Lutz watches him, tapping his fingers against his chair. “Something the matter?” he asks. “No, it’s fine,” Zemo says, but the room wobbles again and he lists sideways. “Is it fine?” Lutz asks, sitting forward and that cold evaluation coming into his dark eyes. “I wouldn’t think you’re fine.” Zemo opens his mouth but nothing comes out, suddenly unable to find words. The room narrows, darkness creeping in around the edges of his vision. He slides out of the chair and onto the floor, limp and weak. The last thing he sees is Lutz standing over him, watching him as he blacks out.

BEST EXPERIENCE : when i first entered the animanga rpc i had a really, really good time from the get-go ngl. for a while, right until my revival in 2024, i was sort of more into the 'western / live action' side of the rp media, and i kept remembering how much of a good time i had in the animanga rpc, which triggered my interest in returning.

my other best experience is basically when i learn from my dearest mutuals then how not to be afraid to project ur muses' voices into their narration, which allowed me to have incredible fun with exercising different mindset and speech patterns and/or different dialects since!

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : uhhh this is pretty specific to my experience and quite particular — thus i hope to elaborate it well — but i highly dislike when writing partners tried crafting our threads into only benefiting / leveraging their own muse(s) rather than it being a collaborative effort for both our muses' character development. this happened to me only ... twice so far ? so it's quite rare considering i've been writing for ten years, but i'm suuuuper sensitive about this.

so for example right, what usually happens is me and my writing partner would talk about our muses and we see common ground and where we could expand on a point of conflict. both our muses then benefit from this point of thread because the narrative we've written ought to challenge their perspective, and this can be driven with angst, drama, whatever genre this can be explored in etc.

now what i'm pointing out specifically is when the writing partner would only try to have their own muse's emotions and challenges on the forefront of the plot, with no consideration to mine, which i think defeated the purpose of roleplaying in entirety because roleplaying especially is supposed to be a collaborative effort for all writers involved. but no, it's their muse's pain that's significant. it's only their suffering that outweighed everyone else's, and my character typically is became an "affirmation" or a "booster" to their muses' experience.

i have a few turn-off's but this one is definitely one of the highest.

MUSE PREFERENCES: oh maaaan, i've written characters from sooo many ranges. typically it's whoever tickled my brain at the moment <333 but lately i do realise i'm often drawn to

(1) outwardly soft-looking people (2) have crazy dedication value; sometimes absurdly loyal to a cause / person (3) most of the time they're brown-haired and/or dark-haired (4) a lot of them give earthy and/or green vibe

and if it's the opposite, it's either someone struggling with their temper and/or have their viewpoint challenged or exploited. don't believe me, check out my western multi as well to see where i'm ticking the boxes. ( i'm on hiatus there but still. look at the muses. )

PLOTS OR MEMES : fuuuuuuck. i'm super bad with first-time plotting not gonna lieeeee. listen, my attention span's crap. my method is usually this: we plot minimally ( usually to establish the timeline and/or where our muses stand ) and then i prefer winging the first thread, usually to gauge the pace of the writing, ur muses' thoughts and/or reactions so mine could bounce off of yours, and then i'd rain in your IM / discord to yap my way into ur heart 🫶 i looove when my mutuals would yap at me right back. i love substances, and i love context. i love knowing what my partners want to achieve or what they're satisfied / dissatisfied with so we can work around that. so yes, thread > plot > memes.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : wish i'm a short-replier. born a long-replier. working on making my paragraphs more concise though. that's on my 2024 writing bingo for sure!

BEST TIME TO WRITE : when i want to 💀  and i have no idea when. usually when i'm rested enough so if i'm dead tired on friday, there's a chance i'll still be ghosting the dash on saturday. i try not to........ push myself so hard on my availability, which is why it's important i stress out how i am a low-activitiy blog, because i know that even if i push myself when i don't want to, it won't work. my brain would dead-ass refuse to cooperate.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : i'm definitely flawed, which is something i like exploring with my muses, because i think i've tried so hard since i was 15 to be perfect. that isn't to say my characters and i share the same flaw, but unlike in real life, exploring my characters' area of weaknesses and how that can have its consequences is perhaps a catharsis for me since i could safely navigate it within a narrative i could ( somewhat ) control. it's freeing. writing has always been freeing in that sense.

