Do you think there are insanely few couples with Percy in this fandom? Characters that are well thought out and have a backstory. For example, Rachel and Percy are an interesting dynamic and a repetition of the Theseus myth with a different end to the story. Or Percy and Michael Yu (Apollo's son who fell off the bridge) It would be interesting if he survived: Percy feeling guilty for the fall, and Michael comforting him. Or Will and Percy, where both feel the guilt of the survivor (Will is the doctor, and Percy is the commander and leader), or the same Percy and Nico with their story and attempts to talk. Percy and Ethan would be a real pain in the ass with a story and explanations. But they don't nominate them as a couple? Like Pernico, they can be found, but everything else? Will's only fanfiction/The Percy I found was the one where he cheated on Apollo with Will, and Will cheated on Nico with Percy. And I really can't stand cheating.

I think it’s a shame how little other shops there are. Personally I love Percy and Ethan, because I think that dynamic is really interesting, particularly when you highlight the fact that Percy didn’t like the gods, and that Percy ends up thinking that Luke wasn’t necessarily wrong. I might be biased tho bc I am currently a Percy and Ethan oneshot bc I couldn’t find more than one good Fic about that ship.

I also, hot take, think Percy and Leo are a possibly very interesting match. I’m also currently writing a oneshot about them too. But I think they both have powers that related closer to each others than anyone else. They both at some point fear their own powers (at least as far as I’m aware, I’ve not finished HOO so my Leo knowledge is a bit small) and I think they could have a very cool dynamic. Missed opportunity to for Percy to see someone struggling and not super confident with their powers, like he was all those years ago and not have him help! (I like this even better if I think about my HC that Luke taught Percy to control his powers, as Percy canonically points out that Luke is the only person who will train with him after he’s claimed)

I also think you make a really good point about Percy and Michael. Especially because Percy is so prone to guilt, and already has a lot of survivors guilt. It would be an interesting dynamic both ways, if Michael survived and if he died just like he did in canon. If I can think of a good concept for a Fic I’m going to look at writing one for them.

I’ve always been a fan of rare ships too, so I’m pretty used to struggling to find fanfics written about them (Harry Potter/Theo Nott, Percy Jackson/Leo Valdez, Percy Jackson/Ethan Nakamura, etc.)

I feel like I have read a few fics that are Percy/Will, and I like it because it almost feels like it’ll never last. Both feel guilty, and both struggled to survive through the war. I also HC that Will does resent Percy for Lee Fletchers death, and maybe even Michael, because he was there on the bridge and saw it happen. Even if he doesn’t necessarily resent Percy for it, I think it still creates an interesting dynamic. If I can find the fics I liked for them, I’ll leave them in the comments.

Honorable mention to Percy/Pollux and Percy/Castor, because the inherent sadness and depth of guilt that would play into either relationship is amazing. There are criminally little fics with this pairing, so if anyone has any good recs pls send them my way. I’m hoping to get something in the works about one of these ships, but no promises.

Also we do need to mention the Percy/Rachel and Percy/Nico of it all. I wholeheartedly believe that both of these ship options are so much better than what we get in canon. I think Percy with Rachel would be so much healthier than what he had with Annabeth in canon, and that maybe even having someone removed would help him to cope with everything that happened. Allow him to grieve and mourn and be angry. I also think Nico is still a very good choice, paticularly because I don’t like his canon pairing with Will. Especially the limiting use of his powers. In contrast I think Percy would help Nico, would teach him how to use his powers in a way that makes them stronger and doesn’t drain him, because Nico taught himself and never had someone who could teach him how to train his powers up to be stronger and longer lasting. I think Nico also used quite strong powers immediately, in the sense that it’s like if Percy was running around causing earthquakes every where, it drains him and never learnt how to properly manage that. Percy used to get drained with his powers, but he built them up into what they are now, something that didn’t happen with Nico. I have a lot of love for Pernico, because it’s so angsty but has the poetenial to be so good, and again it goes back to guilt.

I think I’ve just realised that a running theme in Percy and his pairing is his guilt. His guilt factors into every relationship in his life, and shapes it. His guilt impacts his relationship with Annabeth, and arguably has a hand in what makes it toxic. Percy is synonymous with his guilt, and I think no matter what pairing you put him with, the guilt has to be acknowledged in some shape or form.

