late night gaming
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i.n x gn!reader – fluff ; gamer!jeongin ; college au
word count – 1.1k
a/n – i’ve been hoping to write something like this ever since i found out that i.n plays overwatch… it’s one of my favorite games and i like to imagine how fun it would be to get to game with him (and the other members of skz of course) also lmk if y’all would be interested in a pt 2!
Tumblr media
Late into the night, bluish-purple light seeps under the doorway of your bedroom. Every now and then, flashes of varying colors find their way into the mix. Your fingers move swiftly over your keyboard and mouse as your character turns in-game, taking shots at the enemy team. The payload is so close to creeping into the final point when–
Your character falls to the ground. You’ve been eliminated by fnncfx on Widowmaker. You hit your desk lightly with your fist, frustrated. “How did they even hit me? I swear I was behind that wall in time,” you mutter, watching the kill feed. You sigh and continue, exiting the spawn and getting back into the fight. Less than a minute later, it happens again. The same fnncfx gets a headshot, taking you out once more, just as quickly as you rejoined the battle.
The more it happens, the more frustrated you feel. Hoping to end the infuriating cycle, you switch to Sombra. If they’re going to keep targeting you, it’s only fair you do the same! You track down the Widowmaker and swiftly eliminate them. Within seconds, a message pops up in match chat:
fnncfx: counterswap? kinda weird
You roll your eyes and choose to ignore it. The game goes on for another minute or two, and you help your team by eliminating the Widowmaker at least twice more. As the timer runs out, your team finally completes the objective, and the word “Victory!” plasters itself across the screen. Before the game ends, you notice a small string of messages in the match chat:
fnncfx: ggs, except sombra fnncfx: i know ur mad i kept killing you lol
In a fit of frustration, you click on their profile and press the “add friend” button. You don’t really need to, but you want to talk to them and explain yourself. Almost as soon as you do, they add you back. You invite them to your group, eager to express your frustration. They accept and join in.
“You know I had to switch characters so you would stop eliminating me, right? You didn’t have to be such a jerk about it,” you huff, leaning towards your monitor.
There’s a pause. You stare at your screen, face illuminated by the glow. Why aren’t they responding yet? Did something go wrong?
“...Is this y/n?” he finally says, breaking the silence. As he speaks, your heart drops into your stomach. You recognize that voice instantly. It’s Jeongin– the cute guy from your math class. What is he doing playing this game? How did you end up in the same lobby? Your mind races. You’ve admired Jeongin from afar all semester- he’s the one you glance at in class, hoping he’ll notice you. And now here he is, in the same game, talking to you. Getting lost in your own thoughts, you almost forget to respond.
“I- uh- yes, hi! Oh my gosh, I didn’t- I didn’t think I’d run into you in this game! I’m so sorry, I hope I didn’t come across as rude or- or anything…” You stumble over your words, your voice trailing off as you put your face in your hands. You feel like you’ve seriously messed up.
He laughs.
He laughs.
You look up, your face warm. Despite the circumstances, you can’t help but think about how absolutely cute that sounded.
“I didn’t know you played this game, that’s actually pretty cool,” he says, his voice reminding you of liquid gold. It sounds warm and soothing, just like how you remember hearing it in class.
“Yeah, I’ve had it for a while. I don’t play much stuff like this, but I guess this game is just different.” You shrug, leaning back into your chair a little bit. Knowing he isn’t upset as of this moment brings you a bit more peace.
“Would you maybe… want to play a few games as a duo?”
Your eyes light up. He actually wants to play with you? He wasn’t going to ditch you immediately?
You don’t even wait a moment before giving him a confident “That would be amazing!”
The two of you play through a few matches and do rather well, especially since he’s quite good at the game. You both find yourselves having a great time, giggling at the characters who seem to have no idea what is going on. You work together to take down enemy team after enemy team, barely losing any games.
After some time, you can hear him let out a sharp sigh. “I hate to do this to you, especially because I’m enjoying this so much, but I think I have to get going. My roommate Felix says he needs me to run it back in some scrimmages; I forgot I told him yesterday that I’d help out with that. I hope that’s alright…” He goes quiet, clearly disappointed to have some prior commitment.
You frown, but aren’t too surprised. Of course someone as talented as him would be on some sort of gaming team. “For sure, that’s okay! I still had a great time; I would love to do this again, if you’d be down for that.”
“Yeah, totally! Why don’t you write down my number, and I’ll text you when I have time to do this again.”
You can feel your face turning red at the idea of getting his number. This is someone you’ve admired from afar all semester, and now he wants to talk to you more. You feel like you’re in the clouds right now, your head spinning.
He tells you the digits of his phone number and you swiftly enter them into your phone, then send him a text so he knows yours as well.
“Okay, well you have a goodnight, y/n! It was great talking to you.” You can hear him smiling on the other side of his screen, and you can’t help but wonder if he’s blushing too. After he leaves the group, you log off out of the game and turn off your computer. You stand up from your chair and fall back onto your bed, wrapping yourself in the sheets. Giddy laughter escapes as you kick your feet in excitement. The thought that the most attractive boy in your class just gave you his number swirls in your mind, like a dream you never want to end. It still feels so surreal that he seems to at least tolerate- if not actually like- someone like you. As you hold your phone close to your chest, you slowly drift away into a deep sleep, dreaming of what could come of this newfound friendship, or maybe something more…

Ugh
Monday
It’s easily the worst day of the week. You just spent the past few days off and relaxing, spending time with family and friends; going out or staying in with a good movie or book to occupy your mind.
But Monday started the week, the first day back and with no ending in sight. The misery that accompanies waking up at 5:30 on a Monday morning rivaled nothing.
Except for maybe the hatred you had accumulated for Jeon Jungkook.
You hadn’t always hated Monday’s to this extreme. I mean sure, like everyone else, you didn’t enjoy them or look forward to them, but they were just another day before.
Not until you started working at your new job, an internship at the most reputable local law firm in the area; where Jungkook had been a partner, and a damn good one at that.
He was good at his job, sure, but god was he cocky. Anyone that hired him had to pay big money, but they knew they were walking away with whatever they wanted.
And you, the pretty little intern fresh out of law school, just happened to fall victim to the man's ego.
Most interns aren’t taken too seriously, they get coffee and make runs, sometimes they’ll be assigned with a bigger lawyer to help organize cases, and only after they’ve proven themselves will they get a case of their own.
You, however, managed to prove yourself pretty quickly, or so you thought, whenever you’d been assigned to assist Jungkook in a case.
You read through everything while helping him get everything organized one night, and noticed something that he hadn’t; the alibi for one of the suspects didn’t check out, as a time-stamped video proved he was not only not where he said he was, but on the complete other side of the country.
When you told Jungkook, he took all the credit. He said you helped, of course, but he was the one that obviously found the error, and won that case.
And then it happened a second time. And a third, until Jungkook just insisted that you needed to be his little assistant, since you were so good at helping him stay organized so that he could focus on what was actually important.
There was nothing you could do, really. The highest paid lawyer with the most cases won in the state, and you, someone who’s less than a year out of college and barely old enough to be taken seriously. There’s only one person they’d believe; and it’s your word against his.
Not to mention he was just an asshole.
“Goodmorning, Y/n. Have a good weekend?” Jungkook’s voice had a teasing tone to it, knowing just how much you hated having to work with him at this point; something he seemed to really enjoy.
You glared over at him before you set your stuff down at your desk, which was now pushed into the corner of his office, per his request. He chuckled as you looked away from him, your exasperated sigh music to his ears as you plopped down in your seat.
“I had a great weekend, thanks for asking. Well, I assume I did. I got drunk on Friday and woke up this morning, not remembering a goddamn thing the whole time. Did wake up with a few hickies though, so someone had fun,” Asshole.
While he had plenty reason to be cocky because of his career, he was also cocky because of his looks, and because of the women they earned him. If you didn’t work for him, you in all honesty probably would have thrown yourself at him by now. You even remember being nervous the first time you were appointed to work with him because he was just so attractive.
That really wore off fast, though.
He was still hot, sure, but he was also the most infuriating person ever.
“So I’m assuming you didn’t have time to go over the case you have this afternoon?” You didn’t bother looking at him as you took some papers out of your briefcase, something your family had gotten you as a graduation present to help you look more official.
“No, but I’m lucky my lovely assistant no doubt already has everything organized and ready for me,” You stood up from your desk, a folder with his copy of everything he needed to walk into the courtroom in a few hours, barring his own personal notes about arguments he needs to make and points to drive his argument home.
“I’m not your assistant,” You dropped the folder on his desk before you marched your way back to yours, arms crossed over your chest.
The trial Jungkook had to attend today was for the defense of a man accused of killing his wife. It was obvious he did it; and even if he didn’t, it really looked like he did. His alibi was that he was camping in the woods with his brother, who testified for him, but that doesn’t offer much to the court seeing as family is never a reputable source when it comes to an alibi.
He also already had a record, petty theft and a few DUI’s. All non-violent crimes, but it still doesn’t play very well in his favor.  There’s also a history of affairs according to friend and family testimony from both the victim and accused.
At his bail hearing, he practically fucked himself when we regretfully put him on the stand. He showed no emotion, and forgot his cover story half-way through.
“Oh yeah, this guy. What argument should I use?” You sighed, hating to give him the answers, but knowing that when applying to other firms, a history of wins, even if while partnered with a more experienced lawyer, could only be a bonus.
“Someone else’s fingerprints were on the murder weapon, but his weren’t, and there was no evidence that he, or anyone, cleaned it off. He’s been having an affair with a woman named Joan Roberts. She’s going to be there today, and I’ve already asked her, she’s willing to testify that she was with him the night of the murder; you just need to convince him before we go in to break down on the stand and confess the truth: he lied previously because he felt so bad about cheating on his wife during her murder,” You paused to take a sip of your coffee, before you turned your attention back to the papers in front of you.
“Drive home the murder weapon and act surprised when he breaks down on the stand; question him just thoroughly enough that it’s believable that you drilling him while also getting him out of there before he fucks himself into a life sentence, then call his mistress up. She seems a lot smarter than him but I’d be cautious of asking her too much. There’s a list of questions I have written out for both of them, along with questions to ask his brother if he bitches out of admitting to the affair,”
Even Jungkook seemed impressed, an emotion he rarely showed while working with you. Most of the time, you just came to the same conclusions he would’ve; he’s still an amazing lawyer, he just found a way to not have to work as hard: and that’s you.
He stood up from his desk and walked over to you, the case folder still in his hand.
“Thanks babe,” He leaned down and swiftly kissed the top of your head, moving away quickly so as to avoid your clenched fist flying toward his face.
-
“Not guilty.”
The courtroom filled with chatter as the jury read their verdict, the judge hammering her gavel while the defense team all stood and celebrated with sweaty hugs and swift handshakes. You simply stood and exited, taking your things with you.
It was the end of a long day, and you were looking forward to going home.
“Y/n, wait!” You turned around after you were already halfway down the courthouses front steps; maybe 30 feet away from your car that could take you home, to your stand-offish cat and extremely comfortable bed. “Why don’t you come out with us tonight?” You looked at him suspiciously, his lip clutched between his teeth as he teetered back and forth from his heels to his toes. Why does he look like that?
“Why would I want to do that?” You turned fully to face him, arms crossed over your chest and your hip cocked out to the side.
“Because we just won what looked like an impossible case, and you definitely helped with that,”
“Helped?” He smiled lightly at your aggravated tone, before he descended the steps so he could stand closer to you.
“Okay, okay, you did all the work, but that’s why I think you should come celebrate with us. Just tonight, I’ll even pay for your drinks,” You thought for a moment, never really having been a person to turn down free drinks - well, free anything, actually.
“Fine, only for an hour though; then I’m going home,” You turned back around and continued down the steps, making a b-line for your car.
-
You stepped into the moderately crowded bar wearing the shortest black dress you owned, the plunging neckline really making sure everyone had their eyes on you.
“Damn, Y/n. You know you look really good outside of a pantsuit?” You plastered on a sarcastic smile, turning to see Jungkook; who you hated to admit looked damn good.