Whenever you're sick, Rollo would definitely take some time away from NBC, like a few hours, so he can see you and make sure you're doing all right! Maybe he brings you some food or medicines he heard is good for you!

here are some of my fav lina x lilia x rollo concepts if you don't mind me sharing!

lilia is 700 years old and he's been through so much and it took a lot of time for him to change and become the gremlin that he is today. lina is MUCH younger than him, but she also had to go through a lot of horrors. lilia never says that their trauma isn't valid and never says stuff like "well at least you didn't have to fight in a war". he just hopes they can feel a bit lighter when he's around.

i've mentioned before that i imagine lina's unique magic hurting them a lot in exchange for them to do things as good (or better than) as others so yeah, maybe rollo would find lina suspicious at first but then imagine him finding out about what her magic is doing to her and he's like. "SEE. I AM RIGHT. WE HAVE TO SAVE YOU WE HAVE TO GET RID OF MAGIC WE HAVE TO-" and lina is standing there like "sir.. why do you want to save me.."

*sobs* rollo putting a flower in lina's hair while she's sitting lost in thought and comparing her to that flower *CRIES*

rollo being confused why lilia is 100% okay with a poly relationship and lilia is like "well. uh. well. you see. i have EXPERIENCE" mallenoa and her husband (possibly crowley)

ACTUALLY IT'S SO FUNNY bc if you think about it lina x lilia x rollo is like a reverse version of that relationship. it's not the "actual queen" and a "trash man" it's "the nbc student council president and the most talented student from that school" and "a wet cat i found on the street and said "i just think it's neat"".

Is encanto really as good as everyone thinks?

-SPOILERS FOR ENCANTO AND UP-

i know it may seem like im a bit late to the party but the truth is when i saw encanto first getting popular it felt strange.

it felt like i watched a completely different movie ngl and i kept my mouth shut back then because i didnt wanna ruin the fun for everyone else lol

but tbh im pissed off at disney and i cant keep my mouth shut for any longer now.

let me just, get to the point-

Encanto is a terrible movie that fails at the fundamentals of story telling

you see, if u manage to see through the tears and actually pay attention to the plot of the film, it is so b a d

now i'll give them credit where credit is due, they had a really interesting concept and very good ideas

but they executed it so poorly its laughable.

you see, this film isnt a film

its a cash grab on the name of nostalgia and emotions

idk abt other peope but to me, encanto felt very empty. From the way i see it, disney just wanted to make the next frozen with touchy feely themes about family and love and healing and runions but it sort of failed.

the characters in encanto seem extremely shallow. the "development" they get (.i.e. isabella, luisa, abuela etc) dosn't really feel like true development. it seemed extremely artificial and almost felt like an act disney was putting on to fool everyone else into thinking that they're actually good in writing characters. i mean sure, they have distinct personality traits, trauma, backstories and everything a character needs to have depth but what undermines this imo is the plot.

now idk if i just have a taste for suspenseful thriller movies or something but i enjoy a nice touchy feely movie alright (for instance Up) but encanto really lacked the substance it needed for it to truely shine.

Im gonna use Up as an example to explain what i mean

in the beginning of up, in the very first few minutes carl and ellie's characters have light years more personality then mirabel or luisa for example. The plot itself enhances it.

In the beginning of up, its very clear that carl is intorverted and uncertain, he wants more from life. he wants to go on adventures but he needs someone to be there for him. he needs someone to provide certainty and comfort even in chaos.

and ellie does exactly that. Her very first impression on carl and the audience makes it clear that she's very much into adventure and is the sun to carl's moon.

now what about isabella and mirabel?

they uh

have sister....problems...

and...

......

isabellla is a people pleaser i guess?

and what does the plot do to enchance this?

they make the dinner go wrong becuase of bruno's rats and mirabel gets blamed for it so isabella doubles down on her inner flaws???

like i get what they were trying to do with mira and isa's characters and what theme they were going for but it just fell really flat. the writing really failed in making me care about them or their issues. they seem like caricatures of real people who probably exist but they seem very one dimensional and flat.

honestly i think encanto would've been a lot better if it was a show as that would give the writers more time to flesh out these characters and make them loveable.

And this brings me to the most saddening part of this whole thing....

Disney dosn't care

they dont care that their ip would've benefited from being a show instead of a film, or that the final product is trash. All the care about is make touchy feely movies with the same theme and the same messed up message about love and boundaries over and over again with the same highly merchandisable characters that'll have the dolls and dresses flying off of the shelves because that's what it ultimately comes down to.

