What do you think that laito did see in yui that made him think that he really loves her / feel like she's the one and start to change his self or his mind about love and the way he act
So, everything from HDB is out the window because that wasn't Laito "loving" Yui, that was just him messing around and just,,, being Laito. I've made ramblings on "loving" Yui in the first game, which you can find here if you're curious!
However, I won't be talking about HDB in this.
More under the cut!
We know the main thing about Yui in Laito's eyes is that she entertains him. He says a lot how he's "never met a girl like her" and how "interesting" she is to him. It's almost a curiosity kills the cat situation on his end. Sure he's wanting to push all her buttons and see how far she'll go for certain things, and just not wanting to be bored. However, he's around her all the time! She's surviving a lot of his antics, and we know a bride hasn't survived as long as Yui has, so I can't imagine that Laito is used to interacting with someone (especially a girl) outside of his family all the time. They live together! They're kind of glorified roommates! Especially in MB + DF.
I keep saying how MB+ is an "open system" and how Laito doesn't destroy Yui to the extent that he does compared to HDB. To fulfill his "plan," he really needs no interference. Despite his facade being quite strong, we know that he can be delicate when something unexpected happens or when certain buttons are pushed (like the entirety of Richter's existence, for example). So, in MB and DF especially, Yui gets to help Laito in a more constructive and fruitful way unlike HDB. She's still showing him the same kindness in HDB but isn't mentally deteriorating as much in HDB (exponentially). So with Laito having his walls down in MB/DF because of things happening to him outside of him and Yui, his heart opens a little bit.
Yui's an extremely forgiving and loving person, almost to a fault. The fact that she forgives Laito for his facade and just all that has happened to him was something he needed. She accepted Laito too, even without his mask and including his issues, which is something he needed. That's how love in general begins; accepting someone else and letting them into your heart. Laito saw the kindness and love Yui has for him at the end of his MB chapter (as in Yui sacrificing her life for Laito) and that gave him a dose of reality.
In his MB short story, he mentions this:
Leaning against a nearby pillar, I snort a self-derisive laugh. Just a short time ago, I’d absolutely never have entertained such thoughts. But for some reason, ever since that incident, my body has been seething with strange emotions, and I began often considering these simple things.
I can’t even say when it possessed me.
More and more, I started thinking about the child that had become perverted. Every time, surely it was from being around her. So I guess I’m thinking about this because of you.
But I’m not inclined to dredge up the past at this late hour. I’ve always preferred to face forward. Even now, surely she’s the reason I’ve become trapped, blundering through this maze.
It's always been because of Yui. He's self reflecting in MB and especially DF. I've used the above quote before and clarify how "you" is referring to Yui, and "she/her" is referring to Cordelia. Yui's making (albeit indirectly) him realize the error of his ways and how he
At the end of his ecstacy chapters, he says this too:
Laito: So, love… …seems to be a good feeling of thing after all… …
I think… …you were asking to be loved.
Yui: … …Yeah… …it’s good. But, still.
Laito: Fufu… …I thought that Bitch-chan was saying so… ..It’s something you only know… …
But, I’m relieved… …to do things like this… …Nn… …
――Yui, only you.
He even recognizes Yui's own feelings too. This is such great development for him––Yui wanted to be accepted by Laito. She's been going through the wringer lately though with having her life being threatened all the time and then finding out her own father abandoned her, so she has a lot of issues of her own to work out. But she genuinely seems to care for Laito in MB+, which in turn teaches Laito about love. He had to kind of go through a lot of unexpected things though in order to get there. He was in a lot of physical, mental, and emotional pain in MB that he's not used to, so he wasn't able to gloss it over with his facade because it's something he didn't "calculate" into a response with his mask.
Hope that makes sense, I feel like I ran down a bit of a rabbit hole with this one oops! But if there's anything else you want me to clarify or go more in depth with etc, please let me know as always!
Thanks for asking!

Escapism Chapter 3
Matthew quickly swept Cordelia up into his arms and carried her into a side hallway leading into an ornately decorated retiring room.