“Where’s my free drink?” The smirk on his face only grew wider as he raised his hands in defense, slowly backing up towards the bar.
“Hey, Kev, get my friend one of your finest alcohol beverages, please,” You rolled your eyes.
“A beer please, whatever you have on tap,” He nodded and walked away, only staying gone for a few short moments before reappearing with a full drink in his hands. “Thanks.”
“What do you even do in your free time? You never come out with us, and you showed up alone, which tells me you don’t have a man-”
“I prefer to spend my time being productive rather than getting shitfaced on a Monday night,” He smirked, taking a sip of his drink.
“So no boyfriend, then?” You sighed before taking a drink, probably a bit more than you needed for having just gotten there.
“Why do you want to know, Jeon?” He raised his hands in defense again, not doing a very good job at hiding his attraction to you from his face.
“Hey, I’m just making small talk,” He shook his head lightly, his cheeks tinted pink from the alcohol he’d already consumed. He leaned against the side of the bar you were now sitting at, his eyes moving all over your face, taking in each of your features carefully before moving on to the next. He’d always known you were pretty, but here, dressed like that and with a few drinks in his system, he could swear he’d never seen anything more beautiful in his life.
“Why don’t you go away and come back in 5 minutes when I need a new drink,” He chuckled, letting his head fall slightly in defeat before he pushed himself from the counter and did what you asked.
-
“Oh wow, didn’t think they made lawyers this hot,” You chuckled at his response, his hand drawing patterns into your thigh as he stood in front of you, you sitting backwards of the stool to face him, drink in hand.
He wasn’t relationship material, by any means, but he’d do for the night. You had a lot of pent-up stress, and he could probably help out with that. Not to mention, Jungkook watching you leave with some random guy would probably knock him down a few pegs.
“Mmm, and I didn’t know they made people as pretty as you this bad at flirting,” He feigned hurt, hand not slowly moving up the outside of your leg moved to clutch his chest before his smirk resumed, and his hand moved to the bar, effectively pinning you between it and him.
“I might be bad at flirting, but let me show you something I’m good at,” his face was centimeters from yours, his fingers moving under your dress before they were abruptly ripped away from you, along with the rest of him. “What the hell, man?”
Jungkook was in the man's face, both taller and bigger than him as he stared him down.
“She’s not interested, go find someone else to hump,” His voice was so low you barely heard him, his eyes dark and muscles flexed as anger coursed through him.
“Uh, she seemed pretty interested to me,” Jungkook pushed him, he pushed him hard. He stumbled back into a table, knocking over everything on it and causing a few people to jump up.
You stood from your seat, no longer amused by the show in front of you.
“What the fuck, Jungkook? What are you trying to do?” Jungkook turned back to look at you as you pulled on his arm, trying to get him to focus on anything other than the guy that he seemed about ready to beat the shit out of.
“Hey, all of you, out.”
You glared over at Jungkook as you grabbed your bag. You shot down the rest of your drink before you turned to walk out of the building along with the two men who seemed to be fighting over you, the security making sure you all get out.
You opened your phone as soon as you were outside, opening the uber app as you were not about to drive home in your state.
“I’ll drive you home,” You looked up to see Jungkook, a lot calmer than just minutes before with his hands in his pockets and his hair blowing around in the wind.
“No thanks,”
“Y/n-”
“Aren’t you drunk?” He sighed, looking you up and down.
“I stopped drinking after you got here,” you furrowed your eyebrows.
“Why would you do something like that?”
“Do you want the ride or not?” You looked at him for a moment before you sighed and straightened yourself out, turning toward him, accepting his offer.
-
You stopped outside of your building, Jungkook’s car shutting off as you unbuckled your seatbelt. You looked over at him as he clicked his off too, and opened his door.
“What are you doing?”
“You live in a shitty neighborhood, I’m making sure you don’t get murdered on the way up.”
“That’s fine, I literally do this everyday,” Jungkook rolled his eyes and got out of the car before he leaned back down to look at you.
“Just get out of the car,” You huffed but obliged, not really wanting to stay in it anyway.
You walked into the building and got into the elevator, which had a ways up to go before you got to your floor.
“Is there a reason you decided to fight people?” You asked, the bravery from the alcohol still coursing through your veins, even now as you felt mostly sober. He sighed heavily, leaning his back against the wall.
“I don’t really want to talk about it,” you scoffed, turning your body to face him fully.
“Well that matters not at all, why the fuck did you feel the need to do that?”
“I just didn’t like that guy, all right? He seemed sketchy,” His voice was raised as he answered, hands moving around with no real rhyme or reason.
“He wasn’t, and even if he was, so are most guys you meet in bars on a Monday at 8pm,”
“Yeah, no shit, that’s why I didn’t want that guy knowing where you lived or you going back to his place, that just has bad idea written all over it, Y/n,”
“And? What gives you the right to make my decisions for me? You spend most of your time making my life a living hell and bragging about all the women you take home but I’m not allowed to go home with someone?” You were definitely yelling at this point, and the elevator doors were definitely open and on your floor.
“No, you’re not!” He yelled back, and it honestly had you taken back a little bit. You scoffed before you stepped out of the elevator and started walking back to your apartment.
“Y/n!” He followed you out of the elevator, walking just as briskly and angrily as you.
“Why the fuck not?” You yelled, spinning around just in front of your door before you were pushed against it, strong arms closing you in and lips smothering yours in a way that you’d never experienced before.
You were pissed, sure, but there was something that turned you on about being pressed up against your front door by the extremely hot man that regularly pissed you off to no end.
You were quickly tangled together, one of your legs hiked up as he gripped your ass, his hips pushing you back into the door as he bit your lip, his tongue soothing it after before it quickly entered between your parted lips.
“Keys,” He muttered against you after trying to open your locked door, his lips glued to your neck as you rummaged through your purse to find them.
You quickly unlocked your door and rushed in, Jungkook quickly shoving you back against it to close it. You kicked your shoes off before he pulled your thighs up to wrap around his waist, your arms wrapped around his neck to hold you steady as he unbuckled his belt and pushed your panties to the side.
Less than sixty seconds ago you were screaming at each other in an elevator, now he was sliding his admittedly massive dick into you while biting down on the base of your neck.
“Fuck, princess, you’re so fucking wet,” You moaned lightly into his ear, his words and dick filling you perfectly as he fucked into you at a steady pace. His hands gripped your ass as his mouth left sloppy wet kisses on any exposed skin he could reach. “If fighting with me turns you on this much, I can only imagine the state you're in at work.”
His thrusts speed up as your pussy swallows him whole, your fingers tangling in his hair and pulling it back, bringing his gaze to meet yours.
“Do you want to fuck me or piss me off?” His smirk returns as he watches you hold back moans as he hits your g-spot roughly, the door shaking behind you so hard anyone in the hallway would definitely know what’s going on.
“Both,” He pushed you further into the door, re-adjust himself to have a better grip on you before he pulled you away from it, legs still wrapped around him and his dick still in you. He turned around and walked straight over to your couch still fucking into you.
You fall back onto your couch, Jungkook on top on you, dick thrusting furiously as his fingers wrapped snugly around your throat.
“You’re so fucking pretty when you’re mad,” His free hand moved up your dress and cupped your breast, pinching your nipple and pulling it just as roughly as he fucks you. “Jesus christ, I don’t know how I’ve gone this long without bending you over my desk,” you moaned loudly, both hands gripping to the arm that held your throat as your eyes rolled back into your head.
He pounded into you relentlessly, your pussy clenched around him as his dick begged you to cum. His fingers moved to be around your clit, pinching and circling it as he felt you nearing your orgasm.
“You’re so good when you’re getting fucked, y’know that, baby?” You moaned as he thrust harder, his skilled fingers taking care of you easily, your orgasm overtaking you before he could even finish his thought. His pace slowed down considerably as he rode you through your high, fingers still moving for a few seconds before they moved to his mouth to be cleaned off, then to cup your cheek.
“Just lay there and look pretty while I make you feel good,” Jungkook’s thrusts stopped as your orgasm subsided, your pussy still clenching around his dick that was still buried inside you. His lips were on yours with sloppy kisses, much slower than before; this time they almost felt as if they had depth to them, like they had feelings aside from desire and loathing. “Want me to make you feel good again, princess?”
His hand rested on your chin, his thumb rubbing it as he looked back and forth between your eyes. You nodded softly, a soft ‘yeah’ escaping your lips as you looked at him the same way.
“Yeah?” His voice soft as he mimicked you, making sure you wanted him to. You did.
“Yeah,” though your words were inaudible to you, he must’ve heard them as his lips found yours again before he pulled out, and thrust back in hard and deep, deeper than he had been before.
He fucked you differently this time. With less desperation and more compassion, his hands dancing across your skin delicately as he stripped you of your dress; his lips gently gliding across your burning skin as it became exposed to him before meeting yours again. He kissed you with passion, taking time to really drink you in as his hands caressed every part of you he could reach, as if he had to replicate you completely from memory later on.
His hips moved with purpose, gliding in and out with rhythm and at a deliciously deep angle that he could feel how much you liked.
“So beautiful,” the words whispered in your ear, his hot breath tingled against you, sending shivers everywhere. “So good for me,” he moaned before kissing the skin below your ear, soft whimpers embedded in the back of his throat as he sent you over the edge for a second time, this orgasm much more powerful than the last; and his followed soon after.
Your bodies collapsed into each other, no longer having the strength to hold yourselves up anymore. His head laid on your chest as you gently brushed your fingers through his hair. Sleep soon came over you, the heat from Jungkook’s body covering you accompanied with the overwhelming sense of peace that followed your orgasm had no problem in knocking you out.
Your soft snores only made Jungkook smile before he reluctantly pushed himself off of you. He moved the hair from your face, seeing you look so peaceful was something he wasn’t very used to seeing, but something he definitely wouldn’t mind becoming acquainted with.
He got up and redressed himself, before scooping you up in his arms and carrying you back to your bedroom. As he laid you down and pulled the blankets over you, he wanted nothing more than to crawl in with you and drift off the peaceful land you’d already found yourself to be a part of, but he decided against it.
He knew that if you’d wake up with him in your bed, it’d make you weird. You wouldn’t insult him, call him an idiot and tell him off. You’d be awkward, which he had to admit, he definitely missed from your early days at the firm, but it wasn’t the you he’d grown to respect and admire.
So he left, knowing that the next day you’d walk into the office as if nothing happened. He’d be cocky, you’d get mad, and he could finally bend you over that desk like he’s always wanted.

enough is enough!
summary: after being evicted from ur house, u move in with ur best friend yeonjun...who was also ur ex...things get a little wild after u realised that ur ex is a slob!! anger gets to the best of the two of u so he suggests ~something spicy~ to end the fighting! friends w benefits...but.........someones always bound to get hurt right?
genre: suggestive, no smut rly
characters: soobin x f!reader, fwb!yeonjun x f!reader, friends!txt
words: 8059
warnings: kinda suggestive! mentions of sex!!!
a/n: based on a himym ep i just watched hehe lol
“And you’re sure you’re okay with me moving in?” you asked, glancing up at Yeonjun, a hint of hesitation in your voice.
“Yeah, come on, it’ll be fun! Just like old times,” he grinned, the corners of his eyes crinkling.
“The old times? You mean when we were dating?” you said, rolling your eyes, half-amused, half-wary.
“Y’know, some people, knowingly Taehyun, might call this a bad idea, but we’re friends. Best friends even,” he insisted, emphasising the last part with a confident nod.
“I just don’t want anything to happen between us,” you confessed, your voice tinged with a quiet concern.
“And it won’t.”
“Promise?”
Yeonjun nodded earnestly, “Promise.”
That promise lasted a month and a half before the two of you started getting on each other’s nerves.
To you, Yeonjun was the biggest slob on Earth—leaving small wrappers scattered around the living room, dirty cups abandoned on the coffee table, and worst of all, never using a coaster, a pet peeve that drove you mad.
On the other hand, from Yeonjun’s perspective, you were just as annoying—finishing the last bit of cereal without replacing it, taking the last of the milk and leaving the jug empty, and never bothering to replace the toilet roll. To him, it was like living with a miniature hurricane of small, infuriating habits.