They don't care because they don't have to

Its simple really. they dont care because they're so absurdly big that it dosnt matter if they keep making terrible movie after terrible movie, uninspired sequel after uninspired sequel (lookin at u, frozen 2) because so many people are attached to the walt disney brand that they'll watch it regardless and buy the terrible quality merch without a second thought for their kids to play with so they can grow up and do the same thing to their kids.

Its tragic that this is what the beautiful medium of animation and film has come down to.

The Mystery of Anzu’s High Survival Rate

Aaahh I’m happy to finally get a chance to talk about the mystery of Anzu’s high survival rate!! I have thoughts.

For those who haven’t noticed the mystery, Anzu Kinashi is the sweetheart high-school clown girl dummy who can die in our first battle with an Obstructor. None of her advice during battles is useful. She has the appearance of being extremely helpless. And yet! She is the sixth most likely candidate to win, with an 8.0% survival rate. She is the second-highest place woman candidate in the line-up, behind Sara herself. Only the big, selfish, cowardly men stand between the two girls.

Sara’s absurdly high survival rate of 15.5% has become one of the game’s central mysteries. But what about Anzu’s high rate? Why is Anzu stronger than either of the Yabusames, who become her partners? Why is she stronger than Mai, who is shown to have a ruthless streak? Surely that’s a deliberate choice! Nankidai could have placed Anzu in the third quartile like Ranmaru, another innocent-looking high-schooler, but instead he placed her somewhere odd.

I’ve seen three theories for Anzu’s high rate, and I’ll go over how I feel about each of them. The first theory is that Anzu has a dark side to her personality, a ruthlessness which hasn’t yet revealed itself. The second theory is that Anzu is good at hiding and avoiding conflict, similar to the “Foxface girl” from Hunger Games. My friend came up with a third theory, which is my favorite: that Anzu’s chances of survival skyrocket in routes where Sara Chidouin dies. That Anzu is a back-up high school girl, and Meister will rig the game to favor a high school girl, even one with a more “helpless” personality.

1. Anzu has a dark side to her personality.

A recurring theme with the characters in YTTD is being “two-faced.” Shin/Sou is the most obvious example of this. A vulnerable young man named Shin adopted the more terrifying persona of Sou. He wears a metaphorical mask to cover his weak, kind self. Another example is Reko, a selfless woman who comes face to face with her previous selfish personality when she meets her doll. Keiji is also connected to this theme; he once had an honorable personality, but now he has lost that sense of honor.

Anzu literally wears a scary clown mask! Could that scary mask symbolize a scary persona, similar to Shin’s “Sou” persona? Perhaps all Anzu needs to do is tap into the courage that comes with acting like a scary clown, and then we’d finally see a more intimidating candidate.

I like this theory for how it ties into the “two-faced” theme, and that it suits Anzu’s theatrical inclinations!

2. Anzu is good at hiding.

This theory may sound the least exciting, but I actually like it.

Remember who else was good at hiding? Alice! He was so good at hiding that he even missed the Practice Vote, where Mishima died! The Practice Vote was only based on first impressions. Considering how quick everyone was to judge Alice for being a prisoner, it’s likely that he escaped an early death by missing that vote!

Alice can become Anzu’s partner, which potentially ties them together thematically. What if Anzu throws another curveball into the plot by finding a secret hiding place? I could imagine Nankidai doing this to “reward” the Player for keeping Anzu alive after the First Obstructor Battle. I’m picturing a scenario where Anzu finds a secret room with “hidden lore” for Asu-Naro that helps our understanding of the story, even if we don’t need to know it to win the game. That’s a totally out-there theory that likely won’t happen, but it’s fun to imagine.

I like this theory because it’s fun to remember that the candidates can survive in surprising ways. Sometimes the only way to win is to not play the game. It reminds us to think outside the box.

3. Anzu’s chances of survival skyrocket in routes where Sara Chidouin dies.

I’m so proud of my friend for coming up with this one! I think it’s genius!

This ties into the larger theory that the Mastermind behind the Death Game is the Man from the Memorandum, the winner of the past Death Game. The Man grew attached to a high school girl who died in that game. The common theory is that he intends to mold Sara into that girl by having her pass through the same trials, but this time he hopes that the role of “17-year-old school girl” will win.

I wrote my thoughts about this theory back in October, in which I brought up my friend’s other, parallel theory: that Shin Tsukimi is the “back-up” candidate to replace Sou Hiyori, who was meant to play the important role of “The Man from the Memorandum” himself. The role of “The Man” is our antagonist, whereas the role of the “High School Girl” is our protagonist. If the role of “The Man” was important enough to warrant having a “back-up,” surely the role of the “High School Girl” warrants that too!