Trying to grasp on to any control of the situation Matthew laid Cordelia out onto the nearrst loveseat and fell to his knees at her side.
He check first for a pulse; steady if not a little fast. And then he checked her temperature. She was sticky with sweat and flushed pink all over, radiating heat.
He couldn't drag her back out into the main room and drive home abandoning Anna and, subsequently causing a scene. He was on thin ice already for the last surprise Shadowhunter visit he didn't think an injured one on their hands would bode over well on anyone's side.
His mind was going a thousand miles a minute and none of the miles traveled were getting him anywhere. He cursed himself for not knowing what to do. He was usually reliable when push came to shove but here he was now.
Panicking. Helpless.
Matthew was debating going and looking for Anna when Cordelia started to stir. Startled Matthew jumped a little and pulled his hand back quickly from her forehead. However Cordelia's hand came up to grab his wrist before he could get too far.
Her glassy eyes peeled open slowly and gazed up at him through heavy lips.
"Matthew?"
"Oh thank goodness. Cordelia how are you feeling. Can you tell me where we are? How we got here?". Matthew contuned with every grounding question he could think up before noticing the far off look in her eyes.
"Cordelia can toy understand me? Cordelia." Matthew was starting to become more urgent but Cordelia just lazily shifted her gaze from the wallpaper to his face. She blinked slowly and let a lazy smile play at her lips and giggled.
Good god. She was drunk.
Matthew had spent so many hours with experienced drinkers and sturdy part goers who held their drink well he forgot what it was like for someone to be newly intoxicated. And, as he was starting to theorize, Cordelia did not hold her drink well on a good day. Especially not today where she had been keeping up if not beating Matthew to the bottle.
But that was just the thing. With her he felt almost no need to reach for the flask. To have that poisonous touch stone. He, was not as drunk as he was used to and this made him uneasy. It was not like him to be in the other person's shoes.
"You're much prettier than him". Cordelia mumbled low in her voice, letting her head sway back.
"Pardon?" Matthew said furrowing his brown
"When he change back and forth I was so delighted to see him wearing your face. I thought I would have to look at James forever."
This must've been what Cordelia saw in the shape changing man, him and James. But why?
His thoughts were inturpted by Cordelia lifting her hand to his head. She ran her fingers through his hair. Rough and callous; they were warrior hands. He had never thought of worked hands as more beautiful than in this moment.
Cordelia widened her eyes and gave Matthew an adorably serious gaze given the circumstances.
"Angel", she stated matter of factly.
Matthew chucked despite himself, "who? Me? Maybe one of the tiny mischievous cherubs painted on some clouds but no most certainly not an angel."
Cordelia was beginning to look frustrated with him now, scrunching up her nose at him.
"Your hair Matthew. Its like", another chuckle slipped in, "angel wings, golden and feathery."
Matthew was no stranger to observations about his hair. Most were either mocking remarks by the Merry Theives or a flirtatious coming on from a gentleman or lady at the bar.
But because it was her it all felt brand new.
Cordelia raised her other hand to his left cheek as her right hand came down from his hair to squeeze his cheeks in.
"It also looks very hard to maintain, like an angel. Can you imagine keeping all those feather untangled? I shudder at the thought of how many boars brushes I'd go through."
Matthew's face lit up and he laughed a short loud snort that was muffled and distorated dude to Cordelia still gripping his face.
"Matthew?"
"Hm?"
Cordelia relaxed her grib but didn't let her hands fall. "If I asked you to do me a favor would you do it?"
"Mhmm", he mustered out. Her string gaze was making him sweat like a soloist under a spot.
"Please kiss me Matthew. I'm so tired of being someone's second choice. I want to have one moment of my heart that is for myself and not stolen away from me by careless childish men and distant drunk fathers and whatever other battles iudt fight. For once I don't want to be a hero I just want to love and not be hurt." Her eyes were begining to fill with tears as Matthew gathered her into his arms.
