─ ✰ THOMA is absolute malewife material, no questions asked. sometimes, if he’s not busy in the mornings, he’ll surprise you with breakfast in bed without a special occasion. he’ll peck your cheek and give you a soft ‘good morning’ as to not break the sleepy trance you’re in, carefully placing the tray onto the nearest nightstand. whenever he’s around, he does all your chores too, from washing the dishes, to dusting the house and sweeping the floors. you wom’t even have to lift a finger, he goes as far to make lunch too! since he’s not home by then, usually somewhere in the kamisato estate, he leaves handwritten sticky notes on each lunch box he gives you. he fills them with messages like, “the perfume you wore smells good today!” “your smile is blinding, my ray of sunshine” or “you’re gorgeous always, my lovely.” never once is a message repeated, he believes someone as special as you deserves to hear something unique each day. he even goes as far to make your food cute! he’s made panda shaped onigiri’s, cat-like dango’s… all because you asked him once, it’s become a tradition now.

─ ✰ AYATO never leaves you bored when he goes to one of his meetings. his maids set up a spa day, complete with a makeover and evening gown to go with it, but it’s just not the same without your husband :( thankfully, being the significant other of the head of the yashiro commission has its own perks. for instance, you can walk around like you own the place and join in on in his meetings, albeit later you might get punished by ayato for interrupting, but really, he doesn’t mind. seated on his lap, you play with his fingers and let out a quiet huff. why did you think this was a good idea again? what they’re talking about is so boring, you’re beginning to regret your desicion to join ayato, wishing to be soaking in the tub with a face mask again. thankfully, shortly after, he cuts the conference short, apologizing and telling them he has more pressing matters to attend to. you lead him straight home holding his hand, giddy that he’ll join another one of your salon days. he makes sure to pamper you, giving you a massage and washing your hair for you, praising you for being so patient, even if you were the reason the meeting ended early.

─ ✰ AL-HAITHAM, i headcanon, thinks he’s being subtle with putting up with your shenanigans, but he couldn’t be farther off. he might seem indifferent on the outside, but he cares much more than you might think. can’t sleep? just wake him up at 3am, he’ll wrap you in a blanket burrito and read to you until you fall asleep! just got your nails done? he’ll carry all of your books, what else would he need his giant man boobs muscles for? he revolves around you, as if you are the sun and he the earth. and god forbid if you’re ever mad at him, his whole life comes tumbling down. although if you can’t see it in his facial expression, all of his rationality goes flying out the window. he’s snappier than usual, getting annoyed at the littlest of inconveniences. even if you’re in the wrong, he’ll still apologize first, he just wants you to start talking to him again 😢 if you have conditions to making up, he follows them all to the tee. give you one kiss for every hour he’s made you upset? done. buy you the newest line of makeup or skincare? absolutely. cook dinner for the next two weeks? he already does that.

albedo, the one you always look for in the crowd. he was never a student who got all the attention, but there’s a few times when he’s called up on stage because he won a place in the art contests held. in the canteen, during the flag ceremony, or even when school ends, your eyes would always be looking for his figure in the ocean of students that would be flooding the school grounds. 

lyney, the flirtatious one who never seems to give up. this guy is dead set on flattering you. from pulling up some simple tricks from his sleeves (literally because he managed to pull a bouquet out of his sleeves once and you still don’t know how that worked) to smoothly slipping flattering words into a normal conversation you two would have. he just doesn’t know when to give up! but when you finally give him a taste of his own medicine, he’s the one stuttering with red ears.

wriothesley, the varsity player that you didn’t expect to fall for. he was out of your league, in your opinion. wriothesley had his popularity, and it was certainly deserved because of his talent, smarts, and looks. but it doesn’t matter if the majority of the school’s population fawns over him. after all, at the end of the day, he still comes home to you.

kazuha, the poet whose hands are never tired of writing for and about you. it started with him slipping some simple anonymous notes that wished you good luck for the day and that you shouldn’t forget to eat your meals. it was a sweet gesture, especially when you had a rough day. but it soon turned into poems about the things he noticed about you, like how he admires the way your eyes would sparkle in joy when you see a stray cat around campus or how he admires your loving personality, which makes him fall even harder. kazuha would never get tired of this. after all, it is you who he is writing for anyway.

neuvillette, the student council member that you couldn’t help but like. he had everything! the leadership skills, the smarts, the talents, the personality, and god, don’t even start with his looks. he was way out of your league with that! but admiring from afar simply wouldn’t hurt, right? not that much attachment, just him being a source of motivation for you to get up and go to school.

childe, the class clown who never fails to make you smile. but even if he’s typically known with the title "class clown", there is a different reason as to why he makes you smile. he’s good at reading the room and can easily detect if someone is feeling down; hell, he even makes the effort of being inclusive to everyone and making sure that they’re not feeling left out. and that’s just a really nice thing to notice. of course, it’s no surprise that childe would notice that you’ve been having a bad day as well. from passing on stupid, silly notes to cheer you up to lending his ear to listen, he’d break his back just to make you break a smile.

xiao, the one who would always wake you up. no matter the time or place, he’d always find you sleeping. and he secretly keeps you company if you’re alone. oh, you accidentally slept in the library while studying? don’t worry; xiao already took the chair next to you and decided to work there. but as the time ticks on the clock, the library has to close now, so he wakes you up. it was always the same, but you never knew who would wake you up in the end.

thoma, the guy who gets along with everyone (especially with you). one could probably misinterpret his actions as romantic because he’s just… really nice to everyone. not that it’s a bad thing; it’s sweet, really. but you can’t help but overthink if his actions have meanings. from him waiting for you at your locker, you and him playfully nudging and joking around each other without even noticing that there are others around the two of you, and his words probably have some implication—it’s complicated. it’s like, you’re friends, but you’re also not sure if your feelings for him are reciprocated.