What if—to boost the chances of a high school girl surviving—Meister included a “back-up high school girl”? That way, in case our protagonist Sara dies, he still has a second chance with Anzu? If we put Sara and Anzu’s percentages together, a high school girl has a 23.5% chance of winning. That’s almost 1 in 4 games. It’s still a risky gamble, but it’s safer than merely 15.5%.

What if—in routes where Sara died—“The Man Whose Views Most Aligned with Hers” (Keiji) was directed to protect Anzu instead? What if “A Boy Even Younger Than Her” (Gin) was also directed to provide Anzu with emotional comfort? Is that possible? Could those factors help even a girl as seemingly helpless as Anzu win the Death Game?

I love this theory because it ties so well with the other theories about Meister we’ve discussed on here. It would help us understand our “Big Bad” better. It also develops the setting better in showing how Meister could rig the game in a high school girl’s favor. So much is beyond our control!

This theory does the least to characterize Anzu herself, since it’s more focused on the setting. However, it could lead to her being more important to the story than we realize! Maybe the role of “back-up high school girl” would give her a chance to do something of narrative significance.

Ideal dates : these are dates he plans up ahead, makes sure they go smoothly and you're both are having fun. He really looks forward to these dates, they're like an event for him. He saves them up for important occasions like your anniversary, valentine's day, birthday, etc.

1. Spending a full day on the beach: when i say a full day I mean it, he's driving you there really early in the morning while you're struggling to stay awake in the passenger seat. He doesn't even need coffee he's running on 100% pure determination and will.

You'd arrive before anyone there, to get the best spot of course. It's close enough to the sea that you can feel the humidity of the water in the air, yet far enough from the rest of the beach that other people won't bother you.

He'd understand if you were too sleepy to help him set things up, he'd just kiss your forehead before letting you go back to sleep, promising he'll get you something to drink when the stores open.

You wake up to the smell of your favourite hot drink, just around 8am. The sun is up and the air is refreshing, you can hear the quiet chatter of people far away just arriving here. You sip your drink as Armin guides you to the small comfortable space he made, proudly showing off his work.

Please praise him and give him a kiss on the cheek, he will melt.

The rest of the day is spent with you two swimming lazily in the water, feeling the warm sunlight on your skin. Collecting whatever pretty seashell you see, using some to decorate the sandcastle Armin built with you. He takes a pictures of you at seemingly random moments, he promises to show you when he devolps them later.

You help him dry his hair afterwards, he take you to get ice cream. Despite getting you one too, he still ends up sharing his own with you, and if you're up for seconds he'd happily oblige.

When night falls and the people began leaving, the waves of the ocean get a little higher, wind turning colder. Don't worry, Armin thought about that, that's why he brought blankets.

He'd wrap you both in the same one, even holding you close to him, it's for warmth he says and yet he seems like he was looking forward for this. You help him in making a small bonfire, he brought marshmallows.

The rest of the night is spent with you laying against him while huddled in a blanket, looking at the heavens above and the constellation of the stars.

He takes your hand in his, guiding your finger to where polaris is. "It never changes" he says "no matter what" and from that star, he guides you through the formation of the little dipper.

Just right under it, directly under the polaris, begins the big dipper, a close replica to its little sister.

You spend hours like this, looking at the stars as new formations come and go with the time. You were early enough to catch Aries as it was leaving, pleiades, the seven sisters shining brightly next to it.

And just after midnight it was Sirius turn to say goodbye. That's when both of you decided to call it a night, he hugged you close to him, you could feel his heartbeat slowing down, he was oh so warm and tasted just like chocolate and marshmallows when you kissed goodnight.

2. Going on an adventure and trying new things: Armin has the need to try new things and gain new experiences, despite being someone who prefers small groups of friends and getting lost in a book than socialising. It's something that's been a part of him since he was a child, he wants to experience what the world has to offer and won't say no despite how utterly terrifying it can be to him.

And he wants to have those experiences with you, to share his love for the unknown with you, to see your reactions and share his own thoughts. The only thing that's better than going on adventures to him is going on adventures with you.

An adventure could be anything really, it could be going diving underwater or going to that creepy looking supermarket that never closes, you never know. An adventure is an adventure after all. The possibilities are endless.

So don't be surprised when he asks for you to go with him sky diving for his birthday despite knowing how terrfied he is of heights and how even a carnaval ride can make him sick.