“Fuck!” he groaned, yelling your name, marching out of the kitchen with the empty milk jug in hand. He shoved it in front of you, irritation evident on his face, while you sat on the couch, absorbed in your laptop, trying to catch up on work.
“Oh, like you didn’t leave a whole bunch of disgusting, unwashed cups on the coffee table that I had to clean last night?” you shot back, barely glancing up, your tone sharp with annoyance.
“You wanna play that game? Fine,” he huffed, folding his arms. “What about the Lucky Charms you polished off yesterday? Where’s the replacement you promised to get after work?”
And just like that, the bickering began. It didn’t make sense; the two of you dated a year or two ago, and back then, you practically lived at his place without any issues. You never fought like this. In fact, the relationship had ended on good terms, simply because you both wanted different things in life—no drama, no animosity.
Despite its short span of a year, you’d always considered it a successful relationship, one that left no lingering bitterness. But now, living together as friends, the constant arguing felt strange, like you were suddenly strangers, navigating a new and messy dynamic you never expected.
“STOP!” you yelled, cutting off Yeonjun’s rant mid-sentence. You were partly tired of listening to him, but mostly just eager to get back to your work. “We need to stop.”
“I know. This is getting exhausting,” Yeonjun agreed, his voice softer now, the frustration giving way to weariness. “You’re my best friend. I don’t want us fighting over stupid stuff like this.”
“We dated before. We lived together. And we never fought like this,” you pointed out, confusion lacing your words.
“I know…” Yeonjun sighed, running a hand through his hair in exasperation. “You know what it is?”
“What?”
“It’s the sex,” he said, almost too casually.
“What?”
“It’s the physical intimacy. It cancels out all this crap,” he explained, gesturing to the empty milk jug still on the counter.
You laughed, a mix of disbelief and amusement. “You’re joking.”
“Think about it!” he pressed, his tone playful yet surprisingly sincere. “Really…Think about it.”
Part of you wanted to dismiss it as sheer stupidity, but another part of you couldn’t help but acknowledge the truth in his words. Maybe it really was the physical intimacy that had always smoothed over the little annoyances, melting away any potential anger before it even started.
“So, what are you saying? We should have sex so we wouldn’t be fighting?” you teased, a playful grin spreading across your face.
Yeonjun chuckled, shaking his head. “Of course not! I was just making an observation.”
An awkward silence settled between you as the reality of the conversation hung in the air. You exchanged a glance, both unsure of what to make of this odd suggestion.
“That’s such a crazy idea,” you said, breaking the silence, though your voice wavered between disbelief and something else—something far more tempting.
You weren’t sure how it happened, but within minutes, you and Yeonjun had stumbled into the bedroom, pulled together by a sudden, undeniable desperation. His lips crashed against yours, and soon the two of you were tangled in an all-too-familiar routine you hadn’t revisited in over a year.
An hour later, you lay side by side, your bodies still pressed close, skin against skin, the weight of what had just happened settling in.
“Well… I definitely didn’t think I’d be doing that with you today,” you laughed, still catching your breath.
Yeonjun smirked, raising an eyebrow. “You’ve learned some new moves, haven’t you?”
“So have you, good sir!” you scoffed, playfully shoving his shoulder, but your cheeks flushed with warmth.
A pause lingered as you both stared at the ceiling, the air thick with unspoken thoughts.
“So…” Yeonjun began, his voice trailing off.
“So…” you echoed, not quite sure how to finish the sentence, but feeling the weight of everything that had shifted between you.
“Listen, if we’re gonna do this, then we’re gonna do it right. No feelings involved. This is purely just to keep our friendship intact.” Yeonjun said firmly, laying down the ground rules as he sat up in bed.
You nodded in agreement. “Of course. And we keep it a secret.”
“No one should, or will, know,” Yeonjun reiterated, his tone serious.
“But I do,” a voice interrupted.
Both of your heads snapped toward the door, where Taehyun stood, eyes wide with shock, clutching a bucket of popcorn like he was watching the most dramatic twist of a movie.
“What are you doing here?!” you and Yeonjun yelled in unison, scrambling to pull up the sheets.
“It’s movie night,” Taehyun replied, still stunned but clearly amused. “But it appears I’m in the movie.”
“What’s with all the screami—GOODNESS. COVER UP!” Beomgyu yelled, his face turning red as he stumbled backward, eyes wide at the sight of you and Yeonjun tangled up in bed.
“We are!” Yeonjun shot back, yanking the sheets higher. “The door was locked!”
“I have a key,” Beomgyu smirked, dangling it tauntingly.
“So, what is this? Are you guys back together or something? Should we pop the champagne?” he teased, then turned to Kai. “Also, you owe me 20 bucks, Kai.”
“Aw man,” Kai grumbled, reluctantly fishing into his pocket for his wallet.
“No!” you shouted, still clutching the blanket to your chest. “No one is getting back together.”
“So what is this, then?” Beomgyu asked, gesturing dramatically at the two of you, confusion and amusement mingling on his face.
“We’re just… under an agreement,” Yeonjun explained, though his voice wavered slightly under the weight of the stares.
“An agreement?” Taehyun raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms. “What kind of messed-up agreement is this?”
“Hey, this isn’t all that bad!” Yeonjun defended, trying to lighten the tension. “We might be pioneers!”
“Pioneers?” Kai scoffed, rolling his eyes. “I hardly think sleeping with your ex-girlfriend is groundbreaking news.”
The two of you were abruptly yanked out of bed, barely given a moment to gather yourselves. Taehyun tossed a large shirt at you, his expression stern.
“We need to talk.”
“We don’t need to talk. This is between Yeonjun and me,” you snapped back, pulling the oversized shirt over your half-naked body.
Taehyun was your best friend. You were the closest to him among the rest of them. He was fiercely protective, with your stupidity, you needed someone like him.
“And what happens between you and Yeonjun affects the rest of us,” Taehyun argued, his frustration palpable.
You hated to admit that what Taehyun said was right. The six of you were obnoxiously close and you didn’t want anything bad to happen to any of you.
“It’ll be fine. We have rules,” you insisted, trying to brush off his concern.
“And what are those rules?” Taehyun seethed, his teeth clenched in worry. “I just don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
“Yeonjun and I are perfectly fine. We’re completely over each other,” you assured him, but your words felt more like a defensive shield than the truth.
You couldn’t see it, but Taehyun did. The tension, the complicated history, and the fragile boundaries were a recipe for disaster. Because in situations like this, no matter the promises or the rules, someone always got hurt.
Maybe it wouldn’t be you or Yeonjun but Taehyun was sure someone would be.
“What’s with the urgent text? I was in the middle of doing laundry and got SOS-ed by Kai,” Soobin announced as he walked in, his tall frame filling the doorway, looking bewildered.
All eyes turned to the newest arrival, and the room fell silent, tension hanging thick in the air. Soobin glanced around, his confusion growing as he took in the scene.
“YEONJUN AND HER ARE FUCKING!” Kai blurted out, shattering the awkward silence with his loud declaration.
“KA—” you and Yeonjun shouted in unison, your faces flushing with embarrassment and frustration.
Soobin turned his gaze toward the two of you, his expression a mix of shock and confusion.
“Come again?” he asked, clearly struggling to process the chaos unfolding before him. His emotions were unreadable, adding another layer of tension to the already fraught situation.
“That’s amazing!” Soobin exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across his face. “That’s so cool!”
The others looked at him– confused.
“You’re joking, right?” Kai mumbled.
“At least someone in our group is finally getting some!” Soobin laughed and walked into the kitchen.
As Soobin and Taehyun headed toward the kitchen, the rest of you stayed in the room bickering about the incident.
And cue…the certain someone, Taehyun thought.
“You’re hurt,” Taehyun said quietly.
“What?” Soobin looked up, puzzled.
“You still have feelings for her, don’t you?” Taehyun pressed, his tone soft but insistent.
“No. I don’t. Did you not see me being all nonchalant about her having sex with my best friend?” Soobin’s words tumbled out in a rush. “That was me being nonchalant. I’m happy about it. I’m really, really happy.”
“You came to my apartment last week just to tell me you couldn’t get her out of your head,” Taehyun said.
“And those feelings are gone,” Soobin insisted, pouring himself a glass of champagne and downing it in one swift gulp. “I lost a LOL game to Beomgyu that day so maybe I was just drunk and emotional.”
“See, I didn’t mention anything about feelings.” Taehyun outwitted Soobin.
“You’re being an asshole.”
“And you’re projecting,” Taehyun replied, not convinced.
“Y’know, Taehyun, you might be a psychology major but you’re not a mind reader. So could you just take a seat? Maybe chill and not overanalyze my feelings. I’m fine! I’m better than fine. I’m happy for him. He’s getting some—like we all should.”
“Soobin—” Taehyun started to protest.
“I’m fine,” Soobin reiterated, cutting him off.
Yeonjun and you settled on the sofa, facing the four of them who were perched on beanbags, their eyes fixed on you with a mix of curiosity and concern.
“So, how long has this been going on?” Taehyun asked as he sunk himself into the beanbag right next to Huening, his tone still probing.
“Literally just an hour ago,” you replied with a sigh, feeling exasperated by your overprotective, nosy friends.
“And do the two of you have feelings for each other?” Beomgyu pressed, leaning forward with interest.
“No!” Yeonjun sighed, his frustration evident. “We don’t.”
“So the both of you really think sex is the best solution to your little roommate issue?” Soobin raised an eyebrow, clearly sceptical.
“Well… it’s an idea,” Yeonjun replied slowly, his tone more thoughtful than convincing.
“It’s just… it’ll be fine! I’m sure of it!” you insisted, trying to sound more confident than you felt.
The following days were tough for Soobin.
Day 1
"Guess what?" Yeonjun threw an arm around Soobin's shoulders, grinning wide. "She forgot to get a replacement box of cereal, but don’t worry—I got something even sweeter in return." He added a playful wink.
"Haha, good one!" Soobin replied with a forced smile. "If you’ll excuse me." He stood up and walked out of the bar.
As he stepped onto the empty street, Soobin tried to hold it together. Once he was sure he was alone, he let out a loud scream of frustration, the sound echoing in the quiet night. Turning around, he noticed a man staring at him oddly.
“Sorry.”
Day 2
"One minute she's yelling that I'm taking too long in the shower, and the next, she jumps right in!" Yeonjun chuckled.
"That's... that's great," Soobin said, forcing a grin and giving Yeonjun a hearty pat on the back—maybe a little too hearty.
"Ouch! Dude, have you been hitting the gym?" Yeonjun winced.
"Yeah, something like that," Soobin replied with a tight smile. "If you’ll excuse me."
He stepped out into the same alleyway and let out a loud scream of frustration.
Day 3
“Sorry, I’m late. Guess who forgot to wash the damn cups again,” Yeonjun chuckled, shaking his head in mock frustration. He then took a seat next to Kai, who had started talking animatedly about something that happened at work.
Before Soobin could retreat to the familiar alleyway to release his frustration, Taehyun grabbed his arm, pulling him back.
“I’m not about to let you disappear into the alley just to let out a horrifying scream, we can all hear you by the way.” Taehyun said firmly.
“You can?” Soobin’s cheeks pinked.
“Yes. It’s embarrassing.”
“Oh.”
It’s clear you still like her. You could put an end to this.”
“I don’t like her,” Soobin sighed, frustration evident in his voice.
“Yes, you do.”
“No, I don’t!”
“Yes, you do!”
“I don’t like her!”
“Who are we talking about?” you asked, popping up behind the two of them, causing Taehyun to jump and let out a startled scream.
“No one,” the two of them replied in unison.
You raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. “Sure. Hey Soobin, can you help me with something at the apartment?”
Soobin’s tone was almost bitter as he responded, “You can’t ask Yeonjun to help you?” It was clear that something was bothering him.
“Oh, I just…” you said, hurt flashing in your eyes. “I’m sorry, I’ll ask Beomgyu then.”
Seeing the hurt in your eyes, Soobin immediately felt a pang of regret. His heart ached at the thought of having hurt you.