Seeing your latest post on Kaveh pushed me to share this brainrot I've been having over the last couple of days about another lovely pyro man, Thoma.

Imagine if you are Thoma's spouse and you get along with Taroumaru. He is always excited to see you because you give him treats and headpats whenever you visit. He recognizes you as important to Thoma.

Imagine Taroumaru with you when you are pregnant. He would just become so protective and never leave your side. When you are sitting down, he would sit next to you, near your belly. Imagine if you have to go out to town alone, he would definitely be stopping you from leaving the premises. He just wants to be with you, to protect you and your unborn child.

And once the baby arrives, Taroumaru would be over the moon. He would be jumping to see the baby in yours or Thoma's arms. He would never leave that baby's side.

Long before you and Thoma got married the owner of the Komore Teahouse was aware of your existence. Moreso, the Shiba Inu loved when you came over - alone or with your sunshine lover, always greeting you with a bark and a wiggle of his curled tail.

Though the first few times Thoma brought you to the Teahouse for dates, the dog seemed to watch you closely, you could clearly see the guarded stance of him and the way his nose was twitching as you were passing by with your hand clasped in the blonde’s bigger one. You also noticed how the male talked to the almost humanly dressed animal - like he was a human too. Which you quickly realized wasn’t so far from the truth.

Taroumaru is very intelligent. And sensitive. It took him little time to realize the importance of you, the kindness of your expressions, the softness of your words, the sparkling in your eyes whenever you were with Kamisato Clan’s housekeeper. You also treated the Shiba Inu well - greeted him with respect upon arriving, bringing him treats he liked, smiling and speaking to him as if he could answer you back.

And Taroumaru liked it. He liked you.

The only thing you were very hesitant to do was to pet him. He overheard how you told Thoma that you were afraid it’d offend the esteemed owner and you didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. So the dog took it upon himself to jump off the counter and walk to where you and your lover were enjoying your tea and the sweets, gazing at each other lovingly. Until you felt the nudging of your elbow and looked to the side to see Taroumaru bumping his head against your arm, demanding something from you. Softly chuckling at your confused look, Thoma explained that the dog was pretty much asking for headpats. When your expression turned stunned, your boyfriend moved to your side and took your hand to carefully place it on top of a fur-coated head, letting your fingers sink a little in the sand-colored softness.

That day you not only got closer to Taroumaru, but it seemed that to Thoma as well.

From that moment the bond between you and the dog was unbreakable. It was not a surprise when you delivered a proper invitation for him to your wedding, resulting in a rare show of pure dog-like emotions, as the Shiba Inu practically jumped on you and Thoma, licking your faces and wiggling his tail madly, fueling both of your feelings even more. I mean, you would feel this way when someone like Taroumaru is so excited for you and your union.

By the way, it was him, who brought the rings to an almost wedded couple after the vows were spoken, sitting there in front of you, watching the golden bands be slipped on each other’s fingers and the kiss seal the deal.

Before and after your wedding your visits to the Komore Teahouse were steady - maybe like twice a week, depending on your boyfriend’s - now husband’s - free time. However, when you got pregnant - and the dog very early knew you did - you would come almost every day. 

Usually Taroumaru stayed on the counter all day long, rarely leaving it to sit with someone, even if it was you and Thoma. With your pregnancy everything changed - he was glued to your side from the moment you entered the establishment. He’d lay his head on your thighs, letting you pet him, he’d personally be bringing you more tea or treats - whatever you desire, he’d gently poke your belly with his nose - seeing his surprised reaction when something poked him back during the later months was so funny.

But also he became very overprotective. Oftentime he would bite on the hem of your dress and tug to make you stay when you try to leave - having little desire to let you go without your husband coming to bring you home. It always took a lot of time to convince your furry friend that you'd be fine and there were always people of the Yashiro Comission in town with an order from none other than the Kamisato Ayato to assist his housekeeper’s lovely wife whenever he was unable.

Still, he would exit the Teahouse with you, and stand outside for as long as he can see and hear you. Only after losing sight of you would the Shiba Inu return inside.

When you were not visiting for two months - Taroumaru got very worried, even his employees noticed it. They would write Thoma letters, asking, if you are alright, what should they tell their master to ease his mind. In return your husband assured them that everything was perfect and that soon the two of you would visit with a little surprise, to which the dog could do the only thing - wait.

