I just find it interesting that y’all who are annoyed with Taylor winning AOTY are mad at swifties. The Grammys aren’t decided on a popular vote system. You can be frustrated that Taylor won an award but taking it out on people who are happy that they’re favorite artist won something is a bit much

the rise and fall of a midwest princess
cowboy carter
ttpd
short n sweet
hit me hard and soft
the others (sorry idk them)
#really any of the top 3 i'd be satisfied and the rest i'd be like ok sure#brat is brat. it's MY aoty#beyonce is well overdue for an aoty and even if i haven't listened to it as much cowboy carter is a super impressive album#chappell is an interesting one because the album only barely scrapes in for eligibility this year#and honestly idk if i'd actually say the album as a whole has had a huge impact but so many of the individual songs have soooo.#hoping for chappell to win bna either way#ttpd... i'm a swiftie so I wouldn't be MAD but i do think giving it to her again would be overdoing it also the album isn't one of her best#i would love to see sabrina win roty for espresso but i don't think that short n sweet is an aoty worthy album#billie i adore her but hmhas is her weakest album and i don't think she needs a grammy for it when she's won before for better albums#no shade to the ones grouped in ''the others'' i genuinely just do not know them so have no opinion 🫶

So I realized a while back I had this internalized nagging resentment towards Beyoncé and the beehive and I think it's coming down to a few factors that piled up over time. And none of those have anything to do with Beyonce herself but everything to do with her fanbase.

Oh shit! Billboard calling out the Grammy's? Taylor is really preparing to have history bury her awards down the drain with all this shit she's pulling. She'll be like all those statues of supposedly great white men but being destroyed today. In 20 years, people would be seeing all these things about Taylor and be like, 'Erase her!!!'
She should withdraw from the Grammys from now on. That really would be the humble and gracious thing to do.

I'm thrilled that midnights won AOTY but also sad, because if TTPD turns out to be the fantastic album it already teases it is, we will have to live with the fact that it stands no chance of winning AOTY so shortly after her last win
