Some Self-Reflection

Sometimes I think to myself -- and I know others must think this, too -- "wow, Oro/chi/maru and Y/ui Ko/mori are two very different people, how do those identities coexist in the same personality?"

Good question. I'm not entirely sure, but I can provide speculation, as I’ve been examining this quite a bit, recently. I assume this is a somewhat safe place to gather my thoughts, and reconcile two very distinct parts of myself. I apologize if this post is a bit haphazardly composed. It is off the cuff.

(Note: I will not be discussing Hiroyuki in this post. I may not ever discuss Hiroyuki publicly.)

I was tempted to borrow Freud’s model of the mind and ascribe Orochimaru and Yui to Ego and Superego, respectively, but the more I thought about it the more that line of thinking fell apart. Those identities do not fit in those boxes, but stretch between all three equally.

My awakening as Orochimaru was a long journey. I was barely familiar with otherkin and a close friend had opened up to me about being Nagisa Shingetsu. I had no connection with the community and wouldn’t until years later. So I embarked on that journey on my own and with the assistance of an individual I now refer to as a canonmate (even though I find that term somewhat incorrect for our relationship. I do not believe our bond was formed within our canons, but rather in this life in a way that has affected me deeply enough that I feel ‘sourcemate’ is too impersonal.), I discovered myself and settled in nicely. Rather deeply, in fact. I’m not sure whether this is a spiritual or a psychological foundation, but as time passes I find myself leaning towards my identity as Orochimaru being spiritually founded.

I am a curious being. I seek out experiences and information hungrily. Monotony can bore me, but I am not so shallow as to move on heartlessly from people. Puzzles, especially when those puzzles are people, are fun. This may be an unfortunate consequence of ADHD, but I lose interest in things, often quickly. Interests are fleeting and those that stick are cherished and held dear.

Sometimes I struggle to find my face. An aspect of ADHD called RSD is an influence that buries me deep to try to please others, for fear of rejection. Because when someone matters so much, you’d do anything to keep them from hating you, right? Anything to keep from messing it up?

I am familiar with scorn. This brain is particularly attuned to it, and will find it even where it is not. I struggle with this, as there are many people who would like to see my true face, and sometimes I lose it in the fear.

In terms of source parallels, I have:

- Been given up on - Scorned by my peers - Gone through a period of obsession with a singular goal - Had a thorough, decisive clash with a guiding figure - Rebuilt myself into a stable, comfortable state of being after hitting rock bottom

Orochimaru is who I am. Deeply, on a personal level, and I always will be. Even as Yui shifts become more prominent, I am Orochimaru.

My awakening as Yui was different.

In fact, I won’t even begin with Diabolik Lovers when talking about my awakening. I always had a fascination with vampires, since I was very, very young. It started with the Underworld movies and progressed as one would expect with a vampire fascination. Eventually, I got into Vampire Knight. Me and a whole group of friends did. In that way that young teenagers do, we each took up a different character as “ours” from it. I choose Yuuki Cross and I kept the name for years. In fact, vestiges of it still remain in my online identity. I eventually shortened “Yuuki” to “Yuu,” which is still part of the url of my main blog and I’ve only picked up “Merp” in the past couple years.

It definitely didn’t feel quite right, back then, calling myself Yuuki. There was something about it that didn’t fit, and I eventually did away with it, but of course she’s always been dear to me.

Now, to Diabolik Lovers. I watched the anime one day with a friend on a whim and we binged most of it. In waking hours, I had no real immediate connection to the show other than a morbid fascination. I had a dream that night, a vivid dream about a man who drugged me without me knowing, a simultaneously comforting and anxiety-inducing presence. I remember his fingers in my hair.

I still remember this dream. I went over it time and again. But that visceral dream stayed with me for years. I would stress about it. I would try to analyze it. It had been so emotional that I woke up crying. I wanted to hate the man in my dream but the only rancor I could muster was petty.

I found myself drawn to what I critically did not consider to be a good anime. I liked the boys. I liked the boys a lot. They felt familiar to me.

It wasn’t until years later, after I had already had my awakening as Orochimaru, that I was preparing to cosplay to a local convention and was describing the character of source!Yui Komori to a friend that I stopped mid-sentence and realized I’d used the same words -- exact same sentences -- to describe myself before. I had not considered that I could be anyone else other than Orochimaru.

This was an identity I had to consider for a longer time, as it doesn’t reconcile well with my past the way Orochimaru does. The closest parallel I can think of is parental abandonment. I did not have a very religious upbringing, mostly seeing church as a cool book club that I went to for fun until I realized everyone was serious, although nowadays I have found some faith again, but it is non-denominational and almost utilitarian, even teetering on agnostic at times.

I did eventually settle on the fact that I might be Yui Komori. I was unsure about the identity at first, because I, for the life of me, couldn’t pick out a significant attachment to any of the boys that wasn’t for them as a character.

Then, of course, I realized I was a dumbass. I don’t even remember the moment that the switched was flicked and I realized who I missed. I think I was just thinking about my reference albums on my (mostly unused) roleplay presets and looked at a Reiji sprite and got hit with a wave of yearning.

Further reflection and not taking that feeling for face value included a handful of different trains of thought. “A Certain Prophet’s Fate” is a song that has always managed to get me intensely hyped, even as far as pulling me out of dissociation. I have always been drawn to scientist-type characters. Shuu Iwamine. Szayel Aporro Granz. Sano Kojima. To name a few notable examples. But something was always missing. Something, something, something.

