I know too much about My Little Pony to watch videos about it because it just irritates me when people get things wrong
I watched a video where someone said the Hasbro reboot (after they aqcuired kenner) led to the "my little pony"-ification of the LPS toys and made them more popular because they had pastel/unrealistic colors and big eyes
like um first of all the Kenner* Littlest Pet Shop had My Little Pony-esque eyes already
Tumblr media
Kenner was already producing MLP-derivative toys before they were dissolved
Tumblr media
*Kenner was owned by hasbro when they produced the first LPS but they were a separate entity, they would be dissolved in the year 2000
But more importantly they didnt even introduce the ununatural colors until a few years in, other than the pink poodle and some colorful birds they were all very natural
Tumblr media Tumblr media
by the time they had started doing the wackier designs there were already like 400 other LPS in normal ass colors so no, they didnt "get popular after being like MLP"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And LPS was rebooted at the same time as My Little Pony but they probably both took influences from one another from early on AND from the large anime eye styles of the 90s that influenced the bigger eyes in the g3 ponies at that time.

Kentucky Derby 2020 Broadcasting Channels
The 2020 Kentucky Derby is the 146th restoration of The Best Two Minutes in Sports. While the top spot in Pony Dashing Country's 2020 Kentucky Derby contenders rankings keeps on being held by Dennis' Minute, a weekend ago's prep results prompted critical change. Supported by his Trick Stakes (G3) win, Real climbed to the No. 4 in the client produced list, an aftereffect of HRN perusers allotting star appraisals to different 3-year-old colts. To start putting your turn on the rankings, pursue a free record today.
Accumulating a 90 Beyer Speed Figure, Credible cavorted home at Santa Clause Anita Park by 7 3/4 lengths over stablemate Azul Coast. The Kentucky Derby 2020 Live Stream Sway Baffert-prepared child of Into Insidiousness yearling, whose greenness in the stretch doesn't appear to have deflected HRN perusers, is next expected to place his 2-for-2 record in the line in a Walk prep race. Others in the Best 5 starting around early afternoon Tuesday were Reproducers' Cup Adolescent champ Tempest the Court, Raisers' Cup Adolescent Turf legend Structor and Eight Rings, an Evaluation 1 victor from the Baffert animal dwellingplace.
Additionally moving up is Chance It, who best in class to No. 11 in the wake of taking Gulfstream Park's Mucho Macho Man Stakes. The Cash Swap foal, prepared by Saffie Joseph Jr., outlived As Observed on television going a one-go mile to set himself up for a beginning on the Derby trail. Then, among those descending is Respect A. P. The normal Hoax most loved missed the race - it would have denoted his stakes debut - with coach John Shirreffs saying the foal was off to his right side front. It is obscure when the Respect Code yearling could race once more.
At the point when the crowns turn out, we know the commencement to the 2020 Kentucky Derby Celebration has started. On Monday, the five ladies chose to fill in as Princesses in the 2020 Kentucky Derby Celebration Imperial Court were presented in a function at Macy's in Oxmoor Center. The Regal Court Program is facilitated by The Fillies, Inc., a volunteer gathering that works intimately with the Kentucky Derby Celebration.
The celebration's Illustrious Court is an open door for young ladies to procure grant monies, just as to fill in as an official represetative for the city and the Kentucky Derby Celebration, held during the two weeks paving the way to the Kentucky Derby on the primary Saturday in May. A last see Pony Dashing Country's 2020 Kentucky Derby Contenders list before the schedule transforms foretells some change into the new year. A trio of 2-year-old stakes in the coming days - Water channel's Jerome, Gulfstream's Mucho Macho Man and Santa Clause Anita's Hoax Stakes - figure to lift their individual champs.
With the Reproducers' Cup Big showdowns completed, the pony dashing schedule flips back to the very first moment to begin its most foreseen season: Kentucky Derby season. The way to the 2020 Kentucky Derby Introduced by Woodford Hold will, as it generally does, take a lot of surprising wanders aimlessly as contenders rise and fall with each passing prep race. A week ago observed open-length wins by two colts who, in spite of indicating inability, declared their essence as top Derby contenders in Freedom Lobby (Jerome Stakes) and Bona fide (Hoax Stakes). Estimating the 20-horse field – and in any event, taking an early remain on a potential champ sponsored by a future bet – is a yearly feature of Derby season, and the bookmakers at William Slope have begun taking fixed-chances future bets on Derby 146, which will be held May 2, 2020.
In the minutes paving the way to Wednesday's Jerome Stakes at Water channel, the child of Constitution became unruly after understanding this wasn't simply one more walkthrough toward his third profession start. It was race day. Coach Michael Trombetta considered Freedom Corridor a wild man in the enclosure. While Trombetta avoided marking it an issue, it's a worry, the mentor included.
He unquestionably realizes the distinction among tutoring and game time, said Wellman, with Shroud Pure blood Accomplices battling Autonomy Corridor alongside Twin Rivers Hustling Stables and the team of Kathleen and Robert Verratti. Notwithstanding tricks in the enclosure, Autonomy Lobby escaped last of six in the Jerome. That is on the grounds that when the doors opened, his head was positioned to the side.
Freedom Lobby experienced little difficulty in his earlier beginning, an open-lengths triumph at a similar one-mile Water system trip in the Nashua Stakes (G3). On debut, nonetheless, he likewise broke gradually Sept. 21 at Parx Hustling and was comparably guided out wide to put ability in plain view.
Freedom Corridor proceeded to crush an overmatched Jerome field by four lengths, hitting the wire under racer Jose Ortiz in 1:37.27. The exertion enlisted a 84 Beyer Speed Figure, a good number given the clumsy beginning. With a wide assembly last Wednesday at Reasonable Grounds, the recently turned 3-year-old Significant Bolstered made himself a lady victor as well as impelled himself on the 2020 Kentucky Derby Radar. The Ghostzapper yearling, prepared by Greg Foley, situated fifth leaving the most distant turn of a 1/16-mile lady unique weight race trip at Reasonable Grounds.
Racer Brian Hernandez Jr. directed Significant Sustained to the far outside entering the stretch, pursuing four adversaries to his inside. Under negligible encouraging, Significant Bolstered found another rigging and passed up them all inside the 3/16ths post. It siphons you up and places you in the game, Travis Foley, aide to his dad, disclosed to Reasonable Grounds attention after Significant Nourished's 4 ¼-length lady score. The manner in which that he did it was outwardly amazing, and it makes it energizing. Click Here For More Details About Kentucky Derby.