“I’m sorry. I just… had a bad day at work. Of course, I’ll help you.”
You hesitated, your voice careful, “I don’t want to bother you.”
“You never have,” Soobin said, his smile genuine and warm.
You returned his smile, feeling a wave of relief and warmth. “Thanks, Soobin. I really appreciate it.”
“C’mon,” Soobin said, extending a hand toward you. “Let’s get this done.”
As you both walked out of the bar and made your way to the apartment, the earlier tension began to fade. The familiar route was only a five-minute walk, and the comforting rhythm of your footsteps helped soothe the day’s frustrations.
Once inside the apartment, you turned to Soobin with a hesitant expression. “So… I have an assignment due next week, and it’s something I don’t even want to bring up in front of the other guys.”
“Oh, what is it about?” Soobin asked, curiosity piqued.
“Well, uh… it’s conducting an interview…” Your voice trailed off, and you looked away, clearly embarrassed by the following words.
“About?”
“Here,” you said, handing him a folder. “I can’t read it out loud.”
Soobin took the folder and read the assignment quietly to himself. “Conduct an interview with someone you’ve known that you admire.”
He glanced up at you, a mixture of surprise and understanding in his eyes. “So, who are you thinking of interviewing?”
You looked at him, laughing softly, “Uh– you actually.”
Soobin blinked in surprise, his expression shifting to one of genuine curiosity and a hint of flattery. “Me? Really?”
You nodded, smiling warmly. “Yeah. You’re always so strong. I mean, you cry a lot, but you’re strong. You show your emotions and you’re honest about how you feel. It’s one of the things I really like about you.”
Soobin gulped, feeling a rush of nervousness. His heart raced faster than it ever had. Though the two of you were close, most of your conversations were light-hearted and filled with jokes. Even deep talks typically involved the rest of the group. But this—this was an intimate moment, a conversation that felt deeply personal.
He was locking away the realization of his feelings for you, feelings he had only recently admitted to himself and discussed with Taehyun.
“I—uh...” Soobin’s words stumbled as he tried to process the unexpected compliment.
“It’s weird to hear nice things about yourself,” you said, your voice gentle. “But you should still know.”
Soobin’s cheeks reddened, a faint blush spreading across his face. “You’re really something else,” he said.
“So, uh… the interview?” you asked, trying to lighten the mood. “You’re okay with it? You’re kinda my last hope before I move on to Beomgyu.”
Soobin laughed, the tension easing as he replied, “Yeah, I’m cool with it.”
The mood lightened, and soon the two of you were caught up in laughter, exchanging funny stories like one in particular where Beomgyu fell off his bike and peed in his pants.
As the laughter died down, you noticed an eyelash on Soobin’s cheek, fluttering near his eye. “Wait, you’ve got an eyelash,” you said, reaching up instinctively. “Hold still.”
Soobin stilled, his eyes focused on you as you leaned in closer, carefully brushing the eyelash off his face. Your fingers lingered for a moment longer than necessary, your touch soft against his skin. As you pulled back, your faces were mere inches apart, the playful atmosphere suddenly shifting into something deeper.
You both froze, eyes locking. The world around you seemed to fade away, and all you could focus on was the softness of his gaze and the sudden, undeniable pull between you. Soobin’s breath hitched, his eyes flickering to your lips, the playful smile now replaced by something more intense.
Without thinking, Soobin leaned in, his hand gently cupping the back of your head. Your heart raced as you found yourself mirroring his movement, tilting your head slightly, drawn to him like a magnet. Your breaths mingled, and the proximity was dizzying—your lips were just a breath away from meeting when—
The door burst open, and Taehyun barged in, his voice loud and casual. “Hey, Soobin, did you see the—oh.” He stopped dead, taking in the scene before him, his eyes widening in surprise.
Soobin jumped back, clearing his throat awkwardly as the moment shattered. You quickly stepped away, your cheeks flushing in embarrassment as Taehyun stared at the two of you, completely oblivious to the intimate moment he’d just interrupted.
Day 4
Yeonjun sighed and sprawled out on the sofa, looking unusually restless. “I’m bored,” he said, glancing over at you with an exaggerated pout.
“What does that have to do with me?” you asked, your eyes fixed on the screen as you typed away.
“Well, we could…” Yeonjun began, his tone playful and full of mischief, a glint in his eye suggesting he had something entertaining in mind.
“Don’t even think about it. I’m in the zone,” you replied, waving a hand dismissively while remaining focused on your work.
“I wasn’t saying anything.” Yeonjun shrugged, but then his face lit up with a sudden realization. “Oh shit, I’m late for work!” He jumped up from the sofa, hurriedly grabbing his bag from the floor and shoving his phone into his pocket. “I’ll get going!”
“Sure! Be safe!” you called out, barely glancing up.
Yeonjun paused at the door, a spontaneous impulse catching him. He dashed back to you, leaned in, and pressed his lips against yours in a quick, unexpected kiss. “Bye!” he said, before rushing out the door.
You stood there, your eyes widening in surprise and confusion, “Oh no.”
From just outside the door, Yeonjun’s voice came back, sounding almost comically distressed, “Oh no.”
Day 5
“And I kissed her,” Yeonjun’s frustration was evident as he recounted the awkward incident to Soobin, who was barely able to hide his jealousy. Soobin’s expression tightened, his jaw clenched as he tried to mask his emotions.
“So you like her?” Soobin asked, his voice laced with a hint of fear, not quite sure if he wanted to hear the answer.
“No! I just… I think maybe it was just leftover reflexes from when we were dating,” Yeonjun said, shrugging as if trying to convince himself more than Soobin.
“You know what? I think it’s the perfect time to end this little arrangement,” Soobin said, wincing slightly. “She might get the wrong idea, and you definitely don’t want that, do you?”
“Oh, fuck no!” Yeonjun shook his head quickly. “We’re better off as friends. Sure, she’s funny, pretty, and not gonna lie, she’s almost animalistic in bed, it’s like sh—”
“I don’t really need or want to know,” Soobin cut him off, shaking his head in discomfort.
“Oh right. But yeah…we’re just better off as friends.” Yeonjun trailed off, lost in thought. “I gotta end it.”
—------
“It was weird! Are you kidding me?” you sighed, pacing back and forth, your mind racing. “It felt like incest.”
“Incest is a harsh word considering the two of you literally fuck all the time.”
“Right…”
Taehyun watched you with a knowing look, arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. “Well, end it! I told you—this wasn’t a good idea.”
You stopped in your tracks, frustration boiling over, but beneath it was something you didn’t want to admit—how much the almost-kiss with Soobin had affected you. You replayed the moment in your mind: the way Soobin looked at you, the way your heart fluttered like never before. It wasn’t just the kiss that was weird—it was the rush of emotions that came with it, emotions you hadn’t allowed yourself to fully feel until now.
You rubbed your temples, a sigh escaping your lips. “Fine. You were right. I gotta end it.” The words felt heavy, the reality of moving on from whatever you had with Yeonjun suddenly feeling insignificant compared to the new, confusing feelings stirring for Soobin.
Back at home, you sat across from Yeonjun, both of you feeling the weight of the conversation that had been long overdue. You laid out your concerns, talking openly about the awkwardness of the recent kiss and the boundaries that had become increasingly blurred. Yeonjun nodded along, echoing the very same feelings you had been grappling with.
“So we agree…we should just talk it out. Just like regular roommates,” Yeonjun said, leaning back in his chair, his tone uncharacteristically serious.
“Yeah,” you nodded, relieved to find that you were both on the same page. “No more…whatever this is. Just friends. Just roommates.”
Yeonjun ran a hand through his hair, letting out a small laugh. “I mean, it was fun while it lasted, right?”
“Yeah, but it’s better this way,” you smiled, feeling a sense of closure. “No more mixed signals or weird moments.”
“Agreed,” Yeonjun said, offering you a reassuring smile. “We’re still good?”
“Yeah, we’re good.” You smiled back, feeling a bit lighter now that everything was out in the open.
As you wrapped up your conversation with Yeonjun, you felt a wave of relief wash over you. The awkwardness of your past situation seemed to fade, replaced by a renewed sense of friendship. You were both on the same page, ready to move forward and leave the confusing feelings behind.
Later that day, you found yourself in the common area of the apartment, scrolling absentmindedly on your phone when you overheard Beomgyu’s voice drifting from the kitchen. You didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but the mention of Soobin’s name immediately caught your attention.
“Trust me, man, she’s perfect for you!” Beomgyu’s voice was enthusiastic, almost teasing. “You need to loosen up a little. A date is just what you need.”
Soobin’s voice followed, sounding less certain. “I don’t know, Beomgyu… I’m not sure if I’m ready for this.”
“Oh, come on! You’ve been single for too long. Besides, this girl is great. You’ll have fun. Just one date. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Your heart sank as the realization hit you—Beomgyu had set Soobin up on a date. You peeked around the corner, seeing Soobin rubbing the back of his neck, looking both hesitant and slightly amused.
“Alright, fine. I’ll go,” Soobin finally conceded, though he still seemed unsure. “But you owe me if this goes badly.”
Beomgyu grinned, patting Soobin on the back. “Trust me, you won’t regret it!”
You shook your head, scolding yourself internally. Get a grip, you thought. He’s free to do whatever he wants. Yet, despite the logical reasoning, the sight of him being set up by Beomgyu for a date left an ache in your heart.
Your mind drifted back to all the moments you had shared—the late-night talks, the inside jokes, the quiet glances that lingered just a little too long. It felt different with Soobin, something softer and unspoken. You told yourself you were just friends, but now, seeing him take even the smallest step toward someone else, you couldn’t help but wonder if you had been lying to yourself all along.
You tried to swallow the lump in your throat, brushing off the unease that had settled in your chest. But as Soobin walked away, you couldn’t ignore the nagging thought that maybe, just maybe, you wanted him to be more than just your friend.
The first few days after your conversation were smooth, almost idyllic. Both you and Yeonjun fell into a comfortable routine as roommates, swapping chores like a well-oiled machine. You kept the milk and cereal stocked, and Yeonjun diligently tidied up. It was good—a refreshing change from the chaotic back-and-forth you’d fallen into.
But as they say, old habits die hard.
Yeonjun’s voice suddenly echoed down the hallway, his tone laced with annoyance. “YOU FORGOT THE TOILET PAPER AGAIN!”
You sighed, knowing this was just a flashback to the petty arguments you used to have. It was always the little things that set Yeonjun off, and today was no different. Without thinking, and in a moment of sheer impulsiveness, you pulled up your shirt, flashing him from across the room.
Yeonjun’s eyes widened in shock, his irritation momentarily forgotten. “What the—” he stammered, caught off guard, his expression shifting rapidly between confusion and amusement. But as the moment lingered, the tension simmering beneath the surface became impossible to ignore.
Without warning, he crossed the distance between you in one swift motion. His hands found your waist, pulling you close in one fluid movement before you could even react. Then, in a sudden, unrestrained rush, he crashed his lips against yours. The next thing you knew, your clothes were discarded carelessly on the floor, lost in the heat of the moment.
“God. We have to stop barging in like this,” Taehyun’s exasperated voice cut through the haze.
Both your heads snapped toward the door, where your friends stood frozen in shock—eyes wide, mouths agape. You screamed, scrambling to hide behind Yeonjun as he instinctively moved to shield you.
Yeonjun’s face turned beet red, his mind racing between anger and embarrassment. “I really need to get those keys back,” he muttered, shooting an accusing glare at Beomgyu, who only offered a mischievous smirk in return.
“Oh, how fun! This is still going on!” Soobin chimed in, his voice dripping with feigned excitement that barely masked the bitterness underneath.
The tension in the room was palpable. Your eyes darted between the four of them, each reaction more uncomfortable than the last. Beomgyu and Kai looked amused, Taehyun rubbed his temples in disbelief, and Soobin…Soobin’s forced smile was a poor cover for the hurt he clearly felt, a flash of pain that stung more than he’d ever admit.
Yeonjun cleared his throat, trying to regain some semblance of composure. “Could you all, maybe, not do this right now?” he said, half-joking, half-serious.