And Archons was the wait worth it. When a windbell chimed and the pair of yours appeared at the entrance, Taroumaru leaped. Only to be caught by Thoma, hoisted up and in his arms, unable to escape and reach you. 

Soon he understood why the precaution was taken - in his state of joy the dog did not notice the bundle in your arms. Upon closer inspection his ears perked - the smell was familiar. Prodding the blankets with his nose, he sniffled and explored, still tightly held in your husband’s arms, which, honestly, looked really cute.

When a tiny hand bumped against the nose, the dog experienced the greatest deja vu, finally realizing what was going on - your baby was here.

Taroumaru would be enamored with your little daughter - the third important human of your family. I bet that it’s in his power to train another Shiba Inu to become the girl’s protector - but also a great pet companion. It saddens him that he can’t see the three of you every day, but knowing there is someone 24/7 by your side to protect you is more than enough for him.

Well… Maybe when his retirement comes you’ll be willing to accept him in your house. Yes, that’s a nice thing to wait for in the future.

Whattup people who read my Batman posts! Brainrot's still rotting, I just had junk to do, so I didn't draw for a while! Anyhoodle, time for another character, Duke Thomas, a.k.a The Signal (and also Robin depending on how you're counting it!)

You know the drill by now, initial trace with my lazy backdrop! I liked drawing Duke, but BOY HOWDY HEY, he was hard. Like, I'm just gonna come out and say it, I am BAD at drawing armor and buildings and machines and anything non-organic. Which means Signal is probably one of the hardest costumes to get right. This was just the trace, so it wasn't too bad, but trying to understand how his costume worked was quite the game for this whole process. I will say, he's got one of my favorite color schemes out of any of the Batfamily. The light dark contrast works really well in a way that is only seen elsewhere on the Robin cape, and the fact that this is actually the Signal's whole costume makes it feel more cohesive and effective than that. And, you know, it's also really cool thematically, considering light is kinda Duke's whole thing.

Freehanded drawing with referenced trace! This was a ROUGH time. I had to redraw Duke three separate times before I got a result I was satisfied with.

So, remember how I said that I struggled to understand how his costume actually works? Yeah, that's because I have a decent grasp how armor is actually supposed to work, and this ain't it fellas. Like, not knocking the design, it looks cool and is certainly easier to draw once you get the hang of it, but it makes less intuitive sense to me. What is happening on his neck? Is that like pure metal molded to his skin or something? That's not how physics work. Why are his pauldrons not actually covering his shoulders, and also where and how exactly are the attached to anything? It was confusing, but definitely a good exercise for me.

Again, the stuff they did was actually pretty smart, since it's comic books and they don't have to move realistically, and this makes it easier to pose his head, chest, and shoulders. It was just difficult for me to wrap my head around. Ignoring all the physics defying stuff,

Signal probably has one of the smartest/most practical costumes of the Batfam too. For one, he actually has a helmet and protects his head. Two, he has armored all of his vital organs like his lungs and heart and stuff. Three, he doesn't have a cape, which means he can't be grabbed or snagged as easily, and doesn't have to fight working around that. This is sad for me though, because I love drawing capes : (

Pose for characterization. I'mma be straight with ya'll, I don't know much about Duke. Like, I've read all of the We Are Robin/Robin Wars comics, but that doesn't actually give me much of a handle on Duke as a person, or how he behaves because it has to split the focus between so many protagonists, and also because there's a bunch of other stuff happening, so Duke doesn't get as much focus as you'd suspect. I haven't read anything else where he appears (except for Wayne Family Adventures, but I don't think that counts).

The general vibe I got from We Are Robin and from other comic readers is that Duke is probably the most approachable member of the Batfamily. He wasn't raised as an assassin from birth, he hasn't been Robin since he was like 9, he didn't die and come back to life---his life experience, while far from normal, is still much closer to the average human being, so he can relate and react better. (The only other member who really gets close is Steph, but she's been around longer and has had time to get into more whacky life or death scenarios, so she's a bit nuttier. Duke'll get there in time, I'm sure).

I tried to convey this approachability by giving him an open expression and more relaxed body language, even though he is a pretty mistrusting and high strung person. Comes with the territory of being a vigilante I guess.

As always, the text for his hero name is traced off a comics cover. To indicate the duality of Duke being both a pretty chill kid and also absolutely insane, I felt the need to put his civilian name in two fonts. I also tried to make his civvies call back to his We Are Robin uniform without being an exact one to one. I'm positive that Duke'll take any excuse to wear Robin colors, even after the ban was lifted, just because it pisses off the cops.

His smile goes wide when you're all over him for it. Hell, he might even buy some crop tops to show it off more. He's early in his transition, but it doesn't bother him at all. Stu faces his insecurities head on, embracing them to the fullest to get over it.

- Though he's careful when binding, he has a tendency to forget how long he's been wearing his binder. But that's what you're for: to remind him to take breaks and gently massage his sides if it got too much

- Non-Binary! Vincent Sinclair who constantly experiments with their appearance. Vincent who plays with the androgyny of their appearance. No one knows who or what they are with their variety of masks and they love it. One day, it would be the cast of Bo's face, while the next day they might wear a mask that resembles a rosy cheeked cherub. They love baggy clothes, they want to resemble nothing and everything at the same time. Their creativity extends past the wax figures and shines through their gender expression.