Woahhhhh ok didn’t realise I had so many thoughts about this, please don’t mind my ramblings. If any ohe has any good fic recs or wants some Fic recs, pls let me know :)

annabeth : pyro – passionate, dedicated their lives to something they like. her passion/interest/etc would be architecture, obviously. even tho she's a child of athena, it's not that her biggest trait is searching for any and all knowledge about whatever. it's that, even removing her godly heritage, she would still have a burning passion for architecture that she would 100% put into use regardless of whatever world or au she's in

percy : hydro – strong dedication/desire to help people (or their movement). percy's fatal flaw is literally loyalty. even removing the fact that he's the son of the sea god, the fact that he is overly loyal to those he adores is just really hydro of him. and yeah, other characters can be loyal asw, but it's the forefront of who he is, and defines him, just like his element

grover : dendro – wanting to know things/skills that are hard/forbidden/that they like. for years, he and his ancestors searched for pan. he and his uncle and other satyrs dedicated their lives to it, which was clearly a hard skill-esque thing to do. it's only fair that in teyvat that he'd get a similar story of finding the knowledge and completing what's been lost. even as a human, he'd find something nature-focused to dedicate his life around

jason : electro – seeing the world uniquely and are considered weird/in their own world. the whole camp half-blood vs. camp jupiter arc he had would make you think he would be cryo (stuck between two things) but really, even at either camps, it'd still be off for him. from his parentage to how he was raised and who he is as a person, it just makes sense for him to be considered hugely different from his peers. and if you want to keep in the raised by wolves things, think razor

piper : geo – hardworking in general, does anything to achieve their goal(s). she was a struggle to decide, honestly. but her goal in pjo was to just live a normal life. from having normal attention from her celebrity father to eventually seemingly abandoning the mytho world in toa in favor of living a much more normal, mortal life, she does anything she can to get there. she dates jason to have a normal, loving relationship in the middle of a time where nothing was close to her normal (the war) and leaves him and the others for the mortal side of her life, and achieves what she always wanted

leo : cryo – contridictory life, stuck between two worlds/the past and present. it's his mom's death. even well-past her dying, he's haunted by it, and constantly thinks he's the cause because of his powers. no matter what he does, it always somehow links back to his mother, in one way or another. his life is so interlinked with her death that he's just stuck on it, and has been ever since it happened, and will always be

frank : geo – hardworking in general, does anything to achieve their goal(s). he was hard, like piper. unlike her, i don't think he'd really have one gigantic goal. in pjo, he did, which was to survive, and he managed it, and got rid of his life being tied to a woodstick. i think he'd be hardworking to prove himself, also like in the books. he proved himself to be useful to the seven despite his whole life-stick thing, to the camp despite being in the worst cohort

hazel : cryo – contridictory life, stuck between two worlds/the past and present. it's kind of self explanatory? from the whole sammy-leo plot to her having been literally dead for a while (think qiqi too), it's the most fitting. you can maybe add the whole dead mom thing like leo, although it would weigh more on her of how her mom was the cause of her death due to her being manipulated by a higher-being rather than leo's whole haunted by the memory of his mother plot

nico : cryo – contridictory life, stuck between two worlds/the past and present. like hazel, he's from the past. like leo, the death his mom (and sister) weigh on him heavily. bianca's affected him for four straight years, with him being completely on his own when he ran and had to face her death. he even tried to bring her back. i think that's reason enough for cryo

reyna : anemo – desire for/chasing after a form of freedom. she, although not being forced into it, had been a foundational role for camp jupiter for a long while at a young age, and eventually took her chance with the hunters to find herself. her freedom is her ability to now discover who she wants to be without feeling like she needs to step up into a heavly burdening role

Assigning PJO/ HoO characters to Knights Radiant orders (+ my reasoning)

I put too much thought into this not to share it somewhere so here’s a sort-of character analysis that is much longer than it needs to be (bc I was bored and stuck in a car for 10 hours) :)

Not sure how much of a crossover there is between the PJO and Stormlight Archive fandoms but this was mostly for fun (and I want to see what happens lol)

Here we go!

🔱 Percy Jackson : Stoneward

The powers don’t rly fit (Cohesion- manipulating objects at a molecular level- & Tension- changing the stiffness of something) but none of the Radiants have water powers so 🤷‍♀️

Loyalty is pretty much the #1 belief of the Stonewards (“Though sometimes gregarious, they are never flighty. If a Stoneward is your friend, they will be there for you”) and Percy’s fatal flaw is literally loyalty so that’s that

Percy is said to be one of the best fighters seen like anywhere in a long time and Stonewards are the order that is viewed as the best soldiers of the Radiants

They like a challenge and will often take on more than they can handle (like Percy choosing to take on the Great Prophecy)

Stonewards are also good at being able to find a solution to a difficult situation with only few resources and Percy often comes up with things on the fly/ improvises

I struggled SO MUCH picking one for Percy oh my god he had similarities to like half of them (I almost made him a Bondsmith or a Windrunner but they didn’t seem right)

🦉 Annabeth Chase : Elsecaller

Powers : Transformation (changing an object into something else- aka ‘Soulcasting’) and Transportation (looking/moving between realms); Annabeth likes creating new things (architecture) so there’s a bit of a connection to the Transformation power even tho she doesn’t really have powers

Elsecallers are always trying to reach their full potential, like how Annabeth is always be seen trying to learn new things and become the best version of herself

They are regarded as the ‘wisest’ Radiant order (just like Annabeth/ the Athena cabin are viewed as the ‘wisest’ demigods)

Annabeth always has her goals in mind but also always trying to lead and encourage others (like Damasen) which is common amongst Elsecallers

🐐 Grover Underwood : Edgedancer

Powers: Abrasion (altering the friction between surfaces) & Progression (quickly growing organic objects faster than normal- including plants, skin, body tissue, etc.)

