ONE: Are you named after anyone?

Nope, traditionally I SHOULD have been named after my maternal great grandmother, but my mother refused because she didn't like the name LOL.

TWO: When was the last time you cried?

I genuinely don't remember LOL.

THREE: Do you have kids?

Nope.

FOUR: Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not really, I use it sometimes, I'd say.

FIVE: What sports have you played/do you play?

I started swimming when I was like 3 or 4, I stopped when I was ten I think to play volleyball, in middle school I had a very brief dancing phase that I'd like not to remember, then still in middle school I did a year of athletics (like running, jumping, etc) but it got boring so I stopped and went back to swimming, I did a year-ish of kickboxing during my last year of high school (loved that one, but I had to stop because I couldn't go to practice because of all the studying, ngh), and now I'm horse riding. Also when I was a kid there was a lot of skiing because my father's side of the family is obsessed LOL.

SIX: What's the first thing you notice about people?

Probably their hair, it's certainly what I remember best: I am bad with faces so if I meet someone for the second time and they change their hairstyle I am going to be very confused (like "who is this? help" levels of confused).

SEVEN: What's your eye colour?

Brown.

EIGHT: Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings, I'm not completely opposed to scary movies but I very rarely watch them.

NINE: Any special talents?

Does being a human calendar count? LOL. I'm the person in the friend and/or work group that is like "Hey, friendly reminder that it's Father's Day next week" or "PSA, public transport is on strike on Friday" when I know that people have a hard time remembering this stuff looool.

TEN: Where were you born?

...Italy LOL.

ELEVEN: What are your hobbies?

Fandom (writing and reading fics, giffing, scrolling endlessly...) and horse riding.

TWELVE: Do you have any pets?

No but I'd love get a cat someday soon.

THIRTEEN: How tall are you?

Around 160 cm? Maybe 158? That should be 5'2 in feet.

FOURTEEN: Favourite subject in school?

All the literatures (Italian, Ancient Greek, Latin and English were the ones I took in high school). Also English because I was so good at it LOL.

FIFTEEN: Dream job

Tbh I would just be happy to get something in the field I got two whole degrees in LOL. But outside of that, if I could lock myself in a barn and look after horses all day I would probably be more than happy to let's be real looool.

i just watched ready player one and i- why is the main characters avatar just…. kai freakin hiwatari? i’m not saying it’s not cool, it is! but he has the whole two tone hair and the face triangles thing going on! but i can’t find anything about the connection online? its too close to not be on purpose. (there are lots of other references to various media so i assume thats why) i might have to download the audiobook now

Fic Rec Friday Fun

I was tagged by @cha-melodius, who ALSO did not do this on Friday, so that makes me feel better, thank you LOOOOL.

So wanted to get some hiatus rec lists going and encourage some self promo in my friends so how about sharing your top fics no matter how big or small - give us the links to your wonderful words with the Most hits/Most kudos/Most comments/Most bookmarks /Most words/Least words

I have a bunch of fics written in bigger fandoms than the ones I currently write for, so I feel like I can guess what the results will be loool, but let's see!

Most hits: Stretch (Buck/Eddie+Christopher, 911) Not surprising, probably the most popular ship I've ever written for LOOOL. It's a canon divergence fic set in the tsunami episode, basically Buck doesn't lose Christopher in the water and manages to get him back to Eddie himself instead.

Most kudos: Same as above, unsurprisingly LOL.

Most comments: Calls me home (Neal/Emma, Once Upon A Time) A collection of Swanfire short stories, of which I wrote 33 out of a planned 35 *insert shame here* Maybe someday I'll finish it!

Most bookmarks: Stretch again LOOOL

Most words: Porcelain (Neal/Emma, Once Upon A Time) Okay technically it was the collection of short stories again, but I'm not counting that since it's not ONE story. This one is a Beauty and The Beast One featuring Dark One Emma and Neal as a pretty reluctant Beauty LOL.

Least words: Proof of Life (Geralt/Yennefer, The Witcher) Just a little ficlet (271 words) with Yennefer being a little out of it and getting snuggles and comfort. That's it LOL.

i love this question!! an alternate direction the fic could’ve gone is probably an all-out romantic comedy where they’re both deadly serious about not liking or committing to each other, but people around them gradually are like. “guys we know you are a thing”. and oscar + carlos are like: “no???”

so for example the opening scene at the club could be written as carlos emerging into the warm singapore evening only to trip on a step and spill his entire drink on oscar. tape scratch moment. they still go to carlos’s hotel room to get oscar cleaned up, but they bicker the whole time. the smut becomes a kiss etc etc

there's a musical montage involving the both of them racing each other on rented city bikes in montreal

the sunglasses definitely stay in there and become a recurring motif cus everyone else figures out who they belong to straightaway

the breakfast order detail is in there but it’s a running gag as they dare each other to try more and more elaborate and wild combinations, and nobody dares lose, even if the resulting food is disgusting.

kim gets sick of oscar flip flopping about the entire thing and says "you had better tell him how you feel because this is getting really repetitive and we can't keep going in circles about this cus it's literally forming a mental block for your racing, yeah".

carlos gives oscar a wardrobe makeover for plot reasons. it doesn't stick but oscar does keep one or two of the fashion items including the sunglasses, a smart pair of cucinelli slacks, and a nice vintage denim jacket that carlos picked out with him

obviously there's some crisis of minor misunderstanding because neither of them wants to confess how they actually feel until the last minute when carlos is about to step out into a paparazzi-filled event with a woman and oscar clenches his fist and hates it sooo much until he realises... oh right, that's his sister.

the grand gesture involves oscar piloting a boat somehow to chase carlos

and lando is some sort of professionally competent but hapless friend who keeps running into his own dating problems. lando sighs and puts his chin on his hand and wistfully goes “i wish i had what you and carlos had”. and oscar is like: “what, frenemies?” and lando goes “no, stupid! love!”

IF Homelander S/O was also a supe but their powers was something that wasn't very heroic. I can't really think of something specifically but like something that Homelander would usually laugh at as d - list tier supe, do you think he would see that as a weakness? And no longer be interested?

Homelander has shown interest in supes and humans alike, but he definitely has a preference for supes. in his mind, even the weakest supe would still have an advantage over a human.

he does this funny thing when he experiences attraction where he pedestals people. his attraction, however it comes about, inherently elevates them, so things that would normally bother him suddenly are given a pass.

would he still be shitty about it if he thought it would affect his image? .... yeah. he'd probably lowkey insist on keeping their powers under wraps from the public. but honestly, once Homelander is invested, there are very few things that seem to dissuade him.
