Realistically, Bowser would be the one to propose first. Not only that, he'd do it sooner rather than later. Maybe even before the two of you would officially l court one another, or very soon after unless you voiced the fact you'd want to take everything slowly. If you haven't, he'd jump right into it. If you have, he'd wait right up to the point you'd say you were ready. Not a second longer.

Not because he is impatient - though he is impatient - but because he is just that eager to be with you and he just knows you are the perfect match for him.

He wants everyone to know that.

We know he falls in love strongly. And, once he loves you, he won't let go, so he doesn't understand why he'd have to wait to get married and officially have you as his royal consort. He wants you to be by his side as the second monarch of the kingdom, and he wants all the neighbouring allies and foes to know that you are his, now with an added ring on top.

And in terms of the actual proposal - it would be extravagant as there is no amount of gold he wouldn't spend on you.

Though he'd usually shower you with gifts, from delicate clothes and finely crafted jewellery to the most flavourful desserts, coming up to his proposal you'd notice a lot more of them. There'd be a lot more boxes wrapped in clean paper, with ribbons of all sort of colours wrapped around them. He'd leave them in your room and hide them in all the places you frequented.

All until he proposes.

He'd make sure that you were having a good day, preparing all sorts of events for you to take part in by yourself. A shopping spree if you enjoyed those. A buffet prepared in our name with all your favourite foods. Guards would escort you outside the Dark Lands so that you could spend the day in a more scenic environment.

All so you're distracted, giving him time as he prepares flowers and goes over what exactly he will say to you.

He'd make a grand entrance, all proud of himself. If you're uncomfortable with too many people, he would keep it as private as possible. He'd minimise the amount of guards with him, though not by much. After all, Bowser is a proud king. He'd want people to know of his proposal and he wants people to witness his love for you.

If he knows that you're comfortable with people and crowds then be prepared because the only thing that could rival his proposal would be the wedding itself. He'd have music playing as he enters, his back as straight as he could get it to seem all regal in front of you, even though his eyes would deceive his character. He's too madly in love to hold back on the heart-eyes.

Be prepared for the worst pick-up lines possible, because even though you're both already established as in love and in a relationship, he will use them.

Honestly, it'd probably be Kamek's suggestion.

It would be a love confession unlike any other.

His love is for you and you only, meaning that the only person he fears a negative reaction from is you. He feels no embarrassment from the way he acts and the way he makes it clear to anyone and everyone around that he loves you. Only your opinion matters to him.

He will sing for you in that gravely voice of his, present you flowers, and he will get you the shiniest ring he could get.

Depending on what your style is like, the type of metal the ring is made from would be different.

He could have presented you a black or silver-like metal ring that mimics the hues of the spiky bracelets he always wears. He could have presented you a typical golden ring with any form of embellishment to give it the depth you deserve. He could have presented you a rose gold ring. Literally any ring you can imagine if that's what suits your interests. And, no matter the base of the ring, they all would be encrusted with matching gems and precious stones.

Whatever ring choice he settled for, the wedding ring would be far richer. No penny will be spared.

And speaking of no penny spared - the wedding would be quick to follow and it would be the grandest event of the times.

All of your clothes would be custom made, matching in all the possible ways. The accents would be either your favourite colours or they would be the colour of your eyes if you so wished it. Any ribbons would be in that colour. Any embedded gems and sewn in sequins would all follow the colour scheme you select.

No matter your choice, Bowser will be all the more enamoured.

He'd prepare a special venue somewhere within his domain to ensure that everything would be perfect. It had to be perfect. Bowser would not have it any other way. Not for you. The time of day must be perfect. The weather must be perfect. The decorations much be perfect.

Everything would be meticulously picked out in a way he knew fit your liking.

And speaking of meticulously picked out, all of the music would be written by him and prepared perfectly for you. Though he wouldn't play it himself as he'd obviously be at the altar, he'd have the most skilled musicians of his kingdom recite it instead.

And, since all the titles to his melodies would be themed around you, he would expect pure perfection.

Or else he would end up short of a few musicians.

In terms of the guest list, Bowser would invite everyone - or at least everyone of significance. His allies would all get invited. King Boo, King Bob-omb. Bowser would even invite some of his enemies just for the sake of pridefully showing off his new consort-to-be. Anyone you'd like would be invited, be that family or friends - their status doesn't matter to him - all with front seats at the reception.