He’s able to make plants grow faster using his magic reed pipe so that would translate into Progression

Abrasion would kind of fit for him too, bc of the goat legs (he’s able to navigate more difficult terrain than humans)

Edgedancers care about the ordinary/ overlooked people of the world and spend most of their time making sure those people are protected. Grover cares deeply about nature/ animals and always tries to protect them bc humans often deem nature unimportant (nature = ordinary people in this scenario)

☠️ Nico di Angelo : Dustbringer

Powers: Division (control over destruction/ decay) and Abrasion

I don’t know if Nico has anything that really fits the Abrasion power- except for maybe the fact that his shadow travel helps him get places quickly- but Division is definitely similar to his power over death/ earthy materials

Dustbringers typically don’t get along with others (including people in their own order) because of personality differences and stereotypes about their powers like how Nico is often ostracized at first bc he scares people

☀️ Will Solace : Edgedancer

Powers: Abrasion & Progression

Will is a healer so Progression would be a good power for him to have; while he doesn’t have any powers similar to Abrasion I think it would be useful for him to have to get to injured people faster

Will cares about everyone and will do his best to heal anyone because he doesn’t want anyone to suffer, and he doesn’t just focus on the powerful demigods- he makes sure to lend his power anywhere it’s needed

Fighting is not the the Edgedancers’ main concern, preferring to protect/help the injured (especially people who aren’t necessarily warriors) and Will also is more like a wartime medic than a fighter (though he- and the Edgedancers- can fight if necessary)

They want to see and understand both sides of something, even their enemies, rather than seeing everything in black and white. Will struggled with this in TSATS but eventually realized that places like the Underworld aren’t necessarily just about death/decay, but are also about life

🌩️ Jason Grace : Windrunner

Well first of all the man flies and that’s basically what the Windrunners do lol

Their powers: Adhesion (temporarily sticking two objects together) and Gravitation (changing the direction/ strength of something’s gravitational pull)

He cares a lot about protecting innocents/ the defenseless and keeping his friends safe which is a main idea of the Windrunners

Windrunners are very militaristic in general and Jason was raised by the wolves and the Romans to be that way as well

Tempest would be his windspren & prefer a horse form cus they can do that (I think)

⚡️ Thalia Grace : Windrunner

I know she hates flying but I don’t think it’s really a requirement of the Windrunners to ‘fly’; they mostly just change the direction/amount of gravity that’s pulling on them so she could find creative ways to use Gravitation (walking on walls/ceilings which then appear to be the floor to her, etc)

The Hunters of Artemis are pretty militaristic as well (they have a specific leader & ways of doing things, similar to the Romans)

Thalia cares about innocent people/creatures and is very protective over the people she cares about (Annabeth, the Hunters, etc)

Windrunners tend to attract “big-sibling types” and Thalia is definitely a big sibling type lol

🏹 Frank Zhang : Stoneward

Powers don’t rly fit him either but personality-wise I think it’s right

Frank is really loyal to his friends (sometimes to the point of attacking/fighting people more powerful than him to save them) and will always be there for them both in battle and for personal issues

He’s pretty good at improvising and his shapeshifting allows him to come up with creative solutions (turning into an iguana to get out of the Chinese handcuffs lol)

He’s also pretty quick to come up with creative solutions without many resources (using his firewood to free Thanatos when there was no other heat source, etc.)

💎 Hazel Levesque : Lightweaver

Powers : Illumination (illusions) and Transformation

Hazel learned how to manipulate the mist from Hecate, essentially giving her illusion powers, & she can change the shape of earthly materials (can’t change the material but it’s close enough to Transformation); this is one case where I almost made her a Stoneward but Lightweaver just fit better for everything else I think

Lightweavers are the ‘artistic’ order and attract people who love art/ creativity (Hazel is an artist)

They tend to not follow rules the way other orders do, instead choosing to reach their goals by their own means (ex. Hazel choosing to go her own way and make her own choices rather than taking one of the paths Hecate gave her in HoH)

🔥 Leo Valdez : Dustbringer

Same as Nico; both of them being Dustbringers would be an example of contrasting/ clashing personalities within the order

Fire is definitely a destructive ability similar to Division (they can burn things) and without a level of control (which Dustbringers need to learn before they can advance their powers) things could get bad (and have- rip Esperanza Valdez)

Leo hasn’t really been ostracized for his personality like Dustbringers could be but his powers originally made people scared (they didn’t know he had them at the time but his cabinmates did say a that having that power was dangerous and they hoped no one would ever have it again so he took that a little personally)

