Soon, I will be officially releasing Lullabies for Georgiana on Tapas. I am think of posting on Sundays whenever I am able to. The stories about Georgiana, her childhood and dreams will be exposed here. ... As will my personal life as Georgie is my persona turned fictional character. Lol. . . I am still publishing Listening to Georgiana. We are now on Chapter 7 with a new subchapter today at 4pm PST. This means 3 more chapters before the book ends. 🎉🎉🎉 I do want to say that if you're looking to read a novel about mental health, friendship, self-analysis and self-love, this is a great book to read. if you want a bit of romance, this has like a smidge of it. xD If you're looking for a decisive ending where a girl wins over depression, THIS IS NOT IT. Mental health is a constant struggle and I wanted to convey that in my story. But that is why the story of Georgie spans in more that just LtoG and why LfG exists. . That's what I've been busying myself with these few days, creating chapters and bonus chapters. 👍👍👍 Seriously really happy for the first in a while tbh to announce this. Reaching chapter 6 of LtoG, (a bit past midway of the novel) so I thought I would share some bits about what I am working on. Lullabies will be a collection of short comics about dreams but also about anxiety and loneliness.⠀ .⠀ Aside from the beginning of the comic, there's no true chronological order to the stories as they are dreams. I modeled Georgie after myself so a lot of her basic personality is literally me. Lol Overtime, I've really pushed to keep her separate from myself because I wanted to continue her story in a direction deviating from my own. Usually, you'd call her something of a self-insert but because Listening to Georgiana was like a diary to me, I always felt it was more of an embellished auto-biography making her not a self-insert ... if that makes sense. . I talk about Georgiana going through depression and how it affects her point of view of life. Like I mentioned, it's my life story laced with fictionalized characters and events. I've long finished her first book and am working on the second. And honestly, Georgiana's story is truly different from my own by the time LtoG ends. I feel I can give her a concrete happy ending by the end of it all. . More often than not, I feel the happy ending to someone going through mental setbacks is having normality in their life again. I want just a little bit more than that for Georgie who is plagued by her past. So, first and foremost, I wanted to show how she'd look at the beginning of her story. And then later, as I progress the story on Tapas, I'll update how she would've looked like. . . I update subchapters on a weekly basis on Thursdays. I thought I would finally write about that thing called the wall of suck or better known as self-sabotage (which I feel for me is an inevitable occurrence). It just happens.

And I have to problem-solve my way out of my own complicatedly weaved web of part laziness and partly overwhelmed.

Shipping my own ocs Georgie and Seb even if they're only friends. . I haven't written enough of the second book to know whether these two end up, but I like to imagine them as a couple every now and again. If they were ever to dress up though, I imagine they like to go all out, especially Sebastian.

Happy Thanksgiving guys. 💓 . A slow progress is still progress. I'm sure at some point, I'll get faster again but not any time soon. . I hope to do a process video for the ones done as soon as I can. . . . [Art id] This is Madison, Maddie for short. She appears quite a lot in the novel and actually visits the Maison near the end of the novel. Time is such a strange concept in LtoG, so it comes as flashbacks. It happens around November of Georgie's 24th Birthday though and plays the most significance during Book 2. It's not evident how important Maddie is apart from Georgie saying so. She's a very open person, trustworthy, and a person Georgie aspires to be (in those sense). And being honest to herself, Georgie learned from Maddie whether it was done on purpose or just from watching, it was learned. . This took forever, but it was worth it. I'm still working on day 9. Definitely super behind at this point. I want to do it right though so, it'll take some time. . . This line art has been available since yesterday. I did edit it a few times while coloring. . . [Art i.d.] Robby is a sweetheart and that's why he gets roses. This is red orange though bc I reserved red for a different character. . He's 1 of 2 roses I had planned. I think I decided this pose because Robert is supposed to be this friendly guy who gives all the live he cab to everyone. It can be frustrating for someone like Young Georgie, but you'll have to read the novel to get a full gist of how this easy-going personality affects her in the long run. . [Art i.d.] Day 5 is Josephine. Joey for short. She is another kindred spirit to Georgie, and like Sunny, she rarely appears on LtoG. She has some notable moments in LtoG which drive the story forward. I would say that she's a bright character plagued with some darkness that she doesn't let swallow her. So very unlike Abby. Interestingly enough, Georgie used to see herself in Joey. She's like the second protag of LtoG. I drew her in her favorite place, her greenhouse. Except, I drew her at a different angle. I took a night off away from my phone. It was lovely. 😊 [warning. Long caption below!] . 🤔Thoughts on this piece... I really didn't know how else to embellish her background. Lol It's based on the side entryway that's in the story, and there's nothing there. In hindsight, 😅 I should've just made up stuff. So maybe later, when I get the chance, I'll add more details. . BTW the setting of LtoG is a large plot of land. They live in a Maison, there's a cathedral at walking distance, a row of trees which Georgie refers to as a thin forest and some-drive away is the English Channel. yep. In the opposite direction is a small town. It's based on a real place in France. I Google Mapped it 6 years ago. 🤣 I walked around & everything. 😉😂 . . This is Sister Pema. She's not a nun🙍‍♀️ yet🙆‍♀️, which is a decision I didn't know I made until I reread my story while creating her design. 😂 (When a story takes a life of its own.) She is 1 of 4 who listens to Georgie's story throughout the entire narration of the book. She's a sweetheart honestly, and I wanted to show how warm she is but also making sure she feels like an authority figure. 💛 She also likes to joke around even though she isn't really familiar or good at it. Lol She tries. I tried to simplify her as best I could. (And yeah, she is young. I really like how she turned out. I wanted to really make her feel worldly and sort of like an old soul. And so i hope I was able to do that. & yes, she's a hot librarian. 🤣🤣🤣 . Reminder.