So I accepted the yearning for what it was. I missed someone. Someone I could probably find. Finding Reiji Sakamaki wasn’t the hopeless pipe dream that trying to find Sakumo Hatake is. It was something I could do.

For this, I made my Diabolik Lovers kin server, which was probably the most roundabout way I could’ve done this. I had very little expectations. My previous adventures with kin servers had been rather fruitless back when I claimed to be Sano Kojima before I knew the difference between a kintype and a c’link, and I’d been very disappointed by those claiming to be Akira Kojima.

I was a little surprised but, as stated, not expecting much when the man himself messages me asking for an invite. If you have any familiarity with the more serious and legitimate side of the Otherkin community, you probably know who I’m talking about.

I’ve been examining myself rigorously since, really. My job leaves me a lot of time alone with my thoughts, lots of time to get inside my own head and dig around. And I’ve found the parallels I was looking for.

The parallels are in my day-to-day, the person I am. The parallels are in joys of helping people, a preternatural clumsiness, a diligence, a dedication, often at the expense of my own health, which is somewhat of a flaw. The person I aspire and hope to be. A person that I believe I have become and may have always been.

I firmly believe this identity to be psychologically founded. I do not believe there is a spiritual aspect to this identity, which differentiates it somewhat from my identity as Orochimaru, which is how I reconcile the identities.

If I had to ascribe them into Freud’s model of the psyche, I’d say Orochimaru’s roots are in my Ego and Id, whereas Yui’s rooted in both my Ego and Superego. They each have tendrils in the opposite ends of the spectrum, as well. They tangle, they interlock.

Together, they make me. I am them. There isn’t a moment where I stop being Yui Komori. There are not days when I’m not Orochimaru. There are not days when I’m not Yui. It’s not determined by shifts. There are times when one feeling is a bit stronger than the other, but that’s just the reality of having multiple kintypes.

I am Yui Komori. I am Orochimaru.

... It feels really nice to have my thoughts in order.

Kaede: She likes a lot of the characters and has a hard time choosing a fav!! But secretly she likes Sayaka and Ibuki a lot because HEY SHE PLAYS MUSIC TOO!!! Shuichi: Kyoko is his hero, but he likes all the protags a lot! Sometimes, he tries styling his hair like a protag, but he usually gets too embarrassed to show anyone and shoves a hat over it. Kaito: HE LIKES HAJIME A LOT, OKAY! He thinks he needs to be more positive, and mumbles a lot of stuff to Maki about how he deserves a better sidekick (no one knows what this means) than Komaeda. He also likes Leon because Kaito has a ton of different interests too and hey, you should totally be able to switch your talent that would be epic! Maki She’s honestly not super into the games, and the anime sucked. She just watches it with Kaede, Shuu, and Kaito… but she guesses Mukuro’s talent is pretty cool or whatever,,, Angie ANGIE HAS 12 DIFFERENT IDEAS FOR FANGANS AND IS ALWAYS TRYING TO GET HER FRIENDS INVOLVED!!!!!!!!!!! Angie likes all the characters! Angie likes Mahiru the best though because she’s so dedicated to her work!! Korekiyo: No one really wanted to invite him into the friend group ‘cause he seems a little suspicious, but they needed someone to cosplay Komaeda when Ouma was sick… yeah… he’s a little TOO into DR, even for some of the more dedicated fans. He probably has a shire to weird ships too, no one wants to ask. Tenko: OH MY GOSH?!?!?! THERE’S SO MANY COOL GIRLS HOW COULD YOU ASK HER TO CHOOSE A FAVORITE…. AAAAAAAAA SHE LIKES ALL OF THEM LOTS AND LOTS!!!! Himiko: Eh, Himiko’s not a die-hard fan, but her gf likes it a lot and she does too, when it’s not scary! Hmmm… she doesn’t know all the characters’ names yet, but she likes the girl with the hair that looks kinda like an ice cream cone and her strong™️ girlfriend in the first game… they remind her of herself and Tenko!!! Ouma: Ouma likes Komaeda unironically, and everyone’s a little concerned. But… they do have to admit he does a dead on impression of him. Rantaro: “JUST BECAUSE I LOOK A LITTLE LIKE KOMAEDA DOESN’T MEAN I LIKE HIM, OKAY?!!?!” Rantaro, pretty much all the time. Rantaro’s a pretty hard core fan, and he’s even done voice acting for someone’s fangan that ended up being really popular! He’s almost like a celebrity at cons!! Rantaro usually doesn’t cosplay for that reason, but his favorites are probably Fuyuhiko or Hajime… he can’t pick one. Gonta: Gonta isn’t sure about the whole thing, and he thinks it’s very sad, but he does really like Gundham!! He takes such good care of all his pets!!! Gonta wants to take care of animals too, but his mom’s allergic… hmm… maybe something without fur?? Ryoma: A lot like Maki, mainly only watches because everyone else is. He thinks Makoto’s way too naive for a protag, and that it’s unrealistic he survived. He likes Hajime better, but his favorite is probably Nekomaru. HE COULD HAVE HAD A LOT MORE POTENTIAL OKAY! Kiibo: He doesn’t go to their school, because he lives somewhere else, but that’s okay because he’s THE BEST ONLINE FRIEND!!!!! He likes DR too!!! So it’s perfect!! His favorite is Makoto! He wants to be just that positive someday,,, though,,, sometimes that’s hard,,,Kirumi: Danganronpa’s okay, she guesses. She doesn’t really get why everyone’s so obsessed with it, but she really likes Celeste’s aesthetic. It was a shame she caught caught… she was easily the smartest character in the first game. Miu: They’ve banned Miu from watching DR with them occasionally because she makes too many comments™️. Ouma often refers to her as Teruteru, to which she gets very upset at because she’s “NOT FAT OR UGLY LIKE THAT COW” or whatever. Miu likes Teru a lot, actually, but she isn’t gonna tell Ouma that. Tsumugi: HOLY SHIT SHE LOVES DR SO MUCH YOU DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!! Junko!!! ENOSHIMA!!! IS!!! SO!!! HOT!!!! Tsumugi owns like 20 cosplays and wears them a lot, even if there’s not a con. She hosts a lot of DR themed parties at her house too!! And also writes fanfics! And does fan art! And and and- Tsumugi writes self-insert fanfics and has also been working on a fangan for all of her friends to be in too!!!!

