darks, i remember the day you followed me Vividly because i was sitting in a dark auditorium and i literally could not believe it when i saw your url and i couldn’t stop smiling like an absolute idiot afterwards because i had been admiring you from afar and to have the honor of you as my mutual??? it was too much for me to handle. i kept looking down at my phone and grinning. and now we have like three different verses for jo and riff and i think about them daily. i love reading your messages and rambling to you about our muses and rereading our threads because i have such a love for your writing and characterization and everything you say honestly. i adore your passion for your muses. i’ve said before but i’ll say it again: you are The west side story expert. you have such a strong grasp the era and the psychology of these characters. you don’t just brush them off as something or other. you explore them. you build upon them. you make them into people i can absolutely be convinced exist. i thought i loved wss before but then you came along with all your information and headcanons and just your passion and now i’m writing a muse from it. my heart literally flip flops when i see you on the dash. i didn’t know that was possible! but then we became mutuals and it can. don’t know if anything from this ramble makes any sense at all but i need to gush about you every chance i have.

You flatter me, you honestly do. Truth be told I sat there for a long time just oogling your blog because of the love and care you gave to Johanna, let alone Sweeny Todd as a whole. I just fell more and more in love as I scrolled through your blog because Finally, someone else was doing what I wanted to do: look at the musical beyond the entertainment value. You took this musical and said " sure its a slasher musical, but look at its relevancy and how it treats specific aspects of characters and plot lines in relation to what still is going on today. It's more than a slasher, its relevant". I didn't know there was a whole history to the show. LEGIT THE LEVEL OF RESPECT i have for your writing is off the charts. I was blown away. I still am.

and I thought I'd take a chance because I'd gotten a lot of nos when I came to finding writing partners. I didn't think you'd follow me back because I was so enamored by your blog and like, i'm just little me. I got asked several times before to tone down the anti-american sentiments and frequent dashboard rambles about the era's rampant racism( and depicting racism within some of the muses on here), colonialism, and imperialism. i guess its hard to talk about poverty in fiction when so much of it is in real life.

much to my surprise you followed me back and man have i enjoyed the ride. You've stuck around for my hyperfixative rambles and I will always be here for yours because its just so much fun. I think that's what I love about our friendship and writing together most. We have fun! And I look forward to all of our adventures in the New Year, too :)

it's really strange to see the pen pal app i've been using on and off for years get so popular all of a sudden (within the last year). it's definitely nice to have a bigger userbase but also like any "make friends online" place if you don't adjust your settings and filters and tailor your experience then yeah you're probably going to be messaged by some internet weirdo looking for sex. and i don't think the new userbase is aware that they can do this.

How doth thou art so good?

Do nothing but draw your ocs for 10+ years, being a cringy child but being free, start a webcomic you're not prepared for that forces you to draw things you wouldn't normally on a regular basis, occasionally stopping to get into fan content that does the same, and have no other hobbies so your default day is comprised of 10 hours of drawing your ocs looking like the most pathetic wet cats imaginable and then post it online for 7 notes

Masquerade Riddle has my entire heart! I always imagine him waltzing on rooftops and following his beloved through the night, like a rizzed up V (v for Vendetta) and causing destruction ( read: bringing Order ) to everyone that gets in the way of him getting to his beloved! 🥵

On thats Note! Masquerade Tako my beloved! I was honestly not expecting him to give off so much rizz in his outfit, I feel like his cards are always very good but there’s always a hint of ‘pathetic babygirl’ in them, but for some reason in his masquerade card I just get ‘slimy suitor out to steal your heart by any means possible’ (which is an excellent and addictive addition, may I add 😤)

Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on them, how has your week been so far? Staying healthy I hope!

YES, THAT IS EXACTLY THE VISION!!! OTL omg and maybe he’s a little devious, too. Waltzing with you on the rooftop and lowering you into a dip and your foot catches on a roof tile, but he’d never let you fall (he says he could, though, and it’s a very morbid jest) but he holds firm and !!!! >_< framed by moonlight and with an air of anonymity, and he has such a cheeky smirk on his face. AAAA it’s such a good image to think of! This version of Riddle is just so lovely. <3 the sly type who can have a confidence boost when cloaked in a mask and swathed in starlight.

Aaaa masquerade Azul… ♡( ´▽｀) there’s something about him that has me swooning. I’ll admit when I first saw his card many months ago the breath was punched out of me. I was thinking, is this really Azul????? He’s just so rizzy for once and it was a welcome surprise. I was happy to place him as my laptop background image hehe (although birthday Azuzu has now taken residence there). You’re so right when you say he gives off slimy suitor vibes. It’s the smirk and that lofty smugness he exudes! He wouldn’t have to do too much to win my affections. Unfortunately, I would fold so very quickly. orz it would be too easy. I never knew I needed masquerade Azul until he appeared and aaaaa I am so blessed he’s an SSR. >0<

After breakfast, August decided to briefly retire to his room, just to collect himself before returning to the company of his family, who were gathering in the attic to peacefully enjoy the rest of their morning, a way to unwind after their conversation in the graveyard: He looked forward to it, he looked forward to taking that first real step towards leaving the past behind and living in the moment with his family, but he still needed this moment to himself.

Standing in the bathroom mirror, splashing his face with some cool water, he sighed heavily as he looked at himself, replaying his family's words over and over in his head: The past was in the past. We've made peace with what happened. We have all eternity to be together, and we'd rather spend it happy than resentful.

All wise words from the younger generations, but still a hard pill to swallow. He'd spent so long resenting himself for his addiction, and the ripple effect it had had on his wife and daughter...it was hard to conceive, being able to move forward, even with these words of encouragement from his family. It wasn't that he didn't want to be happy, of course, he wanted to be content, to accept the past and embrace the future (especially when the future meant being with his family again), but...

He was just sighing and toweling off his face when he heard something from the door-peeking out of the bathroom, he saw a piece of paper slid onto the floor, a drawing, he realized, as he picked it up. An endearingly messy drawing of himself and his great-grandchildren, standing together outside of the mansion, the Crayola messages innocently wishing him well and assuring him that they loved him-clearly, a joint effort by Lon and Erika.

August smiled at the drawing, careful not to shed any tears on it as he set it on the nightstand before leaving his and Josephine's room, and heading up to the attic, his old dead heart soothed by such earnest, childish encouragements.

The past was in the past-it was hard to let go, there was no denying that, but with the people he loved believing in him so strongly...

...it didn't seem that way anymore.

Guys I’m not answering anymore hate lol, I humoured one to get out steam but it’s really not that deep. Sorry (I’m not) if my response offended you but you’re literally sending me hate for a Naruto poll on tumblr dot com. It’s sad, really. It is not my fault if the women get voted out. I genuinely tried to set them up for the best chances of success with where they COULD be placed. I have to follow seeding rules based on how many submissions each character gets. Don’t send me asks saying that the poll itself is biased, that’s on you guys. The reasons COME from the things you guys said in submissions. I obviously submitted Yahiko so I added a lot because he’s important to me (and the other Yahiko submitters). Lots of other submitters added paragraphs, but it’s not my fault Ino wasn’t one of them. I do NOT add to any submissions other than the characters I chose to submit. Try not to take a Naruto poll on tumblr so seriously/personally. Take a breather.
