/Demon AU

“We shouldn’t be meetin’ like this,” Eli hissed, flicking his bat-like wings as he landed on top of the mountain.

“If you have any better way to meet, darling,” Thrawn lowered the cloud near the demon. “I’m open to suggestions,”

Eli chuckled. He flicked his tail, arms crossing. “We could always leave. I can easily disguise myself as a human, ya know?”

“I wish it were that easy, love,” Thrawn sighed. “Thrass is insistent to keep our meetings a secret, so I wouldn’t fall,”

“I still can’t believe your brother doesn’t mind that you’re in a relationship with a demon,” Eli snorted.

“What can I say, dear?” Thrawn grinned, a soft blush on his light blue face. “He has been so used to me taking a liking to the most strangest of creatures,”

“Really?” Eli raised an eyebrow. “Do ya always fuck around with other beings?”

“One at a time, don’t worry,” Thrawn assured, reaching back into his robe. “Now, I called you here to give you a gift,”

“A gift?” Eli blinked. It wasn’t quite odd, the angel had gifted him so many trinkets in the past. It was adorable, how his fluffy wings flapped excitedly as he gave him golden gift after golden gift, and it made him feel guilty that he lacked the ability to give the same amount of effort.

“Here, my love,” A box was placed in front of him. “Belated day of creation!”

“My birthday was days ago… and ya already gave me a gift…” Eli tilted his head, taking the gift box in his hands. “Ya sure ya wanna keep givin’ me golden stuff?”

“Yes… but this isn’t golden, I promise,” Thrawn assured. “It’s actually adorable!”

Eli hummed. He softly opened the box, and his eyes lit up, raising the two dolls. One was of him, and the other was of Thrawn.

“They’re… dolls?”

“They’re dolls similar to the one that is ‘trending’ in the social medias of the humans,” Thrawn chirped as he got the doll that looked like his lover. “Watch!” He squeezed the doll gently.

“I love you!” The Thrawn doll squeaked out as it gave a bright glow.

Eli blushed. “Wow…”

“I know. Fascinating, right?” Thrawn grinned. “Now, even if we’re apart, we would always know that we love each other,” He hugged the Eli doll, prompting the other doll to squeak out ‘I love you!’ once more.

“Thrawn…” Eli’s eyes softened. It looked odd with his demonic features, but Thrawn didn’t comment as the demon gently hugged the doll. Not enough to squeeze it, but enough that it was adorable. “I love it. Thank you,”

“You’re welcome, honey,” Thrawn squeezed the Eli doll once more. “Well, I must go. Thrass can only cover for me for so long,” He kissed his cheek before fluttering back up into the clouds. “See you tomorrow, my darling! I love you!”

Eli watched as his partner entered the opening in the clouds. He sighed and glanced at the doll, gently caressing the cheek of the doll. “You… fuckin’ adorable angel…” He chuckled and squeezed the doll.

“I love you.”