Touken

- Touka tackles Kaneki and drags him back to bed in the morning. ;)

- Kaneki buys her a ghoul-friendly cake. Three tiers, like a wedding cake.

- Touka has bought him a first edition of his Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis.

- Kaneki tacles Touka and takes her back for an early night. ;)

Ayahina

- Ayato forgot it was Valentine’s Day. After cursing himself out, he races to buy her a card before she wakes up.

- She knew he forgot, but it’s okay. She has her own surprise for him.

- Ayato returns, having hastily scribbled his devout love in her card.

- Hinami has bought Ayato a parakeet. Ayato practically cries in happiness.

Akiramon

- Amon is as smooth as Touka’s coffee. Flowers, chocolate, Maris Stella to pat as soon as Akira awakens.

- Akira is ready to counter him with ghoul-suited food for him, sweetened with as much sugar as a ghoul can tolerate.*

- Takes Akira out to a spicy curry shop for dinner.

*Given that Kaneki originally ate sugar cubes with blood, I’m guessing ghouls can tolerate some sugar, and Akira is ON it.

Seiaki

- Takizawa is terrified that he hasn’t bought her enough chocolate.

- His heart-shaped box is half the size of Akira.

- Akira laughs and tells him thank you, before revealing they have plans to spend the day in a dog and cat cafe.

Takirona

- Takizawa is a bit shy, but he’s bought Kurona flowers and Touka’s magnificent coffee.

- She kisses him and tells him he’s more than enough to make her happy.

- They spend their night in, watching Netflix and cuddling and talking about feelings.

Mutsurie

- Urie sweeps Mutsuki off his feet immediately.

- He’s pleased when Mutsuki promptly knocks his feet out from under him.

- They’re discovered making out in the halls outside their room.

Shiraiko

- Shirazu is stunned to wake up to Saiko serving him breakfast in bed.

- When he asks her how she woke up in time, she cheerfully says she didn’t go to sleep, because he is that important to her.

- She of course then snuggles with him, cuddling and eating the feast she’s prepared (with Kaneki’s cooking help).

Hsaiko

- Hsaio cosplays as Saiko’s favorite manga character to wake her up.

- Saiko insists that both can be late for work. … Not for sleep. ;)

- Saiko runs around bragging about her sexy girlfriend, and consults Hairu for how marriage is best sprung to a garden ghoul.

Suzuhan

- Hanbee takes Suzuya out for ice cream.

- Suzuya takes Hanbee to the latest Disney movie. He likes it, too. By the end, Hanbee is sobbing into Suzuya’s arms.

- At home, Hanbee discovers flowers decorating his room.

Fururize

- Furuta is awakened by Rize love-biting him

- He will take her to an all-you-can-eat restaurant suitable for ghouls, and think himself the luckiest man alive every time she steals a glance.

- Rize: “Are you feeding me so I have the energy to dominate you tonight?”

- Furuta: *mews*

Nishikimi

- Nishiki: “Since you were okay with putting a bangle around my wrist, what if I put a ring around your finger?”

- Kimi: *eyes wide* “Nishiki-kun!”

- Nishiki: “I mean, I don’t have it yet. But I figured I’d ask. For future reference.”

- Kimi: “Now I’m half tempted to make you put it around my middle finger.”

Tsukikana

- Tsukiyama awakens Karren by sprinkling diamonds and gold dust on her.

- Karren has collaborated with Chie to get the best, most exotic food for Shuu..

- They dance the night away, until Karren suggests another form of dance. ;)

Higetori

- Higemaru’s a bit concerned Hakatori will find it dumb, but he would totally propose on Valentine’s Day.

- She says yes, then chastises him for giving her a present she can’t top.

- Her present, however, involves a concert and “Higemaru appreciation day,” in which she’s convinced all the Aogiri kids to make him cards.

Uihai

- Can you say PREPARED. Ui’s been planning their dinner at the best restaurant in town for months. He buys Hairu a gargantuan chocolate heart, which she promptly breaks in two for him.

- Hairu gives him tickets for a play Ui’s been dying to see, for the next weekend.

- Hairu suggests snuggles after they walk home.

Nakimiza

- Once Naki heard about this tradition of celebrating love, he ran around consulting ways to celebrate Miza.

- He throws confetti (supplied by Tsukiyama) on her, and she kisses him.

- “You know, you could have just wished me a happy Valentine’s Day and that would be enough,” says she. He then cries about how it wouldn’t be enough for Miza.

Arieto

- Let’s see, how can Eto troll the Reaper?

- bribes access to CCG for herself, then appears in Arima’s office yelling “boo!”

- Arima’s office door closes for the next few hours.