Hi everyone, and Merry Christmas from 2024 if you're reading from the future. After the joy of writing my long post earlier today, I thought it best to make a little (read: extremely long) pinned post to introduce myself and what I shall be pulling from in regards to any future lengthy TTTE/RWS posts.

The Long-Winded Preface.

Before getting into the swing of things, I would like to thank some users. Some are friends, and some for now are strangers.

I would like to thank my dear friends Andrew and Ryan for their support and enthusiasm when sharing my thoughts in smaller spaces and for helping give me the confidence to unleash my thoughts into the wild.

I would also like to shout out another dear friend in Mike as well as many other skilled fellow fandome members such as @demonofnowhere , DDandT6, @joezworld @mean-scarlet-deceiver along with many more fic/headcanon writers here and on AO3 for sparking my desire to explore my own interpretation of the 'verse in the first place.

Below the cut, I will be introducing myself personally as well as my diving into my (admittedly early and subject to change) interpretation of the TTTE/RWS Universe.

The Boring Personal History Lesson.

I'm Killy, common username: PapaJape, I'm a member of "The Fandome" (I will never call it anything else, thanks for the brainrot Mayoorhan), who's been active since 2014. In my time I have gone under a few names on places like BlueSky, DA, SiF and the old TTTE Wiki Chat. You may already know me from time spent as PapaKilly, KillyJapes, KnapfordTerminus, SpecialCoalMaster99 and NorthwesternE2. My primary forté is Trainz, where I enjoy taking pretty screenshots and producing the very occasional video.

I am a former moderator on the late Sodor Workshops Discord Server (may it never return) and a member of the "marketing team" for the site, that while not disbanded, it has been about as active as the site itself in the last couple years, which is to say, not at all.

After a long time, a recent diagnosis of adult AuHD and the ongoing exploration of treatment thereupon, I have found my love for this universe reignited, the enthusiasm led me to discovering (and reading alot of) works by the users mentioned above and many others besides, which led to this post and (hopefully) beyond.

Since 2020, my interest in work inspired by the RWS waned heavily, my main interaction being the support of my friends such as: CarsonsVideoWorkshops (Watch The Jury it's very good), AuldLangSyne, TardisRescue and Rydyronen. Aside from these, there was only the occasional wade-in when other friends made content for trainz or when moots shared interesting train related projects.

It's my Sandbox, and I Pick The Toys.

So, vehicle things at last. In most instances, I will be using the lore provided by The Island of Sodor: It's People, History and Railways and Wilbert's letters, layouts and lectures as my main base of operations, from there I will be frankenstien-ing on bits and pieces that I find interesting and some that bring me joy and/or amusement. All versions of the TV series, spinoffs, and even fanworks (with proper credit, respect and right to request removal to the authors) shall be subject to the plucking of bits I like.

I am a Doctor Who fan, the sorting, accepting and vetoing of mountains full of contradictory lore is a way of life. It will not be much different here.

In future posts things shall be refined into a more discernable (yet even more complicated) shape but in short:

Almost every official story and character exists in some form in OMM with some tributes to my most treasured unofficial stories, concepts and characters likely to sneak their way in as time goes by.

I have a vision and that vision is thus

So once a year, on the anniversary of their death, Harry summons their loved ones - Bruce's parents, his parents and Dick's parents.

They all come back wearing what they died in, untarnished, but after the first time, realizing they have 24 hours, they either keep clothes sized to them at their respective son's house or they borrow.

(also they wear whatever they like in the afterlife but that doesn't transfer to the living world unless they become full ghosts)

Thomas borrows Bruce's clothes - turtlenecks, tshirts, slacks - and is low key delighted that Bruce's clothes are big on him. Also uses it to check if Bruce is eating right. Aside from that he wears his old clothes Alfred kept.

Martha borrows from everyone. Leggings from Harry or Harper or Cass. A shirt from Bruce or Dick or Jason or Tom or Damian (once he's big enough) or one of Harry's flannel shirts. Steals socks from Tim or Terry or Conner and grabs accessories from Cullen and lets Lilith play in her hair. She just likes wearing things from her family okay?

Mary wears Nightwing or Robin merch Dick has bought in her size. She still steals Dicks jackets though and occasionally Tom's bootleg Hogwarts Alum hoodies. Is really fond of charm necklaces and bangle bracelets that she can wear now since she isn't a performer anymore. You can always find her because she makes noise with every step.

John is pretty chill with wearing whatever so he just borrows clothes from Dick's closet but tries to find the most brainrot thing in Dick's closet to wear to try and embarrass Dick (it never works). Prefers hoodies but will wear a crop top and shorts to Mary's obvious delight.

Lily is similar to Martha where she borrows clothes from the kids or her son in law but 9 out of 10 she is wearing a band t shirt (this is usually Bruce's but occasionally Jason), a flannel shirt around her hips (Harry's but sometimes Harper), a pair of ripped jeans Tim got for her and some converse (bought by Cullen). Simple girl with simple tastes. Sometimes she convinces Harry to turn his hair red and they go as siblings around Gotham.

