abby used to like being busy. it distracted her from the torn apart world outside, having a fixed schedule and completing menial tasks gave her meaning. she was a creature of habit, and breaking a streak where she’d been super productive damaged her self esteem quite a bit.

however, since you’d come along she’d hated it. if she could spend all her time doing nothing with you, she would. but abby had people relying on her, so with or without you she had to get things done. you knew this, but it wouldn’t stop you from having your fun. if you couldn’t receive abby’s attention, you’d make sure she felt just as frustrated as you.

“abs when’re you gonna be free.” you clung onto her bicep as you caught her leaving the gym, damp from sweat.

she sighed, running a hand down her face. “i don’t know, it’s a busy day today. you’re gonna have to just deal, babe. yeah?” she seemed rushed, so you pout and let her go, watching her stride away.

you caught her again, the two of your schedules colliding when you’d be called in to help look at some maps to help plan a hunt. she looked so fucking good, her arms flexing as she’d lean against the table in concentration. you weren’t being much help, too busy ogling at your girlfriend. the way she’d take charge, using her brain to come up with the smartest route would turn you on, your teeth sinking into your bottom lip as you watched her speak. she would completely disregard you, focusing on the task at hand — and you hate to say it, but it kind of turned you on even more.

it had been like this all day, abby rushing around completing all her tasks and you — running into her wherever you got the chance to, touching her arm and batting your lashes at her. she was becoming increasingly more frustrated, so when you ran into her later in the day — giggling as you tagged along beside her, following her around like a lost puppy she knew she was going to have to put you in your place a little.

WHAT THE FUCKKKKK

No bcs I could litterally go on a rant on why bfidi/bfdia are sooo much better than bfb and tpot (IMO) cuz what the actual flip

Ermm so for starters bfdi is litterally the starting off point!! You don't have bfb or tpot without having bfdi first. And it's the only season so far the finished like an actual season with all the original cast members not being split up.

I love bfdi/bfdia BECAUSE of its like,,,rawness ig?? Like how organic it is. The two shows are passion projects and you can tell!! Not to say that tpot and bfb aren't, but they kind of loose some of that raw value that you find in bfdi and bfdia. And ik some people are like "oml it's just ur nostalgia🤓 he he hem hem" like yeah, I first watched bfdi/mainy bfdia when I was a kid and though the memories of it aren't clear, they are still prominent. I litterally started saying "jk kidding" because of pencil. (Among others quotes) And I feel like I still remember those quotes and little scenes now because they're just more memorable!! And that's bcs they're just better imo!! And i think theyre better because of how much creativity was poured into it!!

I don't wanna be that person that hates on new fans but like, alot of them tend to shit of bfdi and bfida and it's just so infuriating because those are the ones that are a product of true passion and creativity!! and yeah, maybe the humor isn't funny to you. Ok, whatever. It was a long time ago. And maybe the dialog is too "cringe" for you. Ok, I get that. Again, this was back in the 2010s. But it's being able to push past that and recognize that the two shows are just a product of true imagination and hard work is most important!!

Just going on a tangent here but object shows to me are expected to not be produced Iike a regular cartoon and have some errors and mistakes in them because that's how you know it's all just for fun. And I just feel like bfb and tpot loose that. Its fun, but it's not bfdi/bfdia fun. And I think this is because it became more of a career than a little side thing. Which sounds weird because it would be a dream to make object shows full time but then it's not something you can escape to anymore. IDK IF THIS MAKES SENSE BUT I HOPE IT DOES LOLOL

But yeah, disregarding bfdi and bfdia and calling them worse than their newer counterparts is disregarding what brought tpot and bfb to life in the first place.