He brought her down to the floor with his and rocked her back and forth while she cried. He didn't think he had ever seen her cry. Not even when her leg had been practically snapped in half after the battle with Belial.
But she cried now and Matthew would never let her feel weak for her. All true hero's cried, for the world is terrible and without tears theirs no expression of grief for what could've been.
Cordelia stopped shaking after a few minutes and stilled. Still gripping Matthew's shirt she looked up at him. All golden hair and golden skin. With the torch back lighting him one would think he really was an angel.
"Cordelia whatever you need from me to make this better. Say the world and I will bend heaven." His face searched hers frantically as he hesitantly reached up with his hand. His fingers brushing aside some stray curles that had stuck to her lips and cheeks in thr past couple minutes.
"Matthew I want to kiss you". Cordelia looked for sober than she had been moments before. Her eyes more level, like the crying rid her of her initial euphoria.
"Cordelia please-", Matthew began but was cut off
Cordelia began to draw back into herself. "Matthew if you don't wish to the we can simply pretend this never happened and blame it on the-"
Cordelia never got to finish her sentence.
Matthew gathered her up in his arms and leaned down to cover her lips with her own. Cordelia was quick to respond. She leaned in close to his chest tilting her head up to meet him.
There was a slow and luxurious passion to the method in which Matthew kissed her. He did not take liberties or assume what she wanted. His kisses were long and hot, like lava rolling down an island.
They grew impatient with this careful passion however. Cordelia reached out and cupped the back of Matthew's necks, using this leverage to pull gersl further into his lap. Between kisses Matthew pulled back and dipped his head under her jaw and kisses lightly.
"Break my heart Cordelia", he kissed her jaw line, "strike my face", he feathered a kiss on her cheek bone. "You'll wish to forget me come morning but for now let me be yours in this world we've created."
Cordelia pulled back and looked Matthew with her eyebrows drawn. She looked as if she was going to make a reply but instead she cried out in pain gripping her stomach.
Matthew pulled back from her as he himself was pulled back violently into the cold water memories of his mom's illness.
Cordelia stumbled to her feet and met his gaze in a panic before she crumpled forward infront of him. He rushed to catch her as she fell but only succeeded in softening her fall as she took him down to the floor as well.
----
Anna had been having quiet the night of sideshow and talent. She had learned to juggle with one hand and mix a particularly strong cocktail from the new mixologist who had been entranced by her eyes and who Anna has thought in return had the most lovely monolid and sharp jawline.
Thought the night was getting slower and she too was starting to wish to retire to bed.
She set off quite some time ago to locate Matthew and Cordelia but was having a hell of a time wrangling them. She was now searching the east wing retiring rooms in a last ditch attempt to locate them. Even if it meant finding them in a surprising manor. Thought, Anna doubted, Matthew would ever have it in him to break Jamse's heart and confess his obvious infatuation with the girl.
Then again, love is a two way path.
What she didn't expect to find was a colapsing Cordelia and Matthew grabbing at her like a drowning man in rapids.
She watched as Cordelia's stumble three Matthew off his feet and into the ground cushioning her fall and landing him on his knees, practically crushing her in his grib.
Matthew looked like a young boy again. One who had just broke their favorite new toy and had come to terms with the fact that things break. It broke their hearts like this moment now broke Anna's.
She had no time to react before Matthew looked up at her, hair falling over his forehead in a drastically unfashionable way as his wide eyes bore into her. He looked 13 again.
He croaked out in a heart shatteringly desparate tone.
"Help me."

@what-a-goode-witch-you-are
“Absolutely” Misty dropped the last of her clothing to the floor and stepped into the warm water carefully lowering herself into the tub her muscles screaming as the hot water made contact. She sighed heavily taking in the white walls. She had never been so excited and thankful for the lack of color. She wiggled behind Cordelia laying against the back of the tub and opening her arms for the smaller witch. Pulling her close she closed her eyes and reveled in the touch of her skin against her own. She had a million questions to ask the supreme but decided that the time was best spent in silence. The slight dripping of water echoing off of the stoic walls seemed to time itself with their breathing. She was beyond thankful for the pale light that seemed to grant her headache a small reprieve and the closeness of her lover that provided her with much needed grounding against her thoughts.