James usually wears whoever clothes fit him so usually Tim, Cass, Cullen, Harry and funnily, Conner. So he's all over the place in terms of style. Sometimes he's wearing jeans and dress shoes and sometimes he's wearing a floofy yellow dress with a leather jacket and trainers. His personal style is closer to Conner's but he's pretty cool about wearing anything because, direct quote "I look pretty in everything".

(Bonus: When Harry can finally summon Sirius, he wears mostly Conner's clothes even though they are way too big on him much to Conner's delight)

(Bonus Bonus: Harry can only summon Kal's parents once every few years since Krypton time and Earth time syncs like that. When summoned, they stay for a week and Kal's mother wears either Lois' clothes or Ma Kent's overalls. No in-between with her. Kal's dad wears Clark's clothes, usually his casual wear because it feels nice.)

But they're not perfect, Thomas is an ass to people in general and Angelica would dying before admitting she's wrong about something.

In Paris, they keep "break up" but stay in contact, sometimes "fucking" help to not think about their miserable life. And they find in each other a listening ear and an honest word.

Imagine Angelica tell Thomas about his "sacrifice" for his sister, imagine Thomas telling her that she is stupid to believe that she does not have the right to happiness either.

Imagine Angelica tell Thomas "he cant understand", she's right he can't understand that, but he keeps hugging her when she cries, she can confess to him that she would have liked to be more selfish like him.

He would say to her that that he admires her love, and Angelica would think he's just trying to flatter her. But yes, she's too good for him.

it wasn't until i got this ask that i realised oh shit i have. a lot of ocs,,,

ANYWAYS,,, i've decided i will now talk about my ocs ethos, pathos and logos :3 putting it under a read more bc. I like to ramble haha,,,

little backstory time: these three are actually one of my oldest ocs dating from.... late 2017 I think? I remember it was during my Sanders Sides brainrot era (it's a youtube series by thomas sanders that is very good i def recommend it), i was watching on the behind the scenes videos and they mentioned Ethos, Pathos and Logos and i thought "oh that sounds neat" and looked up and then boom. ocs where made...god they were sooo different back then, my oc lore has gone through many changes XD

oh here are the name meanings btw (taken of this site bc i am terrible at describing things lmao)

My human drawing skills has gotten better since I made this but the designs stay roughly the same so here they are!!

for slight context: they are fairies (not the typical kind you see in fantasy though), they come in all sorts of colours (passed down genetically and each of them have special abilities they get from around 6 or 7 years old, kinda similar to MHA's quirks in a way (I made this up before i got into mha btw), it starts to develop for them at the age of 4, where a symbol shows up on their bodies, when a fairy gets older they'll learn the ability to hide this symbol if they so wish (otherwise it's shown through clothing, though this act is not the most common). And yes they do have things but are generally pretty tiny (but powerful enough to let them fly for a decent for time), there are some who have larger pair of wings (this is. a whole other can of worms relating to the in universe magic that i won't go into too much details here haha), but short wings double wings are the norm (nobody has a set of 4 of wings, just 2, there is an exception but again is another can of worms haha).

uhh that's about it i think? there's some random slightly unrelated stuff like they can summon a shield or bladed weapon via their symbols (developed in the same sense as their magic, but comes along later when they are like 15 or so). also they can glow in the dark ig (except for fairies with darker colours, like black or dark grey, but these coloured fairies aren't the most common.)

They're able to cover their whole body with a pretty tough metal to protect themselves, sometimes spikes will come out (they cannot control this.), also they coincidentally have a circular shield they can summon and grow at will.

OOPS I DID NOT MEAN TO GO OFF ON THAT LMAO ANYWAYS ACTUAL OC TALK TIME DFGHDJD

I'll start with Ethos first: Ethos is non-binary, aroace and 20 years old (at the time of their first appearance). they live in an apartment in what i can only describe as the fairy version of england with their childhood best friend Pathos (who i will get to in a min).

Ethos is currently studying to become a defence lawyer. They're generally a pacifist and try not to take sides (ironic i know, it was Pathos who encouraged them to go for it), that being said they can be sassy if allowed- generally it's when they're at home with Pathos or their qpp (they don't have a name and design yet but i'm working on it). Ethos and Pathos have known each other since they were kids, and Pathos was the first person Ethos came out as non-binary too, and in general Pathos is kind of like a brother to them.

Next up is Pathos my silly little guy!!! Pathos is cis male, pan, and also 20 years old. As mentioned previously, he and Ethos are roommates and childhood best friends so i won't get too much into it. oh also he has undiagnosed adhd.

Pathos is,,, a special case in terms of magic abilities, they were born with a unnaturally large amount of excess magic (which is. another can of worms. hm.), without going into too much detail. by normal means Pathos has empathic abilities, when they turn it on it shows up as different colours depending on the emotions, he's able to sense it similarly even with his eyes close so he can use it as a second pair of eyes if he wants to. With enough concertation he can extend the area he's able to detect emotions, but he tries not to that too much because it can be overwhelming for him (or at worse it will turn into full on telepathy he has no control over).