Utaren

- Uta is determined to embarrass Yomo.

- He buys him a ridiculously sized box of chocolates neither can eat, and a new coat

- To his surprise, Yomo has also bought him paint for masks. But Uta’s real treat is how flustered and flushed Yomo is.

Inazuma Eleven Revival Festival - Review!

WARNING - I will mark SPOILERS for Reloaded and the 2 Ares episodes below!!

Personal Reflection: I’ve been an Inazuma fan since roughly 2010, but TRULY became obsessive from 2013+ when I saw Kirino and fell in love. Inazuma has a special place in my heart because it’s one of my strongest connections to Japan. I learnt Japanese through watching, reading about, listening to and eventually translating for this anime. To actually get to go to an event which marks the start of a new Inazuma series was a dream come true. Being SURROUNDED by a sea of fans wearing cosplays, badges, scarves, uniforms… To know what we have in common is a love for this dumb sakka series - it felt amazing. It would be an even bigger dream come true to make friends with EVERYONE who also loves this series. I hope IE EXPLODES over the next 3 years and I 100% believe IT WILL. And I will do whatever I can to help the JPN-ENG translators!!

Apologies if I’ve forgotten anything important.

Okay! Let’s go!!

Attendees: There was about 2,000 people at the live event.

Before the Event: The merch went on sale from 10am, and you didn’t need a ticket to the event to queue to buy it. I arrived at 12ish and the queue looked to be about 2 hours long, so I decided I wasn’t interested in buying anything for once in my life. I’ll post a list of the merch later.

There was an area to trade merch and take photos with the cosplayers.

The doors opened at 2pm and the event began at 3pm.

START

It began with Endou explaining the rules: no filming, photography etc… during the event.

Then a ‘memory reel’ where they showed screens of all previous characters. Endou CHEER Gouenj CHEER Kidou CHEER Kazemaru HUGE CHEER Atsuya and Shirou HUGE CHEER Reize HUGE CHEER Go Raimon HUGE CHEER (and Araceli cries) Kirino and Kariya ENORMOUS CHEER Shindou CHEER Torb SILENCE… then laughter… Alpha, Beta, Gamma CHEER Fei CHEER Galaxy HALF ASS CHEER

Opening Songs

Preformed by pugcats and King Cream Soda. During the song, the characters came to the audience to dance. There was Endou, Gouenji, Kidou, Fudou, Fubuki, Hiroto, Kabeyama, Asuto and Kazemaru. Unfortunately they never went on the stage so we couldn’t see all of them. Endou high-fived a few people.

Introduction

Hino and Mo appeared. Hino said he’s so happy to see so many people gathered here to celebrate Inazuma Eleven, and the huge crowd is proof Inazuma is Avery loved series. Mo adds it’s been 4 years with nothing yet still so many people are here or watching the live-viewing. They introduce themselves formally - Hino as president of Level 5 and Mo as an employee - and Mo said she will do her best with Japanese today too (Mo, PLEASE your Japanese is AMAZING)…

Hino says this event marks the start of a new Inazuma series.

All-Star Cast Line Up

Guest stars were Nojima Hirofumi (Gouenji Shuuya), Terasaki Yuka (Matsukaze Tenma), Tomatsu Haruka (Nishizono Shinsuke/ Kudou Fuyuka, Hattori Handa) and Kamiya Hiroshi (Haizaki Ryouhei).

Tomatsu’s outfit was really pretty, like a long white dress-shirt and blue jeans. Kamiya wore a black and red jacket that looked really cool. By the way, he seems like a very funny person, so I was surprised he’s playing so many last boss characters.

Before Reloaded, there’s a recap of the story so far. Reize’s opening monologue. Fans went wild.

Hino says this will be the first time the voice actors (minus Nojima) see the completed episode, so they will watch it together on stage with everyone. The sit around their own TV. Tomatsu says it feels like being in a living room. Nojima comments there’s no drinks. Mo and Hino sit with them too. Hino says the reason they made Reloaded is because they had to have a reason to connect the original series to Ares.

Inazuma Reloaded Opening: Remastered Stand Up Tachi Agariyo

Raimon return after the FF. The whole school is so happy to see them. They’re crowded by fans. There’s a scene of Miyasaka hugging Kazemaru and the audience went nuts. Endou is so overwhelmed he runs to the toilet as an excuse. Kidou and Gouenji call him into the clubhouse.

Comment - Their body language is WONDERFUL! It’s so realistic the way Endou can’t sit still, or Kidou leans forward to speak.

Gouenji/ Kidou say next is the world as Endou gets excited over the idea of playing new opponents.

Hibiki arranges an exhibition match against Barcelona Orb - the team came from Spain to Japan for this match. The match starts and Gouenji tries Fire Tornado right away. It fails when the goalkeeper stops it with his finger then throws the ball back to Gouenji. They next try the Inazuma Break, which also fails. Kazemaru, Gouenji and Ichinose perform the Phoenix, but that doesn’t work either.

It’s shown Hakuren, Zeus, Sun Garden, Teikoku etc are watching the match. This got a huge reaction from the crowd.

Barcelona’s captain the rest f the team start to attack. The captain scores without using special moves. The score becomes over 8 (to zero) and Barcelona’s teammates tell the Captain to give them a taste of their real level. The Captain uses his special move - Diamond (don’t remember the second word, possibly ball) where he carves the ball into a diamond. It’s very beautiful. He scores before Endou can even react. Endou seems reluctant to pick up the ball after that shot, like he’s almost in fear - but that doesn’t last for long.