She brought her fingers to dance along the soft skin of Delia’s abdomen before resting her open palm along her undamaged ribs. “Miss.Cordelia?” Her voice was strained and sounded awkward cutting through the intense silence. “Do ya think we’re safe? Do ya think it’ll be okay now?” Her question was more of a plea than anything really. She knew full well that they couldn’t possibly be safe. That any number of people in that building could come knocking at anytime for revenge or just out of sheer curiosity. Delia’s abilities had been more than put on display during their hasty exit. Not to mention the showing in the woods of damning Odefey to his own personal hell. Misty sighed heavily and shuddered slightly at the thought of him. He had been added to the list of faces that would continue to haunt her dreams. The thought of his laugh filled her chest with dread and made her stomach churn. The thought of his hands elicited an entirely different brand of fear that made her want to scrub her skin off and hide under their duvet indefinitely. She couldn’t shake the thought that she wasn’t good enough for Cordelia. The supreme surely deserved better or at the bed least braver. She shuddered again pulling Cordelia closer and thanking the Gods for the opportunity to do so. “I really thought I was gonna have to marry him” she whispered softly reaching down to lace her fingers with Cordelia’s their ring fingers laying together, bare, and thankfully so. Her thoughts played against her causing her heart to race and her palms to itch.
“I guess I ought to wash yer hair before we both freeze to death” her soft smile fell slightly as she moved herself to a more functional position. Gently wetting Delia’s hair and scrubbing away the latest round of sweat and dirt. “We really gotta stay outta the woods for a while” she laughed lightly as she pulled a small leaf from Delia’s hair. She rinsed away the soap and carefully worked out the tangles with conditioner before rinsing that as well. “Clean as a whistle” she mumbled agaisnt thr skin of Cordelia’s shoulder as she placed a few soft kisses along the fading bruises before carefully lacing her arms back around Cordelia’s middle. “Delia...If yer mad at me I understand” her voice was low and laced with shame and fear “I made a lot a choices that I ain’t so sure about anymore an’ I don’t blame ya one bit if ya hate me er maybe don’t want me anymore. Between hell an’ all this mess I ain’t even sure if I’m still alive anymore” she ran her fingers along the water swirling trails in the soap.

Cody Fern Explains Portraying the Antichrist on "American Horror Story: Apocalypse"
American Horror Story has certainly had its share of terrifying villains over the years (Twisty the Clown still gives me nightmares TBH). However, it could be argued that AHS: Apocalypse might have brought fans its scariest character yet with Michael Langdon, AKA the grown-up demon child from Murder House AKA the antichrist. I mean, you can’t get much more evil than the literal spawn of Satan, right?
It turns out that Cody Fern had some pretty wild ideas about his character leading up to filming the current season. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor revealed that showrunner Ryan Murphy didn’t exactly divulge all the details of his role when he initially signed on. “[Murphy] told me that I’d be playing this character who would have very long, blonde hair and an affinity for capes,” Cody said. “The way that he described the character was as if he was the protagonist, and that Sarah [Paulson]’s character — who I now understand is really Venable and Cordelia — is the antagonist.”
Yep, you read that right; Cody was under the impression that he’d be playing a character who, in his words, “ultimately was a good guy.” The actor even thought his name would be Elijah Cross; he didn’t realize that he’d be portraying Michael until receiving the final draft of the script. Once Cody got to his costume fitting, however, he knew something was up. “Everything was so dark and chic with the red scarves,” the actor told THR, adding that when he learned his character’s real name, he knew what he was about to walk into.
This isn't the first time that Murphy has seemingly "tricked" his cast for the purpose of character development. Earlier this year, Emma Roberts told Variety that, while filming Coven, the showrunner had told all of the actors portraying witches that they were each the Supreme. "We were all walking around like, 'Ugh, no one knows, but I’m the Supreme,'" she said at the time. "And then later, we all told each other."
