so like, i understand where this is coming from but also no??? this will end up being just an excuse for me to talk about ennead but whaterver.

My problem with Ennead is not the SA in it but how it's handled, it borders fetishization and you can't convice me otherwise (especially if you've seen the extras) and i don't think people are wrong for expressing how they feel about it. I've seen some people say you can just skip those parts cause it won't matter seeing what happens just understanding what happens, but my thoughts in writing are "if not necessary why is it part of the story at all?", i would argue that nothing in Ennead is as graphic as the SA scenes so i understand people who are upset by it cause it's okay to critique a media. I don't agree with people supposedly threathening the author but it should be fine to critique their work, as any other sort of media. The driving point of the story is seth's trauma but i've seen people saying that it was not even SA cause the gods don't have this concept wich really upsets me cause it seems people are misunderstanding the core of this story.

Now i'm not a purist, actually i really like Ennead, i like the general idea for the plot, the artstyle and i can see the love and care the author puts in their craft just by the hyeroglyphs that are actually readable and give cool info. The reason i stopped reading is simply because i got bored, the second season is not nearly as good as the first one, i understand the necessity of the SA scenes in the first season, cause one is the reason seth kills osiris and the other is a part of the real myhthology the author decided to explore and that leads to important scenes, but in the second season they have almost no reason for being there and are barely plot relevant? sometimes i even forget they happpen and they're definitley less impactifull as the ones in the first season. It also feels way less eventfull than the first one. Also kill me for this but horus is such a boring love interest, he's generic broody quiet puppy like lover boy 1000, honestly even the bird has more persnonality than him, almost anyother ship is better than this one. I'm fine with most ships withac seth but honestly i can't get anubis and seth, not because "oooh it incestuous like the rest of the pairings", no i know that incest is sadly inescaple in almost any mythology (wake up hades and persephone are actually uncle and niece) because i know ennead says that gods don't care for parent-child status but seth deeply cares about his status as anubis father and that is a main part of his character which is why it doesn't go over my head.

Now for another thing i heard people yapping about in the comments is "well but in real mythology bla bla bla" first of people treat mythology like it's a book, like things are linear and all makes sense and conect, like the MCU(cinematic) when it's actually more like the MCU(comics) where one run might or not acknowledge things about another run; plus in real life mythology gods aren't characters: they are concepts, but when you're writing a story based on mythology you're working with characters not concepts. Secondly when you're reimagining a mythos or even building up from it you're changing it, you're not working with real life mythology you're working with your own version of it, think disney's hercules for example, it almost barely resembles real greek mythology but still works in it's own. Therefore, what happens in the og mythos doens't matter unless the author decides it does, so yeah what matters is what's actually in the story.

Well i guess that's my ramble ehhh, i dunno just a lot of thoughts that wer eating my brain.

"The SA in Ennead was so unnecessary and makes the story bad/ the author a bad person" IT IS THE DRIVING POINT OF THE STORY. IT IS LITERALLY WHY EVERYHTING THATS HAPPENING IS HAPPENING. IF YOU DONT LIKE STORIES WHERE BAD AND UNCOMFORTABLE THINGS HAPPEN THAN DO NOT READ THEM. THE RELATIONSHIP DYNAMICS IN IT ARE UNHEALTHY AND COMPLICATED WHICH IS THE DAMN POINT. If you want to read stories where nothing bad happens and everyone is healthy and happy then don't read stories where the main focus is tragedy and trauma and then get mad when bad things happen to the characters. DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT.

Angie loves ladies with big hats so much that she turned a lady (Dehya) who doesn't even wear a hat normally into a big hat wearer (I know it's supposed to be a mask, but with the way it would be put on it's basically an elaborate hat!). Also, I just had a cursed thought. Just imagining a person just randomly coming across all the posts mentioning "big hat ladies" and thinking that "big hats" is a euphemism for something else 💀

Also, I'm just curious, but is the Dehya that the Final Girl meets in Silent Hill supposed to be the actual Dehya? The way some the sentences are phrased sounds like they're implying it might not be the real her. Would she be able to take off the mask? Would her wifey try to ask her too?

Also to answer your question, the Dehya you read in the fic is not actually your wife, so I’m glad you picked up on that! In the game, Silent Hill is a town that makes manifestations of people that haunt you mentally and torment you. Pyramid Head is also a manifestation in the game, so the Dehya you read in the fic is not your real wife.

The real Dehya’s body is still missing and long gone, but I decided to make it so that even though she’s dead, parts of her live on as this manifestation of Pyramid Head. Kinda like a spirit in a way :)

P.S: She still looks the same under her giant pyramid head. She can take off her mask and she looks the same, but despite everything being identical, it’s not Dehya’s original body.

Wait so can Pyramid Head talk to marcus even if he’s away? What are all the things marcus has access to with Pyramid Head and the mark.

He can't 'speak' to Marcus when he's not there, but he can share emotions and intentions. For example, if he were to reach out to Marcus because he wanted to speak to him, he would be hit with the feeling of 'needing to talk' to him.

It works both ways, so when Marcus says Pyramid Head's name, he can tell if he's just talking and using his name in conversation, if he needs his help, or if he's trying to summon him for a specific reason, i.e. to talk, to fuck, to help him win an argument, ect.

Pyramid Head can locate Marcus through the mark as long as he focuses on that. He can use it to transport himself to Marcus's location, or nab Marcus and pull him into Silent Hill (or wherever the hell he is)

The mark also allows Marcus to understand what Pyramid Head is saying when he 'speaks'. Not all the sounds he makes are actually translatable 'words', sometimes they're just sounds to convey his mood. (Danny is also able to understand Pyramid Head, but he doesn't have a physical mark. That'll be gone into and explained later >:D)

There is... one other thing Pyramid Head can use the mark for, but we haven't gotten there just yet. We will soon though >;)