110 in the Shade
I decided to make it as pleasing as possible for myself to just profile each musical in alphabetical (and numerical? hence 110 in the Shade) order, starting with a gorgeous classic, 110 in the Shade.
Background Info
This is a musical that opened just after the Golden Age. It’s kind of in that area of musicals that people don’t really know how to refer to. Others in the area are a lot of Bock and Harnick musicals, like Fiddler on the Roof and She Loves Me, also, Jerry Herman favorites, Mame and Hello, Dolly!
Writers
The show has music and lyrics by the team of Harvey Schmidt who actually died exactly a week after my 18th birthday and Tom Jones who did not die exactly a week after my 18th birthday. Schmidt and Jones wrote other works together including, The Fantasticks (one of the longest-running shows in history), and the marriage profile, I Do! I Do! starring the likes of Robert Preston and Mary Martin (with a low Db), who were quite the duo, if you’d ask me. The book was by N. Richard Nash, who actually wrote a play called The Rainmaker, that was produced a few years prior.
Da System
The way I’m going to do this is that I’m going to write while listening. I’m always going to include the cast recording I chose to listen to.
Side note: Most of the time, I’m going to choose especially with classic musicals cast recordings that I feel have the best voices. ALSO, while I do listen to the entire show, I’m gonna just talk about highlights.
Who’s Singing?
For 110 in the Shade, I decided to go with a studio recording from 1997, starring Karen Ziemba as Lizzie Curry and Ron Raines as Bill Starbuck.
Time to dig into this loaded show.
Let’s Do This
For a while, I listened to the recording with Audra McDonald (one of my favorite voices of ALL time, period) as Lizzie, but eventually, I noticed that they transposed a lot of songs for her. Which by all means is okay although a bit surprising for a soprano, but I wanted to hear the way it was intended. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of Steve Kazee’s voice as Bill Starbuck (choppy vibrato), so I searched for a recording for something that is true to the original material, but recent. Thankfully, this recording served everything I was looking for. Another thing that’s funny listening to Karen Ziemba sing this instead of Audra McDonald are these two things: When I think of Karen Ziemba, I think of her phenomenal dancing and the fact that she’s an alto. When I think of Audra, I think of her amazing acting and the fact that she’s a soprano. It’s funny to me that they had Karen Ziemba do the part. Maybe, she was a soprano back in the day. However, despite her alto-ness, she really has quite the range and went OFF in this recording. Very pleasantly surprised.
As I listen to the score, I can say that it is incredibly picturesque. The Overture is both riveting and solemn. It reminded me a lot of Rossini’s William Tell Overture with the whole Morning section mixed with some Fireball. The orchestra is phenomenal. The orchestrations are very lush; something like a mattress that eats you up, but doesn’t make you sink. It’s very full for such a Western-esque score, and it’s perfect to me. It’s a lot like Copland’s Rodeo.
During the opening number, you find out from the Greek chorus (kinda) of townspeople. There’s a drought and it’s gonna be Another Hot Day. The opening number is special because it introduces many themes that happen all the way through the show. The interesting thing is that they introduce them in a way that it doesn’t get annoying to the listener. The motif is formed in many different ways all the way through the show. Also, most of the singing in this number is unison or counterpoint between the men and the women on different themes. The unison singing (while it can be beautiful at times) really gives you that bored sense of I Don’t Care What Happens Today Get Me a Palm Tree I’m Hot.
“Lizzie’s Comin’ Home” is very fun and gives you something you don’t get to hear as much. A trio between three men ("Sincerely, Me" anybody?), Lizzie’s father, H.C. Curry, and her two brothers, Noah and Jimmy. Nice harmonies at the end, and definitely something that could be performed in a concert/cabaret setting.
A few things happen: Lizzie gets her “I Want” song, addressed to Love, so she can get her a mans. The dudes sing about poker and stuff (which is actually a fun number, and a great example of a “Blow High, Blow Low” male ensemble number).
Then the male lead is introduced. Bill Starbuck(s)(?) claims to be a rainmaker (what about a coffee maker? wow now I need caffeine). He leads all the townsfolk in a SUPER DUPER FUN ensemble number that I honestly love, simply titled “The Rain Song”. It’s so exciting and something that you can listen to to get your blood pumping. WOW Ron Raines’ voice. Ooft. Love it.
“You’re Not Foolin’ Me” is a fun duet between Lizzie and Starbuck where they are doubting each other to the point that it’s comical, sort of Beatrice and Benedick meet “Anything You Can Do”.
“Raunchy” is the ultimate definition of a hoot. I don’t need to say anything else. Just watch Audra McDonald do cartwheels at Radio City Music Hall.
“Old Maid” serves as Lizzie’s nervous breakdown that she truly might never find love. She’s just met this guy who she thinks she might like, but she’s not sure, because she’s never really had a chance before, and now he comes along and she doesn’t know what to do, so she just resorts to imagining the thought of being alone forever. This is a fantastic example of amazing songwriting, from changing meter, repeated themes, chord voicing, orchestrations, character arc, everything. This is a great example of a song to give a superstar Soprano who has some fantastic acting chops.
Act Two traditionally opens with an ensemble number *squeals in excitement* called “Everything Beautiful Happens at Night”. It gave me some “Clambake” vibes, as it was written in waltz time, and has some really beautiful and interesting harmonies that just fed my musician soul like I had some Cracker Barrel. Then there’s a fun dance routine with either tapping or softshoe that sounded like tons of sweat, or as my high school theatre teacher called it, success.
Starbuck gets a really nice solo called “Melisande” which is a sort of tale he tells Lizzie. I’ll have to listen again to get specifics yikes but y’all know.
“Simple Little Things” is a nice little (kind of redundant, but still beautiful and necessary) solo for Lizzie.
Kristin Chenoweth made a little appearance in “Little Red Hat” which is more or less of a throwaway duet with one of Lizzie’s brothers, whom she is dating.
The Finale culminates in an enormous celebration by the ensemble when the rain finally comes and the temperature drops from 110 while they’re in the shade to a melancholy 100 in the shade. RIP I guess. The number has some fun A-flats for the Tenors and Sopranos. An interesting ending to a genuinely fun show.
Audition Songs
Cool thing about future posts. Most of the shows that I post about, I have access to vocal scores for, so if you’d like PDFs of songs for auditions or anything, just let me know, and I’d be more than happy to send to you! YouTube links will be posted with the title of the song.
Regarding this show in particular, while I mentioned that this is not in the Golden Age, per se, this is still a perfect show to take to an audition that asks for a Golden Age song.
“Love, Don’t Turn Away” - Lizzie, D4-F5
The song has a charming quality. Good idea for auditioning for a Rodgers and Hammerstein show, like Cinderella. It’s for a Soprano, but can easily be sung by a Mezzo, as it doesn’t go too high.
“Raunchy” - Lizzie, G3-Ab5
This song is so so so so so funny. Coincidentally, this would also be good for a Rodgers and Hammerstein/Bock and Harnick/Lerner and Loewe audition. Maybe something along the lines of Amalia Balash or Eliza Doolittle. The song is for a soprano. The situation is that she’s explaining to her dad how she’s gonna get her mans. There are some harmonies at the end between her and her dad that could easily be cut for an audition. That’s where the high Ab happens, so if you choose to cut the section where they sing the “Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo”s, the song goes up to a G5, which is only a half-step difference.
“Old Maid” - Lizzie, B3-G5
This song is featured in the infamous The Singer’s Musical Theatre Anthology: Soprano, Volume One. Disclaimer: I’m not hating on the series of books; I’m hating on the idea that many voice teachers across the country simply choose the same songs for their students to sing. While this is in the anthology, It is more of an unpopular one. Which is good *maniacal laugh*. This is a great song to show your dramatic acting ability, ladies. It’s an awesome song to take to a Weill or Bernstein audition because of its opus nature, but also it’s great to bring to an audition for the composers and roles mentioned in the above paragraph. This is a fantastic song.
“Melisande” - Starbuck, G2-G4
This song is pretty range-y, but it’s a story-telling song. It’s a good song to have fun with. Very appropriate for a Baritone or Tenor.
“Simple Little Things” - Lizzie, B3-E5
Not much to say about it other than I think it’s really pretty. Starbuck has a weird line at the end you can cut if you use it.
To Wrap It Up
This is actually a really fantastic show. I love the plot. Lizzie really grows up over the show, and shows that even people who are a little silly can find love too. This show is a really good choice for high schools. You can cast it as big as you need by adding to the townsfolk. Not sure if they have a lot of individual lines, but it could be solved easily. The revised version, offered by Tams-Witmark only has twelve characters. Crizzazy. I know the original version, also offered by Tams-Witmark has a similar get-up, but gives the option to add more to the ensemble. If you’ve got a dynamite soprano who can act really well, this is the way to go. It’s a very accessible show, and something that could really bring a group of people together.
Get it.

Eight Questions With.. Tim Donworth
The sun is shining, the water is cool and clear and the time to jump into the French Racing ocean has arrived!! Fresh from the first meeting back at the golden nugget of French Hippodromes, the ink in our notebooks isnt yet dry but the tracker and potential Classic horse list has been added to and added to.  It is difficult to remain calm and not get overly excited about horses but when the boss of this weeks interviewee provides fresh and hot quotes like, “He will be in the top 3 and will WIN the Grand Prix in July” then turfistes get a free pass to GO and collect chances on the way.
This week’s guest is Tim Donworth, he is a vital cog in the Jean Claude Rouget machine that continues to produce winner after winner. As always, I am eternally thankful to him for his time and effort! Disclaimer - the questions were asked before the recent performances of Divertissement and Cheshire Academy!
Eight Questions With Tim Donworth!
Tumblr media
AH (Ande Humphrey): Firstly, what is it like to work with/alongside one of the most respected trainers of them all Jean Claude Rouget?
TD (Tim Donworth): Working for M. Rouget is excellent, he is one of the most successful trainers in Europe and I have certainly taken many things from his operation that I will utilise once I start training. I considered myself very lucky to have had the chance to work with him and his team who have been so successful down through the years.
Tumblr media
AH (Ande Humphrey): The operation he runs is split between Pau and Deauville - can you give us an insight as to how this is managed? Is the string split in half for example?
TD (Tim Donworth): The operations is as you stated split between Pau and Deauville, the boss will split his time between the two locations depending on gallops and races and the day to day management is handled by his assistants, Jean Bernard Roth in Deauville and Jean Rene Dubosc in Pau.
Tumblr media
AH: Onto the horses! Divertissement has had a great start to the season and is a real eye catcher. What are the thoughts on her in the yard and does she have a big target for the season?
TD: Divertissement will run in the Prix Penelope at Saint Cloud (Finished 5th), she has looked very impressive in her previous runs at Cagnes and Bordeaux.
Tumblr media
AH: Peter Brant has plenty of horses in the yard - Russian Camilla and Cheshire Academy are two well known ones but can you tell us of any that we should put in the trackers. (Cheshire Academy has since win the G3 Prix Noailles)
TD: There are lots of exciting horses to come, personally I like a two year old filly called Long Ridge Road for later in the season.
Tumblr media
AH: Looking at well bred horses, Pitch stands out for the Gainesway owners. A half to Polydream, have you seen her and if so, how does she look compared to the other 2yos?
TD: Pitch is a beautiful filly and looks like a real athlete, here’s hoping she’s as fast as her sister!
Tumblr media
AH: Last season was as special as it gets for JCR - how is the mood in the camp going into this season?
TD: The mood in the camp couldn’t be better having already had excellent results during the meetings in both Pau and Cagnes sur Mer during the winter months, expectations are now high for the summer ahead of us.
Tumblr media
AH: What are the goals for this season for Team Rouget? More Classic and Arc success or something else? TD: Like all stables everyone would love to win more races like this, that’s why we all get up so early and work so hard every day
Tumblr media
AH: Finally, Racing is well and truly in your blood - from Roundhill Stud to Flying Start and on to Nicolas Clement. Would you like to train in the future?
TD: I am starting training this year in Chantilly. I plan to finish with M. Rouget in August and hope to have my first runners before Christmas, it’s an extremely exciting time for me as I start to get things prepared in the coming months.
---
Back soon with another guest and 8 more questions!!
Thanks for reading!