If someone's emotion is strong enough it will show up as a glow around that person for Pathos, it can overwhelm Pathos if he actually activates his ability. The excess magic generally comes into play when he feels too strongly, his colours will change and he will gain another ability (ei; anger will make him turn red, and will gain pyrokinetic abilities. the angrier he gets the more monster like his body also gets, generally he gets fangs, a devil tail and smoke will come out of his mouth, but over time his hands/feet will turn into claws, his fangs n horns will grow, his body heat will grow hotter and the smoke will become more intense. that's definitely an extreme case, a more lighter one would be turning yellow when he's overjoyed/excited and gets a pleasant warm aura around him).

Pathos has a bladed weapon he can summon, but i haven't decided on what yet (it hasn't really come up in my stories yet), Pathos is a strong fighter, has been trained in martial arts since he was 11 to defend Ethos and other classmates from some bullies (fairies are generally very accepting and kind but it takes some time for some young kids to learn these things).

Pathos, when he's not doing martial arts, studies animal care- his class each have assigned animals they care for on the side based on their abilities. Pathos cares for a mother earth dragon and her 3 young ones, Dragons in this universe are heavily sensitive to emotions of others so generally Pathos' abilities comes in handy. Dragons in protective care in this planet and it is considered illegal to hunt them- this doesn't stop poachers from other planets to sneak in (pathos has managed to stop them a numerous amount of times,). Pathos is also unnaturally talented at flight despite his average sized small wings (doctors believe it may be due to the excess magic he has)

oh fuck i have no talked about his personality yet damn uhhh. Pathos is super friendly and all over the place, a big lover of food/baked goods, and is very good at making friends. Being an empath he's very quick to pick up emotions of others and if they are uncomfortable or not, which makes me a pretty easy guy to go to for a lot of fairies who know him. A huge lover of hoodies and sometimes gifts close friends hoodies, also he has a pet pigeon named "Buddy" whomst he loves very much.

LASTLY WE HAVE LOGOS,,, god I have rambled so much lmao,,,

Logos! She's not actually fairy, and more so an android made to look like one. Her body is genderless but her AI is set to female so she uses she/her pronouns. Logos was created to assist the queen of what i will for now be calling faeland (basically fairy england,,, fairy uk,, the planet is a lot like earth in many ways), originally she was grey with no ounce of emotions but the queen thought that was sad so she used her magic (not fae magic, sorry this is another can of worms) to give her the ability to feel. Logos' "brain" is connected wirelessly to a large internet archive holder owned by another oc that is connect to a lot of places- due to this she has access to an enormous amount of information (fun fact: originally she was all knowing but this concept became to confusing to me so i changed it. this might not make that much sense either in terms of logic but i wrote this bit when i was like 17 i think so uh. shoosh ig.) to which she uses in a large variety of ways.

Her look as seen from above is her more casual look, the hoodie was a gift from Pathos, she uses in day to day activities- including detective/police work, being an informant for the queen, assisting the queen in her tasks in general. However some may know her as the one-man-army knight general of the queen, she can shift to a more knight like look when she fights, there are plenty of soldiers around but Logos could probably hand a large amount of enemies by herself.

Speaking of fighting! As she is not actual fairy she is not born with magic or a weapon- instead she has a katana stored in her body symbol that glows to give off the effect of a regular fairy summoning a weapon. After the queen fused some magic in her body, she has been able to let out electricity from her body (she does this only in dire situations, but at most she might use it to taze someone if needed), her symbol also oddly shows up through her clothing but works the same way as before.

Personality wise, Logos is somewhat stoic and logical, but is perfectly able to read the room. Her eyes will change colour if she feels something strongly (it is a magic user thing), but it doesn't happen often. Generally speaking Logos is one of the few emotionally stable characters I have. When Logos is with Pathos she often ends up become his babysitter or having to stop him acting on impulse, she also becomes a grounding presence for him as she learns more about him and helps him through some of his mental health issues when they come up. Logos come off as cold but she's decently friendly and kind hearted, she just has a resting serious face.

okay okay okay

so today is the 37th anniversary of the howard the duck movie!! it's like.. a lot-

it's a really weird movie for sure I guess i should list the pros and cons. let's start with the cons so we end on a positive note :

-it's really not a faithful adaptation. like the writers straight up pretty much admitted they don't understand the source material which is veeeeery questionable

-the movie just can't decide what age it's for. like it tries to be a kid's movie but there are too many weird sexual references for it (i guess nothing too blatant just duck boobs for a few seconds, Howard's weird duck condom, that infamous scene that ultimately never went beyond kissing and well okay the worst one is probably that weird bathhouse scene. i legitimately don't understand why that even exists.)

-the weird genre switch. it's SO out of nowhere and it's just.. a really jarring transition. one second you're watching a romcon about a duck and singer and the other second you're in a high stakes sci fi and you get basically no time to adjust you just have to accept it

-phil blumburt tends to be the most annoying man sometimes. and then sometimes he's just a funny guy. they can't decide i guess.