Good or bad he doesn't care, he just wants to try and learn everything. He's full of curiosity and surprises that you'd never get bored, although a good thing about him is that he never is unprepared.

Yes he will take you on seemingly dangerous adventures but know that he really deeply thought about this before hand and is prepared for all the different scenarios that could happen, he likes the unknown but he's smart and cautious on how to approche it.

Not to mention that a single adventure can leave him satisfied for a long time before craving a new rush, probably once or twice a year. Just frequent enough to be something to look forward to but not too frequent that it becomes boring or too repetitive, he manages to keep that balance and walk on that thin line.

3. Hot air ballon ride: just imagine, it's early autumn, the weather is just right to wear those cozy yet good looking clothes, the earth seems like it's turning slower than usual as the trees change colours.

Around sunrise or sunset, both of you are high up in the air, the sun clearly in view with the golden clouds surrounding it. The world managing to look so small yet so vast at the same time.

Armin is wearing his favourite sweater and scarf combo, he's holding your hand in his pocket to keep it warm. It's just you and him isolated from the rest of the world like other people dont exist anymore, and strangely he's okay with that, at peace even.

He brings a camera and captures how the sun reflects in your eyes, how the chilly air makes you rub your hands together for warmth and how utterly breathtaking you look.

Beautiful, gorgeous even, these are the only thoughts in his mind at that moment.

And so Armin made a promise to himself that in the far future, when he wants to be even closer to you, to vow his life to yours, he'd propose on a hot air balloon.

But as much as he likes staying up in the air with you being his angel, the process of booking a ride is much more complicated and time consuming than he originally thought. Meaning he doesn't get to enjoy these rare heavenly moments as he wants to.

He needs to make reservations in advance, not to mention how important it is to choose a trustworthy company. Lastly how rides depend on the weather conditions, needing to reschedule if the weather takes a turn to the worse.

4. Visiting the aquarium or planetarium: he's just a boy with oceans for eyes and stars in his smile, can you really blame him for gravitating towards these places? Or for diving too deep in knowledge about the sky above and sea below?

Whenever the weather is too harsh for a beach trip or the sky is too cloudy for a stargazing night, these two places are his to go backups.

He's memorised the place like the back of his hand, no need for a map. Want to see the shark tanks and how they're doing? He'll take you there and introduce to them and the silly nicknames he gave them. Or how about saying hello to the dolphins who'll show off some moves just for your attention, or maybe you miss seeing the adorable penguins wobble around?

He knows endless facts about each fish kind, he makes it seem so fascinating and the way he phrases the information and coats them in milk and honey makes it impossible for you not to engage.

You both could have a slow with few words spoken walk and it still be as interesting, he'd even make special playlists to listen to while walking around and sharing his earphones.

Meanwhile at the planetarium, sometimes in the early mornings you'd run into kids just arriving for their school trip. Racing each other to the solar system panel and looking in amazement when the stars show begins. You and Armin have a nostalgic feeling when watching them, yet when you look at each other you remember how good it feels like to be grown and have someone special.

You never could get bored of seeing the stars, especially not with Armin.

5. Trying a new kind of art: one time you asked him what does he think the meaning of art is, what even is art?

"Art is communication" he said.

Armin has a deep love and appreciation for all kind of art, from classic oil canvas paintings to old greek sculptures. He doesn't pick a side, he likes both the modren and classic.

Music is art, writing is art and even making pottery is a form of art too. He wants to experience it, not for a need to acolmplish something or to rival Shakespeare, but for a need to communicate his emotions in a more subtle and personal way.

Like a secret language only he can decipher the meaning of, after all he was the one to create it.

Whenever he tries a new form of art, his usual fear of failure and absurdly high expectations actually go out the window. There isn't good and bad art, there's just different levels of communication and different styles.

So to him, the act of bringing you both some watercolours and cotton papers to paint on for a date is incredibly intimate, that's his true feelings and emotions he's showing you. But don't worry, he isn't here to take the whole thing seriously, he's actually playful and mellow most of the time.

Or maybe he'd like to make pottery with you, an excuse to put his hands around yours while sitting intimately close, maybe even give your shoulder a couple kisses while you shape the vase you agreed on making.

The next day, you find the finished vase near the window with a sunflower arrangements inside.

It also could be you two sitting next to each other, working together on a page of an adult colouring book or maybe to each one his own book. He'd hog the color blue most of the time so watch out, and don't lend him yours because he will hog it too.