Raimon lose, exhausted, as Endou lies back and laughs to himself, reflecting on how great soccer is.

Raimon are called into an office to talk. I didn’t catch the guy’s name, but an official looking person tells them that Raimon vs Barcelona proves that Japan’s soccer is not at world level. He wants them to join soccer teams around Japan and strengthen Japan’s soccer as member of the strengthening committee. Endou agrees to it.

Raimon are gathered outside their club house, seemingly worrying. They don’t want to split up. Kurimatsu says it’s okay for the Captain and the others but some f the weaker members don’t feel they have what it takes. Kidou says no matter what happens they will all be connected by their hearts.

Domon and Ichinose are going to America, and the managers see them off at the airport. Aki’s wearing a cute pink hoodie. She’s mad that they’re going to America and tells Ichinose that he should represent Japan. Ichinose says he needs to gather strength in US before returning. He doesn’t know yet if he’ll play for a Japanese team or an American one.

Natsumi, along with the managers, are also given roles as members of the strengthening committee but it’s not revealed what they are. Natsumi has her laptop in any case.

Final scene - Break Trio are on top of the hill talking. Endou still doesn’t fully understand what a strengthening committee member is, and Kidou asks if he was can listening at all. Endou seems to have just heard the word soccer and agreed to it.

They say the next time they meet on the pitch they’ll be rivals. None of the 3 plan on losing. They part ways.

Closing theme:

Remastered Seishuu Oden showing scenes from the Raimon kids’ school life. E.g., Kazemaru and Makksu in class, the kids eating lunch, Kabeyama doing science, the team playing soccer…

There’s a chat session with the voice actors - their thoughts about the episode. Pretty predictable - it was very interesting and great and the animation and remastered moves were great. It’s commented that the leg movement for Fire Tornado is very different, because Gouenji is longer.

They talk a bit about the Captain of Barcelona Orb and the rest of the team. He’s not good-looking but still kind of cool - that’s the kind of character Hino wanted to make. Mo comments on his ‘bear eyes’.

It’s the new characters’ turn to be introduced. The voice actors Ayumu Murase (Inamori Asuto), Michinari Tatsumi (Kimura Ryouhei) and Hanae Natsuki (Okuiri Hiro) come to the stage.

A picture is shown of Baddap, Haizaki and a character from another anime he plays. They all have grey hair and tanned skin and are Last Boss type roles. Kamiya says Baddap was his first villain role and then his second Inazuma role is Haizaki. He wonders just how does Hino see him since he keeps getting villain roles?

Since the topic of villains comes up, a pic of all previous enemies is shown. Terasaki points to each GO character and says alien (Ozrock), future boy (Saru), ghost (Shuu) and human (Hakuryuu). There’s only one human, compared to the original series.

They go through the new 11 members. Some notable comments were:

Michinari - Hino says Michinari is a Captain like Shindou from GO with many worries.

Okuiri - He wears glasses like Megane’s but he’s a much more serious character.

Iwate - He and his voice actor look alike to the point it’s scary.

Mo and Hino say they feel like something is missing from this voice actor chat session - oh yes, Endou! Junko has left fans a message that will be played on the screen.

A word from Junko: She really wanted to come but couldn’t. She says she assumes Hino is talking and talking and talking. She gave her own proverb: everyone, please enjoy today’s event!

There’s a break for 30 mins where they showed Outer Code eps Hakuren, Teikoku and Sun Garden. Fans screamed for Shirou, Atsuya, Someoka, Hiroto, Midorikawa, the group of Sun Garden kids, Sakuma, Genda, Fudou and Kazmaru.

Inazuma Ares 1 (note - some scenes may be out of order)

Opening Theme: Teppen Mezasou! It was epic! The start focused on Inakuni Raimon, we see Haizaki’s GORGEOUS school uniform!!! Like a blue blazer ~ Sakuma, Aphrodi, Hiroto etc appear~

It opens with the Inakuni kids playing soccer. Goujin makes a shoot but Norika saves it. She said he’s getting better. Sasuke is watching them. They take a break. Norika says soccer is great: it can let you forget about all your worries. I think it’s Hattori who is surprised that Norika has worries. Asuto and Michinari decide to ask the principal if they can play a practice match against another team. The principal (Fuyukai) says instead the soccer club will be demolished because they have no sponsor)

Workers are demolishing the pitch. Asuto runs to stop them but they forcefully push him away. Eventually Michinari had to hold him back. Later Norika is bandaging him up. She said she understands his worries but he was too reckless. Asuto asks her is she okay with not being able to play soccer? She says, of course not. Kirina runs over saying there’s bad news about Asuto’s Mom.

Asuto runs to hospital. His Mom apologizes and says she can’t stay with him. Asuto is upset to lose not just soccer but his Mom too. His Mom assures him he won’t lose soccer - soccer will be there as long as he needs it.

Kirina wonders if Asuto will be okay as he runs off. They guess he is going to the highest point in the island. Asuto reaches the top of the hill and screams.

The next day the Inakuni kids are called into the office where they ware told if they can win one match they can get a sponsor if they transfer to Raimon. That means leaving the island and moving to Tokyo.

It’s revealed Sasuke is a recent transfer student.

The kids are shown wondering about their decision to go to Tokyo.

Hiura tells his Grandma he’s going and she comments things will get lonely around there. By the way, she calls him Ki-chan.

Hattori rides on top of Iwate’s back as he rides a bike. Hattori wonders if the food will be good in Tokyo.

