to me, this episode was a perfect example of how evil works as a series. like yeah, sure, ben could worry about whether what he saw in the field was real, but why should he worry about that when he could just report on the issue that he knows is real?

maybe the demon pig was real and attacked him. maybe the jinn is real. but as the audience, we should be far more concerned with what ben finds concerning in this episode, so that becomes its overall narrative conclusion. we shouldn't worry about demon pigs, we should worry about farms feeding dead pigs back to their livestock just so they can increase their profits.

— the argument of "i think we have bigger issues than [blank]" is actually so tired. multiple things can be true at the same time. i say this because i've seen the reactions towards those who've made the same statements as i have in the above, and yes, there are worse issues than fetishizers, or whatever else is being discussed, but that doesn't make it less of a problem.

At the risk of people getting the wrong idea, I can't get over these hands

Just look at how much Genos's hands have changed between when we first see him in chapter 5 and now.

The first set looks more like an amateur garage project. Look at it: no armour, the internals visible, open joints on the fingers, permanently open hole in the palm, minimal affordances for the fingers -- they can bend and straighten but not a lot more, and what seems to be a glorified flame thrower.

And now, just look at the difference. Completely armored, joints closed, minimizing both pinch points and places where fluids can ingress, palm port opened and closed with an iris mechanism, fingers have additional jointing at their bases allowing them to swivel and thumb has additional segment to compensate for the stiffness of the palm. And of course, what spews out is pure murder rays.

I could grumble about not having exactly the same view, but well done Murata for improving your dramatic poses!
