-bar soaps(two i have recently purchased, regular Aleppo soap and Tobacco scented soap from Alchimia)-rediscovering them after being a long time user of just liquid soap&shower gel, yes it feels a lot more sustainable, less waste, they last longer, plus the wonderful feeling of holding a new bar of soap, its weight and volume....yeah
-Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion: i tried other lotions this year but i have to keep coming back to this one, it's so nourishing, easy to find, and always smells divine!
-Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil: it's so popular for a good reason
-Supermilk conditioning spray from Lush: your hair will smell sooo good
-gourmand scented incense: don't be scared of stronger scents, because the smell will linger in your place even the day after you've burned these...in my house it always does!
-domestic sewing machine: i finally got one this year and it's so comforting to be able to work on clothing at home as well! Plus a good skill to hone especially since my prediction senses tell me homemade clothing will be big soon enough, after we all get sick of fast fashion/trend cycles/insane vintage resell market/clothing fitting poorly etc
#i had to hold on till the last minute i did re-discover some good foodstuffs yesterday on 31st even!#anyway never did this before but now i finally feel grown enough for recs of the sorts

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser if I feel like it.
CeraVe Hydrating Cream (it's so RICH)
CeraVe 50SPF sunscreen (it makes even me kinda ghosty but it works)
PM:
Kose Cosmeport Softymo Deep Cleansing (DHC and Klairs have been used recently but I'm not sure which one I like most)
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (phasing out Purity face wash, it was too stripping, this cleanser cleans it off but it doesn't feel like I've done too much)
Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Toning Lotion. I think this does something? It's more anti-aging stuff I am in denial about. But it doesn't break me out and I only spent $25 on it so whatever. It doesn't have a strong scent and absorbs quickly. Don't judge me, 90% of my routine is drug store stuff.
My one and only Holy Grail, Pond's Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream. I keep saying it's not for anti-aging reasons but it's a gentle chemical exfoliator and is hydrating. You can pry it from my cold dead hands. I use this mostly on my forehead, cheeks, and part of my neck
Curology (.25% Zinc Pyrithione, 1% Clyndamycin, 4% Niacimide). Antifungal, anti-bacterial/anti-inflammatory, helps with hyperpigmentation and find lines, respectively. Another splurge, but helps.
Differen gel, but only for my hormonal acne spots on my jaw and sparingly. I tend to get big suckers with smaller satellite bumps. It's only been a week but it feels like they're coming to heads and healing faster?
CeraVe Hydrating Cream. It's Vaseline but with more stuff in it.
Not part of the routine but useful :
COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches. Or whatever hydrocolloid bandage you like. Sometimes you just need to pop a pimple because it's either going to pop on someone or it just fucking hurts. I know you aren't supposed to but I think if you do it right and use these suckers, they help minimize scarring. I try and pop mine after showers or something so my skin is soft and hands are clean. If you do it right they'll just...do it themselves. Anyway, do your routine after, but clear the spot around it from product. Slap one on and it'll keep it moist and clean and it'll disappear in no time. Same logic applies to regular cuts and scrapes, I discovered Bandaid SkinFlex bandages after surgery and they are AMAZING. You can also buy hydrocolloid bandages and cut them to size or use disinfected hole punchers.
Since my PCOS diagnosis, subsequent surgery, and now new BC meds, I've been on a bit of a roller coaster in terms of hormones so the hormonal acne is a problem but I think I have it mostly wrangled. I get my eyebrows and lip/chin waxed on the reg because I can.

US SEES INCREASED SUPPORT FOR RAISING THE MINIMUM WAGE
Molly Kinder observes that even in a divided America, support for raising the minimum wage has increased. Since 2009, the federal minimum wage has remained at $7.25 an hour, she writes, but the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the need to raise the wages of frontline essential workers. The chart shows a surge in support for a higher minimum wage among Democrats, Republicans, and independents between February and August. Overall, more than 70 percent of respondents supported raising the minimum wage. “Even before COVID-19, most Americans agreed that low-wage workers deserved to earn wages that meet their basic needs,” Kinder writes. “As infections soar once again, raising the wages of essential workers who are risking their lives—and their families’ lives—has grown even more urgent.”

Asamoah Gyan never liked the idea of ‘General Captain’ – Anim Addo reveals

Gyan was made General Captain by former coach Kwasi Appiah prior to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt. Andre Ayew was confirmed as substantive captain. However, Akonnor last weekend made changes to the leadership of the team, with the Gyan’s position non-existent anymore. Akonnor maintained Ayew as captain, with Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Richard Ofori assisting the Swansea star. “Asamoah Gyan has held successful meetings with the Black Stars Management Committee. The Asamoah Gyan camp has never liked the idea of the ‘General Captain’. There was no way he was going the wear the armband when he isn’t the captain anymore. Due to his love for Ghana, he returned to play for the team on the request of the President and other top officials even when he announced his retirement,” Anim Addo informed Nhyira FM. According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, the 34-year-old considers himself as a mentor for the young players coming into the national team and not in a hurry to call it quit from the national team. “Gyan believes he is a role model for most of the players and regardless of his role in the national team. At any point in time, he is willing to give his brotherly support to any leader present and is only interested in serving Ghana in any capacity.