The enemies do include Princess Peach, Mario, and Luigi.

Bowser would have been extremely worried and stressed before you walked down the aisle. His cheeks would show a bright flush from past the scales and his brows would be knitted and crossed across his face, twitching with anxiety.

What if you changed you mind? What if you didn't want to marry him?

His eyes would be all over the place, skimming the crowd in anticipation, right up to the point when you showed up across the room and the music started playing.

Then he'd be utterly awestruck.

His eyes would go wide, taking you all in and watching as you walked towards him. His maw would be left lightly agape, and his breath would be stuck inside his throat as he visibly followed you with the turn of his head. Even when you finally stood in front of him he'd feel like he's in a dream, leaning in to get a closer look and slouching more than usual to be all the more nearer.

This would be one of the first and only times Bowser would stutter. He doesn't know what to say, and all he'd have is this goofy smile paired with half-lidded heart-eyes. in that moment, for him, there'd be just you and him. How he appeared to the onlookers did not matter to him. He only cared how he'd look in front of you.

Oh, and Kamek would be the marriage officiant.

You'd say your vows whilst Bowser's tail would wag like the tail of an excited puppy.

He'd lean down for you to kiss him and grin even more when you did with a shine in his eyes, heart hammering loud enough for you to hear. There'd be plenty of times when he'd look back at the guests in attendance with a proud look in his gaze like: "Everyone look, this is my consort. They're my spouse now!" He'd be so happy with himself. He'd be so happy to have you.

Now, the wedding ceremony would have been held outside the castle, but the after party would be held within it.

Bowser would have had one of his largest ballrooms prepared, matching the decor of the wedding itself and making sure it all ties together with the grey and black bricks of his castle. Everything would be perfectly polished, clean, and tidy. Nothing would dare be out of place as the two of you celebrate. There would be not a single spec of dust or ash in sight.

During the actual party, the only time he'd be separated from you would be when he's discussing something with the other kings, whether that be them congratulating him or having polite conversation. Whatever it would be, his eyes would never leave your figure, following your movements with ease.

And when he's done entertaining them, he'd come straight to you.

At first, the other guests wouldn't know what to do. They'd want to talk to you, congratulate you on your wedding or catch up with you if they're your friends, however they'd be too frightened of Bowser's huge figure looming behind you like a protective boulder.

Only when Peach takes the initiative and walks up to the two of you does the rest of the crowd relax. She'd congratulate the two of you, politely bowing with a soft look in her eyes as she addresses you. The two of you would talk all whilst Bowser leans in defensively like he's daring the princess to do anything.

He'd want to be anywhere else than near Peach.

Yes, he wants to show you off to the princess, however he doesn't want you to think he still harbours any affections towards her. He doesn't. He only loves you, and he doesn't want you thinking any less of him for being this close to his past obsession.

It takes a while for him to ease into the conversation, keeping to single animalistic grunts and rumbles whenever Peach would try and converse with him.

When the Mario Brothers come up to the three of you - or two if you opted to leave Peach to ease Bowser's nerves - he'd tense.

His fists would clench in a silent way of controlling himself, though with how close you'd stand to him you'd be able to hear the rumble of flames bursting inside of his chest. It'd take a little while of you absentmindedly stroking his arm to relax him back down, but eventually he'd be able to stand still and simply enjoy being close to you, even with his enemies so close to him.

Overall, the evening would be beyond pleasant.

The two of you would dance together, Bowser absolutely taken by you. The two of you would eat the towering cake, feeding him some whilst completely disregarding the eyes of the guests. In general, you'd have a great time.

just rewatched pride and prejudice 1995 and i loved it, even more than before! here are some thoughts:

- the best thing about this adaptation is, to me, the performance of jennifer ehle as elizabeth. honestly, she nails everything about her character, in my opinion. from lizzy’s wit and sense of humor to her firm resolution in rejecting darcy the first time and dealing with lady catherine, while also displaying all her conflictimg emotions not only during the whole wickham affair, but also when she found herself longing for darcy’s good opinion (who knows why!). she was absolutely charming and one can’t help but root for her.