GOGO DanceList 4.3.2021
Welp here to dance the wonderful tunes that made this historic genre so damn FUNKY! Since my hiking partners have been out this week I’m dancing to 9 songs rather than the usual 6 cuz my body gotta move MOSTLY because Ive been editing art and music from my computer and well, you know -THAT SHIT AINT RIGHT! I swear I can feel my body loosing mass every time I spend an entire day working at the computer, sitting on my ass. Sooo now is the perfect get up and get funky time. After all, I gotta get back to the chair dang it, because these videos, music tracks, art pieces and memes aren’t gonna make themselves.
Honorable mentions and the complete LACK of documentation of bands from this genre: So the biggest honorable mention goes to the GoGo band The Junk Yard and would have been included on this list if I could find a decent live recording or full video of one of their songs. Alas I couldn’t find anything even halfway decent. There’s very little footage of them back in their heyday and only partially which is a serious travesty of justice for this mega innovative DIY band that even appeared as a cameo in the cult film, Tougher Than Leather. Anyway, I feel impelled to quote Wiki about them because their recordings are indeed splendid. I’ve also included a link to their movie cameo and a transferred to wav from record link of their best known song, “Sardines and Pork and Beans”
The Junk Yard Band started out in 1980 as a group of kids (as young as nine) from the Barry Farm, Washington, D.C. projects. Unable to afford instruments for their band, they fashioned drums out of empty buckets and traffic cones, tin cans substituted for timbales, and, in place of a brass section, they used plastic toy horns. Adding real instruments to their gear a little at a time, by 1985 they had joined the ranks of D.C.'s finest; they were scooped up by Def Jam, who released a Rick Rubin-produced single "The Word" in 1986. Not much happened with that record—at first. However, within a year or two of its release, the flipside, "Sardines", became (and remains to this day) the group's signature song. It was even performed in the 1988 film Tougher Than Leather.
Movie clip cameo from Tougher Than Leather:

Sardines!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HCX8D7KpdQ
Anyway, besides The Junk Yard band, it seems like this genre is inadequately documented overall, which is a damn shame.

Club Nouveau - Situation Number 9 &  Why You Treat Me So Bad?
Even though I was well into my weirdo goth phase by 1987, Club Nouvea and similar sounding R&B bands were still on my radar and I really loved the bassline in “Why You Treat Me So Bad?” This was about almost 2 years before I started sneaking into the gay club Crackers and dancing with my amazing divas, knowing these songs came in handy on the dancefloor.

Legacy of Mariah’s Storm
 (Mariah’s Storm photo: Tony Leonard)
As a racehorse, Mariah’s Storm had such an inspiring story that Hollywood based the movie Dreamer on her. She was a very well-bred filly and after a nice win in the G2 Arlington-Washington Lassie, it looked like the sky was the limit. Sadly, she broke down with a fractured leg in her next start, the G2 Aclibiades.
Her connections refused to give up on their beloved filly, and a year later Mariah’s Storm wasn’t just back to the races, she was back winning. She won her first 3 comeback races, including the G3 Aksarben Oaks & G3 Arlington Heights Oaks. She came back again at 4 and added wins in the G3 Arlington Matron, G2 Turfway Park BC Stakes & G3 Falls City Handicap before retiring. All-in-all, Mariah’s Storm had a 10-2-1 record from 16 races and over $700k in earnings.
But her remarkable race record was only the beginning. As a broodmare, Mariah’s Storm isn’t just a good one, she’s a great one.
Her produce record:
1997: Giant’s Causeway (by Storm Cat)  This European Horse of the Year needs no introduction. He raced 13 times, winning 9 and finishing second in all the rest. He won over £2million and nearly became the first European-based horse to win the G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic when Tiznow beat him by a nose. His biggest wins are the Gr1 Irish Champion, Gr1 Juddmonte International, Gr1 Sussex, Gr1 Coral-Eclipse, Gr1 St Jame’s Palace, Gr1 Prix de la Salamandre. As a stallion, his impact has been immeasurable. He’s been the leading sire in the US 3 times, siring 31 individual G1 winners, and champions in Europe and North America.
1998: Freud (by Storm Cat) Unlike his amazing brother, Freud struggled to win, only visiting the winner’s circle once and earning less than $50k on the track. But, thanks to the success of his older brother, Freud was given a chance in the breeding shed and greatly rewarded his connections. Freud has sired more than 50 stakes winners, and has dominated the NY-stallion ranks.
1999: Roar of the Tiger (by Storm Cat) Unlike his big brothers, Roar of the Tiger raced primarily in the US. His best wins came at the allowance level. He sired a handful of stakes horses in Florida before dying at the young age of 11.
2000: Wordsworth (by Deputy Minister) He raced 4 times in Ireland without hitting the board. I can’t find a sire record for him.
2001: Tumblebrutus (by Storm Cat) His only win was in a maiden, but he did finish second in a Gr2 in Ireland. He's been standing in Chile after not making a mark in the US.
2002: Tiger Dance (by Storm Cat) He only ran 5 times, winning first out and at his best was third in a Gr3 in Ireland. He is having some luck as a sire in South Africa, getting some stakes horses.
2005: You’resothrilling (by Storm Cat) The very first filly born to Mariah’s Storm! She raced 7 times and won or placed in 4 of those while competing exclusively in group-level stakes in Europe. Her best win was in a Gr2 at Newmarket. As a broodmare she’s been amazing. She’s the dam of European champion Gleneagles, Gr1 winner Happily, Gr1 winner Marvellous, Gr2 winner Taj Mahal and G1-placed Coolmore.
2006: Pearling (by Storm Cat) She ran only twice - finishing second on debut and never winning. Pearling has produced three foals so far, including multiple Gr1 winner & millionaire, Decorated Knight.
2008: Love Me Only (IRE) (by Sadler’s Wells) Love Me Only was from her legendary sire’s second-to-last foal crop and was never raced. Her best foal so far is Storm the Stars - a Gr2 winner. She’s was at the center of a lawsuit around her $2.1million dollar sale while pregnant with Storm the Stars.
2010 Hanky Panky (IRE) (by Galileo) She raced 15 times, winning just once and placing 3 more times. None of her foals have raced yet.
2012: Often (IRE) (by Galileo) She raced twice without hitting the board. None of her foals have raced yet.
2013: Fabulous(IRE) (by Galileo) Can’t find info on her.
2014: Butterflies (IRE) (by Galileo)  She’s run 10 times with 1 win and 3 placings. Her best so far was a second in a Gr3. Butterflies ran last in June of 2017
Being the dam of Giant’s Causeway alone would have cemented Mariah’s Storm’s place in the history books, but the production record of her daughters took things to another level. That she has 3 daughters under 6 means we may have only seen the tip of Mariah’s Storm legacy iceberg.

Pontiac keys replacement in Bloomfield NJ
If you broken your key in the ignition or lost all your vehicle keys, you have a number of options to get a brand-new set of Pontiac key replacement:
Driving to the Bloomfield NJ provincial dealership is some times apparently a cost effective or quick possibility to form a brand-new key by the vehicle ID number, but in several situations (for example General-Motors) the dealer-ship want you to get an authoritative car registration or title with an equal street address on the owner ID. In several other scenarios, the dealership have no access to previous key codes by the VIN (for example Lincoln, Ford and Mazda), the dealer might construct compensation keys just for types from the previous 10 years.
On top of the limitation above, in varied incidents, your car is locked on the expressway in a boondocks area, with a broken key in the ignition or locked with the key in the truck and to choose the dealer-ship will add close to additional $100 for a tow truck service.