-THE FUCKING 7 MINUTE CHASE SCENE I HATE IT SO MUCH

-sometimes the duck puns can be a lot

okay but of course I don't hate this movie at all it's actually a big comfort for me so

-Lea Thompson as Beverly Switzler is such a casting choice she SLAYS it genuinely changed my life her version of Beverly is the most iconic to ever

-also Chip Zien voicing Howard. can't get better than that. he's a damn good voice actor tbh. people say they wish the movie kept Robin Williams but tbh? they're cowards. Chip Zien Howard is best Howard i take no criticism

-the howarly plotline is definitely the heart of the movie and it's set up so well. it's a liiittle cheesy but it also makes me squeal every two seconds. they've got the angst the fluff and everything in between and you KNOW I'm a sucker for them! seriously they made a point to show how much they understand each other and care for each other and Howard basically makes it his life mission to fix all of Beverly's problems while Beverly makes it her life mission to protect Howard from this wirld that tries to hurt him and they're just so soft and i love them they have SO MANY big moments in this movie and it feeds me

-THE. MUSIC. OH MY GOD. between John Barry's score (the howarly leitmotif titled you're the duckiest is genuinely BRAINROTTING to me) and Thomas Dolby cherry bomb songs (ughhh they're all perfect) the music is such a strong point in this movie

-speaking of: cherry bomb!! they don't have a big part in the movie unfortunately but Ronette, K.C. and Cal are just so charming i want a sequel just focusing on the band without any of the alien stuff. i want more spotlight to my girls!! and of course also Howard and Beverly and even Phil but i need my girlies to get something!!

-this is bit of a minor thing but every single outfit Beverly wears is iconic

-there's some very explicit acab messaging and Beverly aims a gun at a cop <3

-just. the vibes. they're fun. i wish people would just accept this movie as a fun time instead of expecting some kind of deep philosophical whatever because then of course it will disappoint them! take it for what it is! because for what it is it's cute and fun and comforting! and i love it.

We'll do 10 I think because that seems fun to me. Man, I didn't think I'd find these questions so hard when I reblogged that post lmao. But I'll do my best!

I'm going with my "favourite" characters rather than most well-written/best characters because honestly that would be a different list. So here are my current blorbos. Characters that just seeing them makes me happy.

Chloé d'Apchier. Surprise, surprise woman with "Chloé d'Apchier enthusiast" in her bio really likes Chloé. I probably spend more time thinking about her than any other character at the moment and it's been like that for... at least a couple years now. So due to terminal brainrot she's ranked number 1 at this current point in time. Perhaps not the most mind blowing character in general or even the most influential to me personally but I connected to her hard and I think she's generally a lot of fun. Her position within the Gévaudan arc was a really interesting one and that arc is my favourite in vnc so far.

The 11th Doctor. Doctor Who is a weird show for me since in a way I've been a fan before I even watched it. My Dad has been into it since he was a kid and I'd been exposed to it at least mildly through my entire childhood. But my first Doctor was Matt Smith and I couldn't have asked for better. His take on the Doctor was joyful and funny and dark and he really brought his all to the character. 11's got some of my favourite episodes and there's really nothing quite like watching him bounce around time and space with Amy and Rory.

Grovyle. Man... Grovyle pmd is an insane character. I was not prepared for his storyline at the ripe age of 7 years old. Everything about him is so cool in concept and even cooler in execution. His connection with you, the player, really makes the game and along with your partner he's really the heart of pmd2.

Elliot Nightray. I adore Elliot so much. Even if a lot of the best parts of ph come after his death I can't help loving him the most. He has my favourite death scene in anything ever, I think he's incredible. His nobility contrasted with his teenage boy brashness is just very endearing. And his words to Oz about self-sacrifice have always stuck with me. Learnt a lot about myself through Elliot as a teenager and he's a lot of fun besides.

Gilbert Nightray. Two Nightrays in a row! Ah, Gil, truly a guy of all time. He greatly influenced my taste in fictional men (pathetic) and I don't think I've ever recovered. Gil has the edgelord aesthetic that I was drawn to at the time while also being the most pitiable man I've ever seen. Truly rewrote my brain. He grows a lot throughout ph and regularly gets some of the coolest moments.

The 12th Doctor. Same character as earlier just portrayed by a different actor and god, Peter Capaldi understands the Doctor. His storyline is pretty consistent throughout his seasons and his character arc is super rewarding even in episodes that leave something to be desired elsewhere. He also boasts the single best episode in all of Doctor Who, Heaven Sent.

Yuu Koito. I have never in my life related to a romance protagonist the way I related to Yuu. Bloom into You as a series made me feel very seen with her character and even ignoring that she's incredibly funny and one of if not the most enjoyable character in the manga/show.

Alice Baskerville. One of my main gripes with ph is just that I wish there was more Alice! I love Alice, she's always a delight. Her relationship to Oz is one of my favourites in all of ph and her strength of character is really nice. I also like to see a girl get to be a dumb shounen protag sometimes. I need more female characters who are idiots (affectionate).

Portia. The spider from Children of Time. Really there are a number of Portias that are followed throughout the book but I love all of them. I don't know how to convey what's great about her but trust me when I say I've never cared so much about a spider.