🗡️ Reyna Ramirez-Arellano : Bondsmith

She’d be bonded to the Stormfather (1 of 3 beings who can gift Bondsmith abilities), allowing her to generate Stormlight and infuse other Radiants with it; this is incredibly draining and similar to Reyna’s ability to share her strength

Bondsmiths’ main focus is unity/ bringing people together and Reyna definitely spends a lot of time attempting to unite the Roman and Greek camp (after all, she did spend an entire book helping Nico and Coach Hedge get the Athena Parthenos back to CHB as a peace offering)

Bondsmith powers aren’t typically used for fighting but rather for assisting other Radiants and keep them fighting; Reyna is skilled with weapons but doesn’t use her powers to fight, only to help others keep up their strength/ motivation

🕊️ Piper McLean : Lightweaver

Piper had some personal things that she had to work out (lying to her friends in TLH, etc) before she fully embraced her power, & Lightweavers have to come to terms with truths about themselves before they can progress as people & as Radiants

There aren’t really any Radiant orders that work with manipulation magic so it’s hard to bring the Charmspeak in but the illusion magic Lightweavers have does allow them to change their appearance, so I’d imagine her using it to make herself super beautiful for espionage purposes or smth (maybe using it to transform into someone’s loved one?)

Transformation would allowed her to turn something into something else (etc. mud to food) which kind of relates to her cornucopia & how it makes food out of nothing

Sep 27, 2015: the skull ring is first seen, albeit blurry, in jason grace’s vlog around his school, in which nico is sitting in their school cafeteria. it’s on his right ring finger, as it always has been (that we know of, logically he may have worn it on his middle or index finger when younger)

I feel like fandom is kinda split on her with percabeth shippers loving her but any m/m shipper I've seen does not like her, really. She is my bae tho <3

Percabeth antis grind my gears so much because they never hate Percy, nono, even though he's arguably done more questionable stuff than Annabeth. Not everyone who hates her is doing so because of a mlm ship— the Perachel stans claim that Annabeth is a misogynist. However, basically everyone that isn't trying to ship her boyfriend with Rachel is trying to ship him with Jason, Nico, or her old friend Luke. They make her out to be this horrible abusive girlboss(derogatory) that she's simply... not. She doesn't insult Percy for having ADHD just because she's highly intelligent. She doesn't physically abuse him, and doesn't lay a finger on him outside of training. She's really devoted to him in a non-anti-feminist way. They just hate her for 'getting in the way' of Nico's convoluted attraction to Percy, or Jason's close friendship with him, or Luke's rivalry with him. But those relationships all flourish the way they were intended by the author: non-romantically. It's not Annabeth's fault for being intelligent or capable or jokingly snide or determined or any of those non-stereotypically-feminine qualities. She's just out here existing and people hate her for not being a man. Sorry for the rant.

She's canonically in a relationship with Percy Jackson for most of the books they're in, but he often gets paired in canon with other male characters, such as Nico di Angelo or Jason Grace. In fan fiction (especially yaoi focused ones) she's characterized as being a stuck up know it all, but she gets into plenty of shenanigans in canon and can be pretty goofy and sweet!

Basil Hawkins:

EASILY my favorite character. Me and my mutual have been rambling about him for days. So far he’s only had like eight minutes of screen time so don’t know why I like him so much, I just do. My silly babygirl. My borblo Right off the bat, he’s feather ticklish

Like, really. Feathers affect him more than actual fingers

I think he has a very gentle and soft laugh most of the time, but it can get loud if you hit a bad spot

I think his worst spots are his belly, neck, and chin

If you use a feather on any of those spots he will die

EXTREMELY squirmy. He will buck, kick, shove, squirm, whatever he has to do to get away

He’s a really gentle ler most of the time

He’ll just hold you close with an arm while he mindlessly traces his finger on your belly, reading his cards like nothings happening

If you want to get away he’ll let you

But if you tickle him first, that gentleness is thrown out the window and he immediately targets your death spots, scribbling his gloved fingers all over your squirming figure

He doesn’t do it for long tho, and he’s nice enough to get you some water afterwards :)

Perona:

MY GIRLLLL! I love her so so much she’s easily my favorite female character! I just love her style sm, I need her outfit! I love her little ghosts and her aesthetic as a whole, she’s just so pretty!