- this might be obvious, but i love how it is pretty much the same as the book! it’s very clear that having six episodes worth of screen time instead of two hours as you get in movies played in their favor.

- i love the bennets! i love seeing the sisters interact! i love seeing them in their daily lives and watching their dynamics. i also think they got almost all of the characterizations perfectly. lydia, kitty, mary and mrs. bennet were all on point! however i do feel like they toned down mr. bennet’s flaws and only focused on the funny/sarcastic side of his character. other than that, i liked him too :)

- i’ve seen many people who don’t like this mr. collins but honestly i really enjoyed him. he was ridiculous and absurd, and he annoyed the fuck out of everyone, which is accurate lol. i do wish they’d made him age appropriate bc... that man is not 25 lol. anyways, i actually thought this collins was more accurate than 2005!collins.

- oh, caroline, you sneaky thing! i have nothing to say about her, really. i think she was portrayed very accurately as well. and they included the hursts!

- mr. bingley was good too! love me some golden retriever energy

- and, of course, how could i not talk about colin firth as darcy! he was DISGUSTED to be around common gentry people. he looked like he’d rather hang himself from the ceiling than be in those goddamn social gatherings for one more minute. he was so displeased with everyone and clearly thought they were nothing but a pain in his ass, and i love that lol.

- but OH MY he’s a simp! he can’t stop staring at elizabeth for the life of him. istg he is so fascinated by her. that scene at rosings when lizzy is talking to colonel fitzwilliam and darcy just stared at them while she roasts the fuck out of him????? top tier

- one thing i adored about his performance was just how miserable he looks when she isn’t around! and mind you, this is DARCY we’re talking about.

I can't believe a day came where i had to click uninterested on posts about Jimin or Jungkook.

The algorithm works this way the more you interact with something the more posts about the same thing/person will show up more. istg. i am so filled with so many spicy headcanons nowadays. i am writing an arranged marriage aemond x mute concert pianist reader where the plot is similar to the film called the piano, starring holly hunter. she is also a bit of an unreliable narrator here e.g. thinking that aemond had lecherous intentions when he photographed her when he, in fact, has been in love with her for a long time.

the premise is that reader is forced to marry aemond by her father due to his greed. aemond, who noticed that reader has an attachment to her piano, promised to allow her access to her piano on one condition: that he has to take one nude photo of her at a time. gradually, their sessions became more and more intimate, with aemond taking photos of her completely in her throes of passion with him. this is part 1.

she was mute ever since she was a little girl. that was quite advantageous for men like her father, as well as aemond. men liked the fact that women had no voice. especially for someone who did not have a fair complexion, golden hair and blue eyes. but it did not mean that there was a cost. no man would ever want her. her father, who knew everything about this, decided to force her to marry aemond. after all, he was the richest man in the country, who could manage the household well enough. at least, it was not aegon, who was nothing more than a waste of the targaryen family name.

so. some background (aka My Headcanons):

- when Jack got a job at Fredbear's, he'd usually talk to Dave the most. this "talking" quickly escalated into them ""jokingly"" flirting and Jack venting about his problems.

- Jack was the first to notice Something Weird going on with Henry and Dave, but never directly asking about it (he would, however, ask Dave if he was alright).

- the day before her birthday, Henry would bring up the plot to kill Dee. Dave was heavily against this, for several reasons (she's Jack's sister, and they Both know how close those two are, they'd have nowhere to hide the body given the Other Two Dead Kids, Dave was feeling weird about this in general, etc). Henry just seemed to brush him off, worrying Dave.

- Dave debated warning Jack, but thought that Jack wouldn't believe him, so he didn't say anything.

- We All Know The Rest From There.

but, and here's the idea i had: What if Dave decided to try and warn Jack anyway?

- Dave, knowing that telling Jack at work that night was. a bad idea (Henry would also be there, after all), decided to go over to his house and tell him there.

- Jack is concerned (he doesn't see why Dave would just...lie about something like that, especially the night before Dee's party), but doesn't want to just. cancel the party. that might look suspicious to Henry, and Jack doesn't want Dave to get in trouble for this, so he asks Dave to keep an eye on her. Dave promises.