The two of you scrambled to get dressed, fumbling awkwardly with your clothes as you avoided the judgmental stares from your friends. The door swung shut behind the group as they stepped back into the hallway, exchanging glances.
Beomgyu was the first to break the silence, his voice tinged with exasperation. “Well, that was… something. Did not need to see that. Again.”
Taehyun rubbed his temples, letting out a heavy sigh. “This is exactly why I told them not to get involved like this. They’re just gonna complicate everything.”
Soobin was staring blankly at the floor, arms crossed tightly over his chest.
Kai nodded, his usual playful demeanor replaced by genuine concern. “They think it’s all fun and games, but once feelings get mixed up, it’s not just the two of them that get hurt. We’re all in this.”
“So, what happens when it gets messy? They break up, can’t stand to live together, and then we’re stuck picking sides?” Taehyun continued, his tone edged with worry. “We’ve been through enough to know that these things never stay simple.”
“Exactly.” Soobin’s voice wavered slightly, betraying the mix of emotions he was trying to suppress. “They can laugh it off now, but what about later? What if one of them wants more and the other doesn’t? It’s not just a fling anymore—it’s risking years of friendship for a few moments.”
Beomgyu leaned against the wall, a frustrated sigh escaping his lips. “I get it—they’re grown-ups and can make their own decisions. But come on, they’re not thinking clearly. They’re just getting swept up in the heat of the moment.”
Kai, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced by a rare seriousness, crossed his arms tightly over his chest. “Yeah, well, they should know better. This isn’t some casual fling; it’s going to mess with our entire group dynamic.”
Beomgyu nodded, half-smirking. “I mean, can you blame Yeonjun? She’s kinda hot. I kind of get where he’s coming from.”
Taehyun shot Beomgyu an incredulous look before shoving him, not too hard, but enough to get the message across. “Dude, that’s our best friend you’re talking about.”
Beomgyu held up his hands defensively, still lounging against the wall. “Hey, it’s a compliment! I’m just saying, I understand why they’re doing what they’re doing. But it doesn’t mean it’s smart.”
Kai shook his head, his brows furrowing in concern. “They’re playing with fire. This whole thing could blow up in their faces and take the rest of us down with it. We’re supposed to be friends first, not…whatever this is.”
Soobin sighed, standing off to the side as he listened to his friends debate the mess unfolding before them. He knew staying silent was his best option; anything he said would be tainted by the jealousy burning inside him. Jealousy that twisted his gut every time he saw Yeonjun’s hands on you, every time he watched Yeonjun get to touch you, hold you, kiss you.
He wanted that. No, he needed that. He craved the closeness Yeonjun took for granted, the effortless way Yeonjun could call you pretty, and the comfort of being the one you turned to when you were feeling sad, happy, or even angry. Soobin wanted to be your person, the one who made you laugh and feel safe. But this tangled situation with Yeonjun was tearing him apart, constantly reminding him that he was on the outside looking in.
The more he watched, the more it hurt. All he could do was bottle up his feelings, pretend like everything was fine, and hope that somehow, he could find a way to be the person you needed. But right now, all he felt was powerless and envious, trapped in a painful cycle of wanting what he couldn’t have.
But enough was enough. Soobin's frustration reached its breaking point. Without a word, he abruptly stood up and fled the apartment, leaving his friends stunned and puzzled by his sudden departure.
He hurriedly made his way to his car, the engine roaring to life as he sped off into the night. His mind raced as he drove to the nearest store, determined to take control of the situation.
——
Yeonjun arrived home after a grueling day at work, his exhaustion evident as he unlocked the door and stepped inside. He was surprised to find Soobin wearing rubber gloves and scrubbing the kitchen counter.
“Hey! You’re home!” Soobin greeted with a cheerful wave.
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Soobin? What are you doing here?”
“Cleaning!” Soobin said with a grin. “I got those pesky rings on the table cleaned up.” He proudly pointed to the now spotless table where the coaster marks had disappeared.
“And… you’re gonna love this,” Soobin continued, pulling Yeonjun into the kitchen.
“What?” Yeonjun asked, intrigued.
“Open the fridge,” Soobin instructed, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Yeonjun scratched his head but complied, opening the refrigerator door. His eyes widened at the sight of it lined with jugs of milk and a fully stocked shelf of cereal.
“And a year’s supply of cereal,” Soobin added, beaming. “You’re welcome.”
Yeonjun chuckled, clearly impressed. “Wow, Soobin. This is…you did this for us..?”
As Yeonjun took in the scene, a realization began to dawn on him. He glanced at Soobin, piecing together the effort behind the gesture. There was something more behind Soobin’s enthusiasm, a hidden motive.
“Soobin,” Yeonjun began, a hint of curiosity in his voice. “Is this about… you know, the situation with me and her?”
Soobin’s cheeks flushed slightly, and he quickly shrugged it off. “No? What? Why would it be? I just hate seeing my best friends fight all the time!”
Yeonjun studied Soobin’s evasive response, noting the embarrassment in his demeanor. “I see. Well, I appreciate the help. Really.”
“Yeah, no problem,” Soobin said, brushing off the conversation with a casual wave. “Just thought I’d pitch in.”
Yeonjun nodded, sensing that Soobin was holding back but choosing to let it slide for now. “Are you sure it’s not about her—”
“Yes. I’m sure,” Soobin cut him off, his voice tense and defensive.
Yeonjun paused, watching Soobin closely before continuing. “Look, Soobin, if you do have feelings for her—”
“But I don’t—” Soobin insisted, though his voice wavered slightly, betraying the truth he was desperately trying to hide.
“And I’m saying if you do,” Yeonjun pressed on, unrelenting but gentle. “I’m okay with it. You’re my best friend, and so is she. You’re both great people, and I’d feel like absolute crap if I was the reason you didn’t go after her.”
Soobin stayed quiet, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He wanted to deny it, to push away the feelings that had been simmering just beneath the surface, but Yeonjun’s words struck a chord.
Yeonjun sighed, his tone softer now. “I’ve seen the way you look at her, Soobin. And, honestly, I think she looks at you the same way. If there’s something there, don’t waste it just because you’re scared of messing things up.”
Soobin stared at the ground, his thoughts racing. He wanted to argue, to brush it off as nothing, but Yeonjun’s understanding was disarming. It was hard to keep pretending when even his best friend could see right through him.
“And I’m sorry for doing all this shit,” Yeonjun continued, his voice laced with genuine regret. “I should’ve trusted my gut and realized you liked her sooner. Maybe if I had, I wouldn’t have started this whole mess.”
Soobin looked up, his eyes meeting Yeonjun’s. The guilt was evident on Yeonjun’s face, and it was clear that his friend wasn’t just apologizing for the recent chaos, but for unintentionally standing in the way of something deeper.
“It’s not your fault,” Soobin finally said, his voice quieter now. “You couldn’t have known. And I didn’t exactly make it obvious.”
Yeonjun sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Still. You’re important to me, and so is she. I never wanted to put you in this position, especially over something that...honestly? It was never gonna be more than what it was.”
Soobin nodded, appreciating the honesty. Despite the jealousy that had been eating away at him, it was hard to stay angry when Yeonjun was just being...Yeonjun—messy but sincere.
“I don’t blame you,” Soobin admitted, feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. “But maybe it’s time I stop blaming myself too.”
——
“Yeonjun, we can’t keep doing this,” you said, your voice tinged with frustration and concern. “We’re making our friends uncomfortable and unhappy. And truthfully, what we’re doing… sure, it makes us feel good. Feel great. Feel satisfied. Y’know when your hands just —” Your thoughts briefly wandered to how amazing Yeonjun made you feel, but you quickly refocused on the conversation at hand.
Yeonjun smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Sweetheart, you’re not finishing your sentence.”
“Oh right,” you stammered, your cheeks flushing with heat. “I mean… uh, we shouldn’t continue.”
Yeonjun’s smirk faded as his expression grew more serious, a knowing look in his eyes. “It’s Soobin, isn’t it?”
Your head snapped up, confusion and surprise evident in your eyes. “Huh?”
“You don’t really care what the others think. You care about what Soobin thinks,” Yeonjun said, his gaze steady and unflinching.
“I—” you started, but the words caught in your throat. The truth was, you didn’t want to admit it—not to Yeonjun, and maybe not even to yourself.
“Oh, come on. Do you really think I don’t notice the way you look at him? You used to look at me like that,” Yeonjun said with a laugh, though his voice carried a trace of sadness. “You’re not fooling anyone.”
You shook your head, desperately trying to deny it. “It’s not like that. I just… I don’t want to ruin our friendship. When we broke up, it was a miracle that our group didn’t fall apart.”
“That’s because we were meant to be just friends,” Yeonjun said, shaking his head. “Look, I’m an asshole. I’m not gonna lie and say seeing you clearly have feelings for Soobin doesn’t sting. It does. We dated a few years back, but that was a long time ago. Maybe me initiating this stupid arrangement was a way for me to see if I still had feelings for you. But I ended up having so much fun I forgot the initial intent.”
You looked at him, feeling a mixture of relief and regret. “I’m sorry, Yeonjun. I really didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Yeonjun shrugged, managing a small, understanding smile. “It’s okay. We both needed this to figure things out. I think it’s time we end this and move forward.”
The two of you fell into a heavy silence, the weight of unspoken feelings lingering between you.
After a moment, Yeonjun broke the quiet. “And… you should really give Soobin a chance.”
Your eyes flickered with uncertainty, your fingers nervously fidgeting with the edge of your sleeve. “I don’t want to ruin the dynamic of our friendship. We’ve all been through so much together.”
Yeonjun leaned back, studying you thoughtfully. “I get that, but sometimes the best things come from taking a risk. Soobin cares about you—a lot. Anyone can see that.”
“But what if it doesn’t work out? What if everything falls apart?” you asked, your voice soft and laced with doubt.
Yeonjun sighed, a gentle smile tugging at his lips. “You can’t live in fear of what-ifs. Soobin’s a good guy, and I think you know that. And honestly, I think you two could be really good together. Better than this… whatever we’ve been doing.”
Your defenses finally crumbled, and you found yourself nodding, the truth finally slipping past your lips. “You’re right. I like Soobin. I’ve been trying to deny it, but I do. I really do.”
Yeonjun squeezed your shoulder, his smile bittersweet. “Then go for it. You deserve to be happy.”
—-
You didn’t know what gave you the courage, but somehow, you found yourself standing outside Soobin’s apartment, your heart pounding in your chest. Your things were packed hastily in a luggage bag that sat heavily beside you, mirroring the weight of the decision you’d just made. You took a deep breath, raised your hand, and knocked on the door.
After a moment, the door swung open, and Soobin stood before you, his expression immediately shifting to one of confusion. He blinked, taking in the sight of you on his doorstep, luggage in tow.
He called your name, his voice laced with surprise. “What are you doing here?”
“I… uh,” you hesitated, your pulse quickening as you looked into his eyes. “I kinda need a new roommate.”
Soobin’s brow furrowed in confusion as he glanced at the bag beside you, his mind racing to piece together the suddenness of your arrival. You could see a mix of emotions flash across his face—concern, curiosity, and something else you couldn’t quite place.
“Are you serious?” he asked, his voice softening as he stepped aside to let you in, still trying to process why you were here.
You nodded, swallowing hard. “Yeah. I just… I needed a change. And you have an extra room…right?”
Soobin stared at you for a moment, still trying to wrap his head around what was happening, before finally nodding, a small, hopeful smile tugging at his lips. “Well then… welcome home.”
“It’s… clean,” you muttered, glancing around the spotless apartment. The floors were polished, surfaces gleamed, and everything was neatly in place. “I don’t think any agreement would be necessary,” you joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Soobin winced slightly, rubbing the back of his neck, clearly still a bit thrown by your sudden arrival. “Yeah. Hopefully not.”
You hesitated, a playful thought crossing your mind, but your nerves made your voice barely audible. “Or… a different agreement could take place,” you mumbled under your breath, almost hoping he wouldn’t hear it.
“What?” Soobin asked, his head tilting slightly as he caught the tail end of your words.