In 2007  Pontiac accept the Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) with remotes, smart key and push-button start to implement accepted purposes  like pressing a dial to open or close the doors besides push-start ignition or keyless entry.
Ignition lock repair
The Pontiac ignition switch utilize 3 phases that power on specific instrumentation when the driver turn the key. The ignition cylinder will power on the electric units on the first stage, power on the fuel supply on the 2nd stage and flare up the car engine on the third stage.
One of the most frequent question drivers ask us over the phone to assist with,  ignition  problems. While our agent are usually happy to tackle and troubleshoot your scenario, it can be pretty hard to perform over the phone. Apart from carrying specific Pontiac diagnostic and lock-cracking tools, an elemental proficiency of how car ignition  function is required, though before you call an ignnition expert please check the options below:
dash-board light are off
If you turn the ignition switch on but lights doesn't turn on on the dash board which actually means that no electrical power running from the car battery. It could be a dead battery or some times a bad electronic wiring connection or alternator could cause this. Turn on the headlights, if they wont light on, means the battery is dead which is a task for a  mechanic shop.
Ignition key wont turn
Majority of car consists of a steering wheel locking mechanism that lock itself when ever you pull the key out of the ignition  at the end of a drive. Frequently, the steering wheel can lock in a position that employs tension to the ignition , and prevents the key from turning (when you park on a hill) or when one of a two front wheels is pressed against something (e.g. pavement rock).
Note - Before you start troubleshooting this issue, make sure that your car has the parking brake applied.
Grab the car wheel and try to swing the  steering wheel  back and forth and right and left altogether with gently shake right and left the ignition gripping the key - which might help in releasing the steering column.
The ignition is one of the most important part of any motor vehicle and consisting of manifold tiny components that can be tough to inspect by an unqualified personal, so the only thing a driver can do bumping into ignition cylinder  issues is to ensure you’re in fact attempting to start up your very own vehicle and ask a vehicle keysmith to come out to your place of choice to repair, rekey  replace the key or ignition which will priced as about $155–$340.
Transponder key create
Two decades ago and possibly even prior to this, a lot of car manufacturers has started equipping prerequisite electric immobilised car main computer and chipped keys lock and key in their vehicles as an added safety feature to put an end to vehicle larceny.
A transponder key bring extra safety that the regular car key can't. In addition to cutting the key, the chip into the key cap has to be coded to be in sync with the engine control unit for your motor vehicle engine to activate.
Recently cars are employing electronic key-lock, car thievery was mostly shunned, though restoring a stolen and lost key or even simply duplicating a key demand programming of the immobilizer by a compatible key programmer owned by a locksmith or the dealer, hence turned to be highly pricey.
Pontiac keyless device
Pontiac keyless entry device let a driver to lock and unlock the door to your vehicle besides lighting up the car yet avoiding utilizing a key, and beginning at 2007, a lot of Pontiac cars in the market are equipped with some kind of a smartkey technology that accommodate a short range remote transmitter.
With a key-less entry, access to your Pontiac is most commonly obtained by delivering an audio and infrared waves indication message from a remote transmitter to a car main computer on an encoded data stream when the user merely swinging by within a distance of 5 feet of the vehicle with the proximity key in the pocket or on a key ring.
This combination of audio and infrared indication message and the Pontiac smart-key infrastructure, moreover enable push-button start ignition (also called Crash starting or Push starting). Using this system a driver is able of running a vehicle  by pressing a push buttons on the dashboard in lieu of twisting a key in a crack-hole.
Copy vs lost car keys
The actual process of cutting and programming a car key differ among different models and year of the vehicle. For some vehicles, dashboard programming might be used to program a copy key. This process ward off the obligatory overpriced computer equipment and codes when matching a new chipped key to the vehicle. Models who don't provision Control board programming  outline need to have a backup key programmed employing a dedicated computer equipment that is available solely to Pontiac dealer or a lawful locksmith.
This programmer priced as about a few thousands of dollars to own which is major reason having a chipped car key is way more expensive to simply cut an old-style metal bladed key.
If you misplaced your last car key you will need to get your vehicle towed to the dealership or ask a locksmith to come out to your place of choice to re-code the vehicle computer to adopt the new key and dismiss the lost one. This rekey process requisite ownership documents like title, insurance or registration and will priced as about $185–$270.

Production Eras
Generation Zero (Ladder of Ghosts) All dagnyds prior to Jelly. Referred to by the [staff] as The Ladder of Ghosts because of how each failure built on the last, like the rungs of a morbid ladder. G0 had the longest production period of any subsequent generations, having lasted nearly a decade.
Generation One (Pre-Ibis) The first handful of Dagnyds born before the creation if The Ibis. None of which possess any special militarily valuable capabilities. Jelly, Lillie, Maggie, and Pup comprise the entirety of G1. Nub was born towards the end of this period, however, their existence was never officially registered.
Generation Two (Ibis) The only generation to produce only one Dagnyd. Gets its own post.
Generation Three (Post-Ibis) The point at which Dagnyds were made with weaponizable properties in consideration. All Dagnyds produded during this period represent imperfect prototypes, tests, experiments, and ideas. G3 is the most diverse generation, including Imp, Maya, Peaches, Peony, Crumb, Oleander, Nora, Punks, Gnat, as well as numerous others.
This is the point where the periods become less linear and start to smear together. Some G4s are younger than G3s, and such. The last year of G3 before G4 and the initial twilight period between them is when the main story is set.
Generation Four Polished, weapon-quality Dagnyds based on the ‘better’ G3 models.
Generation Five Hypothetical G4 models further refined for mass production. The only fertile Dagnyds.

Frustration can be a very powerful source of motivation. In Muhammad Imran Abdullah’s case, it was what spurred him to open Positano Risto, a halal restaurant in Singapore serving authentic Italian food.
“What I actually realised was as Muslims, when we travel around the world, we don’t have a Western food chain that caters to halal diets, so when we go to places like London, New York and Tokyo, we can’t walk into any Western chain restaurant and eat there,” he says.
So in December 2017, Imran and his brother-in-law Muhammad Ishak Ahmad decided to do something to address the persistent problem they had encountered during their travels. And that is how Positano was born in Singapore. The eatery serves true-blue Italian food, arguably the most popular Western cuisine on this side of the world.
“So we started this idea in Singapore, one of the world’s most competitive restaurant markets. Everyone laughed when we first started and said, ‘You are never going to survive without alcohol’. We don’t serve wine or beer, but we went to No.1 on TripAdvisor for Italian food and we’ve stayed there since we opened,” says Imran.
Positano is in a quiet corner of Publika, with shady trees outside.
Late last year, Imran and Ishak decided to venture to Malaysia, opening a Positano outlet in Publika, Kuala Lumpur, which has since become popular.
To put together the menu at Positano, Imran and his brother-in-law looked to the top Italian restaurants in the world for inspiration and then tried to “halal-ise” whatever they could.
As Imran admits to being extremely pedantic, the taste tests that were conducted to get the final results were nothing short of military operations.
The char-grilled calamari features perfectly cooked squid with herbs and a lively dressing.
“We tasted a lot of dishes with at least 10 people at each sitting in our focus groups and then we went through rankings and ratings and anything that didn’t get 9/10 average among the group – failed.
“Basically, everything on the menu has been researched to death. Some dishes have been sent back to the kitchen 17 times before they got on the menu. So yeah, we’re very, very fussy,” says Imran.
At Positano, nearly everything is made from scratch, from the pizza dough to the sauces, as Imran doesn’t believe in “cheating”.
The Malaysian outlet does deviate slightly from its Singapore predecessor in some ways, as there is a more extensive selection of desserts (the restaurant has an in-house pastry chef) as well as some meals that are not available in Singapore. While the Malaysian outlet sources all its produce from halal suppliers, it is still in the process of getting halal certification.
Start your meal at Positano with the char-grilled calamari with herbs (RM28.95) which features perfectly-cooked squid – tender and malleable with a slight char on the surface. The cephalopods are tossed with mint, parsley and chilli and dressed with garlic oil and lemon in what proves to be a sunny, lightly zesty affair that guarantees total, unfettered adoration.
Expect a star-studded offering that lives up to the super supreme calzone’s star-shaped looks.
From the pizza selections, opt for the super supreme calzone (RM59.95). The best-seller in Positano’s pizza range, the dough was perfected after 164 failed attempts! Here you’ll discover a lovely star-shaped pizza that offers a crispy, crackly exterior that gives way to a paper thin crust.
This foundation is topped with a motley crew of ingredients in the form of tomato sauce, mozzarella, turkey ham, beef pepperoni, burrata, parmesan cheese as well as pockets filled with mushroom and beef pastrami. It’s an indulgent affair that is so endearing and easy to enjoy that you’ll find yourself reaching for slice after slice with little regard for diet or decorum.
Fans of the underwater world will love the nuanced, sumptuous bounty of the squid ink seafood spaghetti.
Next up, sample the squid ink seafood spaghetti (RM44.95) which is essentially spaghetti tossed in homemade squid ink sauce and chilli, topped with tiger prawns, clams and squid. The spice levels can be adjusted to your preference but even if you choose the mildest option, there is a lively undercurrent of heat running through the veins of this meal. The squid ink itself is delightful – a lightly briny affair that thoroughly coats the pasta and forms a protective layer over the generous portions of seafood in the mix.
Creamy and rich, the fettucine carbonara hits all the right high notes.
The fettucine carbonara (RM32.95) is topped with beef pastrami, crispy beef bacon, chives, parmesan and a single, wobbly sous vide egg. Toss the entire concoction together and you’ll quickly discover a sure-fire panacea for a bad day. The pasta here is dreamy – everything coated in seductive creaminess and accentuated by the yolky goodness of the egg in the mixture. And while beef bacon can often be disappointing – many times too chewy or chalk-like – happily, this version is spot-on and remarkably close to the real deal.
The signature short rib is pretty good, but ultimately isn’t as memorable as some of the other dishes.
If you’re after something to really sink your teeth into, the signature short rib (RM78.95) is just the ticket. The braised hunk of beef is served with mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables and a mixed salad. The beef ticks all the right boxes – tenderly yielding and pliant, but it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi, which would make it more memorable. The same cannot be said about the mashed potatoes, which are really buttery, silken smooth and oh-so-good.
The signature ice cream brioche is indulgent through and through.
Take a dive into the dessert end of the menu with the signature ice cream brioche (RM36.95). The homemade brioche is deliciously pillowy soft (although some parts are a tad burnt) and pairs so well with the ice-cream in the mixture that even if you started out saying you couldn’t possibly finish such a mammoth portion, you’ll find the willpower and greed to polish off the entire thing.
Having tasted success with both Positano outlets, Imran is determined to open more as he is sure there is a large Muslim market looking for a trusted source of Italian food.
“We are in discussion with four different leading malls in KL to open our outlets. And we are looking also beyond KL, at places like Johor and Penang, as well as other countries in South-East Asia where there is a huge demand for what we bring.
“But we are taking it one step at a time – we don’t want to get too ambitious. We want to do things with quality and consistency and make sure the brand is grown at a rate that is sustainable,” says Imran.
Positano Risto Block C1, Level G3 Publika Shopping Gallery 1, Jalan Dutamas 1 Solaris Dutamas 50480 Kuala Lumpur Tel: 03-6411 3799 Open daily: 11am to 10pm