EDIT: I also would like to add that I'm not hating on anyone who likes tpot or bfb more!! Not at all!! It's more so the people who love the newer two so much that they hate on the ogs!! And uhh since this post seems like a big new gen hate post, I'll also add that I love bfb and tpot as well! Loodvigg snatched the toy out of torrt's hands and scuttled over to attmoz and handed it over. Thank you loodvigg. fantasy languages

hello there! are you a writer? or a dnd weirdo? do you want to create a weird fantasy language for fun? then that's why I'm here

so I'm going to take you step by step,through how I make mine using my main language for the world Rokhbhn (ro-weird throat noise-vun)

so, the first thing you need to do is work out phonics. are there certain letters that don't exist? double letters? is there anything you want to steal from other languages? for me this is the language that the fae type being's speak,so I wanted to take alot of things from the celtic language families,mostly Irish as I have the most experience with that. so I stole the double letters bh (V) and dh (W) as well as the Welsh LL. I also got rid of the letter w and q. w is represented with VV which almost looks like an uppercase W but not quite. I also made an original letter written as KH which is a little hard to explain,but think of a cat or a vampire hissing? it's a bit like that. very in your throat.

now you have an alphabet,you need to figure out if you're gonna go for the standard A B C D latin alphabet or some kind of custom lettering system. i really wanted my own lettering style, but alas,i am lazy as shit. if its just for a dnd campaign or for funsies then using someone elses for inspo or as your actual alphabet is ok as long as you mention who it actually belongs to. for a book people kight get anbit upset though. if not,you can search for fantasy alphabet on pinterest and get inspiration while you make your own. for this i decided i would use the elven alphabet (i think from the dnd manual? that was the credit on pinterest) :

now if you have double or custom letters,you can either think of more symbols or double them up. I made my own

A/N: sorry for no recent posts I've had school and stuff plus I've had no ideas on what to post but here's something for y'all :)

"I'm gonna start a face-cam stream, is that alright?"

Ranboo asked as he stood in the doorway, putting on his glasses. You nodded as you stood up and walked towards where he was before being engulfed into a hug.

"Of course it's alright, there's no need to ask if it is. Have fun with it."

You replied. He gave you a smile before putting on his mask and making his way to his streaming room. You made your way back to your spot where you were sitting before and turned on the TV. You were scrolling through the channels until you eventually heard the very similar sound of him checking up on his chat. It made you smile, how much he cared for the chat. You understood there were many people out there that are actually living off his streams. The thought filled your head as you continued scrolling through the TV channels, before settling one that had your favourite show on.

You were snacking on food from the kitchen, now binging through Netflix over 2 hours after Ranboo started his stream.

"Holy shit, how does he stream for that long?"

You questioned to yourself, low-key missing him even though he was only upstairs. It wasn't long after that the episode finished, and you decided to get up and go into Ranboo's stream room. You didn't say a thing as you opened the door, you just walked over to his seat and cuddled into him on his lap. Just one thing. He was doing a face-cam stream. Oops. You were told, yes but completely forgot. Little did you know, as you were getting comfortable, Tommy and Dream were spamming questions through his headset and into his ears. He quickly turned off his camera for your privacy, but Tommy and Dream had already seen. They had the stream open the entire time. Tommy was screaming things like "Is that a woman??" and "LOL SIMP MOVE." whereas Dream was being a bit more polite and asking things like "Is that your s/o?" and "Does she also play Minecraft?" There was alot of awkward laughs coming from his end, and alot of questions from the other. You had your eyes closed, but could still hear the answers, managing to try and work out the questions from them.

Eventually Ranboo got sick of them both. All he said was "Alright bye." Before immediately leaving the call and ending the stream abruptly.

"You alright?"

He asked you, taking off his mask and glasses looking at you curled up in his lap.

"Yeah, I just missed you."

He laughed at your reply. You lifted your head up and looked at him as if to say "What?"

"I've only been gone just over 2 hours. Guess you are a bit needy?"

You pulled a shocked look onto your face.

"I'm not needy! You just stream for a long time!"

He laughed a bit more before bringing you closer to him. He started swaying side to side in his chair as you both talked.