- Dee's party happens...and she doesn't die! Dave is practically a nervous wreck the whole day, both due to the weight of a young girl's life on his shoulders, and because this is the first time where he's really put his foot down with Henry, but he makes it through and sends her home with Jack.

- Henry Is Not Happy.

- Jack is distrusting of Henry, keeping his conversations with his boss as short as he can make them. Dave starts hanging around with Jack more, and goes over to his house (while also being surprised how Jack was managing shit so well despite having to work so many jobs at once and watch over his little sister at the same time).

- Henry tampers with the Fredbear suit in a way that Jack won't be able to easily detect, despite being a pretty decent technician, and then told him to perform in the suit instead of Henry himself. Jack doesn't trust that, but he kinda...needs this job, so he goes "Eh, sure. What's the worst that could happen?" Dave realizes that this scenario seems...suspiciously familiar to him, and just kinda goes "Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit-" the closest he's able to get to warning Jack about what's about to happen to him is him telling jack to be careful; those suits are dangerous, after all.

- Jack Gets Springlocked™

- stuff's kinda the same from there, with the obvious difference of Dee still being alive. Dave just kinda. moves in with jack and Dee. Peter decides "Well. At least Jack's happy. He has the weirdest taste in men though, istg-" Henry still experiments on Dave, but Dave catches on because Jack points out the stitches and scars left behind afterwards. you'd think that these dudes just chill until Henry dies, and in the meantime just try to free the souls of the kids Henry killed.

- well...not exactly. for one thing, Henry still killed Peter. and immediately got threatened by Dee, Jack, and Dave. because What The Fuck, Man.

- another young kid unfortunately ended up taking Dee's place as "#3." and yet another ended up being "#5."

- they were a pair of brothers. Michael and Andrew Brooks (characters from the Fnaf books. Michael Brooks was the Golden Freddy kid in the novel trilogy, and Andrew, who doesn't technically have a last name that i've heard of in the books, is the Vengeful Spirit in the Fazbear Frights books. i just decided to make them brothers because Why Not?)

- Michael, six years old, had been locked out during a party, and Henry had offered to show him a Back Way in. Andrew, only fourteen, had snuck in one night to find his brother.

Michael would become the Puppet, and Andrew would be a mix between Golden and Shadow Freddy.

- Henry doesn't end up dying until late 1987-early 1988. that's mostly because Mike, the rather forgiving kid he is, was simultaneously restraining both Blackjack and Andrew from murder. Michael wasn't able to do it forever, obviously.

- this means that Henry was still around at the time the first two games were happening. Dave kept his distance, Jack and Henry were nearly at each other's throats constantly, and Dee was busy trying to keep the souls of the dead kids happy.

- Jack, Dave, and Dee help the souls of the kids move on.

- due to still being...experimented on, Dave is still slightly unhinged. just not in a murder-y way. think more along the lines of Flipside Dave.

The first time you met Foolish, you were shy, hiding behind the ocean's rocks that made up your home. Defensive responses and being rather vague despite his friendly demeanor made you feel a small spark of guilt. Over time, you warmed up to him, realizing his intentions were genuine and he had no desire to harm you or your already fragile home.

The days where the two of you saw each other became more and more frequent. You would lightly tease him with a small zap to his shoulder about how he was making time to come and see you despite his building schedule. You watched his cheeks burn bright red, a spark of its own stirring in your chest.

You would be lying if you hadn't caught yourself thinking of the shark hybrid more often recently. How he could feel to hug, to kiss, to...and that's as far as you would let yourself get. And it seemed those feelings weren't as one-sided as you had once thought.

You felt a small jolt against your hand, tingles of electricity crackling across your palm. Your eyes widened, your gaze shooting up to meet emerald orbs. All emotional crises were set aside in that moment as you immediately blurt, "You're part electric eel too?!" You were bewildered; you knew Foolish was part totem of undying and part shark. Yet to find someone who was also hybrid of your species too, it was near unheard of.

The totem hybrid burst out laughing, his loud squeaks echoing in your ocean cavern. You blushed softly, hiding your face halfway beneath the water. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Foolish laughed, wiping tears from his eyes. "Come, come here, I'll show you why."

You swam after him as he led you back to the surface. He pulled himself out of the water and onto the sand. "Just watch," he instructed, standing a bit back from the water's edge. You shot him a slightly annoyed, yet confused look but did as he asked.