2020 Poule d’Essai Des Poulains Preview
It’s been a while. A long while. But we are back and giving it another go!
A tumultuous year off the piste has gifted us a titanic tussle on it. When all was rosy in the Racing garden, the French Government scythed down the ParisLongchamp plan for the Poulains. Fear not as the affable, enigmatic and folically gifted Olivier Delloye cleared the table and pivoted to a charming corner of Normandy!
Tumblr media
A straight mile for a Guineas? Wonderful idea! No UK or Irish based horses? Wonderful-(ish) idea! Not that they’ve won many recently anyway. No crowd? Well that’s pretty grim but rules are rules.
Onto the runners!
Tumblr media
VICTOR LUDORUM
Shamardal this, Shamardal that. Shamardal for you and Shamardal for you too! Victor Ludorum (a Shamardal colt) was an immovable object from the Winners Enclosure throughout his 2yo career. ParisLongchamp was his particular playground of choice, breaking his maiden there by 3.5L (that could have been a lot more) and having his finest hour in the G1 Jean Luc Lagardere beating Group winners Alson, Armory and Ecrivain of whom we will encounter next.
Posters were up, the word was out. Victor was back. May 11th, ParisLonghcamp - tune your TV and watch the Prince on his pathway to his crowning.
Drawn on the Phillipe Chatrier court at Roland Garros and given his relaxed style of exiting the stalls it was not a shock to see him mid division and holding his own just off The Summit. The shock however came at the long sweeping bend at ~600-800m. Victor pulled the arms out of Mickael Barzalona’s sockets. Previously keen at this point in the Lagardere it was much more pronounced but he settled somewhat entering the straight. It would have been quite the effort to peg back The Summit who had set off with a wet sail and he was nursed home by Barza for 3rd. The crowning has been furloughed.
Undoubtedly below his best and suffering from ‘Fabre-itis’ that punished the Petit General’s yard in the opening week, an upgrade will almost be demanded from him and an upgrade he will likely give us. Barza was quoted as saying, “I’m not worried about what happens next” - so why should we be?!
ECRIVAIN
Tumblr media
We’re blessed with 5 senses; sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. The brothers Wertheimer know a few of these closely, nay, intimately and on a grander scale than most can imagine. Smell, the fine scent of their grandfathers Chanel No5. Taste, the vintage rouge of their Margaux & Saint-Emilion vineyards. Touch, their (ahem) tasteful swimwear and lingerie collection. Sight, the hands ticking on their Bell & Ross chronometers. The remaining sense is hearing. Hearing their name announced as the winner of the Poulains has been absent since Falco in 2008. A period too long for winners like the Wertheimers. Entraineur Carlos Laffon-Parias knows all of this well. Victory in 2008 belonged to him also. Much like their Margaux, it was a vintage year for the Poulains. Rio De La Plata simply could not get near him.
Ecrivain is his latest project. 2/2 to start his career, including a G3 on just his second run, he finished 4th in the Lagardere whilst both catching the eye and frustrating his patrons at the same time. For his comeback in the Fontainebleau, look to the previous sentence and multiply. Simon Rowlands’ Sectionals show he should have finished closer and he probably would have had he not taken the sceneic route through the Bois Du Boulogne. It was one you sensed that Maxime Guyon would want back.
He isn’t shy to the front of the field, often sitting in the passenger seat beside the pack driver so look for him to be on the scene again at Deauville. The orders from CLP were to “Wait, Finish and Not Hit” - one would imagine Max will hear different ones next time.
THE SUMMIT
Tumblr media
Expecting Alson? Sorry not sorry.
Henri Alex Pantall trains the son of Wootton Bassett for Jacques Cygler at his staggeringly beautiful yard in Beaupreau around 400km west of Chantilly. The name Jacques Cygler may be memorable to you thanks to his wondermare export Sistercharlie.
The Summit does not have the sexy row of 1′s you get visiting the Victor Ludorum page or the 100,000€ fee you have to pay for a dance with Lope De Vega to produce Ecrivain but he has run, and run, and run. Up and down the distance ladder from 1300m to 1800m and another rung up to 2000m it seems the Cygler/Pantall equipe decided that the perfect spot is 1600m.
A win on his debut over the distance at Lyon Parilly and a second in a true slug fest at Saint-Cloud on poor ground he would never die wondering. Flash out the gate and prominent throughout is the method to which he lives by. This would prove to be a perfect tactic when teamed up with crack rider PC Boudot in the Fontainebleau. Yep you guessed it, the gates were open and he was gone. Out and away he played the field in a way Ivan Hajek would have been impressed with. Relaxed around the bends when others floundered, nose forward and ears back he sauntered to the 400m pole and found himself a length clear. That length then became three at the 200m pole and PC gave him a polite tap whilst observing those behind before giving it the full betting shop punter fist pump.
Pantall made it known he had grown and “thickened” over the winter. Another duet with PC Boudot has not materialised unfortunately but fear not, Olivier Peslier has been legged up and he isn’t shy of the Winners Enclosure. A victory here would complete the Poulains/Pouliches set for Alex Pantall and in consecutive years too. A summit thoroughly achievable.
THE OTHERS
Tumblr media
Contenders, are you rrrrready?!
Alson - The first of Andre Fabre’s two other contestants, he was 2nd in the Lagardere sandwich under Frankie Dettori before going on to on to win a farce of a G1 Criterium International at ParisLongchamp beating Armory. This will be his first run under the Masters tutelage but without a prep run and the original aim of Newmarket, could this be a stepping stone to something like the St James’s Palace Stakes at the (not so Royal) Royal Ascot? Hard to trust.
Arapaho - It wouldn’t be a Classic without the navy of Mrs Sue Magnier now would it?! Andre Fabre’s third dart at the board was given a slight headache over 1400m by Mageva but he was plenty worth his win and has one of the most wonderful actions. Untested at the distance and uncertainty around his rider makes me uneasy on his chances. It would be a special day for his breeder; Mme Elisabeth Fabre. The choice of PCB, the interest has already rocketed and his price shortened.
Celestin - Twice a winner for Fabrice Chappet including a romp of a Listed win at Toulouse on foul ground he was competent in his return at Chantilly behind Reshabar for the local owner/breeders Normandie Pur Sang. It would be the sweetest of wins for them but a shock result.
Kenway - An admirable foe if ever there was one. Frederic Rossi’s charge has put his gloves on, mouthguard in and gone through the ropes with all of the big hitters listed above. A particular distaste for The Summit would be permitted given his 5th in the Saint-Cloud slugfest and the 4th in the Prix Fontainebleau. You won’t miss him - coming late with his head in the air and thick milky noseband pressing through. A place option at best.
Reshabar - Far from a penalty kick for Markus Munch it would symbolise a rapid rise for the son of Ifraaj who defied 59/1 odds to break his maiden in a Class 1 race at Chantilly. On the day he was quite brilliant from the front but the same strategy this time will undoubtedly come with company. Field’s rag.
Shinning Ocean (Supp) - The Prix D’Escoville winner was parachuted into the race by owner/breeders Normandie Pur Sang for a tidy sum. His performance at ParisLongchamp was a mirror to The Summit with Soumillon tugging the field along at a sedate pace initially. Coming down the hill at ~650m, the Belgian decided to find 3rd gear to go a length clear. The revs at 1000m had subsided again and the paced dropped as he was joined by Warzuzu. A slap round the chops at 1200m and he was gone. Two became four and peaked at five lengths clear before the cigar and slippers were out. Soumi is back for more and he has a score to settle with Ecrivain and is a very interesting runner for Christophe Ferland who is chasing his first Poulains!
THE VERDICT
Point 1: Pace will not be an issue. The Summit, Reshabar and Shinning Ocean aren’t ones for hanging around. Mix in the potential pacemaker angle of Alson and it’s a bit of a free for all that could get out of hand. In the passenger seat you’ll have Victor and Ecrivain with possibly The Summit joining them too should the pace dial needle push towards breakneck.
Point 2: Draw. Draw. Draw. The previous Poulains run at Deauville saw Brametot win from Stall 3 and The Gurkha from Stall 11. Helpful. Given the reduced number of horses we could see them all go to the middle or to the stand side rail or split into two groups. Given the temper of some runners and a wide track at Deauville you don’t want to be drawn next a basketcase but you wouldn’t mind a bit of pace either.
Point 3: Jockeys. Victor - check. Ecrivain - check. Kenway - check. Reshabar - check. The surprise came when Pierre Charles chose Arapaho over his Prix Fontainbleau companion The Summit who will now have the ever consistent, ever classy and evergreen Olivier Peslier on top. Alson is a gift for Cheminaud so the tactics on him still mystify.
All of these in mind I will unashamedly be sticking with VICTOR LUDORUM. Visually superb in the Lagardere and undercooked for his return expect a reinvigorated version and with the Petit General’s form turned up to 11 he is the one for me. It is difficult to see outside of the other major contenders filling the places and of the two I would count The Summit as his biggest challenger.
A Shamardal for France and maybe a Shamardal for England too?!
A final note - it was a real shame to lose Helter Skelter before this race as he would also have been a worthy adversary to those mentioned in the article.