Or maybe as a fun past time, you'd both attempt to make poetry, expect you're getting more and more drunk on the fruit flavoured beer he brought with him. You had fun laughing while reading what you came up with the next morning.

6. Going fruit picking in summer: it's his favourite way to celebrate the arrival of his favourite season, wear something light, pack some lemonade and go enjoy what mother nature has to offer.

You two would walk around in the fields, he's wearing a straw hat to block the sun, he thinks it looks better on you. Both of you looking at the fruits waiting to be picked, choosing the really unique shaped ones, the colourful ones and the especially delicious looking ones.

You might meet some small friends along the way, like a couple ladybugs that were crawling up Armin's arm. Two butterflies dancing in the air and even a frog that's taking a walk from its lake home nearby.

Going home that day with baskets full of different fruits waiting for your use, Armin and you discuss all the different ways you could use them for, like making delicious smoothies, or maybe saving them for baking a pie or cake. Maybe cutting them in small bites and covering them with different kinds of chocolate, maybe just making a fruits salad to enjoy while Armin reads you a book

Or maybe, maybe just washing them and eating them raw. Yeah that option sounds the most appealing after a day of walking through fields in the sun.

He'd feed you some, push them against your lips and smile when your eyes subtly light up at the sweet taste....maybe a kiss after so he could taste it too?

So they’re gonna be dating, even though nobody dates in this games it’s just “Hey, *insert awkward convo*” “Uh, *insert awkward response” “I love you” “LET’S GET MARRIED” and then wooptidoo a wild child appears. BUT, imma gonna try and make them a fluffy couple. So if you meant for them to be friends, I’m really sorry! And you can tell me and I can whip up another one-shot for you! Also, ngl, but RobTiki is starting to grow on me. I mean, RobAnna will always be my fav, but RobTiki is starting to make a place in my heart.

Also, it didn’t take me 8 years of playing Awakening to finally get Tiki cause I kept accidentally letting her die in her paralogue

“Where the hell did my coat go?” Yillise’s tactician thought to himself, going through everything trying to find his beloved coat. He had been searching for hours and unknowingly making his best friend worry.

“Robin?” Chrom said, startling the white-haired man.

“Gya!” Robin jumped, knocking over the absurdly large stack of papers next to him. Chrom sweatdropped, rushing to help his friend.

“Apologies, I didn’t mean to scare you.” The bluenette said.

“It’s nothing, but I do have a question. Have you seen my cloak?”

This question took Chrom by surprise, “All this fuss over a cloak?”

“Uh, no. I can’t say that I have. In fact, this is probably one of the first times I’ve seen you without it outside of training.”

Robin scowled, ”I don't wear it that often.” Chrom just gave him a look saying, ”seriously?” the tactician sighed, going off to try and find his girlfriend, Tiki. When he stepped out of the tent, a chill immediately wrapped around him, making him shake without his coat to protect him. He worried about his Manakete lover, knowing that she doesn't do well with the cold. 

Walking to a tree near the base to collect his thoughts, he found her. And Robin nearly died from the sight. 

Tiki, his beloved Tiki, was wrapped up in his cloak, and in a fetal position, fast asleep. His heart felt like it could burst at any moment because of how adorable the sight was. He chuckled and sat next to the sleeping manakete, moving her to where she was laying on his lap. He played with her soft green hair, careful not to wake her. But even with his careful hands, she awoke anyway. 

”Morning sleeping beauty.” he chuckled softly. Soaking in the beauty that was Tiki. 

”Robin, apologies. I should have asked for your cloak before I borrowed it. I pray you can forgive me.” she said, still resting her head on Robin’s lap.

”Its perfectly okay, I was just worried I lost it or something” He replied, reaching down to plant a kiss on her forehead. 

”You missed, ” She said casually. Robin choked on his spit, trying to make up possible other meanings for her words. Not that he didn't mind kissing her, in fact, he would love to. But it was still something he’d never done before. 

”I- uh- pardon?” he spluttered.

”I said, ”you missed” she repeated with a small smirk on her face. 

”Uh, well, I- I didn't know you could be so forward, ” he said, trying to grasp at what little composure he had left. 

”You didn't know me when I was younger, love, ” she giggled. That damned giggle. 

”Well, I guess that's true. But are you sure? I mean it's just, I've never done this before, and I really don't want to be a dissapoi-mph” his rant was cut off by Tiki’s hands, covered by the oversized sleeves. 