Michinari is walking with his father. He feels like his Mom will protest if he goes to Tokyo, but his Dad assures him he’ll talk to her.

Mansaku is at his Dad’s sushi restaurant. His Dad gives him his specialty sushi, and tells him to eat. He says he won’t lose to the food over in Tokyo.

Norika, Hiyori and Okuiri are together that evening. They comment going to Tokyo would be Norika’s first time to ever leave the island.

Raimon vs Seishou. Sasuke makes the First Goal with Fire Tornado. This wakes up the Devil of the Field, Haizaki. He goes wild, scoring again and again. Their are 2 special moves - Overhead Penguin and the Death Zone. Kidou does not appear in this match.

Proverb: Soccer will be there as long as you need it!

Inazuma Ares 2

Haizaki and Seishou are beating Raimon. Agirls are watching the match from a box, making fun of Raimon being from the countryside. Anna tells them to be quiet.

Flashback to 1 week before Raimon vs Seishou.

Inakuni Raimon at outside the clubhouse. Norika tries opening the door but it won’t budge. They comment that Raimon/ Tokyo is very different to their island.

The group of girls come over (perhaps members of the student council? Managers?) with Mikado Anna, who introduces herself as president of the student council. The girls are dismissive of Raimon winning their match against Seishou, but Asuto says they will.

Next the kids meet Ootani Tsukushi (do you remember her? A game only character!) who is very bubbly and friendly. She shows them around the school.

The team get their uniforms and are very excited. Ootani is so excited she’s about to cry. They also get the Inazuma Band - a wristband that measures their exercise levels. It’s also a communication device - the coach can use it to contact them. He does so immediately, summoning them to the field.

They are surprised their Coach is from China. He said he prefers Kung Fu to soccer. He made them a crazy training schedule (think: worse than Kidou from GO). Like 100 laps, 100 push ups etc. He asks them what they have to do? Goujin/ Asuto say train and win their next match. Coach says no - they have to NOT LOSE.

The start with laps through Inazuma Town.

Back to the match. Haizaki’s still demolishing them.

Flashback to a new scene.

Haizaki is showering. Another boy comes in. You see the infamous goggles and Haizaki calls him by his name, so we know it’s Kidou. We only see the bottom half of his face and legs by the way.

Back to the match. Seishou win. Raimon are disappointed but Asuto says while they’re in Tokyo they should do something fun like go to Sky Tree.

Inakuni Raimon are at Tokyo Sky Tree. Suddenly Asuto starts crying. He wanted to play soccer more. The others start crying too, except for Sasuke who is annoyed they are crying in public.

A man walks over and introduces himself as a member of Island Travel - a famous travel agency. He says he he would like to sponsor Raimon. Asuto is surprised because they lost. The man says that the fact they were able to score even one goal against Seishou and the way they fought their hardest to the very end of the match moved him emotionally. There’s more than just winning and losing.

Asuto reflects. They may have lost but in the week before the match they trained all over Inazuma Machi, getting to know the local community.

So Raimon get a sponsor. The kids are so happy they start dancing and hugging each other.

Proverb: I can’t fully remember but I THINK it was something like, you’ll make your own future out of the path you choose to walk??

Closing Theme: All of Inakuni Raimon jump out of a scales in different poses. Then we see everyone’s ‘battle’ suits. Asuto - knight Nosaka - mage Hattori - Robin Hood/ Cupid Okuiri - Some kind of wizard Sasuke - Shirtless gladiator (by the way everyone laughed)

2 Questions from fans

Boy: Is it relevant that in the ending theme all of the players are divided into 3 'sets’ to showcase their battle armor? Hino says it might be.

Girl: She was very excited. First she said she loves Mo. Her question is - what’s up with Kudou’s redesign/ why is he coach for Seishou? Hino said, history has changed!

Voice Actor Talk: The VAs were asked to draw their most memorable scene.

Nojima Hirofumi: Gouenji didn’t appear! He is literally like… So… Gouenji didn’t appear??? Why am I here again?? I was looking forward to seeing him! He does add the episodes were very exciting, with no boring parts.

Kamiya Hiroshi: OVERHEAD PENGUIN and Sasuke. He said he wants to know what the balance of Ares is.

Kimura Ryouhei: Sasuke’s Fire Tornado. Mo comments Sasuke shoots Fire Tornado with his right leg but Gouenji used his left.

Hanae Natsuki: The ending theme where Okuiri jumps out of the scales, he makes a cute pose like 'kyaa’ waving his arms and legs. His VA is surprised because it seemed unlike him.

Murase Ayumu: Hattori riding on Iwato’s back

Terasaki Yuuka: Kogarashi Manor is brand new!

Tomatsu Haruka: The scene where everyone cries together! OR ~shower scene~ she drew a questionable picture of Haizaki showering. The way she drew his legs were awkward and looked like something… else lmao.

Mo comments that the pose Haizaki makes while he showers is very strange (head down, hands against the wall)

Terasaki comments that it’s strange Kidou took his goggles off in the shower of all places. She thinks they would be useful to keep shampoo out of his eyes.

Apparently Hino argued with staff over whether or not the shower scene was necessary. Hino felt it was.

Kamiya comments that he was watching the fans react to that scene, he’s like - I heard you! I saw your reaction to that! I know you liked that!

Hino reveals that since Ares is a parallel world he wants to redo the whole series up to FF International. He says he really wants Inazuma to run for a very long time.

