So far I am really falling in love with the @stagermicrophones SR-2N ribbon microphone. I love the low end bloom that I get when I put it in front of drum kit. I love the sounds I am getting and the captures of my room. I tried a few different spots out and love it everywhere but I think I found where it really shines. I can't wait to try this out on my guitar cabs as well. This microphone has a very natural tone. It really captures a full spectrum with a pleasing mid-range. I hear defined lows and high-mids that are super smooth and silky in my room. Well done @stagermicrophones ! I see a great relationship with this microphone and my captures for many years to come. This drum kit setup is for my early '70s psychedelic finish jazz blue badge Ludwig drum kit. This is the only drum kit that I've ever owned and it is seen many years of great service. The 20-in kick is very punchy and sounds great and has a good attack. These photos are from the capture that I'm doing for my latest work to be released sometime soon. The working title right now is "Forgotten Sciences", and is really shaping up to be one of my most diverse releases yet. I'm getting very excited to share this with you all.