As for Michael Langdon, Cody still doesn’t think that he is 100% evil (and neither do the fans, some of whom believe that the character’s good side might actually win out before the season’s end). As Cody explained to THR, “I’m not looking at [the world] through the eyes of someone who is evil or malevolent, or who wants the world to end. I’m looking at it through the eyes of someone who is lost.” He added that Michael has been hurt and abandoned in the past, and has been looking for guidance. “He wasn’t born with this idea that he has to end the world. He was born with a compulsion and now that compulsion has become personal.”
As for where his journey will go, Cody didn’t say much (after all, AHS is known for its unexpected plot twists at every corner). But he did tease that the season’s conclusion is “satisfying and overwhelming and fun and tragic,” adding “there’s going to be a battle and it’s going to be surprising. It’s not going to go the way we all think it’s going to go.” Luckily, with only a few episodes left, it won’t be much longer before we find out.

So discountcowboy sent me the Buffy ask meme and because I can’t work the internet or apparently my thumbs, I accidentally deleted it, so lemme just make a post about the ask!
3. Just answered it on the last ask I did! Which is totally my bad for taking so long to answer, so you couldn’t see which question I was working on answering when you sent the ask, but also I think I pulled a muscle the other day trying to lift my fat kitty cat and my arm still feels like a floppy noodle and also I think I have some kind of poisoning from suspicious supermarket candy, so please have mercy on me. If you go look at the post I just did, it will be there!!! Great minds really do think alike :)
8. Same with number eight! Again! My bad!
10. Three way tie between Glory, The Mayor, and our favor toxic polycule Angelus/Spike/Dru as far as love goes. Now Glory has fantastic fashion and her brain sucking thing is totally wack, but Angelus dresses like a slut and is so ridiculous funny. Also I’m in love with Drusilla. And also also I want to want to watch the Bachelor with Spike. But thr Mayor is so fun! I love how he hates germs and seems to actually be a good mayor??? He’s like your dad, but secretly evil. Which is very aesthetic of him. So you see my dilemma here, sexy slut vampires, petty Hell God, or evil snake mayor who genuinely cares about his community. But are far as being a good villain goes, I’d have to give it to the Mayor, because his plan is meticulously thought out, whereas Glory’s doesn’t even learn who the key is until the 19th episode and Angelus pretty much just goes “you know what would be crazy lmao? what if we started the apocalypse?”. But I do love them all so so much.
13. They didn’t exactly give me anything to rank, so imma just tell you my top fave favorite characters
1) Buffy, my darling
2) Tie between Anya (who’s basically me but hotter) and Cordelia (my gay awakening)
3) Faith 🥵
4) Another tie between Drusilla (crazy and hot) and Darla (hot and crazy). Who either need to be my or each other girlfriends.
5 (If Angel counts)) Fred 🥺. She’s technically only one Angel, but I love her so much. She’s so wonderful.
5 (If Angel doesn’t count)) Tara!!! BABY!!!
If you’re seeing a pattern, it’s that I love women. Don’t get me wrong, I love the male characters, but the women of Buffy are so wow
#i also adore tara but poor baby doesnt get developed enough#:(#ask#kinda#sorry discountcowboy#my bad!!!#but thank you so much!!!#btvs

𝙰𝙿𝙿𝚁𝙴𝙷𝙴𝙽𝚂𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝚁𝙴𝚂𝚃𝚂 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝚅𝚈 𝙸𝙽 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙰𝙸𝚁. She stands uneasy, lacking in some form of confidence. She isn’t the Supreme, that much is certain, but Cordelia runs the school as best as she can. She isn’t surprised to see the celebrity here, not after the tabloids circulating. ❝ Welcome, Madison. Why don’t you take a seat and tell me what’s brought you here. ❞ She wants to hear her account of it, what she felt, anything but what other people are saying. It isn’t about them, after all.