Terasaki asks Hino to please make a new GO. Hino said he wants to. But this not an official statement, more like ‘if possible I’d like to do that’. Personal opinion - if IE becomes very popular I would say there’s a 40/60 chance of a new GO.

Future of Anime Preview:

Two picture were shown that showed future plans for the anime. One was young Hiroto and Tatsuya. It’s implied there will be an episode with them as children (personal speculation - possibly all the Sun Garden as kids??). Second was Haizaki getting very worked up over trying to win a stuffed bear from an arcade game (personal speculation - it’s not actually for him, but the girl in the flashback).

Game Info: It will be released on Switch, PS4, IOS and Android.

The showed gameplay: Inakuni Island, Raimon Chuugakkou, Match vs Seishou, Kidou running and tackling, Sasuke’s Fire Tornado. Quality was very high, like Breath of the Wild.

Mo made a comment that the story mode map looked very big and it seemed it would take ages for the character to run far distances. Hino said they are working on that.

Nojima: He said he can’t wait for Gouenji to appear. Why does Gouenji always keep us waiting?

Terasaki said she’s so happy to stand on the stage and play an Inazuma character again.

Mo said it’s an honor to stand on the same stage as Hino as a foreign Inazuma Eleven fan (Mo is from China).

Ending Live: Ryuusei Boy by a two girl idol group (name??). Then pugcats and King Cream Soda joined them to sing Saikyou de Saigo and Maji de Kansha. The voice actors joined in and the character suits too. Confetti exploded. Fans waved their glow sticks and cheered.

the last really good thing that happened to me? hmm...maybe.... awesomecon? it was my first ever convention, day after my birthday! i got to spend time with family i don’t usually get to see but really love, AND i got to meet a bunch of really cool cosplayers!

i ran off from my family waving at this guy that was dressed like a team skull member, and he was chilling on his own so he thought i was waving at someone else??? AND AT FIRST I THOUGHT HE WAS TRYING TO AVOID ME SO I FELT REALLY BAD ABOUT APPROACHING HIM but he was actually really nice and flattered that i wanted a photo with him, he was really chill and sweet hahahe had a rowlet plush with sunglasses on. i took the worst goddamn selfie with him of the whole con but its probably my favorite just because he was so fun LOL

i also stopped to talk to a bunch of artists and it was really funny to see them getting hyped about me getting hyped about their art, and then have that cycle back around because im so excitable hahaalso a really chill 707 cosplayer and a cronus!!! i loved everyone so much (’:

im not sure how it affects me especially today, but id really like to get together a right proper cosplay for a con some day! id REALLY love to go as like... eridan or 707 myself one day lololmaybe even feferi?? shuu iwamine.... theres a lot to consider! ;;

Momocon 2017!!!!

Ok, so here are some highlights!

I dressed as my forever evil birb boyfriend Iwamine Shuu <3

I SAW AKECHI GORO/CROW & HARU/NOIR. Ok, first of all, let me tell you that I’m super shy, and as you can see, most of these photos were sniped as other people had already asked them to pose for pictures... WELL, I ACTUALLY DROPPED MY STUFF AND RAN ACROSS A HALL AND BEGGED FOR A PHOTO. I had no shame. I’m so glad they happily obliged, but after it was over, I was like ...I just did that... Anyway. That’s how much I love Akechi and I’m so sad I can’t cosplay him.

Ok, so I saw someone who I suspected was Magnus Burnsides ( aka @astro-lass !!!) the beginning of the day, but given that TAZ is a podcast without exact costumes for the characters, I wasn’t sure and lost the person very soon after I saw them. After the Akechi/Haru incident, I returned to where I’d left my stuff and Magnus was sitting nearby. I still had enough weird bravado left over to ask if they were indeed Magnus - and they WERE! SO EXCITING!!! (bc I’d missed out on Taakos from yesterday. Found out too late)

OK HERE IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SNOW WHITE (Magical Girl Raising Project) YOU’LL EVER SEE. Like he was so ethereal? I was stunned. I just shouted at him that he was gorgeous. And also, as luck would have it, Top Speed, Winterprison, and Sister Nana are in the background!!!

Alright, THE VERY CUTEST MARSHALL LEE AND PRINCE BUBBLEGUM. So glad I got a picture bc I’d seen them in the dealers room earlier and was too shy to ask before. SO CUTE.

A FREAKING REAL LIFE GUNDAM. Guys. He was impressive. He even opened up the hatch and showed us his pilot and I DIED.

There was a freakton of Overwatch happening everywhere. Literally everyone was D.Va and Genji (in various skins). Here’s some Oni Genji, Zenyatta, and Mercy. Surprisingly, there was a serious lack of Reaper - tho I DID see Pie Reaper at one point (but sadly no pictures...)

The bottom photo is a collage of costumes I thought were awesome, but I was sneaking photos of.

The Borderlands cosplay was TOP NOTCH. A visually impressive masterpiece.

I remember Tron Cloud from two years ago, and I was HOPING he was still around. He was! And this time, his reflectors didn’t blind me (bc no flash needed)

Lady Hadies.... gosh... she was gorgeous. Look at her hair!!!

Also, Morrigan from Dragon Age. She was... perfect??? Like look at her???

Finally... (someone??) and Axel from the Kingdom Hearts series. That’s the best Axel I’ve ever seen!!! Behind them, you can see Magical Girl Shrek, who was going around saying “Magical girls are like onions!” He had an onion wand, and I’m sad I don’t have a picture of him.