"Tommy called me a simp thanks to you."

You laughed at the random comment.

"But it's ok, I just said 'im not a simp, she's just clingy.'"

You rolled your eyes before muttering "still a simp to lemme stay though." and denied any fact of you saying so.

“Reports of who killed the Guardians of the globe are starting to surface, with our agents finding out about the supposed killer: we know they spared Omni-Man, killed the rest of the members, and then fled. We also know they are not from earth. Lots of people have speculated that Omni-Man is the one behind these killings, however, the government has ruled out that being a possibility, since there was no evidence of Omni-Man doing these actions. More at 7 tonight on-”

The program stopped playing as you saw a contact appear on the top of the screen, and reading it, you immediately perked up.

Swiping on the green button, you happily said, “Hey, Dad! What’cha need?”

You heard a chuckle from the other end, before he said, “Hey kiddo, how you holding up?”

“Nothing much going on here, you good over there?”

“Yup, mostly everything is fine. You know my work, they always have something for me to do.”

“Hopefully that clears up soon.”

“Yeah, hey, listen, where are you right now?”

Ugh, not this again. Your mood slightly dropped as you remembered a few years ago, when you first met Cecil. He wasn’t as good as he is now, and he would always be asking where you would be. Even in school. However, that was all in the past, since you were older, he now knew that you were responsible enough to do things on your own. At least, that’s what he wanted you to believe.

“Uh, well, I was just gonna go hang out with some friends and then go back home. Why?”

“Ok, listen to me very carefully: one of my guys is gonna pick you up near Bridgetown, ok? You’re gonna get a bracelet from them and then I’ll explain the rest here.”

What the fuck? “Oh, um, ok, when will they be there?”

“About 5 minutes. Be there soon, love you, bye.”

He hung up the phone quickly, which was extremely rare, even for him, since he would never show his love to you out publicly and you would feel weird if he even did. However, on the phone or in private he was a completely different person, having a great personality and he was an even better dad.

Well, he did say to hurry up, and 5 minutes. You checked the time and when you saw it was near 1. You strided your way towards the street he told you to meet on, and cheerfully thought of the ways to hang out with your friends after whatever he wanted to do. Maybe you could go to the mall? Maybe the food court? You’ve been meaning to try those damn milkshakes at that new bar everyone is talking about, but it was always so crowded. You never liked crowded places in the first place.

Suddenly, your phone rang again. This time, when you checked, it was your dad again. Strange. It was weird for him to call you twice in a row. He usually got to the point within a few sentences.

Picking up the phone, you said, “Hey dad-”

“________, listen to me. Get to someplace safe now. Get out of the road. Get out of the public. I don't care if you have to go inside someone else’s house, just get out of sight.”

Stopping in the middle of the road you let out some surprised stutters. “Wh- Dad, what are you talking about?”

“_______, please, just listen to me when I say this, you are in danger and you need to get out of there.”

“Why? What’s happening?”

You were shuffling around trying to find a good place to “hide” while your dad went into complete panic mode in his voice. “_______, find a place to hide, and whatever you do, get out of open space.”

You heard him speak to someone off the phone, before he cursed out loud. “I have to call you back, but someone will be there, wherever you are, ok? I… I love you.”

Before you could answer him, he hung up the phone. Anxiety was the only thing you could feel, as you looked around the desolate neighborhood. There was a reason why you chose this area over others: it was quiet and small. Not only that, but the only people who walked this way were people who were not fond of bigger crowds. In fact, you haven’t seen anyone go this way for a long time. You always wondered why, since it was the perfect way to get robbed. Of course, that would never happen, especially with all those lessons from your dad about self defense.

The street you were on had walls surrounding the sidewalk to prevent people from going into people's backyards, probably. They were too high up to climb, and they were concrete, so it wouldn’t be easy to just hop over and call it a day.