“Nothing,” you quickly blurted out, feeling your cheeks heat up. Your sudden burst of courage had already wavered, leaving you flustered.
Soobin narrowed his eyes, clearly not convinced. “Sorry, it just sounded like you said—”
“Nothing,” you repeated, your nervous laugh masking the tension between you. You avoided his gaze, feeling your heart race faster with every second.
Soobin watched you carefully, his expression softening. “I’d be up for it,” he said, his voice low.
You blinked, caught off guard. “Huh?”
“Our own agreement,” Soobin clarified, his tone steady, though his eyes were filled with something much deeper. “That is.”
You shook your head, still confused. “Wait… what?”
“An agreement where I get to kiss you,” he said, stepping closer, his presence warm and intoxicating. He took your duffel bag from your grip and set it gently on the floor, never breaking eye contact.
“Where I get to hug you,” he continued, his fingers brushing against your arm, sending shivers down your spine as he closed the distance between you.
“Where I get to tell you how pretty you look when you’re wearing my shirt as a nightdress,” Soobin murmured, his gaze lingering on you, his breath warm against your skin. He leaned in, his lips just a breath away from yours.
“Where I call you mine,” he whispered, his words brushing your ear, sending a thrilling rush through you that made your pulse quicken.
The room felt smaller, the air charged with the weight of his confession. Your heart pounded as you looked up at him, realizing that maybe this was the agreement you’d been hoping for all along.
“Are you…” He whispered. “up for it?”
You gulped, suddenly feeling shyer than usual, your usual bravado slipping away. Soobin’s presence was magnetic, and his unexpected confidence caught you off guard. You looked up at him, his demeanor more assured, more intense than you’d ever seen before. There was something about it—about him—that made your pulse race. He looked undeniably attractive, and the realization hit you harder than you expected.
It was kind of sexy, to say the least. You found yourself drawn to the way his eyes lingered on you, the way his voice dropped just a little deeper when he spoke. The tension between you crackled, charged with something new, something you both wanted but hadn’t dared to admit until now.
You nodded slowly, your heart racing at the intensity of the moment. Soobin's smirk grew, his eyes locked onto yours with an intense gaze. “Yeonjun once described you as ‘animalistic in bed.’” His tone was a mix of intrigue and a hint of jealousy, though it was clear he was struggling with the comparison. “Although it pained me to hear that from him, I’d like to see that side of you.”
Your breath hitched, a mixture of surprise and anticipation flooding your senses.
“Except…” Soobin leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, seductive whisper, “I want what we have to be different. I want it to be entirely better than what you and Yeonjun ever had.” His confidence seemed to grow with every word he spoke, his gaze never leaving yours.
“I want what we have to be love,” Soobin finalized, his voice soft yet resolute. His eyes held a tender intensity as he took a step closer, closing the remaining distance between you.
“What do you say?” Soobin asked, his eyes softening
You felt silenced, overwhelmed by a surge of emotions. The desire you’d suppressed for so long now bubbled to the surface.
Every word Soobin spoke resonated deeply within you.
Finally, gathering your courage, you looked up at him, your voice barely more than a whisper.
“I want that too.”
Soobin’s face broke into a genuine smile, his eyes lighting up with relief and joy.
He reached out, gently cupping your face in his hands. “Then let’s make it real.”
With that, he leaned in, his lips meeting yours in a kiss. The kiss started off sweetly before it became rougher and desperate by the minute.
Soobin’s hands moved to your waist, pulling you closer, while your arms wrapped around his neck, urging him to hold you tighter.
Breathless, you pulled away slightly, biting Soobin’s lip playfully before detaching yourself from him. You looked up at him, your eyes still clouded with passion. “I should unpack,” you panted, trying to catch your breath.
Soobin grinned, his eyes still sparkling with the thrill of the moment. “Yeah, right…that doesn’t really mean I’m done with this,” he said, his tone teasing.
You rolled your eyes, “So where’s my room?”
“Your room?”
You nodded.
“You’re sleeping with me!” Soobin perked up.
“You’re insane. We’re not even dating yet.”
Soobin pouted playfully, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall. “We just haven’t made it official yet.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to hide the smile tugging at your lips. “Soobin, we kissed once. Once. And all you did was tell me you wanted me.”
Soobin shrugged, a smug grin spreading across his face. “Yeah, but I meant every word. Besides, I’ve wanted you for way longer than just that one kiss.” He stepped closer, his expression turning sincere. “And I’m not gonna pretend otherwise.”
You shook your head, amused but touched by his confidence. “You really don’t know how to take things slow, do you?”
“Not when it comes to you.” Soobin’s voice softened as he looked at you, his eyes full of affection. “But if you want to take your time, I’ll wait. I just… I want you to know where I stand.”
For a moment, the teasing vanished, replaced by a quiet, vulnerable honesty. You couldn’t help but be drawn to it. You sighed, playfully nudging him. “Fine, but you’re not getting my side of the bed.”
Soobin chuckled, pulling you close again. “As long as you’re in it, I’ll take whatever side you leave me.”

Hey, love your readings ! They have been so fun to read and so informative!! I was wondering if you could do one on what all of the dorm pairing think of each other? (e.g. what does chan think of IN and vice versa etc.)
I feel like living with somebody 1 on 1 can really change your opinion of someone lol (speaking from personal experience)
Anyway, thank you so much for your readings. I have really been enjoying them 💙
Thank you, u warm my heart💗🥰
I find the topic very interesting myself :) Enjoy💗
*For entertainment purposes only!
Skz dorm pairings' opinion on each other
Chan - Ace of Cups
Thinks of in that he's lovely and is a very giving and nurturing person. He thinks he's even cuter "up close".
I.N - 6 of Pentacles
Thinks of chan a bit of a "father figure" now that they are more close and personal. Not in a literal sense but rather chan's very...mhhh, provider-like. He thinks he has such qualities now even more than before.
Lee Know + Han - 3 of Swords, 7 of Swords
For those two sadly i got really bad cards, i think they might've recently had a fight or something. Lee know feels heartbroken and hurt by something han has done or the way han is. And Han on the other side feels plagued by guilt! I think he's unsure of something and his confusion is causing chaos around him, since decision made from an unstable state place - reap unstable outcomes. I think he feels really bad and wants to fix things and do better but he doesn't know how. Especially since he's trying to escape the pressure of those awful things he's feeling.
Changbin - 4 of Cups
I think he's kinda unsure how he feels about hyunjin after moving in with him. I think he has seen sides of him he hasn't seen that up close before and is now seeing him from a different light, thats causing him to evaluate his opinion on him. And also maybe his actions and behavior towards him in the future.
Hyunjin - Strength
Mh im not seeing so much of what hyunjin THINKS of changbin but rather how he feels. And im seeing he feels that Changbin is infuriating. Im pucking up on an agressive "tantrum" and idk who thats comming from. Theres a few possibilities.
1. Hyunjin wants to burst out and scream at changbin
2. Hyunjin gets so infuriated by changbin that he has burst out a few times and let his nerves take the best of him.
3. Changbin has burst out a few times whenever he gets stressed and gave hyunjin a tantrum over "nothing".
4. Or Changbin has been annoyed a few times either from stress or by hyunjin and hyunjin took that personally and got infuriated/triggered cuz he thought changbins having a tantrum at him over nothing, even if he didn't actually have a tantrum, but hyunjin just felt attacked.
All if those are possibilities and i hope maybe in a future reading we'll find out which one's the actual case.
Felix - The Sun
He thinks only good of seungmin and is enjoying his time and co-life with him very much!
Seungmin - 5 of Cups, King of Swords
I think he's not that happy with the living situation. Maybe not necessarily because of Felix, but rather he just wants a different living situation overall. I think he would much rather prefer living by himself and i believe he was hoping for an opportunity like that but either the team decided regardless, or the company decided for him - one way or the other, he feels like he lost an opportunity for a nice living situation and has to put up with the current conditions wether he likes it or not. I don't think he pays felix any mind as he's focus on the matter is elsewhere.

yoo I see requests are open 👀 Grievous is currently living in my head rent free so feel free to ignore the Star Wars if you're not feeling it or ya just don't write for him yes.
hhhh anywho goodness not sure what to ask. maybe some headcanons on what Grievous is like when he falls for someone. he strikes me as someone who would be majorly in denial for a long time lol. gentler (for him) actions and protectiveness not always matching harsh words. like a majorly burnt, kinda stale marshmallow, with a gooey, mostly edible center XD rambling aside or maybe some jealousy headcanons? those are always fun. whichever one might strike your fancy at all.
well I never know how to end these things lol hope you're doing well ✨
Who doesn't love the Angry Lung Cancer Robot? Not me for sure, I love that ugly thing since I first watched the prequels. I'll always be just a lil' spiteful that TCW turned him into a running gag. Sorry if these headcanons are a little less 'professional' than my usual, I couldn't form my thoughts in a way I liked so I figured you'd enjoy it more if I just vomited them out wholesale. And you've waited long enough :'3
---
He definitely strikes me as the 'affection is when I stand 3 centimeters closer' type of person. Like it's going to be just sort of an undertone throughout the ship of like 'yeah the General prefers them/asks for them to do things instead of anyone else, we don't talk about it'. It probably persists for months before anything comes of it.
If you somehow manage to notice it, it's probably a battle of deciding what in the galaxy to do about it if anything. (is getting the attention of a warmonger cyborg a good thing?) If anything you might not do anything about it just so you feel a little safer on the ship. It's not like Grievous has the lowest causality rate, though it's mostly droids.
I don't think he would have the emotional intelligence to really ever realize, someone would have to point it out to him. Perhaps like you said maybe months later he would, but that would be a pipe dream. He's not an easy guy, that's for sure.
Perhaps he'll realize, but he'll excuse it more so as he prefers you for your competency, rather than something a bit deeper. Droids get programmed to report nonemergency issues to you, because not only does he not get infuriated by them as much, he trusts your ability to solve issues just a modicum more than others aboard. A good thing? Maybe. You can deal the negotiations, he'll just stand behind you, menacingly. If things fall through, then he'll be there to make sure you don't get hurt. For strategical reasons, of course.
As for jealousy? Given the previous points I made and your own I think it would be pretty obvious that a jealous Grievous is a Grievous you want to be miles away from. He's more than likely the type that would use violence or threats of in order to keep people away.
He might also deliver things to your directly, or even make your office/barrack/personal quarters towards the bridge of the ship closer to his. It's a mix of both subtle, and horribly unsubtle things.
Anyways, Grevious is a mess. But we never said we could fix him, and that's the fun part. (give the killer cyborg a smooch and tell him he's the best general in the separatist army, he deserves it)

I'd love to hear about number 7, 15 and 21 from Secondary Character Ask 💙
07. Character you didn’t initially like/love but have now warmed up to
There's not one I can directly think of but August kind of... He was so infuriating to me in s1 specifically but his presence didn't annoy me as much in s2 and he even has some pleasant moments in it and I found him and his storyline even more interesting and intriguing in s3. I wouldn't say I like him as a person but I like him as a character and he has grown on me in a way.
15. Adult character whose teenage backstory would make the best spin-off series
This isn't anything new but Kristina. It would be sooo interesting to see her as a young girl (I can imagine her being pretty similar to Wille) and what her life was like as Crown Princess at Hillerska. I always wonder about her experience growing up and what her relationship with her parents was, especially her father, who was king and what the monarchy was like back then and what has changed since then and what her feelings and thoughts about it were. I can see her as resolute and goal-oriented but also soft and warm in ways that has slowly disappeared over the years. And she used to have fun canonically lol (maybe she even was known as a bit of a party princess in her days).
Also imagine young Pernilla August in this, it would be amazing! Oh, I wish we could go back in time so this spin off series could actually happen with her.
21. Most underrated character/ship/actor overall
Character: Sara. She is in the main cast but she is still underrated. And hated more than some other side characters so Sara it is.
Ship: Sara/August. Again, they are one of the main characters and main pairings but for that fact they are barely acknowledged and disproportionately hated. I don't really ship them strongly either but they are honestly such an interesting and kinda sweet pairing that I think deserves to be talked about and explored in depth more.