A History of the Lexington Stakes
By Emily Shields
The Stonestreet Lexington Stakes (G3) rounds out the Kentucky Derby trail for 2019. Horses like Anothertwistafate and Sueno will be using it as a last-ditch attempt to get into the Run for the Roses.
. Originally run as the Calumet Purse until 1983, it was the Lexington Stakes starting in 1984. The conditions have changed over the years, from a dash for juveniles to a 1 ¼ mile handicap for older horses back in the late 1930s.
Although the last Lexington winner to win the Derby was Charismatic in 1999 – 20 years back – it has actually produced some very serious horses over the years.
Risen Star, who won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 1988, used this race as a prep. Three years later, Hansel used it as a Preakness and Belmont springboard himself. Then came Touch Gold in 1997; the late developing colt ultimately spoiled Silver Charm’s Triple Crown bid in the Belmont seven weeks later.
Charismatic was 12-1 when he won the Lexington, then a grade 2, by 2 ½ lengths under Jerry Bailey. Bailey opted for the classy Worldly Manner in the Kentucky Derby, and it was Chris Antley who piloted Charismatic to a 31-1 upset. Charismatic would go on to also win the Preakness before being injured in his Triple Crown bid.
Todd Pletcher won the race three years in a row – 2008 through 2010 – with Behindatthebar, Advice, and Exhi. He’s also won it five times since 2005. Bob Baffert has only won it once, with Collected in 2016. He did not contest the Derby, but went on to be a grade 1 winner a year later and earned over $2.9 million.

Last year, My Boy Jack used a Lexington victory to propel himself into the Derby field. He unexpectedly went off as the second choice in the Derby and finished fifth behind Justify. My Boy Jack has only raced once since then, but has been training steadily for a return.