However, you were almost at the end of the street, and you knew there was a little patch of bushes and leaves that would provide the perfect cover. They were almost as tall as your dad, which always made you wonder who was watering them to be that big.

Pacing quickly towards the end of the street, and seeing no one in sight made you let out a sigh of relief. Either dad was overeating or something bad was happening, and you don’t know which would be worse. When Cec- dad overrated, it always got messy, no matter what it was about.

“Why were you out so long? I was about to send a team after you-”

“Cecil, it’s fine, I just had to talk to my-”

“Don’t call me Cecil, and don’t try to make excuses, tell me who you were with right now or I swear to god-”

You forgot the memory almost as soon as it came up, instead choosing to focus on getting to the brush where you could hide until C- Dad came to pick you up. Wherever he was. Actually, did he give you a time that he would be there?

You got a weird feeling that made you sprint towards the bushes and dive in, like there was someone behind you. You ignored it and forced your way on all fours, ignoring the cuts and scratches you were getting on your arms and legs.

There was almost a whooshing sound above you, and you wondered if your dad sent a fucking jet to get you. But that thought left your mind when you heard it right next to you, along with the sound of someone making a harsh landing onto the street. You were able to hear the little bits and pieces of concrete fly off the ground to hit the ground again.

You stayed completely still, leaning on your arms while your body was facing the street. You heard something shuffle, like moving fabric around, before a familiar voice hit your ears.

“Who’s there?” they- he said, and you were about to cry out of relief when you heard it. “Omni-Man?”

“Why wouldn’t he?” Cecil didn’t look at Debbie, instead focusing on the map in front of him, wondering where Mark could’ve been.

Cecil felt his head start to hurt. Goddamnit, why did Nolan want to go after you? You had nothing to do with anything, besides being Cecil’s daughter. … is that why he was after you? Just because you were related to Cecil?

No, Nolan wasn’t stupid. He knew you weren’t his biological daughter, Nolan knew Cecil took you from somewhere.

He probably thought you were just someone that he got for fun, which was the furthest from the truth. Cecil didn’t-

“Sir, we’ve found Mark Grayson, along with your daughter, not at the same locations, but-”

“Where is she?” Cecil didn’t try to hide his worry in his voice. It didn’t exactly help when the agent said, in a monotone voice, “She's with Omni-Man, sir.”

Peeking out from the bush, you saw Omni-Man walk up towards you and hold out his hand. You graciously took it, and helped yourself up. Even when you were standing at your full height, Omni-Man was way taller than you. Like, way taller. He could beat your dad within an inch of his life even with all of that combat stuff he learned over the years.

Of course he could, he’s Omni-Man dumbass. Ignoring the thought, you answered, “I’m, uh, busy.”

You saw him give a small smile. “You’re busy hiding in the bushes?”

“Yes.” you cursed internally for answering that so quickly like an idiot. You weren’t expecting him to let out a laugh. He continued while you stood there, confused as all hell.

Finally, he said, “You know, you’re a terrible liar.” You laughed along with him for a moment, before saying, “Yeah, I know.”

His face suddenly darkened, before he said, “So, why are you out here?”

The laughter in the air was gone now, only replaced by crushing silence as he waited for your answer. You felt yourself shrink under his scrutinizing gaze. He looked like he was judging you for just standing there. Well, he could’ve also been judging you because you were in a bush just 10 seconds earlier. After a few more seconds, you broke.

“C- Dad said to hide somewhere.”

“Aren’t you too old to be playing those games?”

“Yeah, I am, but apparently someone was gonna come and get me. He just said to get out of open space.”

You heard him mutter something under his breath, before he scratched the back of his head.

“Well, I can see why he would want that.”

“Really? Why?”

“A mob boss named Machine Head.” When you gave him a confused look, he elaborated, “Machine head was a guy who took down the new Guardians of the Globe along with… Mark. They thought they got him, but unfortunately they weren’t able to kill him.”

“How does that have anything with me?”