Persona just oozes sister vibes, both big and little. So I would say she’s an even 50/50 switch

She’s probably ticklish all over, but I would say her worst spot is her belly, specifically her belly button

She doesn’t shut up when being tickled. She’ll scream, beg, plead, complain, or try to distract you

Either that or she’ll send her ghosts to make you depressed

She would be such a brat after being tickled tbh 😭

She would pout and scold you before eventually moving on and floating away

While I do think he’s ticklish, I think he has a lot of tolerance for those kind of things

He doesn’t actually squirm around that much. He’ll flinch and shove a bit, maybe kick his legs a few times, but for the most part he just takes it

But he does have one weakness: raspberries

i'm going tell you... that they met before the vex arc :3c

vex commune is a great place! a little village with a wall partially around it, full of vexes who work together to survive. they have little farms, one single old goat, and they go out to hunt. and they are very against the hunters. they actively fight any that breach their area.

they're also rough. sharp-edged. they solve arguments through fighting. (their vex form can heal them so it's not like they're putting each other out of commission) they don't shy away from violence, and they like to live unapologetically. and... they do more than just survive. they make drinks and have little parties and celebrations, they dance and spar, they have communal events and train together. they go on patrols and have each others' backs. they're very protective of their own! a vex pack!

there's one more vex oc that will be in this arc, nadia. she's more of a calmer, guiding presence. she's older, and she's lost her mate, and... just like scar and grian, she isn't originally from this world :3c

grian being an avian is definitely tricky. (they're honestly just surprised he's even alive, with feathers like that—)

as for him being scar's mate, they definitely think he can't possibly give scar what scar (as a vex) needs. this becomes obvious when they ask grian about their mating marks, and why only grian is marked. (they don't know about avians and feathers.) they think surely this is unfair for grian's partner!

cue grian stressing himself out that they might be right and he's a bad mate to scar.

while the others learn to accept grian and realise they might've been wrong, grian also learns about vexes! for example, that they also like their wings touched, and it can be intimate and soothing for them! (just another failure on his part.)

of course scar is fiercely protective of his partner and madly in love though, so they're gonna be okay <333 and the others will eventually come to understand, too. it might just take a while, because it's all so very new to them.

(in the rp bit, you can see that it's even noted that there was a shift over time, right in this sentence: Despite claiming victory during their previous dispute over insensitivity, Kane clearly cares to get this right.)

The Hatchet Job

Some days passed before they had another job to do. Halina and Mordecai being picked up by the Savoys again. Yet again Halina was targeted by their stares.. especially Nico who she felt surprisingly more on edge about than Serafine.

Their target was a more higher tiered one, no info on why this time tho... just... Sweet wanting to off them.

Halina this time sat next to Mordecai. Wanting to escape those stares of the siblings.

Mordecai, of course not wanting asymmetry, so both sat in the middle. Both looked as serious as usual.

So far it had been quite the long awkward silence. Both siblings and cats in the back seats didn't talk at all, not even a small chat. They only knew where to find their objective but everything else was shrouded in mystery...

Sooner or later they would find out, perhaps get an idea, but alas in the meantime the long drive with unpleasant stares kept on moving.

"Why sittin' so close, hm? Not likin' de space?" Serafine suddenly let out, looking at the two, seeing how Halina was clearly very close to Mordecai this time.

The grey cat didn't want them to suspect anything. Looking very seriously over at Serafine. "No. I just want to see the road more clearly, especially right after our last rendezvous with him crashing our vehicle into the car we were chasing." she said with a strict tone, looking quite serious as her eyebrows narrowed sharply. 

"Was droite a petit bump." Nico defended his driving skills, as if he was used to high impact car crashes or something similar. Alas, class wasn't his forte, or not that he chose to have any.

"We have more important matters at hand rather than trivial matters of seat positioning. Like the likes of our current mission and the lack of intel our employer provided." Mordecai remarked. Once more, taking focus away from Halina as much as he could. He was observant after all, and didn't like the looks those two were giving her this time.

Serafine scoffed, giving the black cat a picture. "In town, we will kill em."

It was the only information they got? Now it really got Mordecai and Halina to think.

They drove around town for a bit, coming closer to a park area, the street lamps lighting the way before seeing a lone silhouette of a slim built cat walking somewhere, looking over at the picture again, they had found their target. They had to dispose of them.. discreetly. If that even was a thing in the Savoy's minds.

Halina looked over to Mordecai, wondering if he had an idea or if grabbing the poor sap was the only option?

“Why the secretiveness this time around... Mr. Sweet usually would give some Intel or vague explanation on why or what we needed to do but alas... This time it’s the opposite..” Mordecai pondered, trying to figure out what was actually going on or if there was a way to not jump to action without thinking.

"Sooooo... We doin' anythin'?" Nico insisted, looking at the pair in the back seat. Considering how so far they have spotted their victim but done anything yet.

"......Grab him. We need him alive.. for now. Then we dispose of him in a discreet area no one will look for him." Halina said, this time being the one to say the instructions. Not Mordecai.

"Ahhh the petit lady doin' de talkin'~ je aimer de idea." Serafine said, rather pleased.

"Good assez." Nico let out, kind of shrugging in a way. Were those two planning something?

Mordecai looked at the siblings trying to decipher before looking back at Halina. Her initiative took him off guard, but alas nothing to complain about.