The 2017 Kentucky Derby Field!
1. Lookin At Lee 20-1
Lookin At Lucky x Langara Lass (Langfuhr) KY S Asumssen / C Lanerie 2-2-2 (9) $452,795
Lookin At Lee hasn’t won since August of his 2yo season, but has hit the board enough times to make it into the Derby Field. He’s the sort of horse who likes to lay far, far back and make one big run - so hopefully he can handle the dreaded 1 hole by breaking slow and laying back. He ran a decent second to Classic Empire in the G3 Iroquois in his only start over an off track.
Pedigree Note: His half-sister Battlefield was G1 placed on dirt and a stakes winner on turf.
2. Thunder Snow 20-1
Helmet (AUS) x Eastern Joy (GB) IRE S Bin Suroor / C Soumillon 4-2-0 (8) $1,627,541
Thunder Snow is the big, globe-trotting horse; when he enters the Derby gate, it will be the 4th country and 3rd continent he’s raced in. The colt has been classy from the start, running solidly in G2 Company in England on the grass and undefeated over dirt in his two starts in Dubai. He comes into this race as the only colt who’s run (and won) over 1 1/8 miles thanks to his very strong win in the G2 UAE Derby.
Pedigree Note: He’s a half-brother to stakes winner Always Smile & G2 winner Ihtimal. Their dam Eastern Joy is a half-sister to G1 winner West Wind
3. Fast and Accurate 50-1
Hansn x It’s Heidi’s Dance (Green Dancer) PA M Maker / C Hill 3-1-0 (6) $340,362
Fast And Accurate was a late supplemental entry to the Derby after he earned his way in with a win in the 50pt, G3 Spiral. This will only be his 2nd start on natural dirt, which he hasn’t raced over since running 5th against maidens at Parx. As a 3yo he’s been undefeated in both of his starts and is riding a 3 race win streak. His owner has made it clear the plan for him is to gun for the lead and try to hold it.
Pedigree Note: His dam is a half-sister to G3 winner Bwana Bull, G2 winner Bwana Charlie, & G2 winner My Pal Charlie
4. Untrapped 30-1
Trappe Shot x Exit Three (Giant’s Causeway) KY S Asmussen / R Santana Jr. 1-3-1 (6) $259,658
Untrapped hasn’t won since last November, but he’s held is own alright on the Derby trail. He finished 2nd to Guest Suite in the G3 Lecomte, and 2nd to Girvin in the G2 Risen Star before his people decided to leave the Fair Grounds and give Oaklawn a shot. In Arkansas he was 3rd behind Malagacy in the G2 Rebel and off the board in the G1 Arkansas Derby. He took to the mud well enough in his only try on an off-surface.
Pedigree Note: His dam is an un-raced granddaughter of Yarn. Yarn is a full-sister to Preach, the dam of Pulpit (Tapit’s sire) and the dam of G1 winner Minardi, G2 winner and important sire Tale of the Cat, Myth - the dam of champion Johannesburg,
5. Always Dreaming 5-1
Bodemeister x Above Perfection (In Excess) KY T Pletcher / J Velazquez 3-1-1 (5) $648,900
I wouldn’t be surprised if Always Dreaming ends up the favorite by post time. His score in the G1 Florida Derby was both among the fastest and most visually impressive of the big final preps. He’s also rolling into the Derby undefeated since turning 3 and moving into Pletcher’s barn.
Pedigree Note: He’s a half-brother to G1 winner & G3 stakes producer Hot Dixie Chick. Their dam Above Perfection was G1 placed.
6. State of Honor 30-1
To Honor and Serve x State Cup (Elusive Quality) ON M Casse / J Lezcano 1-4-2 (10) $382,548
State of Honor is tied with the maiden Sonneteer for the most pre-Derby start with 10 races under his belt. The handsome colt has been on the board in 7 of those races, but struggled to make it to the winners’ circle. He’s also had the unfortunate habit of refusing to settle early in his races, which makes me a little nervous for his chances in the 20 horse calvary charge. If he’s learned to settle he has a solid chance to make some noise in here.
Pedigree Note: His dam State Cup is a half-sister to G2 winner St Averil and his grand dam Avie’s Fancy was a G2 winner
7. Girvin 15-1
Tale of Ekati x Catch the Moon (Malibu Moon) KY J Sharp / M Smith 3-1-0 (4) $874,400
The Louisiana based colt was defeated only once in his short career, and that was on grass. He’s done nothing but run consistently well and swept the big Louisiana preps to be the top point earner of the year. It’s worth noting, that since the points system was implemented, each year’s top points earner has gone on to wear the roses, but at the same time the G2 Louisiana Derby hasn’t produced a Derby winner since Grindstone back in 1996. Word is that Girvin is also having some physical issues and has been swimming more than working lately.
Pedigree Note: His only sibling is G3 winner Cocked and Loaded
8. Hence 15-1
Street Boss x Floating Island (A.P. Indy) KY S Asmussent / F Geroux 2-1-1 (6) $462,601
The bright red colt has quickly gone from my favorite under-the-radar longshot to wise guy horse after the horses he dominated in the G3 Sunland Derby have come back to make serious noise in graded stakes. Hence hasn’t been a particularly consistent colt, throwing some occasional bombs. He did break his maiden in the slop, so if it’s as rainy as they say it will be Hence should be happy.
Pedigree Note: His dam is a half-sister to Canadian champion broodmare Pico Teneriffe - the dam of Canadian champion Marchfield
9. Irap 20-1
Tiznow x Silken Cat ( Storm Cat) KY D O’neill / M Gutierrez 1-3-1 (8) $772,600
Irap took his sweet, sweet time breaking his maiden. Even though he didn’t seem to understand what winning was, he still showed some class - finishing second to Conquest Mo Money in the Mine That Bird Derby, 2nd in the G3 Robert B Lewis, and 2nd in the G1 Los Al Futurity. Breaking his maiden with a gritty - if slow - win in the G1 Blue Grass was quite the shocker. Funny note - most of his worst finishes were when competing against maidens.
Pedigree Note: He’s a half-brother to G1 BC Sprint champ & important sire Speightstown.
10. Gunnevera 15-1
Dialed In x Unbridled Rage (Unbridled’s Song) KY A Sano / J Castellano 4-2-1 (9) $1,170,200
Gunnevera has been one of the most consistent horses on the Derby trail. His only off the board finishes came when he was a 2yo and didn’t get a particularly good trip, but he still put in his run each time. He’s been a dependable performer in the Florida prep series, running solid seconds in the G2 Holy Bull & G1 Florida Derby and getting a runaway win in the G2 Fountain of Youth. If he gets the hot pace setup he loves, Gunnevera is a serious threat.
Pedigree Note: You don’t often see Graustark as close as the 3rd generation anymore, but he’s Gunnevera’s grand dams’ damsire (say that 3-times fast)
11. Battle of Midway 30-1
Smart Strike x Rigoletta (Concerto) KY J Hollendorfer / F Pratt 2-1-1 (4) $290,000
He’s a late-comer to the Derby trail. Battle of Midway is up against he Apollo curse since he didn’t make his first start until the end of January. On the plus-side, he’s improved with each race, and seems to appreciate the extra distance he’s gotten each time. His 2nd place finish in the Santa Anita Derby was particularly impressive after he was the only speed left standing at the end.
Pedigree Note: His dam Rigoletta was a G1 winner and he has no line-breeding in his first 5 generations.
12. Sonneteer  50-1
Midnight Lute x Ours (Half Ours) KY D O’neill / M Gutierrez 0-4-2 (10) $284,445
Tied with State of Honor as the most experienced horse in the field, this inky colt also goes to post as the only maiden in the field. If he wins, he’ll be only the 4th horse to get his first win in the Kentucky Derby, joining Buchanan(1884), Sir Barton (1919), & Brokers Tip(1933). Granted, maidens don’t contend the Derby very often, with only 10 trying since 1937, including Trojan Nation last year. Word is Sonneteer looks gorgeous on the track at Churchill.
Pedigree Note: He’s by my favorite son of Real Quiet and his grand dam is Classy Mirage, a multipe G1 winning sprinter. His dam is a half-sister to G1 winner Dublin.
13. J Boys Echo  20-1
Mineshaft x Letgomyecho (Menifee) D Romans / L Saez 2-1-1 (6) $349,600
J Boys Echo has been another perplexing runner this year. One moment he’s doing a runaway train impression in the G3 Gotham, and the next he’s struggling to finish 4th behind a maiden in the G1 Blue Grass. If he puts his best hoof forward he’s plenty good enough to win the Derby - but which horse will show up on Saturday?
Pedigree Note: He’s a half brother to G3 Unbridled Outlaw and their dam Letgomyecho was a G2 winner.
14. Classic Empire 4-1
Pioneerof the Nile x Sambuca Classica (Cat Thief) KY M Casse / J Leparoux 5-0-1 (7) $2,120,220
The “Bad Boy” champion is going to give his people whiter hair than Baffert by the time this is done. When Classic Empire decides to put his mind to business and run, he’s been unstoppable - winning the G3 Bashford Manner, G1 Breeders’ Futurity, G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, and G1 Arkansas Derby. He’s won by open lengths, in a dog fight, on the mud, on a dry track, sprinting 4 1/2 f and routing 1 1/8 miles. When Classic Empire doesn’t feel agreeable, he throws his jockey (G1 Hopeful Debacle), refuses to train, and wastes all his energy throwing fits before the race (G2 Holy Bull). If he can bring his A game, we might see something really special.
Pedigree Note: His half-brother Anytime Magic is a stakes winning sprinter
15. McCraken 5-1
Ghostzapper x Ivory Empress (Seeking the Gold) KY I Wilkes / B Hernandez Jr. 4-0-1 (5) $410,848
McCraken looked like a monster in the making at the start of the year. He was an undefeated winner of the G2 KY JC at Churchill Downs and looked every bit a Derby winner in his 3yo bow - a measured win in the Sam F Davis. But then lady luck intervened and a minor physical issue derailed his Derby trail plans. He got it back together in time for the G1 Blue Grass, but couldn’t catch a maiden and was outrun by Practical Joke. He has a lot of class to fall back on, and should move forward off his disappointing Blue Grass.
Pedigree Note: His half-brother is a G3-placed turf miler. His grand dam Madame Pandit was G1 placed and the dam of G1 winning turf mare Mea Domina
16. Tapwrit 20-1
Tapit x Appealing Zophie (Successful Appeal) KY T Pletcher / J Ortiz 3-1-0 (6) $343,902
Here’s another colt that looked seriously special early on the Derby trail. He’s a gorgeous grey who looks every bit the $1.2 million spent to buy him. After breaking his maiden in second asking, he pulled away from Master Plan - the future G2 UAE Derby 3rd-place finisher - and was a fast closing second to McCraken in the G3 Sam F Davis. With McCraken out of the way, he exploded in the G2 Tampa Bay Derby. But then the G1 Blue Grass happened and he threw in a total clunker. The Blue Grass has been quite the undoing for several hot horses.
Pedigree Note: His dam Appealing Zophie won the G1 Spinaway at 2 and the G3 Silverbulletday at 3
17. Irish War Cry 6-1
Curlin x Irish Sovereign (Polish Numbers) NJ G Motion / R Maragh 4-0-0 (5) $699,460
The big son of Curlin is yet another horse who had to make a comeback from an inexplicably lousy race. He too was an undefeated, stakes winning 2yo who transitioned beautifully into his 3yo season. He looked like a future monster when he ran off with the G2 Holy Bull in his first start of the year, but then he didn’t pick up a hoof in the G2 Fountain of Youth. He got his redemption in the G2 Wood Memorial - winning with a strong speed figure and making quite the visual impression. As a son of Curlin, I bet he loves the rain
Pedigree Note: Curlin has had good luck as a sire of classic winners, with Palace Malice and Exaggerator. He has a lot of stamina in his pedigree.
18. Gormley 15-1
Malibu Moon x Race to Urga (Bernstein) KY J Shirreffs / V Espinoza 4-0-0 (6) $920,000
Gormley was a very classy 2yo who, like so many this year, has had consistency issues. His win in the G1 Front Runner was solid but he followed up with a total clunker in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. His 3yo debut was a very impressive, hard fought win in the Sham, but followed up by a blah non-effort in the G2 San Felipe. Most recently he pulled past Battle of Midway to win the G1 Santa Anita Derby in a slow time. He looks like the best of the California horses, and the West Coast has been killin’ it lately on Derby day. Also, if it rains - watch out. His best race was run over some rare So-Cal slop.
Pedigree Note: His dam Race to Urga is a stakes winner on grass and his grand dam Miss Mambo was G1 placed on the grass in France.
19. Practical Joke 20-1
Into Mischief x Halo Humor (Distorted Humor) KY C Brown / J Rosario 3-2-1 (6) $1,015,800
Next to Classic Empire, Practical Joke has the classiest 2yo record to fall back on. He won both the big NY G1 races for 2yo colts - the G1 Hopeful and the G1 Champaign. His 3rd place finish in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile was a solid effort to finish out his year. This year he’s struggled to get a win, but hasn’t had a bad effort. His seconds in the G2 Fountain of Youth and the G1 Blue Grass were solid enough. A lot of people question his ability to get 1 1/4 miles based on his pedigree.
Pedigree Note: His only inbreeding is to Halo (5x5), but his close-up family is pretty speed heavy.
20. Patch 30-1
Union Rags x Windyindy (A.P. Indy) KY T Pletcher / T Gaffalione 1-2-0 (3) $230,020
The one-eyed wonder is the talk of social media. He’s the most lightly raced colt of the bunch with just 3 starts and will be fighting Apollo’s curse since he didn’t debut until mid January. Patch has impressed, breaking his maiden with a big speed figure at Gulfstream, then finishing a good second in the G2 Louisiana Derby. A lot of Derby history is up against Patch, but he’ll be a definite fan-favorite on Derby day.
Pedigree Note: He’s a half-brother to G2 winner Tiz Windy.