“Don’t take this the wrong way, love, but you need to talk less.” Tiki giggled. She moved her hands down and replaced them with her lips. Robin’s eyes widened, not knowing what to do, so the poor thing just sat there. Tiki soon pulled away, not making the kiss absurdly long. Both of them were as red as tomatoes. Robin was still in shock, not knowing what to say. Tiki just laughed and asked, “are you okay? Did I do it wrong? Oh no, you hate me now don’t you? I’m so sorry! I-“ the manakete was cut off by a deep chuckle. 

“I- no- it’s just, I’ve never been kissed before, and I’m still trying to decipher what the hell just happened.”

“Such eloquence”

“Hey! I’m just a little shocked that’s all. I mean, I’m not really that experienced in the area….”

Tiki cupped his face with her hand, staring into his eyes. They stayed like that for a good while, just getting lost in each other’s eyes. They stayed in a comfortable silence. Just enjoying each other’s company. That was until-

“Robin? Where are yo- oh.” Chrom started, accidentally walking in on an intimate moment between the two. The Manakete and the tactician just stared at the bluenette who just cleared his throat and said something along the lines of  “uh, sorry, I’ll talk to you later”.

Tiki and Robin looked back at eachother before bursting out in fits of laughter.

“You- you would think, that he wouldn’t be flustered by seeing two people holding each other. considering he’s married and has a child.” Robin said after calming down. 

Tiki hit him saying, “Be nice, he’s your captain, and your best friend.” 

“True, but let’s focus on that kiss we just had.”

“Oh? Who knew you could be so forward, Mr. Tactician?”

Robin’s face erupted in a blush, he sputtered out, “W-well, I-I uh, well, I um, m-” His stuttering was cut off by Tiki’s laughter.

“Pftttt you should have seen your face! It was like blehh” Tiki tried to mimic Robin’s face, failing miserably, but getting a chuckle out of Robin anyways. They fell into another comfortable silence.

“Hey, Tiki?”

“Yes Robin?”

“You make me happy, you know that right?” the manakete giggled at Robin’s question.

“Of course I know, you also make me very happy, Robin. But we should probably get headed back to the camp.” She said, while standing up. Robin’s breath hitched at the sight of Tiki in his cloak. Her green hair was in a messy ponytail, and the cloak made her look smaller than she already was. Tiki noticed Robin staring at her with a faint blush across his face. She giggled, making Robin blush even more. She started to take of the oversized coat, before Robin stopped her.

“No, you can keep it for today.”

“Okay, thank you love.”

OKAY, SO. For the past two and a half weeks-ish, life has been crazy 😂😂. But I am so sorry to @pholadis for having this come out so late. And honestly I’m not so happy about the result….and im also very sorry for how short this is... But I hope that you enjoyed, it was really fun to write!

Writing Update 5/19/19

Word Count: 4709, about 3000 from ATDADT and the rest from the Empath.

Favorite line: Showing up in the middle of his own living room with no backup and no one knowing where I was, would actually be the stupidest thing I could possibly do. So of course I do it. 

Update: I stg you can see Vincent’s last fucks drifting away in the wind the second Dusty buys him tea. Just like... whoops... there they go... Anyways, been a while for one of these, so why not do one at 10 at night when i said i’d go to bed an hour ago but stayed up writing. fun! I’ve been working on the Empath which i introduced about here, Btw, with a book cover that i am ABSURDLY proud of creating (i didn’t use a single template for that, btw, all me. graphic design is my passion guys ;) ) I love it, so much, but its been slow going just because... i dont actually know. ive been busy so we’ll blame it on that but really ive been writing it in 1500 word chunks which is slow for me. And then i completely fucked myself over while writing the tags for that post over there by thinking hey maybe i should turn atdadt into a novel because its shit as it is and i love the characters and could easily make it into a novel so maybe... and then i couldn’t STOP thinking about it during dinner and i showered and started planning the first scene and... now it’s two hours later at 10 at night, 3000 words later, and my fucks have gone out the window along with Vincent’s. SO. That’s how my night has gone. It’s turning out really good tho, ngl im really happy with it, and so like. yea. probably going to work on that more although i really want to push myself to finish the Empath too, since i’ve got like... one scene? and a half? planned to finish this, probably only 5000 words unless i get particularly wordy? so like, i need to FINISH THIS but it’s going to be hard now that my brain has locked onto ATDADT. i’ll try my best tomorrow but i’ve got work so that’s tough too. It’ll happen. Promise. But uh... that’s pretty much it. I need to sleep....