Thus the car got closer to their victim, preparing to exit and snatch them off, probably either throwing them in the trunk behind until they arrived in a desolate area..

It took less than a minute before their victim was locked in the back.

Halina sat in the back. Crossing her legs calmly before Mordecai sat next to her, both not looking at each other for now to keep their minds at ease.

They went up to the woodland roads again, this time it was gonna be a bit... different. The ride there was silent. No quips or comments from the Savoy's... that was alarming to say the least. But the silence even if unnerving was… welcomed for once.

Halina’s tail went behind Mordecai, being near him was keeping her nerves down. Their tails being together and hidden from the duo in front of them was comforting at least. But that wouldn't last. They would reach their destination and things would take a turn.

"Hey girly~" Serafine suddenly let out when spotting Halina get out of the car. "De boss man gave us a hatchet. Maybe we be able to see your skill in it hm?~" She suggested. Having a rather dark smirk on her face while grabbing the hatchet out of the car.

Halina stared at them both. "What- No. We're supposed to be discreet." She told them seriously. Feeling extremely nervous now.

"How more can you hide if you cut dem in pieces?" Serafine let out like it was a normal thing.

Halina's stare was of shock. She couldn't hide the fact that she hated the idea. Serafine clearly was trying to push her to do it.

"On did our thing, now fois vous do yours." The other savoy pressured as if they were talking about something so simple and not an atrocious act...

Serafine going further and pushing the hatchet towards Halina's hands & chest. Patting lightly with the looks and gestures of "Go on~" The dark smirk showing up again, They must know about it... how she got when given a hatchet or having to… dismember someone. The siblings kept pushing her until the black cat stepped in. Grabbing the hatchet away from the grey cat, which took Dabrowska off guard, snapping her out of the pressure trance those two were pushing her for.

"What are we? Acting as prepubescent youth daring others or to do something out of their will?" The one wearing glasses scolded the siblings. He took a quick glance at Halina, seeing that she was still altered. He sighed before placing the hatchet nearby as he started to take off his jacket.

"What ya doin'? Got heated so quickly?" Nicodeme mocked lightly, yet not expecting the black cat to step in instead of the grey one.

"I'm taking care of the disposal. Dabrowska already did her part in the abduction, hence why I will proceed to do my part of the job." He replied coldly, since apparently the other duo didn't want to cooperate with the current problem at hand. Mordecai hated the idea of having to do it but alas... was there another choice? He kept taking his outer clothes off so as not to stain them.

Halina looked shocked before quickly coming close to his side, taking his coat calmly and vest, then shirt. She didn't want him to dirty them, so she would take care of them for him. 

Her back towards the siblings, she looked up to him with a "are you sure?" type of look, only being given that typical “glare” of his, but it was calming to her, she was used to his stares, used to that angry looking face that it didn't make her as worried. But still, he took her place instead to keep the savoys from seeing her black out and surely doing something worse. She had lost her professionalism in front of Mordecai already when using it, she was happy to have him by her side, understanding her better than anyone.

Once he was ready... he picked up the hatchet, walking to the poor victim in the trunk that was about to get chopped into who knows how many pieces. Serafine being somewhat disappointed that their plans got changed at the last second due to the black killjoy jumping in to ruin it. But alas... at least they were going to get quite the show from that killjoy one way or another. Halina clinging onto his clothes, keeping them closer to her in an attempt to comfort herself yet at the same time not really wanting to observe much of what was going to take place...

She kept silent, seeing how he got the victim out of the back, instead, he leaped out! The guy was terrified, of course... who wouldn't be? Scared for his life, he ran like hell..

"Hoo! Look! De mouth'piece got his feet unner 'im cher. Don't let 'im go run off!" Serafine shouted out as she saw what was going on.

Halina was looking, seeing how close Mordecai got to the victim before swinging. She quickly looked away, holding onto his clothes tighter, before she felt something metal in her hand, she got it out more. She saw it was his pocket watch, opening it and seeing the time.. Hearing the nightmarish sounds going on behind her, seeing the time tick by as the job was being handled.

The time ticked by as her worry slowly went away, with every tick, she just felt calm, like every other sound around her disappeared and only the hard tick of the clock was keeping her company in the silence. Halina’s heart was beating slowly before hearing the end of the hacking. She put the clock away in her pocket before taking a deep breath, getting ready for the aftermath.

The Devils used to be a team that were always in the playoffs. I believe from 2000 through 2012 they made the playoffs almost every year.

From 2012-2017 were the dark years when they were the bottom of the barrel (think about the Ducks, Sharks, Chicago right now and how they have no playoff aspirations)

They drafted Nico Hischier in summer 2017 and this started the “rebuild” to get back to the team they were before that was always making the playoffs.