Momocon 2017 (May 25-28, 2017)

I’ve been to Momocon this past weekend in Atlanta and I’m still recovering from all of the excitement this past weekend. Also, my birthday was yesterday! I’m 25 years old. Let’s get to look at my line-up from Momocon 2017:

Day 1 of Momocon as Kyoya Ootori! Kyoya is flawless as always. I'm so glad to cosplay “The Cool Type”! Saw @ivy.cos & @sky_cos! Also, a photo shoot with @tiger.cosplay! So much fun! Of course, Kyoya has a golden crown! ;)

Day 2 of Momocon as Assassin Mey-Rin from Black Butler! I did my photo shoot with @tiger.cosplay! You're very talented! Also, I took pictures with Sebastian, Tamaki, Mey-Rin, and Anastasia! I also saw my favorite voice actor J. Michael Tatum for the first time! Fangirl moment! At his panel, I asked him a question about how he felt the Book of Atlantic and holy guacamole! He answered my question! Fangirl moment! :)

Day 3 of Momocon as modern day Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler! I always love cosplaying this demon butler! ;) I did a Black Butler photo shoot and that was so much fun! I got some pictures taken by request. I guess that what happen when you cosplay Sebastian. I took pictures of Ed and Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist! Forever ship them! Also, my bestie won a board game! :)

Day 4 of Momocon as Shuu Tsukiyama from Tokyo Ghoul I was able to make new friend that have the same feelings for the same anime. I got my autograph ticket for J. Michael Tatum and I am so glad that I did. I actually slightly yelped before I met him, but that helped out my nerves. I came to him and he's so awesome. I gave him the drawing I drew of him and a fan letter as his birthday present. I told him I drew this and posted it on Twitter. He was so happy and I told him I was cosplaying Tsukiyama. He did talk a little bit in Tsukiyama's voice. I was the same person who asked about the Book of Atlantic. He signed my Black Butler poster. I told him about my birthday. He told me happy birthday not only as him, but as Sebastian because I asked him if he could. He did and trust me I was fangirling. At the end of the convention, I'm very much fangirling. So, that's a perfect way to spend my birthday! Très bien! :)

My first post of my fresh new start on tumblr. Of course it has to be about one of my favorite characters to cosplay. So I had Tumblr for like two years now when I started to cosplay, but I never really used it because I was more into instagram. However since I still have my account, I thought why not give it another try. So this is my Tsukiyama Shuu cosplay, I started to cosplay him like last year and I kept on improving him as the months passed by until I was satisfied. My boyfriend helped me alot through those months since I was still pretty bad at doing make-up, wig styling and everything. But thanks to his support I was able to pull it off and now I am really happy with the way I look as Tsukiyama. I hope you guys like it as well!

💤❄Some kind of 'Update'?!😅❄💤

I'm so pumped up! Sorry I do want to share more of my feelings about Anime and Manga here to. That is somehow the point why I created the blog. So on my main blog I will do it sometime too but this will be more on this one. Besides the other things like Fanfiction and co. But to the theme I mentioned. I'm so pumped up for the second season of this Anime called Starmyu or High School Star Musical it starts on the 04/02/2017. The first season gave me so mutch feels. I'm normally not a person whom is "glued" to a character in the first episode but it happend. I heard Yuzuriha's Voice and it happend. I got "glued". Than I looked up his Seyuu (I got the suppressed feeling with hearing his voice that I'm recognise the voice) and where somehow surprised, that it was Toriumi-san (Sakamaki Shuu and Aijima Cecil for example), but I already liked him so it was a nice addition. Besides that even if some of my favourite Characters share the same Seyuu, they did got into my heart somehow easy and some have it hard. Like Cecil he really had to "fight" a long time to get into my heart as a favourite Character. To share the same Seyuu is a fascinating fact. Or the season gave me the feel as I first saw Nayuki-kun... Damn I want to Cosplay him and many many more. I did start to watch it because so many reasons to put it into words. That is the point of most Anime I watch, but in most Anime I do end up loving all Characters more or less, but I have to admit there is one Character in all my time watching and Cosplaying, I hate so mutch that he will made my blood boil and bringing my brutal sadist side out. I'm an Anime Fan since I was 12 this is about 15 Years in general. So I'm really excited for the second season, i hope to see more of Yuzuriha in the second season. And I hope to see the Animes will get more and more modern. The first time I watched an Anime the Handys where to fold and now they are using Smartphones in the newer animes. If it is okay for you I would do something like more regularly. *Gives the few followers of this blog a big hug and a carrot cake including tea* Thanks for following this little Blog and staying with it. Should have done some things they did in the games (best example: making Kazemaru not run away/be frightened of Genesis but have him man up and be stronger), give spotlight on more characters, add more girls/girl only teams.

Uhh I have almost all the EU games, mini plushies, rubber straps, a...metallic charm??? and cosplay. I think one pin and a little strap to. The ‘unofficial’ merch would be like fanart, doujinshi, and posters. I think thats all.

Curious and looking forward to what this AU is going to bring to the series. Also wondering if they’re going to bring in a new...tactic? Like kenshins or something just new. Maybe those bracelet things have a thing to do with it but idk.

I’d rather not comment about the fandom just because I don’t like the idea of ‘fandoms’ and most are garbage but thats a topic for another day but rather the people I know in it. They’re pretty friendly and I love seeing some headcanons that I’d never think of personally?? But its good to see great artists and writers contributing to it! Also we all accept sakka as another word for soccer I think thats great

Please make a bunch of crossovers with Level-5′s other series (also please appreciate Level-5′s other works they are just as amazing as ina11)