KiyoShi (Kiyoko Saito x Masashi Eizan)

KiyoShi really grew on me lately, ngl! Ironically, despite the fact that they are a pair of two anatgonists they just feel super wholesome to me ahdhdf. 

Okay but being real here, I am a little bit surprised with myself that KiyoShi exists in the way it does actually. In a sense, it’s not the type of relationship I thought I would write someday. Though granted, they’ve come a long way from their initial plans.

One of my first ideas for Kiyoko was to have her as Masashi’s only ally within the Elite 10, excluding his brother Shigeo of course. Kiyoko was also originally supposed to be more stoic, quiet and resembling of her father, Somei. Masashi and her were much of an antisocial pair of eccentrics back then, you could say. But I ultimately do think their dynamic nowadays is a lot more interesting and fun. Masashi is, and always was, an absurdly serious guy and I like it being balanced out with Kiyoko, who is a lot more bubbly in contrast. 

They were always intended to be a villain power couple, because I love villain power couples, however originally they weren’t childhood friends. It was only when I thought to myself “Hm, kind off want EtsuNe to be in contact with SoMomo in adulthood” that the childhood friend aspect was introduced into their relationship. But, surprisingly to me, I think it made it all the more richer and also strengthened their villain power couple bond. I mean due to that, Kiyoko and Masashi got to know each other inside and out and hold great trust in each other. They work together perfectly. AND they feel perfect for each other, ngl.

I like how they’re basically this elitist hothead and the spoiled mean girl, who are feared by the school they attend (”Glory and Gore” by Lorde) but all soft and supportive with each other (”Paper Rings” by Taylor Swift).

alSO, full support from both families, really! Kiyoko’s mom Momo is probably the numero uno KiyoShi stan, but everyone else is pretty much on board as well (Yoshiko denies it though, because she has a reputation as romance-despiser to uphold! And Somei hasn’t fully caught on yet, but when he does he is cool with it). But I would like to bring up Shigeo especially! Shigeo is possibly the greatest supporter of KiyoShi, within Totsuki, tbh. He is not as transparent about it as Momo is, but he really does want Kiyoko and Masashi to end up with each other actually! He is pretty close to Kiyoko after all and views her as much of a big sister, he genuinely wants her to be happy (and Masashi as well) and its just something I think is cute. So, while he often ends up in a third-wheel position, he does not really mind as long as they progress ahdhd. 

Finally, I think my aim in my portrayal of KiyoShi, in SnKimiko at least, is to make it seem like this two are long married already even though they are not because Masashi do be dense. I feel, like I will have a lot of fun with them in the future and they will surely warm my heart a great number of times as well! & I still think it is interesting how much they have grown on me lately.

I don't think that I shipped them right on sight, but at the same time I can not really remember a time where I was not shipping RyoAli dshhdfhf.

RyoAli, to me at least, is just a lot of fun. Their dynamic is so incredibly entertaining and it is always a good time whenever these two are on screen, interacting. (No Energy x Too much Energy is always a good time as well)

I feel RyoAli is pretty easy to get into because not only are they fun, they also start off with a lot of foundation. I think the fact that they’ve known each other for such a long time is shown through many subtle means (and not-so subtle means ahdhd) and it’s clear that these two know each other really well. I am especially weak for the scenes that showcase just how much trust the two do hold in each other’s skills and abilities (so many moments of them just having a proud “yes, that’s my husband/wife-smile” whenever the other does something badass, I love)!! Yet they still challenge and balance each other out nicely, it’s good stuff!!

Also come onnn, that black/white combo??? I am here for that

The only major gripe I have is the ending that canon gave them :/ Having Ryo be Alice’s butler for all her life was not really what I wanted from him and frankly, I don’t think that Alice wanted that for him either. 

Alice obviously has a lot of trust in Ryo’s skills as a cook and she even nagged at him when he wasn’t the one to win the Autumn Election Finale. I don’t know, I just think she would want him to use all of his talent abd make the best of his potential. I feel, she wants to see him go far. (Not that Alice’s career in Les Dessert was all too exciting either)

But fortunately Les Dessert Canon means nothing to me anyway and I can continue on picturing this power couple & their Yin-Yang-Twin Daughters as the pinnacle of Japan’s culinary business. 

TL/DR: Smug, bossy princess & her stoic bodyguard, not afraid of calling her out when he needs to. How can I not stan?