Jack Hughes was the other part of that puzzle with his draft in 2019

Every move since then has been to make a team around Hischier and Hughes (and also Jesper Bratt even though he didn’t get his long term contract until recently). So that’s what they did. Every major signing and every major trade has been to form a team around those two players.

The NJD Core is Hischier Hughes Bratt and Dougie Hamilton, Timo Meier, Luke Hughes, and Simon Nemec. Just on the outside of the core but still important is Dawson Mercer and Seamus Casey. These are the players that you’re more than likely to keep and not trade away.

The Devils were meant to be going for the wildcard in the 2021-2022 season but they had goalie issues (similar to last season) and actually played like eight goalies that season so that’s why that season didn’t work out but if you looked at the offense they were primed to be a good team.

I know the hockey world was shocked when they did so well in the 2022-2023 season but a lot of the fans weren’t because we knew the potential of the team and had seen that the only missing piece was goaltending. And we got good goaltending for a season.

Last season was a fluke and I agree with what white heart anon said it had to do with all the injuries and all the bad defense and bad goaltending but also the teams culture and locker room was shaken and had to deal with not only MM20 and him being a criminal but also Cal Foote being a criminal and some other players in the locker room (now gone) who were not elevating the culture or buying in to the team

Plus the team did not have the right coach. Lindy Ruff was good to develop the young players but not good to coach them afterwards.

And now we are here.

As for who is the greatest hockey player ever? I am partial to Sidney Crosby but I’d say actually it’s probably Wayne Gretzky or Bobby Orr or Gordie Howe. I’d even put like Jagr up there or Lemieux (but he’s done HORRIBLE things so I don’t like him)

Who’s the next McDavid? I’d say Bedard is probably the player that has the most potential to reach his level.

I have never been so confident in a ship before as I am with Sahed and Julia.

There are a lot of hints that imply that they're gonna be romantically involved in the future, because from a storytelling standpoint, why would you introduce so many things in their dynamic that can lead to a potentially good conflict for them if you're not gonna make them have a satisfying resolution?

Why introduce Julia's attraction if it's not going to get fulfilled? People often bring Dani from Hooky to use as a counter argument to this question. She had a crush on Mark in the beginning, but she still got more closer with Nico at the end, almost making them canon. The thing is, in Julia's case, there's also another factor in play, it's the impossibility for her to pursue those feelings due to Kamille being in love with Sahed. She's not, but as long as Julia thinks she is, she's gonna deny her attraction to Sahed, she's that good of a friend.

So it would be a waste of time to develop that dynamic of her being attracted to Sahed, and not being able to accept it/say it, he being the lil tease he is, not making things any better for her crush, they becoming partners in crime since she can't talk about her pact with anyone else, only with him; Sahed being an Ah'kon and she's starting to trust them and see that they're equals, that he's the one who's going to show her the world as it is, and not the lie she's been living; her father being in the military/discriminates ah'kons finding out his daughter knows one and he's very close to her; all of those so well constructed dynamics to be thrown away just to make her be with someone else...?

It would pain me more from a story consistency standpoint than from a shipping standpoint and I feel like Miriam knows what she's doing with the story, so yeah, even tho I sometimes feel insecure/scared for the ship, I just have to re-read their chapters and overanalyze their relationship and I'll feel better.

But hey! Even if they don't end up being canon, I think I would still make fanarts of them because honestly, if it wasn't obvious from how much I talked, I'm not sell in any other ships as much as I'm sell for them 💖

Eren chuckles, “Mrs.Yeager, I mean,” he looks at her longingly for a moment, his eyes tracing over the soft angles of her face, right along her lips, a visual caress before he continues, “It does have sort of a nice ring to it. Mikasa Yeager.” 

And shit, it’s sexual again because he makes love to every syllable of her name, tastes it on his lips like he’s tasting her, and she knows that tongue would do delicious things for her, make her scream his name. 

Mikasa tucks her hair behind her ear nervously, giving him a lighthearted smack because she is dying, her heart beating so fast she can barely keep up. It does have a nice ring to it. 

He winks at her and they both go back to their respective string of lights, a comfortable silence taking over and if she were a teenager she’d be screaming right now, because he’s so fucking cute and so perfect! This is a MAN! 

And she wants nothing more than to jump his bones right now in front of the Christmas tree, let him make love to her against the mantle, knock over all the stockings her mom hung up, shit. HI sorry to dm you out of the blue but i tried posting my post on WEDNESDAY MORNING and the first time i deleted it after 12 hours of it being up and still not in the tag, my second attempt is still on my blog because i sent support a ticket about it (i deleted the book club tag off it tho), my third attempt, which is what's in the tag, was literally me copypasting the html into notepad, making a mostly blank post, adding the og post piecemeal, and seeing if it disappeared from the tag or not. it seems there were a few specific images that were the problem, two of which i deleted and the third of which i just used a different crop of the page and it worked. i don't know WHY those images were a problem but hopefully support will shed some light on it if they get back to me?? i saw you had trouble with your vashwood post so i wonder if other bookclubbers are having the same issue and i'm afraid i'm missing posts because of it v_v