Derby Tops Big Sunday Card at Sunland Park
A field of 10 three-year-old colts and geldings will head to the post for the $800,000 Sunland Park Derby (G3) on Sunday at Sunland Park in New Mexico.
The race produced Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird in 2009, and boasts its usual interesting cast of local runners facing out of state shippers.
#1 Mucho Gusto (8-5) was originally headed for the Rebel Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn before the Santa Anita closure affected all of Bob Baffert’s sophomore plans. Mucho Gusto is coming off a victory in the Robert B. Lewis (G3) on February 2, a 1 1/16 mile contest which he won by 4 ¾ lengths. The two-time stakes winner is three for four lifetime and grade 1 placed in his lone loss. The son of Mucho Macho Man cost $625,000 as a two-year-old. Joe Talamo will be in to ride.
#2 Anothertwistafate (3-1), by the late Scat Daddy, is a Northern California shipper for trainer Blaine Wright. The colt has won three races in a row since being stretched around two turns, including the El Camino Real Derby on February 16. That race got him an automatic berth to the Preakness Stakes, but Anothertwistafate is hunting Kentucky Derby points in this spot.
#3 Hustle Up (5-1) hails from the same outfit that produced 2018 Sunland Derby winner Runaway Ghost, trainer Todd Fincher’s barn. This local horse is making his 11th start here, and is coming off a strong, front-running victory in the Mine That Bird Derby a month ago.
With the top three entrants all speed types, #4 Wicked Indeed (6-1) could benefit. The son of Tapit is in for Steve Asmussen, and has been training nearby at Sam Houston after finishing second in the Mine That Bird Derby behind Hustle Up. His lone win was sprinting at the Fair Grounds on Novemebr 30.
#5 Cutting Humor (8-1) is Todd Pletcher’s entrant in here. The son of First Samurai is coming off a seventh-place effort in the Southwest Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn, which was his long off the board finish. John Velazquez stays aboard.
#6 Walker Stalker (15-1) was third in the Mine That Bird Derby after breaking his maiden on February 9. He has never been worse than third in three starts.
#7 Pasamonte Man (20-1) is another local, and a maiden to boot. The gelded son of Strong Mandate cost $75,000 as a yearling.
#8 Collusionist (25-1) started out in Colorado, where he broke his maiden and won a stakes race before shipping southwest to run in Arizona and New Mexico. He has not been in the money since August of last year.
#9 Diamond Blitz (15-1) is a California shipper for Keith Desormeaux; brother Kent will ride. The son of Munnings has never gone this far and has run half of his races on turf, but had a career-best Beyer Speed Figure last out when going a mile on the dirt behind Derby candidates Roadster and Nolo Contesto.
#10 Eye Cloud (30-1) rounds out the field. The son of Point of Entry is out of a Storm Cat mare. He is two for eight lifetime but zero for three this year.

About Pontiac locks and key mechanism
Pontiac is America's continental well-known vehicle producer of common cars and turn into being one of the greatest United States car manufacturer since 1926.
Pontiac began applying transponder chipped keys in 1999. Early  Pontiac chipped keys can be reproduced by an easy cost effective control panel duplication process.
Later designs according to year and model shifted it's lock and key instrument to an enciphered transponder keys that requisite a unique key programmer and diagnostic apparatus in order to copy a surplus key.
Beginning at 2007, Several  Pontiac designs are using Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) and push to start ignition as either standard or optional infrastructure.
Ignition cylinder repair
The Pontiac ignition switch use three phases that kindle specific system when the key is turned. The ignition switch will kindle the electrical units on the 1st stage, kindle the fuel supply on the 2nd stage and turn on the car engine on the third stage.
One of the most frequent thing drivers ask us over the phone to assist with, is diagnosing ignition system problems. Even though we are usually happy to try and troubleshoot your scenario, it might be very hard to render over the phone. In addition to having specific Pontiac diagnostic and lockpick tools, an essential understanding of how vehicle ignition system works is fundamental, yet prior to calling an ignnition key-smith please check following:
dashboard light are off
If you turn the ignition switch on and no lights turn over at the dash board which means that there is no power supply coming from the car battery. It could be a dead battery or some times a failed electronic wiring connection or alternator could be the reason for this. Turn on the front lights, if they wont work, it's in fact means the battery is empty which is a job for a  mechanic shop.
Key will not turn
Nearly all vehicle consists of a steering wheel locking mechanism that lock itself whenever you pull the ignition key out of the switch  when you finish a drive. Many times, the steering wheel can lock in a position that employs pressure to the ignition system, and prevents the key from turning (usually happens when parking up a hill) or if a front wheel is pressed with force against something (e.g. curb stone).
Warning - Before you start troubleshooting this problem, double-check that your car shifting gear is on park.
Grab the steering wheel and try to swing the locked steering wheel  right and left and back and forth during mildly shake right and left the ignition holding the key - this may help to release the steering wheel.
The ignition is very critical component of any car and consisting so many tiny components that might be wearisome to investigate by an unskilled hands, so the most a driver can do facing ignition or key issues is to verify you are really trying to start your very own car and schedule with a car lockman to arrive to your premise to repair, rekey  replace the key or ignition which will priced as approximately $150–$325.
Transponder key originate
Because of the large extent of vehicle theft back in the 90’s, majority of vehicle producers since approximately 1995 accept electric key and lock employing passive theft system, transponder chipped key or V.A.T.S keys.
The main idea of using transponder chip keys is to attain antitheft instrumentation where the car incorporate engine control module and the key incorporate a tiny chip hidden in it's plastic bill.
The moment the owner put the key into the ignition key-tunnel, indication code is transmitted to the car's computer. If the car's computer wont identify the signal, the car engine would not light up. Transponder chip keys means that additional to the fact that the key has to be physically shaped to fit the lock, it also need properly decoded to the ECM.
Pontiac smartkey
Push button start ignition infrastructure are equipped with a remote fob that a car owner can conceal in his pocket, briefcase or purse, or wherever within a distance of five ft to the immobiliser inside the vehicle.
The smartkey chip deliver a unique low RF indication message to the engine control module, which then makes sure that the match indication message has been transmitted and allows the user to remotely close and open the car door locks likewise click a push buttons on the dash-board to turn on or turn off the engine avoiding inserting a key or hitting a toggles on the fob.
While smart-keys and push button start ignition turned to be widely available, even on affordable vehicles, these systems are not yet  essential requirement as electronic door locks and windows, nevertheless, the comfort aspect is a dominant for many smart keys buyers.
Copy vs lost car keys
Car keys in the last 20 years there are no more $1.99 mechanical keys at your local home depot or walmart store. Newer Pontiac keys evolve into computerized  fobic key, smart-key, laser cut and switch-blade key consisting chipped keys that should be programmatically synced with diagnostic equipment to the car . If the immobiliser doesnt recognize a compatible transponder, the combustible system will block and the vehicle wouldn't turn over. This platform extends a security factor insuring the cancellation of a stolen or misplaced key.
While dash-board platform is available on few earliest designs to conveniently copy keys, generally to get a spare key programmed, the chip inside the key must be programmatically synced by a suitable programmer carried by the dealership or a locksmith which normally cost nearby $50-$120 on top of the price of the key blank.
A lost or stolen key to an automobile is a whole different manifestation, as the car computer module must be re programmed to employ the new key and deny the original one which means that you’ll must call a mobile car key-smith or tow your car to the dealership.
Utilizing this process extends a security factor insuring the cancellation of the stolen or misplaced key, however key recovery, instrumentation applicable solely to the Pontiac dealer-ship or a licensed locksmith and accordingly will priced as approximately $195–$250.