Actor: I don't wanna name another person from the main cast but maybe Nikita? I feel like we don't talk about her enough, she's so good.
Every one of the side characters actors is so good as well but I can't think of one I find specifically underrated. They all deserve recognition and many great acting opportunities in the future.

yeesss frat boy bad boy but also soft boy era just slaps. slaps so fkn hard. and yeah him going to jail, i know thats horrible, but hot.. and it couldve have happened at a better time aesthetically speaking. and the fact he was the only one who got multiple felonies… sizzling
can we talk about the vibe he switches to when he’s not dressing like his aesthetic. the plain black skinny jeans or swim shorts, the soft cap, a hoodie or a plain tshirt, classic vans, cross necklace. he goes from “hot frat boy rock and roll, dont give a fk” to “kind soul mama’s boy would live on the beach if you let him”. Ugh, such a sweetheart.
hold on, fights in the club!?!?!? yeah im with you thats insanely hot. idk why it is but men fightingi know nothing abt this pls fill me, i’m getting popcorn! - aussie anon
the reason why him going to jail was hot was bc it wasn't for a serious, criminal offense. he went for breaking and entering. and for fake ids. like… none of that is deeply unsettling or really surprising, given what his career was at the time lol
if he had went for battery or something a little more scary, then it wouldn't be as attractive, so to speak. bc then it's a concern, a problem, rather than a fun story to tell.
it's always so interesting the way his style switches up. bc he has some random pieces in his wardrobe, even to this day, that are like…. that doesn't fit your overall aesthetic, but i appreciate that you have them. anytime he wears anything pink, my heart just melts.
so for the fighting in the club thing, he's never outwardly admitted what has occurred or why it kinda happens frequently, but he explained very briefly once during a livestream that he is banned from a couple clubs in la and vegas bc of him and brennen almost getting into fights with guys. my bet is that it was mostly brennen's fault, but there have been times now of colby on his own or with other friends almost getting into fights.
but he has never explained why, and it's infuriating. i need to know why it almost happens. like, is the other dude being a dick? is colby starting the fights? what's the M.O here? literally in december it happened to him again! like….. i NEED a story time or something lol

6 episodes into King-Ohger b/c Life slows me down and yeah this is going to be a load-bearing part of my personality for the next few months
Since the first five episodes are basically character intros, a short review of the crew as of ep6:
Gira (Red/Kuwagata Ohger) in four words? Ye Olde Theater Kid. His whole "I am the Evil King! Muahahaha!" routine is visibly him acting in really funny ways and I like him quite a lot.
Yanma Gust (Blue/Tonbo Ohger) doesn't quite present as strongly as the rest of the cast, he kinda seemed like just Punk Seto Kaiba at first with his ep. But he shines in the team interactions tbh and I started liking him a lot seeing him with everyone else.
Himeno Ran (Yellow/Kamakiri Ohger) is a riot. The insanely selfish queen routine could easily be a drag but she pushes it so hard it circles around both to altruism and to her being a real fun character. She has no off switch or brakes she is All In all the time on everything and it's quite entertaining.
Kaguragi Dybowski (Black/Hachi Ohger) is a lying liar who lies. Dude is constantly sucking up to people and playing them off against each other. He could easily be an infuriating character (and tbh he is my least fav, not that it means much when I really like everyone else) but his ep establishes a throughline of him "getting his hands dirty" to protect his subjects which gives me personally the lever I need to sort of 'get' the character so I like him well enough.
Rita Kaniska!!!
(guess who's my fav lol). The Purple/Papillion Ohger is fucking fantastic 11/10 no notes. Their dead serious deadpan routine is great as part of this cast of 'extreme personalities', they do the whole calm stride into battle thing that automatically makes me think someone's a real badass, their music rules even more than the already great music the show always has. They're pure cool ...and also a Moffunophile completely obsessed with this plush Creature (relatable tbh). Absolutely steals the show in almost every scene they're in. And of course they also have no biney whatsoever. I need 3000 more hours of Rita Kaniska stat!
As for the sixth/extra sentai who hasn't shown up yet, I know his look (and that this site is quite confident he and Gira are Big Gay) but not much else. I did see his morph sequence tho, and that little music sting it has is a pure banger and definitely has been stuck in my head for days

Here’s your excuse too rant about your favorite character for as long as you want.
Go crazy bitch!
Haha, you don’t know how stupid this is going to be. I have extreme brain rot for my favs and ADHD so it’s like hyper fixation x 10 lol
MePhone X (II): All of the MePhones are so interesting to me and I would go absolutely feral if they all come back and get a spinoff series or something, but the one I have the most love for at the moment is MePhone X and it actually infuriates me LMAO.
He has had no screen time, no personality, and no actual relevance yet but my asshole ADHD brain won’t let me stop thinking about him! It’s mostly just headcanons on how he will act/operate and ideas for plot lines with MePhone 4 and the cast that circulate in my mind but they make me kinda happy (idk). I really want to make art and write about him more but then I have to remind myself that he hasn’t come out yet. I always think of him as the MePhone that’s built to be a weapon but might actually be really sweet. If he dies expect me to cry and make 1000+ fix-it-fics about him lol (unless he’s like super evil or something).
Bot (II): They’re so silly and I love their character arc. Their design is also really cool and they’re so fun to draw. They really flourished after they were able to be themselves and while I know many people don’t like their arc, I think it was good. I hope we get to see them go back with MePhone 4 and live at Hotel OJ with Fan and Test Tub.
Moonstone (EEE): She is literally me, nervous, gets flustered easily, and shy. I would LOVE it if she could get a fraction of screen time like the others do and if her powers were actually utilized but whatever I guess.
Diary (EEE): She is my number one favorite, I mean, did you see what she did to that Dino in E3! That was cool! Like with Moonstone, I wish she got more screen time but I also, for some reason, want to know her backstory. She’s a journalist who works for Poison in a large city, that sounds interesting to me. Her fic (https://m.fanfiction.net/s/11407809/1/Moonthery) shows that she’s a huge asshole but I’m still really curious.
Toney (Earthbound/Mother2): Again with the characters that have no plot relevance T-T
I don’t really have an explanation on why he was a favorite character of mine but I guess it would have to be because of the little bit of personality we see from him and his interactions with Jeff.
GLaDOS (Portal 1/2): GLaDOS’s story is really interesting and dark and has set the standard for AI in my mind. When I learned about what she’s gone through all that hatred I had for her melted away and I felt like she was forced into a situation she had no choice in being in. A long time ago I heard this audio clip of Caroline pleading with the Aperture scientists that she didn’t want to become GLaDOS and it made my heart sink. If I ever find it I’ll share it but it was a while ago.
Auto (Walk-E): My first ever encounter with an AI character and what set me on the path of absolutely loving robots! I think it would be cool to see how he’s doing now with the humans all leaving him but for the love of everything Pixar should not touch this movie or characters with a thousand-foot pole. I would actually die if they made a sequel, just leave old films alone!
Anyways, thanks for giving me the excuse to yap about my favorite characters.

Hi!!! You already know this but I need to say it: You are so talented! Your Bucky/Winter Soldier series is out of this world, and I wholeheartedly admit I stare at your art for too long whenever I come across it on my dash, especially your 'Daybreak' piece... A thing of beauty.
Thank you for your comment (I've read it like 100 times). I gotta say, I'll definitely stick to it because it's therapeutic, although I struggle with so many things related to it, especially style. I'm a total amateur so I really don't know what the heck I'm doing. I just have this need to paint or draw sometimes to take my mind off things and I do it.
I've had my eye on watercolors since highschool (I'm 35 now), but I never dared to try it out until four years ago, but I’m not as constant as I would like to be (because life), and I'm still trying to find my footing. I guess I know what I would like the pieces to look like (the general idea) but I lack the skills to "get there.”
I suppose there's also a lack of terminology involved, like, when I search tutorials or something I rarely find what I'm looking for so I improvise by looking at similar pieces, or art that kinda look like what I want. I'm also aware that the quality of the materials that I use (mostly the pigments and paper) play a role here, as well as my lack of technique, but I plan to keep on learning so the last part is totally on me.
I just don't know what I would do without watercolors! I love the sophisticated chaos that they can bring to a piece of blank paper :) And thank you again for your comment. You made my day. I'll print it and hang it on my wall <3 (and sorry for babbling so much) (I’ve reblog your art on my secondary blog before so I really don’t know why I wasn’t following you 😳) (Ok, I’m following you now lol)
You are so incredibly sweet! I don't know what you might or not know about my own painting journey but let me assure you, your off to a great start!
I actually picked up watercolors after a long break from any art at 39 (I am 45 now) so never be discouraged it's "too late". Also, and I mean this with every fiber, please feel free to ask me any questions you have about watercolor.
I have learned quite a bit and keep learning along the way! I am happy to share tips, tricks, my favorite tutorials, classes.
You have a great eye, I can see that already, and honestly picking a dynamic pose that draws in someone goes a really long way. Don't sell yourself short, and never apologize for being passionate about your art. It's wonderful to see someone write they love painting.
Watercolor is universally known as the easiest painting style to begin, but the hardest to master. And to a degree you have to just let it do what it will! (Infuriating at times).
Again feel free to reach out any time with questions, and thank you for your kind words about my work. I'm happy to even share tips on painting tactical black and metal. (Shockingly fun).
Take care!

if you feel like it, i would very much like to see the "top 10 episodes marley doesn't care for" list. not episodes you hate, just ones you could take or leave. and not necessarily 10 if you don't want, i'm just really curious.
Ooh yeah this'll be fun, thank you! This is specifically like, episodes where I feel like I dislike them more than most of fandom, rather than known controversial episodes, or bland episodes most of fandom agrees are bland. Cut to spare others my negativity lol.
A Smattering Of Intelligence - I think this is a pretty well-liked episode since it's Flagg's proper introduction, but it's probably my least fave of Flagg's appearances. I find it a little too cartoony, and to me it almost feels like a generic satirical spy story that someone took and inserted into Mash's universe. The vibes feel off.
The Party - lol like Movie Tonight this is another episode that's so beloved I feel kinda bad for not liking it much. There's lots I do like about it (Klinger's mom!) but overall I feel like the off-screen characters are annoyingly softened and made ooc to serve an uplifting, sentimental purpose that I don't really want from Mash anyway lol. Like Margaret's divorced parents getting along for this, or Charles' parents making friends with Radar's family.
And on top of that the vibe is... again, not what I want from Mash. I don't want that sense of uncomplicatedly positive bonding outside the war. Like imo Dear Dad Three's offhand joke where everyone unanimously voted against a reunion, in which the idea of a ten year MASH reunion is inherently laughable, is miles better than this episode in its entirety to me.
Bug Out - some good moments, some great jokes, but the army good vibes are infuriating to me. Potter's "If the U.S. army wants land, we just take it!" in a totally uncritical, ha ha funny context; the end where the US beating back North Korea is played for triumph complete with military remix of the theme... bad stuff.
April Fools - I definitely see the appeal of the squad teaming up together, but unfortunately this episode failed to capitalize on it, and I hate the premise immensely. I'm sure it's intended as a simple "lol the prankers become the prankees!" reversal but Potter enlisting his war buddy to prank the draftees (and Margaret) by making them think they're going to get court martialed and sent to prison for insubordination is just not my idea of fun shennanigans lol, which makes the tone of this very incongruent and awkward. Plus more making fun of Klinger, plus Hawkeye's epic prank finale sucked and we all know he could and would do a lot better than that if he had nothing to lose. It's fun if you totally ignore the lighthearted tone and take it for the mindfuck it is though lol.
Movie Tonight - I mentioned it already but yeah, it feels like the actors rather than the characters and that's not a vibe I enjoy personally, it has its moments but it's kind of awkward and unfun to me overall.
Hey Look Me Over - I've talked about this at greater length before but yeah it's like, I definitely appreciate the sentiment of a story where a not conventionally attractive woman wins a dude over with her personality, but I don't think it accomplished what they were aiming for. To me it made Hawkeye seem like a saint for changing his mind about her after getting yelled at for friendzoning her lol, and I don't think Kellye came across well in it compared to all her much cooler brief appearances. Nice that she tells us she sings and tapdances, but I'll take watching her smoke a cigar over that any day.
