ok pretending that this show ended at season 5 bc i just got to s6 in my rewatch—

2x09 croatoan: episode of all episodes. literally 1½ seasons in and we have dean refusing to live without sam. and he knows exactly how crazy it is, he knows. but his natural state is dying for and with sam

4x14 sex and violence: obvious choice but this is literally canon wincest and i will be on my deathbed thinking about kripke giving this to us

3x08 a very spn christmas: dean wanting to spend his last christmas being sappy with sam, sam being in so much pain that he prefers to pretend it isn’t happening……… makes me want to eat concrete

honorable mention—4x08 wishful thinking: if you put your incest hat on, this is an entire episode about sam and dean reconciling how badly they want each other with how badly they know it would fuck them up. absolutely delicious

^ by the way, my theory about this (since what little they have shared about the specifics has always been super full of inconsistencies) is that they were on a date and despite probably trying to not draw attention to that fact were noticed by some homophobic drunk guys and targeted. Because despite how blatantly couple-y they may seem nowadays, remember how they were back then??? (like x1000)

Season 12 Finale and Season 13 Spec Part 2

As I've mentioned previously, I'm quite sure Lucifer and/or the baby are not going to make it to season 13, and here's why. First of all, there's the cosmic consequences Cas has to expect from killing Billie and breaking Sam and Dean's deal with her. Some people, including me, have been wondering whether the writers just forgot about them since there has been no mention whatsoever of them since 12x10. My theory is, and I am very sure of this, they haven't, because that would be highly inconsistent with the entire series. They are just waiting to slam them in our face when we're least expecting (and thinking they've forgotten, we will have forgotten as well). So my guess is, this will be the cliffhanger before season 13, and as Dabb stated we can expect a "more traditional Supernatural finale", it's going to be heartbreaking and painful and a horribly long hiatus. What plays into this is Dabb's comment on "opening up new worlds" - sounds pretty cosmic to me. Also Jensen mentioned at AHBL that there was something "purgatory-esque" coming up, which is probably referring to the very same thing. Given the context in which he said this (he previously talked about Purgatory!Dean), I guess we can expect Dean and someone else to maybe be cast into another dimension of some kind. Another option for this "purgatory-esque" thing would be the Leviathans getting out, but given the context I'd say this is rather unlikely that something similar to this happens. What would also be possible to be meant by this is the Destiel side of purgatory (because let's face it, that's quite a big part of Purgatory!Dean: "where's the angel?!"), but I try not to get my hopes up high on this one. So, what has all this to do with the baby? Neither Lucifer nor the baby really play into this, so what I'm guessing is that we can essentially expect something like the season 7 finale: big evil is defeated (Dick Roman - Lucifer/his son), and then Cas and Dean are cast into purgatory, and based on what I wrote before we might actually see something like that. But again, I'm not saying the baby is evil; I think he's neutral, and what I hope for is that his grace will be extracted successfully and he'll live happily without accidentally destroying the universe because he's so powerful, or messing with our favourite angel's head. This leads me back to Cas, because I don't think I mentioned this in my previous post. Misha is a truly incredible actor, and to me it was obvious that he was not playing Cas in that final scene of 12x19. It might have been Castiel, the one we met in season 4, as @amwritingmeta and @tinkdw said, but I have to say I'm not sure about this, and I also don't think this change will be permanent (or maybe that's just me hoping it won't :D). What I expect/hope for is something similar to the famous crypt scene in 8x17, and Cas getting back to his old self, the one Dean fell in love with. We still don't know what happened and what's really going on with him, but whatever it is, I don't like it and it's scaring me, because it wasn't the Cas we know and love, who's truly a Winchester and not a fearsome warrior of God (or the nephibaby). As a lovely person stated, Dean is now who the viewers take from what's going on with Cas, and when Dean says that something's wrong with Cas, that he didn't recognize the guy staring back at him, I'll go with it, because I think Dean knows Cas well enough to be able to judge this right. Another thing that has often been mentioned in this contexct is Cas looking for something to have faith in. This has been a recurring theme for several seasons now, and after Cas started out in 12x19 just as lost and faithless as before, to me it seems like a bad sign that his faith in the nephibaby evolved so quickly, within seconds. After so many seasons spent looking for faith, this cannot be a good kind of faith. That's also why I prefer to roll with the mind-control/manipulation/brainwash theory, because it was just too quick. Thank you for reading all this, I appreciate it! Again, just speculation and my own personal point of view on things. I'm stoked for all three remaining episodes of the season.

Who’d have thought Sammy growing a pair of giant bird wings would be the least of his problems?