“... You’re Cecil’s daughter. Cecil was the one who found out about Machine Head. And took him down. Machine Head wants revenge against Cecil for ruining his plans, so he’s probably going to take it out on you.” When you still gave a surprised stare, he asked, “Do you really not have this happen often?”

“No, Dad keeps me inside alot…” your voice trailed off when you heard your phone ring, and picking it up, you saw it was your dad.

“Hello?”

“_________, I told you to get to somewhere safe!”

“I-I am! I’m with Nolan!”

“Hey, Cecil, don’t worry, I’m right here.” Nolan’s voice was filled with sarcasm, probably an old joke between the two. After all, they were both good friends to each other.

“No, you don’t understand, ______, listen to me-”

Suddenly you were grabbed by your arm, and dragged down. You were caught by Omni-Man before you hit the ground, though. Looking behind him, you saw two trucks coming towards you, along with multiple people in them, with weapons of all sorts.

You didn���t have time to ask who they were or what they wanted, as Omni-Man grabbed you and pulled out off the ground, and into the air. It took you a few moments, but you realized you were in the air. Flying.

Reaching for your phone in your pocket to call your dad back, you realized you must’ve dropped it. However, you weren’t about to waste your energy trying to get it back. Especially not when you were high above the ground. So you simply hung on for dear life as Omni-Man flew away from the shouting people in the cars.

“She went with Omni-Man, sir.”

Cecil stood there for a moment, wondering what the fuck happened. It was obvious now that Nolan had no intentions to harm you, but why would he take you and not tell you anything? Cecil wondered before something was handed to him. “We found this near where they took off, sir.”

It was your phone. Completely crushed to bits. “Omni-Man took it from her and crushed it without her knowledge, sir.”

“You started to shoot at her?! What the hell were you thinking!?”

The men stood there, completely still realizing their mistake. “We’re not kids playing at some game, this is real life. And now- I-” he really wanted to kill Nolan now. Debbie was going to become a widow, and he really didn’t care.

Walking up to the truck that was nearest to him, he opened the back and shuffled around, trying to find something, anything that would be of use.

Then he found his favorite gun. The only one he could actually hold himself without another person that stopped Omni-man.

Loading the ammunition, he walked over to Donald, who had a tablet in his hand. “Sir, we’ve found where they’re going.”

Looking at the area on the map, Cecil tapped his wrist watch, and said, “Good. Get the backup ready, and get Mark Grayson. Get Invincible.”

HI im very passionate abt how characters are explored and displayed and i have a bias to 1992 so heres my opinion on the main cast

actually i have alot of hot takes abt how i hate the characterization of several newsies (from the broadway adaptation and the fans) and i WILL be talking very passionately, im not actually upset im just mentally ill anyways lets start

Racer

you will never hear the end of it when u get me started on the fan version of him

i hate how he was turned into nothing but an idiot

racetrack historically was the brooklyn leader, which in someways was carried nicely into the movie version

which i mean hes more of the talkative newsies, you can tell hes well trusted and liked among the newsies

but in both the broadway show and movie, past him being funny and cracking jokes, he shows that he can be really smart and step up when needed

especially in the broadway once and for all, he was carrying the whole thing

hes funny, yeah absolutely, but funny≠stupid

Crutchie

oh my GOD

i myself have called him the living embodiment of sunshine many times

HOWEVER

hes also foul mouthed (context of time period/primarily in broadway) and just as cocky as any of the other newsies

he shows that he can be sensitive, more so than the other newsies (think him consulting jack in the movie or the intro song in the broadway musical)

hes extremely capable of handling himself, and while hes still a dreamer he knows how to be realistic

hes fun and lovable but also not a child

which i could talk abt how its blatant ablism but thats another topic

Katherine

im gonna be the one to say it, i hate the fact they combined denton and sarah

historically speaking, katherine died as an infant, so theres not much to go off of