Thomas Senlin/Tom Mudd. The Books of Babel series is so fun and Senlin really makes it. He's cowardly and naive at the beginning but he grows a lot while still remaining bookish and weak. He meets all the challenges of the Tower admirably and manages to hang on to his humanity even when it would be easier to discard it like many of the other Tower inhabitants. A recent addition to my blorbo collection and I'm not all caught up on his books but nonetheless he has been rotating in my brain.

Tighnari is such a slay character!! My best friend is a huge Collei fan so I am quite familiar with him! I love his attitude and he’s honestly just relatable.

hope yall like kids because today's idea is working at a daycare!!!!

at first, thomas was kinda like "ehhhhhhhh", he wasnt the biggest fan of kids but he still smiled at them when they called his name and replied when they asked him questions

so like, lets say u really like kids, cause i mean some are literal balls of sunshine and compliments and stupid moments. but u arent ready for ur own child and the responsibility of taking care of and raising a human, so u decide a private daycare is the best place for you to work at. plus, u used to be a kid in there, so it felt natural

over the time he came to pick u up from daycare for dates, or because he felt like it. he didnt mind the kids lunging at him when they saw him, not that much at least. it was cute that they liked him so much they wanted to hug him, he started to feel honoured.

it becomes standard practice for him to come by the daycare at least an hour before your shift ends so he can spend some time with the little girls that warmed up to him over the times he came to pick u up. and its fucking adorable ill tell u that

You hold the paper drawing close to your chest, hugging the little girl as she beamed with pride. "It is the best gift I've ever gotten. Thank you" you say, and she giggles in your embrace. She was used to giving you gifts, and her drawings were the thing you looked most forward to at the end of the day.

"No gift for me?" Thomas complains, and he crosses his arms across his chest, mock hurt. "I have an even better gift for you!!!" she all but squeals, and you can't begin to think what it could be.

The girl motions for Thomas to kneel down to her level, and he does just that, sitting on the soft carpet cross legged. The girl climbs on his lap and gives him a peck om the cheek, giggling as she pulls away from him.

Thomas seems in awe, and the cutest smile is etched on his face. "Are you sure I deserve it?" he asks, mouth fallen open. The girl seems very entertained, a satisfied smile on her face as she nods at Thomas. Your boyfriend smiles back at her, grabbing her little body and holding her high in the air, spinning her a couple times just as he knows she likes. The little girl is screaming with laughter and the same screech that made Thomas cringe less than two months ago now made the smile on his face brighter than the overhead lamps.

He sets her down, and she pulls him in a hug. It looks comical, their height difference has Thomas curled over in a ball so she can hug him. You can't help but beam at them.

You reflectively check the clock above their heads, and the time nears 5pm. "Ann, how about you go get your stuff ready? Mommy will be here any moment, and we have to tell her how good you've been today". She nods along and runs to the room with the little desks, gathering her stuff.

"Apologise"

Thomas looks at you confused. "You hated kids when I met you,". Thomas relaxes his shoulders, a breathy laugh leaving his throat. "Okay fine, you were right. Maybe not all kids are little shits that scream when you are trying to sleep on any means of transport"

You stiffle a laugh at his phrasing. "God, you make my job so much harder" you admit, and he furrows his brow, crossing his hands in front of his chest. "I thought I made it easier and more fun?". You eye him from your peripheral and his composure wavers. "All the girls I have after three are all on you! Always asking where you are because they want a hug or something"

Thomas sucks in an amused giggle. "Long gone are the hugs I used to get from them when the mum's dropped them off," you complain, and Thomas can't hold the amused chuckle.

"Oh, you want hugs too?" he asks, letting his arms drop to his side. "Well, you're just in luck, my arms are empty right now". You turn at Thomas, and he is inching closer, arms spread out. "Thomas wai-" you don't get a chance to finish your sentence before he's on you, holding you tight as you try to relax your hands.

"Thomas wait, god-" you say, hands holding on his hips hard when he moves to hug you from the back, pulling you off your feet. A surprised yelp leaves your mouth when he spins you both around, your hands holding his forearms where he is resting them, just a but lower than your shoulders.

You calm down from the surprise hug attack, but he attacks your neck next, leaving little pecks and kisses all over it. You try your hardest not to squeal too loud, even if his lips are tickling your neck. Little laughs drop from his mouth and hus breaths just make the tickling sensation worse. You try to free yourself from his embrace but his grip is strong, and you can't hold back the high pitched calls of his name as he continues to run his lips all over your neck, avoiding your thrashing hands expertly.

You aren't sure you can even form proper sentences. "Thomas, stop please, god, I have to talk to Annie's m-uh m," you try, and he pulls away with a giggle. You try to catch your breath before locking eyes with the mum in question.

"Shi- I mean, oops. I am so sorry, someone distracted me," you say, glaring daggers at your boyfriend. The mum doesn't seem too impressed, just busy on her phone.

"I'll get Ann, if you may stay with Tom for a second, I promise he's nice" you say and the mum dismisses you with a wave of her hand.

You shake your head as you go looking for Ann in the playground, smiling too wide at the redness Thomas made on your neck from his stubble.