The golden skinned hybrid took a deep breath and you watched in bewilderment as the skies above you abruptly grew dark. Suddenly, lightening strikes and loud claps of thunder surrounded Foolish, like an onset storm. And just as quickly as it started, it was done, the hybrid before you flashing a sharp-toothed smile.

Your eyes were alight with curiosity, question after question flying out of your mouth. Foolish easily matched your pace, providing you answer after answer. It was only until the sun was setting that the two of you realized how late it had really gotten.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" you asked, a small twinge of sadness in your tone. The golden skinned man knelt at the water's edge, offering his pink out to you. You brought yours up, linking it with his and letting a bolt of electricity touch his pinky. Foolish let a jolt of his own run back down to meet you.

Ooooh Shinee world is a mess today and for once it's not taemints fault 🥲

An article about fans asking for a Taemin would tour and "shawols" in the quotes going "no shinee" "shinee first" "wait until Jinki comes back so shinee can have a world first"

Like, I too would love a Shinee world tour, I want all of them both solo and as a group to go everywhere(in particular where I am but I won't hold my breath) but that wasn't what it was about. It was fans of Taemin's solo music asking for a tour.

It baffles me cause you never see this kind of thing with the other members. No ot5 shawol will ever expect another member to put their work on hold but, when it comes to Taemin it's like some people can't stand to see him spread his wings.

People never expect Key to put his variety work second, or for Minho to not take acting job, shawols have actively gotten mad if they think Minho had to turn down acting stuff due to his schedule. All Taemin does is music. That is his thing but some fans just cannot seem to respect his career. And all the baby talking in the quotes "we love our cutsey wootsy little taeminnie *but*..."

It's getting really irritating. I used to think some of what taemints say is exaggerated and I still believe that a bit. People were getting angry that the Shinee account didn't post Taemin's hanteo artist of the year nomination and only posted Shinee's, but it makes sense to me. They don't want to split votes and a win for Shinee is a win for all of them. But at the same time some of the disrespect I've seen towards him from supposedly ot5 shawols has been eye-opening.

I dunno, this fandom has been a mess lately and it's only the 4th. 2024 is off the quite the start.

Lol, I sort of find it funny when it's not Taemin fans being the mess-makers. Like they are the worst-behaved, though I would say each solo fandom has their unique flavor. But, what you're highlighting is the biggest open secret in shawol-dom.

Like, shawols are for the most part chill. I've been around these parts for a long time, and a bad day in shinee world is miles and miles better than a bad day in BTS fandom and similar. There isn't violent language or a huge level of harassment. I just want to acknowledge that because the complaints I'll make next are from the privileged shinee world perspective where there is a higher behavior standard. That is the case, even when Taemin fans are being stupid. Like, not once did I see the Golden Disc Awards violently harassed.

So, the open secret: it's all yay Taemin until he gets too much attention. And you noticed it's still very much "our baby taemin" even tho man's been out there trying to fuck the stage for a decade, lol. I see these as two sides of the same coin. They want him in his place as perpetual baby to uwu over, and daring solo work is fine as long as it doesn't outshine everything.

I think with Key it's easier for people to compartmentalise because he's super super successful outside of SHINee when it comes to TV and sponsorships (istg he IS Olive Young, lol; his face was all over Seoul), but those things don't directly compete with SHINee's work. These are complementary endeavours. Key's solo work is now having its career high since Bad Love, and it's only growing, so this condescending solo situation may repeat itself. But, Key's also not the group's little baby. I can't see him being treated the same. The fandom's most egregious behavior towards him has always been rooted in stereotypes. I mean, look how quickly and comfortably people slotted him into this squabbling "marriage" dynamic with Minho. Their arguing is funny, despite how played up for the camera it can be, but I see a lot of "iykyk" weird posts about him and Minho. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked.

There is always going to be an element of competition when it comes to solo work. Onew's Circle just got named Billboard's #1 kpop album of 2023. Guilty didn't even make their best of list. Now, I think Guilty was overlooked but Onew deserved #1. It's an extraordinary album. Minho is cultivating this very sexy and mature solo repertoire. This competition will grow, but I think Taemin will always be the target of condescension, minimizing and infantilizing.