however, i wish we got more instances of her

the thing i like about sarah that katherine doesnt have is that sarah is a love interest, but she has personality

she defies their time period in a far more realistic way and doesnt sacrifice any of her character for it

katherine doesnt feel like a completed character to me in the way sarah and denton do

her character arc never closed in a satisfying way, we never found out if her reporter gig would really get anywhere

fanon wise, i like her shes often portrayed nicely

we just need. MORE of her in the fandom in general

Davey

i actually prefer broadway davey to the movie version

why? i actually dont really know

its a mix of the fact he gradually becomes more easy going, something i didnt find in the movie version

though i wish we got the fight between him and jack in the broadway show instead of whatever katherine and jack had

fanon wise, oh boy

he never comes off more than a student or "good boy" character type in comparison to the often extremely roudy newsies

which in some cases i actually like, but most of the time, it never explores the fact that davey would likely pick up more and more of their habits

and how he in act two of the musical is so much more free of a character

Lucifer: 

Is not very bothered at first

Are they doing their work? They're not causing trouble? Then it doesn't matter, less headache for him 

… except there IS trouble, and that trouble is that MC is going down the line and making pacts with his brothers 

Yes, he allowed the one with Mammon, but he definitely did not plan for them to keep going. 

So he's even colder and callous than he already is 

… and his alarm actually grows when realizing that MC just comes off that way, because he's now he actually understands why his brothers have gotten closer to them 

This lines up with game canon pretty well actually since Lucifer is absolutely thinking overtime about why MC even wants these pacts in the first place, because he thought it was out of malice at first, but now … 

After the whole Belphie Arc though he comes to appreciate this about MC, it reassures him that they come off in a way that will get them in less trouble  

(Though… only in certain situations. The amount of times he's had to hear about or deal with someone's misunderstanding that MC was Rude..)

(Where's his coffee mug, he needs a third cup.) 

Mammon: 

Very put off by MC at first 

Not even worth making fun of or anything… and he's not gonna risk dealing with whatever they've got going to swipe something 

Quickest to warm back up to MC though when he realizes they just come off that way 

(Also quick to realize in the first place too-) 

Also comes to appreciate their displays of emotion all the more, since that has to mean they're comfortable with him 

And well, of COURSE they're comfortable with him, the Great Mammon

Levi: 

Hmmm yeah he's not dealing with that, he's got his own emotion issues to grapple with 

Avoid: 100 

… and yes it's 100 because he ends up the first person after Mammon to see more of MC's deal 

If MC and him hit it off afterward, or MC shows an interest in anything he's into, that's it, they're gonna be his best friend now

  MC and him would bond over this sort of thing honestly.. because Levi also comes off this way to the player in game as well

Satan: 

Indifferent at first 

He doesn't blame them, honestly? Even if it's not a personality for them, They were just taken from their world and dropped into Hell to be an exchange student, 

He'd probably be mean about it too lol 

Is pleasantly surprised when he realizes MC is actually pretty nice 

Asks them about it lol 

"MC, do you think you present this way at first because-?" 

(Be careful with those questions Satan.. MC might take that personally, and that's very fair of them!) 

Asmo: 

Huh?? 

Whatever. Not worth his time. 🙄

Active avoiding especially when he realizes his charm effect doesn't work on them

(How scary… someone mean and unfeeling who will see him and not who he wants them to see? ) 

Even when he finds out they're actually nice, he's still a little cautious 

But after a while, he warms upto them and…

Like Levi, Beel and MC can bond over this.. looking mean and apathetic, but look further and you will find a Sweetheart within.. 

And since he does get it, he gets kinda protective if MC gets themselves into alot of misunderstandings because of this

Not gonna lie, Belphie's not letting that go easily

And he'd probably only find out that MC is actually nice through Beel 

Even then he won't really warm up to MC for a long while 

If he finally does though, he does in fact note the similarity with Beel 

…. Ok. Maybe it's cute.
