I binged Lockwood & Co fully knowing it had been canceled after one season, but even so….netflix y u always cancelling the good shows? Sigh.
The leads were amazing and the writing is great! My favourite line: “let’s kick in the door like we’re really cool and know what we’re doing.”

WHY has it taken me this long to start watching Blue Eye Samurai? Dear GOD I love this.
Ringo is Best Boi but I do also really love Mizu as a protagonist.
(have watched the first three episodes thus far.)

The other day I was reading the original script for Night at the Museum: Escape from the Smithsonian.
(my housemate and I periodically pick a beloved childhood franchise to re-watch, and recently it was Night at the Museum's turn.)
Anyway when a film is about an established character's evil brother it becomes VERY NOTICEABLE when said character is barely in the film.
So yeah I read the script online and we were robbed of some truly iconic scenes of Dramatic Sibling Rivalry.

Avery is so right: a Just Dance season of background lore would be The Coolest!!!

Going through the Mentopolis tags: glad to see it's not only me who thinks there was Something (tm) between Mark Bition and The Fix.
I got vibes in episode 1, but after that things went downhill so quickly and we found out just how terrible Mark is, so there wasn't much of a chance to look for other hints.
Pasha N is much sweeter and better for Mr The Fix anyway. <3

First session of work D&D left one PC dead and the rest stabilised but unconscious.
So it could have gone better...but they all had fun somehow? XD (rip Hollow the dhampir warlock, we hardly knew ye.)

Made questionable choices in BG3 while running about the goblin camp (on my solo game, not my 'main' duo game with my partner.) Everyone died except Astarion (including Halsin, and including my Tav, Cranberry.)
Proof that it is always better to be able to run away really fast I guess (based rogues with that ability to dash twice in a turn!!)

E matemate ana tōku kuia.
My nan is dying.
I'm just waiting for that inevitable phone call.
The world was hard to process, the country's situation was hard to process, and now this is difficult to process too.
The Christmas card she gave me sits by the TV. She told me she would see me over Christmas (she won't.)
I picked her a beautiful Christmas card because I thought it might be our last Christmas spent together. She didn't get to see it, and she didn't get to see the video I left her (my aunt tried, but she was too out of it.)
I just don't know.
When you hear about someone passing after a long battle with cancer, you think about someone slowly wasting away over time.
My nan had good days and bad days. I saw her a month or so ago when she was well enough to do a trip around the region visiting people. In October, she was so full of life at my granddad's eightieth, although earlier that day she had been very tired and leaned on my dad for support.
Then in a matter of days it went from a few months, to a few weeks, to a few days to live.
My sister is with her and keeping me updated. My sister is so brave.

We do get forgotten fairly often! There's a whole subreddit dedicated to it. r/mapswithoutnz (currently private because of the protests.)
Notably, we're often missing in disaster movies. So they'll show a map of the world and all the nonsense going on and I'm like "oh cool, we're immune to this apocalypse!"

I think there would be less death in Kingdom Death if they wore clothes. Just saying.

Session 8 of our Strixhaven campaign today. Some ridiculous reveals. What a silly party. Let me share them with you!
(I'm the DM on this one, started after Trash Squad wrapped up.)
Jazzmodeus (he/him): from the guy who brought us a character inspired by Rob Zombie and his music, comes a character inspired by The Devil Came Down to Georgia. Jazz is a talented fiddle and saxophone player who won a (beautiful, but useless) golden fiddle by defeating a devil in a contest. The devil was demoted to an imp, and now follows Jazz around learning from him and plotting to one day retake his crown.
Brad McReynolds (he/him): a recently turned vampire jock studying at Strixhaven on a baseball scholarship. He is very nervous about meeting other vampires, as he fears they will laugh when they learn his extremely uncool backstory: he fell into an open grave when messing around with his friends, startling the vampiric occupant, who then bit him reflexively and fled.
John Blueberry (he/him): a pint-sized musician who fled his home with the aid of a strange creature named Kritzan. This session the party found out that John was forced to flee because he played an accordion so badly it killed the crown prince of his homeland.
Mackenzie Ironsong (she/her): a human blacksmith- she thinks? She might be part bird. There's a weird voice in her dreams and this one time she grew wings for some reason. Mackenzie usually serves as the Straight Man to the party's antics- but last session she did end up enchanting a potato to sound like it was crying and hiding in a bathroom stall for twenty minutes pretending she was comforting a friend.

My copy of Girl By Moonlight arrived. So in love with the art, and looking forward to reading through it all properly!!!
I got the alternate art version with the endpapers, and the little series quickstart booklets as well. My brother is very into the vibe of Edge of the Abyss, and we're currently playing a Blades in the Dark campaign, so maybe we can have a go at this too some time after.

Stayed up until almost 2am trying to complete that Mewtwo raid. Got so close!!!! But didn't win. So now instead of just being disappointed, I am disappointed AND tired!
I don't know how often they repeat raids, but I hope we get another chance at Mewtwo. Since I was a little kid watching the movie they have been one of my faves! I want to make them a sandwich and let them chill at a picnic. Child Thorn would approve!
No way was I buying that glitchy DLC when by all accounts it somehow runs even worse than ScarVi. But at least there are more Pokemon to collect in trades and raids since its release. So that's nice now I'm back playing this for a bit.