He's the perpetual baby who will be put in the obedient baby box. And those fans will be incised when/if Taemin gets to do something they find meaningful before SHINee, even if it's a clear matter of logistics. There is a definite attitude present, and you might notice there is a certain superiority fans have over his solo work. I've been in situations where people have quite literally said they think X member's solo concerts are better than Taemin's with their whole chests. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when it comes to him, people are wayyyyy to comfortable putting him down.

Anyway, it will always be a bigger "but not him" with Taemin because he was given solo first and has built this legacy of work and has a lot of influence within the industry. Stolid group fans take pride in that when it suits them, but want him to be sidelined when it interferes with their desires.

I want to talk about the Landgraabs I want to talk about Geoffrey and Nancy I want to talk about Geoffrey because I have Thoughts™ about them now.

Like how common word said they were an unlikeable family, the snobby rich corporate fam, how Nancy was a criminal and Geoffrey a secret agent, how they were said to be together doing shady business or Nancy was trickinhg or manipulating him, how they were destined to break apart, how their kid was unsufferable and karma awaited because they were shitty people and how I was on board with all of it and ready to break havoc.

But then Geoffrey is a dork and good and a loving dad and a family guy and a joyful lil golden retriever of a man who loves his family so I thought ok then Nancy will betray him and Malcom will be a lil shit-

But then the first days with them all Nancy wanted to do was talk with Geoffrey, be funny with him, friendly with him, flirty with him, it was all him him him and Geoffrey was constantly wanting to be with his family but sad bc his son was evil, and Malcom himself was both angry because his dad was good but also sad because his dad was sad because of him?? And how Nancy and Geoffrey are such opposites, they even like colours that are oposites in the spectrum yet are dressed in the other's favourite??

Then I leave them and when I come back Nancy switched jobs, abandoned the progress she had made as a criminal and was now painstakinly starting anew somewhere else and listen here is when I took that picture bc i forgot you could do that and wanted to try... And they were so cute so I said ok enough, they deserve a chance, they are getting a chance and istg they are the cutest lil shits and my mind is spínning backstories like no one's business.

But yeah tl;dr I went with the idea of drama, divorce, betrayal and disaster and ended up making them the most annoyingly cute and loving family in the whole goddamn game. And they are like 7 now because let me tell you those two are a menace (and i cant say no to them).

Were you named after anyone?

Technically I was named after a character from a film my parents loved. I’m glad i wasn’t named after a relative as per irish tradition, because the expectations that may subconsciously come from that would weigh too heavy

Do you have kids?

I am a teenager that still sleeps with a teddy and is intimidated by ovens. I hope that answers that question. 

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I think so, but a lot of the time it’s unintentional since I come from a long line of sarcasm enjoyers so i may insult people without realising because Tone.

What's the first thing you notice about people?

If this is in a literal sense, then probably their outfit because I feel like it conveys a lot about people’s interests, confidence level etc. If this is in a romantic context, probably the way they address people e.g. how polite they are, whether they have a sense of humour etc.

Eye colour?

Dark brown. I really like my eyes, though people always talk about brown eyed ppl’s eyes in the sun looking like golden honey or fragments of sunlight itself or smth but mine perpetually look like wet soil. 

Scary movies or happy endings?

I hate scary films icl. I’ve had scary films described to me and got nightmares from the thought of them alone. So yeah I don’t think they’re for me. I’d like to say I love happy endings, and I do, but something about sad or bittersweet endings are so immaculate. It’s usually those stories that stick with me and become all i think about for weeks on end as I become shrouded in this unshakeable sense of sadness or discomfort :]

Nah but I can do a decent Keira Knightley impression

I love reading sm. And writing is definitely my number one Thing, though I don’t do it nearly as much as I wish I did because Perfectionism. Also lately my days have been consumed with rewatching always sunny over and over again because i can’t enjoy things casually.

Have any pets?

One dog. I would die for him and I like to think he’d do the same for me but he doesn’t know wtf is going on most of the time. We’re bros though.

What sports do you play/ have played?

I don’t play sports anymore bcos of anxiety over being seen doing said sports by anyone but I like to work out. I used to do swimming, athletics and dance tho and they were fun