also re: your other tags YEA i agree abt the DID rep, i'm familiar with it bc i used to be close to someone who has it, i dont see it a lot in media to begin with but i've DEF seen worse from media that's much more recent than trigun lmao. also- yes razlo is there in the scene but my question is more abt his /degree/ of involvement like. did he convince livio to join eom/plant the idea in his head/tell him ww was there/etc... because "wanting to follow ww" as a motivation def comes from livio not razlo.. IF that even makes sense sorry i am half asleep rn. Oh man, no worries! Yeah I had the same thing happen with this post, to the point that I had to eventually remake it without any images (which were kinda core to the post, thanks Tumblr!!!) and for some reason that worked??? I even reworded the whole thing multiple times, but nothing! So I'm gonna tag this as bookclub so it shows up and folks know that the tag is being stupid from time to time. This is also happening to posts in the "Trigun" tag and search function, and someone I know had an issue with blocking the other day, so I think Tumblr's probably fucking with the code

Seriously, kudos to Nightow for writing this in the early 2000's (when I assume this volume was probably initially published as chapters in its magazine) and doing better rep than every single horror movie out there. That's definitely the angle that Tristamp seems to be leaning toward, but it would be VERY interesting if Trimax Razlo hunted down big brother Nico and wanted Livio to join him. Hello! just wanted to say that i really don’t mean to make you uncomfortable at all with this ask since i know you’re sex repulsed ace but i swear i don’t mean it in that way. as in in the sex way. it’s more as in the overcoming religious trauma and being proud of ones sexuality way!

picture this : nico di angelo. he’s at the Grammys. he’s just released guilty as sin? and everyone’s going absolutely bonkers bannanas. he’s walking the little carpet (added detail he is wearing the dress taylor wore at the show announcing ttpd). he sees a reporter and smiles at them and there recording and being like “omg nico is love your new song aaaa!” and nico just deadpan stares at them as he slowly walks by and lifts up the slit in his dress just a tiny bit and boom tattoo that says mine. ON HIS UPPER THIGH?!? 😨😨😨😨 he sets his dress back down winks and walks away like nothing ever happened. the reporter ( a gen z) puts it on tiktok with the caption “NICO WTF?!” CROWD GOES WILLLDDDD PEOPLE ARE GOING INSANE NICO THAT NICO HAS A TATTOO AND ITS ESPECIALLY MINE ON HIS UPPER THIGH LIKE IN THE SONG WHEN DID HE GET THIS WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? and everyone assumes it’s just so sexual when in reality it’s sexual in the way that the guilty as sin bridge is sexual. yes it’s based around sexuality but more the acceptance that he is allowed to feel those feelings towards someone especially another man. it’s a celebration of how far he’s come from that little scared christian boy who thought he was dirty and wrong to now and something that he can look down at and be happy from how far he’s come. (also nico had to train will for a few days so that his barely legible doctors handwriting at least looked nice enough to be readable) (also will made the haha so many couples break up after they get tattoos comment when nico was getting it and he was like “will if you ever even try to leave me the entire universe will be destroyed and that includes you” and he’s like “well i wouldn’t leave you anyways but remind me from time to time it’s funny.” “yeppers peppers” (also hc that nico says incredibly silly phrases cause he picked some of them up from will but some of them are his)

anyways sorry about this very specific scenario! you do not have to respond to this if you don’t want to since there isn’t much to say and i know you must be busy with a ton of asks haha. just wanted to share one of the scenes i imagine happening in tyt in the FARRR future! Might low key write a fic about it if i ever figure out how to write if that would be okay with you!

KSDJFSD NO BC ppl's reactions to his tattoos (though, tbf, they're mostly grief-related tattoos) has been something i've been thinking about for agesss and will probably include at some point.

so many little details in this that i LOVEEJSDF nico training will's doctor handwriting😭😭 i actually plan to add a tattoo at some point of will + all of the rest of nico's found family drawing stars and then having like a collection of them on his chest, which i will definitely be including at some point, and i can just imagine nico trying to teach will how to draw a star (he draws them like taylor swift's "stars, do u like dem" drawing)

but on to the main point: i absolutely love this idea! though i'm not planning on guilty as sin actually being a song that nico releases (unfortunately ://) he will 100% be making moves with his music that displays his growth as a person and his increased comfort with himself in all forms!!

the silly phrases hc is wonderful. CANON NOW. i also especially like nico also looking up like old-timey phrases and then just using them for no reason other than to confuse his friends

AND THE CIWYW NECKLACE!!!! will already has nico's ring on his necklace, but i think nico would 100% get either a necklace with a sun on it to represent will (maybe personalized to have the same design that he has as his tattoo) or his initials, or both. the ciwyw necklace will always be peak romance though <33