Who Knew - boo hiss, I've complained about it before at length. I know a few other people who also dislike it but overall it seems to be taken pretty uncritically in fandom and it shouldn't be, frankly.
As Time Goes By - the whole concept of the capsule is bad, it would've been bad even if Hawkeye filled it with subversive jokes, but then it was taken seriously as a poignant symbol of the army... woof.
The Price - I don't think this is beloved by fandom by any means, but it flies under the radar when by rights it should be hated imo. As perfect as Hawkeye is in this episode, Potter and the war hero's storyline is one of the worst subplots of the show, and I'm not qualifying that with an 'imo.'
Taking The Fifth - I had a hard time coming up with one more lol which just goes to show how good Mash is, but I went with this because I think most fans generally enjoy it and find it fun but I dislike it. I don't hate hate it, but like, Potter and Klinger's subplot is obnoxious, Hawkeye's plot is obnoxious and I hate the pathetic failed womanizer thing, and it's my go-to example of the kind of gay jokes that don't appeal to me nearly as much as the satirical seasons' jokes.

confession time: I never thought that jk is the best for jimin. and no i am not a delusional who likes jm for myself, it's just that jk has always come across like a shallow person for me.
sure they can be cute and they have good memories together but something's just amiss with jk. for me they were not on the same level and headspace, iykwim. when i think of someone who is the best for jm and someone who has the same way of thinking, it's always someone like RM. and now that we're witnessing Jk's promo, i can't help but feel like jk is really just...basic, like what i've always thought 🫣
it just worries me how all this will affect jm. they're close but jm does not deserve to be dragged with jk. he does not deserve all the mistreatment. im only hoping the best for jm and i trust that he can handle his shit; to make wise decisions in life and know when things are not worth it. he's an adult anyway and he can decide for himself 🤍
Jimin is not a pushover. He's a strong person and he'll shine through all this. I just know it.
And for the ship part......I mean I used to ship jikook before but it was more like a fun thing for me but now after all this I've completely dropped the ship.
Anyways.... Jungkook does seem a little shallow or I would rather say immature? I mean we all know jimin is a very emotionally intelligent person and he seems to be the kind of person who would like to be loved and praised. And jungkook is so bad at doing that. Atleast from what we see on the camera lol.
But I must say jikook does have the biggest moments among all other bts duos that's why they kinda caught my attention before but I'm over that phase of my life lol.
Now that I'm seeing a little bit of jungkook when he's alone and not hidden within the group I'm kinda started to see that he's not...... Idk how to say it..... But for a more tame term he's kinda basic, immature and sometimes comes off as insensitive.
And a lot of his actions does brings a lot of hate to jimin even if he doesn't mean it. Also can't forget the way he was so insensitive to jimin during early days. Thank god he grew up a little bit. Also it felt more infuriating because jimin absolutely showered jungkook with love and jk would sometimes come off as insensitive without meaning to. Personally they may have whatever relationship but to outsiders who know nothing, it doesn't look good sometimes.
And the narrative about "jm forcing jk" Would always make me side eye jk a little bit. Because even if it's not really his fault but him sometimes acting like that does bring a lot of hate to jimin.
So yeah.
Minimoni (I think that's what you call it?) On the other hand it is a sweet ship. Nothing too serious but I like them. They're kinda cute. It will bring a smile on your face for sure. And i like how namjoon is very gentle with jimin.

hello lovely friend! Glad to hear you are home and resting 😌💖 could I please ask these?
1H ⇢ describe your style
3H ⇢ what are some of the topics you like to talk about the most?
hi friend!!! hugs for you, thank you I am as well! i don’t think I’ll be coming out from under my blankets any time soon lmao! thanks for sending these in! 💕
1H ⇢ describe your style
Hmm I think my style is definitely on the comfortable, soft, cozy side! I like soft fabrics and loungewear, lots of leggings and oversized shirts and sweaters! I’ve kinda been trying to find or at least actually wear more styles I like but never really had, I’m a big high waisted pants and cute or funny graphic tees and pretty blouses kind of girl and have gotten a bit more into wearing skirts/dresses like I used to when I was younger so that’s been fun!
3H ⇢ what are some of the topics you like to talk about the most?
Anything to do with books or writing is always a topic I enjoy talking about! I also like talking to/with people about different hobbies and interests, it’s just nice seeing people light up when you find a common interest or when they’re talking about something they’re very passionate about, it’s one of those neat human moments ya know! Medicine and healthcare is another topic I end up talking about a lot which is partly cause it’s my line of work but also there’s just a lot about the medical field and about the body I find really cool and other things about that infuriate me but I’m very passionate about it as a whole lol!

omg thank you for answering. i thought it got lost but i know sometimes it just takes a bit lol. :,)
i thought about it a bit more, and i have another branch of the au/hc/whatever the hell this is.
jimmy, when hes possessing ghost, has red eyes that match his form when hes outside of ghosts body. gavin knows when jimmys possessing ghost, however toast just sees ghost being murderous and goes "ah... hes overly stressed again... perhaps he needs his calming tea ^-^"
when they DO get together, gavin and jimmy agree that itd be kinda weird if they kissed while jimmy was inhabiting ghosts body, so they just have to deal with gavin only feeling a weird pressure on his lips when jimmy kisses him. (like jello...)
also, toast and ghost decide one day to check out an old abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, and... ghost breaks down, because thats where he used to live. yknow... gregory casket. jimmy, instead of immediately possessing him, just... watches. he evaluates some things.
and realizes his demonic urge to kill and destroy has faded. just a tiny bit. hes become... more human. it disgusts him.
(ofc they calm ghost down and ghost comments on how he didnt black out that time. jimmy feels bad about himself because!! hes not supposed to feel sympathy or compassion!!! let alone love!!! ew!! domesticity is gross!! bleh!!)
he complains to gavin about it and they discover that ever since gavin and him have been hanging out more and more, jimmy's power has been... not shrunken, per say, just redirected.
it makes him feel vulnerable.
he lashes out. possesses ghost more often and kills meaningless people with an anger hes only felt once before. it all happens within a week, and he realizes something. it isnt ONLY anger.
its grief.
grief over losing his ability to blindly kill. grief over losing his murderous tendencies. grief over gaining COMPASSION and HUMANITY. grief over falling in love for the first time.
of course he grieves. hes been a serial killer for so long, it makes sense to mourn the changes hes experienced. but at the same time, hed never change a thing.
he goes back to ghosts home in ghosts body, covered in multiple peoples blood. (hes not sure how he got here, but it infuriates him that he can just automatically find it no matter how far)
toast is there, fussing over the host's injuries (since when did ghost get that cut? he... should be more careful) and jimmy... jimmy exits the body, and sobs.
he watches the love toast feels for ghost, and promises one thing to himself: while he cant guarentee he'll never kill again, he can make himself human... for gavin, toast and ghost.
he just needs to figure out how to make himself a host, so that he doesnt hurt the man hes attached himself to (in more ways than one) he WANTS to be apart of humanity. he realizes hes hugging his host when he opens his eyes again, and realizes hes been subtly seeing ghost as his... well, as his brother. it hurts, and hes angry at that conclusion, but hes too tired to deny it. he falls asleep outside of ghosts body for the first time, and finally feels human.
so yeah idk how it sorta turned into a fanfic buuuut i think i like the concept :D if theres any spelling mistakes,,, no theres not,,,, and if its kindaaa ooc then uhm. hmm. well i havent watched vt in atleast 2 years so theres bound to be some mistakes :P
This AU has really become a story and a half! Maybe you could make it into a fic? It sounds like there’s still more that can happen next! ^^
Dw too much about being OOC, I think a fun thing with the medium is that canon is flexible. Plus, you have development from A to B, so I don’t think it’s too inane a concept! Jimmy reconsidering the murder thing and actually feeling is an interesting concept and a good way to defang him as a monster— and admittedly id be lying if i said i haven’t had characters grow as people through introspection in concepts b4 ^^

FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO SEES IT OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I (and my irl friends who I’ve complained about it with) WAS THE ONLY ONE
I love shadowpeach to death because it could be SUCH a fascinating dynamic but every time I try to look for a fic about reconciliation between them they always fully push most of the blame on Wukong because he killed macaque. Now of course that is a CRAZY thing to do to someone and is definitely worth discussing, but GODDAMNIT it’s not the ONLY THING that put them apart!! Like will we ever mention that Macaque kinda abandoned Wukong under the five phases mountain for 500 years? Like it’s implied that’s where that ended, and that’s kinda fucked isn’t it? Leaving your good pal to suffer the elements down there with not even a visit because he got angry when he was at a low point (a continuous established trait of his from even before the loss against heaven). But no! Macaques mistakes no matter how psychologically damaging are minute in comparison.
It’s also very important take their growth into account too! Wukong, at the end of JTTW whether you like it or not, became a better person because of it. So it wouldn’t be like him to just kill the problem he sees without deliberation, ESPECIALLY within the context that the problem he would need is CLOSE FRIEND (or even lover in some fics). Which is why I especially think macaques murder was never intended! No matter how unstable and chaotic Wukong can be he’s still able to think and be clever! He’s the intelligent celestial monkey for Pete sakes, he’s not stupid (which is also common for fanon Wukong guys please impulsive behavior does not equal dumb).
And what infuriates me the most is often times this leads to MACAQUE becoming a drag to read and a guy I’d rather have killed on purpose. He has more of a logical side to him, he thinks, he manipulates, he takes calculated risks, he plans things out. His major flaw is his biases and inability to allow other viewpoints and suffering the consequences of the actions he takes because of it. But he’s not STUPID, he’s smarter than being an abusive piece of shit. And if challenged correctly (as he had been with Mk) he can figure it out himself like a big boy and put aside his biases for things. I don’t even believe he’s fully redeemed yet in the show. He still continues to assume things about and misjudge Wukong and be a total asshole,
but even then he doesn’t fucking lash out and try to kill him if he is slightly pissed off by Wukong??? (Vague example from a specific fic)
Every fic I see with him lashing out at Wukong has generally made macaque look like a worse person while Wukong is blamed for everything he honestly instigates??? How the hell can you make a character whom you say is the more rational of the pair literally the textbook example of an abusive partner?? It gives them such an icky connotation too, having someone always be in the wrong and continually get punched in the face for it and if he dares fight back he’s even more awful than he already is. And I can’t help but feel more sympathetic for Wukong than what the author intended because he didn’t deserve allat. And it makes me want macaque to die a second time bro I’m SICK of it
These types of fics and stories end up butchering both ends of the ship so bad dude i cannot stand it. I do want to explore their toxicity and how they clash! That’s the fun part of those two, but this just ends up being Wukong being thrown at a wall repeatedly and he just has to stand down because he’ll be blamed for some other awful thing if he does so much as to raise fist at macaque.
Goodness I yapped but I’m just really glad I’m not the only one seeing this shit in fanon shadowpeach 😭😭
Edit: fixed the macaque parts because I feel like I worded that wrong and forgot stuff lol. I discussed this with my friend JUST yesterday and misremembered some things, it is now legible too!! Joyous!!
no fucking thank you for talking about the “murder” shit between Monkey King and Six Eared Macaque it’s so fucking stupid I block every writer and artist who pulls the
“errrr waaaahh!! I’m being nuanced i am i am!! I’m only portraying Wukong as worse because he’s a killer!! Stop saying I’m biased!!!”
Monkie Kid fans 🤝 not understanding self-defense
A Tale As Old As Time
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah it feels like… l dunno, like some people think that you should just stand around and let yourself get hurt? Unironically I feel like there’s a non-negligible number of fans who think that Sun Wukong either 1. Committed cold-blooded murder or 2. Self-defense, which they treat as the same as cold-blooded murder.
It’s like these fans just expect people to stand around helplessly absorbing punches and kicks instead of ever defending themselves in any way whatsoever and I really, really don’t understand this at all?
In what world does defending yourself make you a bad person?
