So yesterday, I was started a new year, and I must say I am super skeptical about want to expect in this new year. I worry to much, which is not so good, but the big truth is I worry😎. I have trying to come up with so many resolution about every single thing I do and trying to play with my head around it. Super unrealistic cos we only know about now, I wish I was an immortal being😖😖😖. Away from bad vibes. I super want to say thank you to all of my amazing friends and family. I scaled through, because you all came through for me. I know I love birthdays, but often times it scares me to my stomach; probably because I am kinda afraid of growing up🙅🙅🙅. Thought Thursday: Just Kids by Patti Smith

"No one expected me. Everything awaited me."

I mean not to brag but a good handful of my tinder matches (don't laugh its the 21st century people!!) once told me I look like Patti Smith. Although I don’t really see it, I guess it might have something to do with my quote on quote “strong features”. Nevertheless Patti is a badass and if people want to associate my plain jane face with hers I will not object!

This #thoughtthursday is about the book Just Kids by Patti Smith. I wanted to purchase this book for so long and a while back I finally got to it. I literally could have read the entire book in a few hours as I couldn’t put it down, but I really didn’t want to finish it so quickly so I made a rule to myself to only read a certain amount of pages a day!

Reading Just Kids is like living Patti’s life alongside her. Imagine, late 60′s early 70′s New York City, making love and making art, artists, rock and roll stars, drugs, late nights, and everything in between all happening to one simple girl. The novel is so moving and the entire time you are either laughing, crying, shocked, or sometimes even everything at once. 

Just Kids works through Patti’s life and her relationship with her long time companion Robert Mapplethorpe. It explains how she ended up in New York city and all the crazy things she got her self into afterwards. 

I highly recommend you read this book, although your eyes will be shrivelled up from tears and you probably won’t be able to stop googling images of Patti and Robert together :/
